no
Nope. Not ever. .........EVER. Even after the universe suffers heat death, and the last piece of matter has decayed into nothingness, bitcoin will live on...like Jesus or 80's rock. All Hail Bitcoin!! Yes if you follow the true beliefs of a "true believer" to it's ultimate extent, that is actually what they truly think will happen. It's ridiculous beyond any notion but here it is: Ever noticed the terminology "Bitcoin singularity" here in the speculation forum? As I mentioned in my thread "This is what some of you actually believe" it is borrowed from transhumanism which in term uses it to describe two things: 1. infinite technological progress in a finite amount of time and 2. which is essentially the same thing when it comes down to it the the actual heat death of the universe itself as described in tiplers omega point. The latter is the holy grail of transhumanism and as such of Bitcoinism which falls under the same category. In one sentence the omega point consists of a computer made up of all matter the universe build by it's inhabitants to simulate not only infinite universes but every possible universe recursively. (Said to be possible because of time dilation effects) In a sense it's both the most romantic and delusional idea I know, for what's it worth. That Bitcoiners don't even know for themselves what they are talking about only makes this more funny mention. PS: No I am not trolling PPS: Ignore at your own peril

Long term bullish. It's actually something that's not affected by the hype and bubble mentality.
It doesn't affect how high we can go but limits how deep we can fall.

still someone on board who calls this a "bulltrap" ?
Nah it's either a beartrap or "back to normal" I don't really believe in a beartrap, but I am prepared for one if it happens.

As a fellow bear let me tell you: There isn't really a upper or lower limit for the valuation of individual Bitcoins, just a limit on the real market capitalization.
"0" should be a lower limit. Modern finance gave us negative interest, but I fail to see how a digital key can have a negative value. In a a way. But considering how many people are buying BTC on credit that may not actually hold true. The key itself may not go into the negative value but it could be possible for one bitcoin to be considered equivalent to a certain amount of debt.* *In a way that's what happened with bank bailouts

We understand you're a bear, then you should simply leave the forum. This forum is for people that believe in the bitcoin system as more than a speculative tool. You don't seem to believe in the future of bitcoin at all therefore I'm not sure why are you even here.
Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Economics > SpeculationHAHAHAHAHA oh wow.

They are on mtgox, their api says they are worth zero. Get it?
Show me where I can buy them. duh. You can't since they say they are worthless

Soon BTC will reach another all time high and you will be PS "there is a manipulation in price by big dogs"... U may be right... But this will not destroy BTC... In fact, market volatility... Is certainly attracting more folks than BTC's practical uses, IMO. Is this so wrong? No I will be like

Man, the fact that that money's not going out means people are thinking about putting it back in.
I think we're on the verge of another bubble... already!
This time I'm betting we'll be going up, up, up, without the nasty crash of last time.
The fact that there is so little delay between those bubbles makes me think that this time we will have higher highs and probably higher lows then during the last bubble but not that much difference in between. Maybe we'll top out at 350$/BTC or so but we wont go to 1000$ straight away because not much has changed during the last bubble. Infrastructure still has to be built, money has to flow in, people have to wrap their heads around it before they invest. After the coming bubble's burst we shoud be able to see the big underlying trend and trend channel that all the coming bubbles will follow for some time. I envision something like that: Yes that's exactly what will happen.

Ever sold some of your BTC and didn't withdraw the USD because you wanted to make more of it?
That's the majority.

Agreed. My Nintendo 64 was state-of-the-art for 4 long years in which it gave me immense pleasure and had a big part in making me who I am now. I have no problem with Bitcoin achieving the same status.
haha, I agree.

What the hell, might give it a try, I've always enjoyed your posts

Does that even scale?

That's quite romantic

don't you try to be authoritative with your assertions. can't see the difference except you are always saying single digits etc
If people wonder why I don't reply to ElectricMucus, the reason is I ignored him long time ago and don't see his posts. I agree that he is the most pathetic troll, acting as if he did not understand anything that I say, for some reason thinking that the forum is pleased to be reminded about his ignorance several times per day. Please reply if you have ever received any value from this douche dude's got a lot of time free time on his hands. that or he is being paid by someone to troll In a way it's guys like rpietila which pay me. The more they pump the scheme up the more I can siphon off from it. LOL which is why you would want the price to go to single digits? How does him pumping the price make it go to single digits? I don't really care when it comes down to it. I just want more of his money

If it looks like a bull trap, smells like a bull trap it is probably a bull trap.
History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes. Last burst, most people expected Bitcoin to die and never to come back. This time, everyone expects a 3rd, and much bigger bubble than the previous 2. If this really is a dead cat bounce you may loose 60% on the way down. But if you sell off right now and tomorrow Cyprus 2.0 happens in Malta, or possibly in Spain, you miss the train. I rather risk a loosing half of my gains so far before I watch Bitcoin racing into 4-digit land without me. Cyprus didn't have any effect except making the already existing buyers buy more because they expected new buyers, which didn't happen. There are plenty of articles which already debunk this. You are right that there is a certain level of harmony in those pump & dump cycles. But that is not something that can be analyzed with intuition. The expectations in this forum are much different than the one the public has. And ultimately that is what matters for a bull market to re-establish itself. Potential new speculative growth potential is near nil, only the cheerleaders and the sheep which follow them are buying at these prices. Every body else is waiting for the dead cat to stop spinning in mid air and hit the ground again. You are on your own.

Am I supposed to take that troll attempt seriously?
So you are taking the easy way out: Instead of tackling my arguments you accuse me of trolling. Cool bro, not that this is anything new.
