3581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: January 18, 2021, 06:17:50 AM
thats bad  Cry Cry Cry if the hacker have your phone and the email your done because forget password is need Phone number and the email but if the ledger need phrase key and the company can give it to someone else, maybe its because u are using same password on every account because that happen to me on 2014
3582  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto friendly countries, where and how to exchange your crypto with 0 taxes on: January 18, 2021, 05:56:18 AM

Crypto friendly =/= crypto tax free.

Every government is running on the tax collected from their citizens so if you are going to involve your bank account for the conversion then you are liable to pay the taxes as per your government rules, if not then its tax evading.

The smart way to avoid paying taxes even when you involve your bank account by means of p2p which is suitable for small amount not for huge amount but still its an evading ethically.
but maybe

i dont know about that country are but i do aggree with this

but here in indonesia i dont pay taxes for bitcoin and i usually withdraw it for my local bank and its fine  Grin Cool
3583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins are not actual fiat on: January 17, 2021, 07:44:04 AM
At the same time if something happens to your stablecoin or to the company that issues it, fiat and bitcoin will remain unaffected.

What are the chances of something happening to fiat money like USD or EUR compared to something happening to some stablecoin like USDt that isn't even backed 1:1 and refused to undergo an audit?

Yes, stablecoins are not fiat money but are they better? I'd rather have bitcoin or good old cash than a promise from Tether.

yea, there some "conspiracy" about USDT but i agree to invest in bitcoin or gold rather than USDT

Fiat is different from crypto, there is no actual fiat in crypto but there are pegged 1:1 crypto such as tether in reflect to USD. Is it legal? YES.

Stable coins and fiat are widely compared due to its low volatility status thus stablecoins are used in common scenarios such as safe haven from market volatility. They are not actual fiat but they act like a fiat in crypto world. You'll understand this thing once you started trading and use stablecoins.

and yes usually im using USDT for exchange to exchange transaction because low fee and the price remain stable
3584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question on bitcoin and alt season on: January 17, 2021, 07:38:08 AM
yeah i also curious about when this exactly to be happen

We really don't know when the alt season has started yet or not. Ethereum though, the prime mover in Altcoin are close to being reaching it's precious highs. But if you have to look at the dominance, bitcoin still takes over 70% so again, will there be any alt season when all the money is still on BTC.

And as far as past trends, as bitcoin narratives has shifted, this kind of correlations might not be true at all, just saying. Altcoin investor has mature as well, no longer the irrational buyers that we have witnessed in 2017.

i think is not started yet, i dont know when this happen but i believe in couple of month will se the price changing (Hopefully)
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP SEC lawsuit complaint on: January 17, 2021, 07:05:40 AM
Over the years, executives of Ripple Labs have sold hundreds of thousands of unreported XRP coins, hiding this fact from the Ripple community who invested in this coin. In any case, it is very similar to abuse of their position.
In fact, they have already pleaded guilty, inviting the SEC to enter into negotiations over the lawsuit filed on December 22. Most likely, after paying billions of dollars in penalties, Ripple will return to normal.

And i hope so ripple will return to normal and also normal price too. I buy ripple at high price when the coin had announcement about flare network that give free FLR coin for XRP Holder and i still hold till SEC come to play and the price going down so deep shi*  Cry
3586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Trust this type Offer on: January 16, 2021, 05:20:18 AM
I also received the email, from yobit open till now there so many people that exchanger is scam and yobit also have some advertising like this like get 1700$ for free and so on 3 year ago i try wd from this exchanger is fine but i don't trust it anymore
3587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thats weird on: January 16, 2021, 05:15:51 AM
It's not. If you look at the addresses in the transaction, the first few addresses are unique and forms a sentence if you put them together. It's a typical advertisement spam. Some bots usually parse the addresses that were in the earlier Bitcoin block's coinbase and sends funds to them with a specially crafted address as a form of advertisment, in hopes that they are of sufficient interest and people would notice them. It's only indicative of something when funds are sent from the address, not when funds are sent to it.
That is a pretty crafty advertisement and that is the first time that I have heard of one. In my opinion, although it is a crafty one, I do not think that it is a good mass advertisement for their product or services because first of all, not many will notice and some of them might notice but never bat an eye and it will be another smaller percentage of people that are going to be genuinely interested.

Yep is just advertising and advertising like that is cost much money i saw it to in top richlist bitcoin address usually have something like this
3588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry guys.. Bitcoin is not for our day-to-day transactions. on: January 16, 2021, 04:15:05 AM
Yes that kinda true remain like this with same total supply and 1mb per block

Bitcoin is higher fee because so many transaction and the price keep rising up for hodl is good choice
Even the omni token has higher fee

I think for daily use we can use altcoin like ethereum or litecoin maybe
3589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees on: January 15, 2021, 06:52:11 AM
Yes buying bitcoin like planting trees but dont push yourself to buy if you can afford it

Buy with dollar cost averaging strategy just like me  Grin and if you want try to hold there's guide in another post on Bitcoin discussion

Good luck  Cool
3590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice for beginner HODLers on: January 15, 2021, 06:40:54 AM
Buying and HODLing BTC is not rocket science(even though buying BTC can be a little bit complicated and expensive with KYC policies).
Newbies would need a Trezor wallet, only if they plan to buy big amounts of BTC,I'd say more than 0.1BTC.There's no need of a Trezor wallet,if the investor plans to HODL 0.01 BTC for example.
Not falling into crypto investment scams is just common sense.
Downloading an app like Coingecko to track the Bitcoin price is pointless. If somebody plans to be a long term BTC HODLer,then tracking the Bitcoin price every day is not needed, and the price volatility might drive him crazy. Grin
Yea i do agree with you, im using online wallet but i have the private key and is below 1 bitcoin  Grin
Not falling in crypto investment this big yes for me since i join crypto industry scammer is poped out everywhere and if u join multiple telegram groups they also try scam with dm you damnnn they also smarter nowadays  Cheesy
But about coingecko i think is still good to install it but dont to much look at it there's fiture "Portofolio" you guys can fill with price you are buying and how much of it etc and can set price alert to highest bid  and good luck Cool

3591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is proof of work? on: January 15, 2021, 06:24:52 AM
Its well written but in my opinion you could add more information another consensus like PoS and PoP and other things

Keep it up  Cool
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh that feeling... when the price goes crazy...after you sold! on: January 13, 2021, 01:40:48 AM
The felling is more crazy if the price keep up and you dont have any to sell ouchhhh just like me hahahhah watch and smiley
3593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: again a Bitcoin millionaire who forgot his password on: January 13, 2021, 01:35:52 AM
That's so sad. It is also sill that someone in the I.T industry would make such a foolish mistake. Furthermore, the ironic thing is they encrypted their USB to "protect it" By using security and "protecting it" they shot themselves in the foot. No point trying to protect something that is under no threat. They should never have encrypted it and rather just kept it somewhere where it stays offline and safe.

The chances of this happening vs the chances of being hacked are way off.

That's to bad

I actually just like this guy i don't pretty care with Private key cause doesnt have much money in it but now i do care much more but 7000 is Freaking crazy
3594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you’re extremely nervous about this drop, then you’re overexposed on: January 13, 2021, 01:12:37 AM
I personally don't see any reason why people need to be exceptionally nervous or worried about the market because of the recent dip which actually makes me happy because it just a sign that the previous surge in price is not a bull trap since the market holds steady to the $30K-33K price range. Besides, it just a preparation for the upcoming bull market.
But if it happen that someone was unable to sleep because of the dip it either hes overexposed or lack crypto wisdom.

Agreed this was price correction usually the price wil go higher after that just like 4 years ago after first bull run

btw altcoin still not touch their new ATH
3595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: January 12, 2021, 11:56:13 AM
Punch in their faces  Grin Grin Grin Joking

you did good try to educate him, hoax news is everywhere nowadays so tell him to check resource before tell everyone else
3596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How risky is Tether to Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2021, 02:31:55 AM
There is an article by NotATether created on this forum, it will help you know how tether is shady.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274931.msg55170530#msg55170530

S*hit its crazy even only speculation

I think it will not affect the value of bitcoin, because tether also has its own market and is not interrelated between bitcoin and tether.
Thether does not collerate with bitcoin's price, though. It collerates with USD (fiat) and always maintain it's 1:1 ratio. In short, even if USDT disappears, BTC will still maintain its value since it has a comparative value in USD (fiat) and other altcoins (e.g. ETH, BNB, XRP, XLM, etc). However, I do think that any stories about USDT being a threat to BTC are just mere speculations and theories that might be created by BTC non-believers and those who are pissed off of themselves for not buying BTC when it's still 0.01USD. Those people will always be a laughing stock of the crpyto-world (e.g. the man who bought pizzas for few BTCs). There's a lot of conspiracy theories that appeared about BTC, but none of those have stopped BTC in reaching the $40k mark.

it is not affected the price of bitcoin but if the speculation was right and usdt scam its affected bitcoin price but i still hope is just speculation
3597  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of BTC might go down on: January 11, 2021, 02:26:35 AM
Looks like correction is starting now , dropping from 41k to 37,000$ this moment.
yes i think so i waited this so long tho  Grin

Quote
I don't have enough fiat to keep buying, but if I had, I would. Nothing to worry about guys, short term drops are normal in bull markets since price likes to retest fib lines.
Quote
Not i am considering Buying and selling as the correction is in the moment , any pump will happen anytime soon.

after the correction will pump again but there's also chance to altcoin getu pumped to after bitcoin halving -> bitcoin pump -> altcoin pump
3598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin outperforming Gold on: January 10, 2021, 01:57:28 AM

Bitcoin prices is still volatile, and we can't assure the price of it to be stable, unlike gold who has been kinda stable with a low percentage of changes in its price. But I would say that bitcoin surpasses gold in price, but not in its stability.

If you seek long term save of your asset, without the risk of it reduced in value, then go for gold. But if you are a risk-taker, and seeks a long term investment, then go for bitcoin.

I just want to say this  Cheesy but this guy is true bitcoin prices is very volatile so i would say invest in bitcoin is high risk
Gold is stable safe haven low risk

why not invest in both right  Cool

But there's people say "High Risk High return  Grin"
3599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy New Year Bitcoiners on: January 10, 2021, 01:51:35 AM

3600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: January 10, 2021, 01:46:47 AM
Well my friend ,having bit coin wealth is great , but how to you spend it at Walmart ? A lot of banks refuse to accept cash transfers from bitcoin exchanges , Bank of American among them. All the major Canadian banks have black listed bit coin exchanges, you cant buy BC with their credit cards . MBNA has black listed listed all their credit cards even the one issued to me by Amazon.ca .

 IMO
Well my friend you can still buy things with bitcoin using bitcoin debit card there's dozen on the internet neteller payeer crypto.com etoro you name it after get MasterCard you can spend it on anywhere oh and also if paypal development about crypto have progress maybe the store that accept paypal is start accepting bitcoin. Newegg, Vultr, Namecheap and many more is already crypto as payment

No need actually to convince them to join in the digital currency. Let them come to find out the benefit of the digital currency and how they could earn. If we wish too that all of them will going to join at once then we could not get the thrill of how bitcoin market evolve. All has the process and I bet bitcoin is already making its way for thw users and to the upcoming bitcoin users in the future. Well, let us hope that there will be another bitcoin ATH in the future like this bull trend.

Total agree
