Anyone watch the game last night? I’m surprised this hasn’t been brought up yet. Brady was a guest on the Peyton & Eli Show and they asked him about his 600th TD ball that Mike Evans gave to someone in the stands by mistake. First Peyton quipped “Are you turning the ball in to an NFT” and then after they were talking about how the guy who gave the ball back getting a raw deal (some estimate it’s worth 500k), Tom then said they are giving him 1 Bitcoin, so it’s not all that bad of a deal. Pretty awesome!!

https://youtu.be/BjXo7vJ4_sE
2:08- NFT quip
2:46- bitcoin

The 1 bitcoin given might be worth than the ball on 2027 and Brady might offer the ball in exchange for 1 bitcoin hehehe.

In any case, what is everyone’s evaluation on Dak Prescott’s injured calf? Will he play? The Cowboys are only -2.5 versus Minnesota Vikings. Cowboys can win this -7 against the spread with Dak Prescott, I reckon. Is everyone expecting Dak Prescott to be out of this game?
3582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 27, 2021, 05:15:23 AM
Too late for that. Mining pools around the world are starting to ban Chinese IP addresses of miners and CCP is not going to force pools to start unbanning them. Maybe they should've thought twice on how such a ban would've affected their political standing (and that of their rivals) before hastily pushing on with it.

Besides, it would interfere with China's carbon-neutral ambitions.

Agreed. China would never surrender on their fight on carbon neutrality. They have stopped their importation of thermal coal from Australia already and this is causing an energy shortage. Also, we may discover that China’s ban on mining is not because they think bitcoin is a threat. They did the ban possibly because they might be expecting more energy shortages.
3583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 27, 2021, 04:38:00 AM
I created this thread to test everyone. I am very happy to know that everyone has has become skeptical with mainstream news media and cryptonews media. 3 years ago i reckon many people would be larping on that fake news hehehe. The real environment for energy in China is Beijing is fighting for carbon neutrality. The ban on mining will never be lifted.

3584  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Seizing Accounts! on: October 27, 2021, 02:13:35 AM
@LoyceV. That makes the argument stronger that the Netherlands is certainly the largest receiver of cocaine from Colombia and maybe also all other forms of narcotics from all over other countries like Mexican methampetamines. I speculate other exchanges should be receiving letters from the government of the Netherlands.

Also, there was a news update that Massage Watson might be traded to the Dolphins or the Panthers. The relaxation therapists in Miami and Carolina are presently on alert status.

Funny, I always thought they were high end hookers?

They are only high end hookers if they do not file a lawsuit hehehe. However, this Massage Watson is a famous client who relaxation therapists can make much money by filing a lawsuit.

My three-game winning streak come to an end, congrats to bbc.reporter! You just can't win if the opposing kicker outscores your WR1/RB2, you can't.

Thank you hehehe. It was not only the kicker. I was also lucky with Kenyan Drake and Javonte Williams scoring more than 10 fantasy points each. They usually score less than 10 in most of their games this season.

Theoretically, i still have a chance for a comeback, here's what i need from Saints D/ST tonight:

7-13 pts allowed - 3pts
200-299 yards allowed - 2pts
fumble recovered for TD - 6pts
interception - 2pts
sacks x5 - 5pts

total 18pts

Quote
NFL weather forecast: Colts-49ers, Saints-Seahawks to see heavy rain, wind in Sunday, Monday prime time games

That would certainly have been the comeback of the week hehe.

Saints won but did not win against the spread. It appears these -4 offers should be avoided, only bet on -3 and -2.5 or less.
3586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Crypto founder Do Kwon explains why he's suing the SEC on: October 26, 2021, 02:38:34 AM
This is a very important lawsuit not only for Do Kwon and his project Terra. It is also very much important for the cryptospace because this lawsuit might set a precedent for other lawsuits to point to and specify how the SEC is abusing their power to persecute innocent people. We should follow this lawsuit’s development.

Terraform Labs co-founder and CEO Do Kwon, who sued the SEC Friday to quash a recent subpoena, explained to Yahoo Finance at Monday's All Markets Summit that regulators are still learning that some of the code and protocols launched in the sector are no longer controlled by centralized entities, but rather communities.

Declining to comment on the specifics of his latest lawsuit against the SEC, Kwon pointed to the reality of of how new technology is changing how companies like his quickly cede control of projects that are run by token holders.

3587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 26, 2021, 01:50:07 AM
What do bitcointalk’s community and users think and speculate about this latest news development? Would anyone consider that the Chinese government might be recognizing that they have made a mistake and might be ready to unban mining for bitcoin and other cryptocoins?

According to CoinTelegraph, China’s National Development and Reform Commission (CNDRM) is now seeking public opinion on the inclusion of crypto mining in its list of “phased-out” industries, after seeing that the ban helped the U.S. to become the world’s dominant crypto mining nation.

It looked like China’s stance regarding crypto mining was finally cemented with the ban imposed in May this year, after it had been going back and forth on the issue since 2019, but now, they are skeptical after most of the Bitcoin hashing power was relocated from China to other states, helping the U.S. become the leading hashrate provider.

3588  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Seizing Accounts! on: October 26, 2021, 12:38:57 AM
If these claims on Binance are true and if the Dutch government has really been behind this, then we can assume that those accounts are involved in money laundering, drugs trafficking and other forms of financing criminality which used Binance as their exchange of choice.

The Netherlands is also one of the biggest receivers of cocaine produced in Colombia. These claims of lifetime savings being seized are only claims until we can confirm that those people behind them are innocent. Why would Binance seize accounts without good reasons?

Psychotics get their first win of the season!

Will be tough to do when the opposing team is borderline cheating:

Loading...

He's bored running through people and getting TDs on the ground, that's just too easy. iirc he had one against Baltimore two years ago in the postseason. Funnily enough, the first TD of the day was also a trick play, Bourne to Agholor.  What's up with the Chiefs though, no touchdowns, turnovers all over the place, can't stop anybody from scoring...?

My three-game winning streak come to an end, congrats to bbc.reporter! You just can't win if the opposing kicker outscores your WR1/RB2, you can't.

Elijah Mitchell 100 rush yards and a TD, who says no?  Grin

3590  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese construction Mega-Bankruptcy. Evergrande about to crash for 355B on: October 25, 2021, 01:09:13 AM
Those properties in the ghost cities were not built because the people could buy them. Much of those construction projects in China were built because it helped increase the country’s GDP artificially. What we are presently witnessing is the cost of this unmaintainable scam.
That's what I am trying to understand. If nobody is buying it, and it is artificially increasing the GDP, that still doesn't help the people, that still doesn't help the ones that built it, that just increases GDP for a while in a fake manner, but the reality will be open eventually, which we are seeing right now. I mean did they really assumed they would avoid the consequences of their actions? That literally never happened in history of humanity before, would it suddenly start happening now?

Every bad move has a bad consequence and that is what we are seeing, it was obvious from the start. Even if people managed to buy a few, how many could have they bought? It was obvious that it was a failed move, and the result is exactly what is suppose to be.

I am not certain how and who profits from the scam, however, we can assume that there is always someone who makes money in the scam. Also, this is very much similar to much of the projects in the cryptospace. Project owners will keep continuing the scam until unprofitable or caught by regulators.
3591  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-10] AMC will accept bitcoin as payment for movie tickets by year end on: October 25, 2021, 12:16:01 AM
Also, everyone should also read that AMC is not in a good situation financially. I have also read that they cannot issue common stock anymore. This is why they create their scamcoin hehehe.

Stock seems to be doing fine, investors seem to like it.

And although they do have a lot of debt they have plenty of cash on hand: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMC/key-statistics?p=AMC

Not thrilled about the fact that they are using BitPay to process crypto, but at the moment I don't know of any other provider that has integration with existing POS terminals so their choices may have just been limited.

-Dave

Everyone likes AMC similar to Gamestop because similar to Gamestop, it is one of the most traded meme stocks. Also, the best measure for a company is the quarterly revenues, if this is going higher or lower yearly and quarterly.

@SFR10. I reckon you have been investing in the cryptospace for very a long time to know what is their real motive hehehe.
3592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 24, 2021, 09:33:28 AM
@nutildah. Indianapolis Colts +3.5 might be good for a bet. I have not followed these 2 teams very closely, however, the Indianapolis Colts is 4 - 2 against the spread and San Francisco 49ers is only 1 - 4 against the spread. Also, there is argument that Colts might win because San Francisco is on a losing streak and has not won in their home stadium?
3593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 24, 2021, 08:29:24 AM
@TheNineClub. The score the 3 judges gave is 48-46, 48-46, 48-46. If we remove the point deduction it would be 3 48-47. The fight was 3 rounds won for Marvin Vettori vs. Paulo Costa’s 2.

Also, the point deduction for the accidental eye poke was very much unfair for Costa, I reckon. I have never before seen a referee remove a point immediately from the very first accidental eye poke.
3594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 23, 2021, 07:16:16 AM
It appears this Mexican Irishman has a plan hehehe. Caleb Plant might create some good rounds for himself, I reckon in the beginning. However, many boxing experts and commentators predict that Canelo will find his range, begin applying his tactics, shoulder rolls and cominations with power punches. Under 9.5 rounds according to Canelo’s own prediction.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SuJuZWobkuI

Is that under 9.5 rounds already have a betting odds?

I guess I'm willing to risk on that as long as the odds are good, knowing Canelo, although he is a slow starter, but once he sees an opportunity to KO an opponent, he would always take the opportunity and if Plant is only all talk, then for sure we can't expect this fight to end in 12 rounds.

Yes, it is presently available in Nitrogensports and Cloudbet. However, I think the odds are not very good but not very bad also. It is only fair odds hehehe. I am also not a professional sportsbettor. If I see bet offers I want that are more than 2.00 odds, they are good for me hehehehe.
3595  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL] What to expect from Bitcoin in 2022? on: October 23, 2021, 06:30:09 AM
@gabbie2010. You should begin to be cautious on 2022. You created your bitcointalk account on 2017, you should be familiar with the feeling of 2018 hehehe.

In any case, we see years after since 2014, Mt.gox appears to be here again to cause another dump on the market. Rehabilitation for the creditors will be finalized on November 20. Those creditors will receive 137,890 coins.

3596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF by 2nd quarter of 2021? on: October 23, 2021, 04:26:04 AM
I also disagree that the ETF hype is dead. It will come back again, all of you wait.

It appears everyone also thought I was an antagonizer when I was speculating bullishly on an ETF for bitcoin last year hehehe. I might have made a mistake on the timeline, however, the ETF hype might has clearly returned, very much not similar to much of everyone’s sentiment when the thread was created.

Similar to the bull markets before this, bitcoin bear market begins on December or January. The schedules of ETF approval go up to December 2021. I assume the ETF hype will go up to those dates also.
3597  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-10] AMC will accept bitcoin as payment for movie tickets by year end on: October 23, 2021, 03:28:21 AM
It appears that AMC has shown their real roadmap on why they have begun adopting and accepting cryptocoins. Similar to much of the creation of the altcoins, AMC also wants to create its own scamcoin to dump on the community. I reckon they are late 5 years hehehehe.

AMC’s stock price has soared this year on the back of the meme stock phenomenon, along with an increased focus on what its vocal social media fans demand—including accepting cryptocurrency payments. Now the movie theater chain may even be looking to roll out its own coin.

3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 22, 2021, 08:05:32 AM
@South Park. Thank you, I copied your post to a notepad for future reference hehe.

In any case, who was the lucky player who got D'Ernest Jones? If I read suchmoon’s post I would have cancelled my first choice waiver wire for Chris Evans which I also dropped. I added Kenyan Drake. What is everyone’s rating for him?

Yeah he was the fantasy of the week pick up but I'm not convinced on him actually doing well.  All their wrs are banged up and back up in.  Guarantee browns see a lot of 8 in the box daring them to pass.  If you are short an rb definately a good pickup but he isn't going to be the answer, rarely is a third stringer a ff darling.

Well I couldn't have been anymore wrong.  Dude tore it up tonight.  140 yards rushing and a td and topped it off with a couple catches for 22 yards.  He shredded Denver all night they had no answer for him.  Whoever has him contrats.

If I knew and studied the rules more closely D'Ernest Johnson would have been in my fantasy team hehe. Javonte Williams scored a touchdown for me, however. He gave me 11 fantasy points, 3 more than the projection. I am now hoping my other replacement running back, Kenyan Drake will give me at least 8 points.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: October 22, 2021, 07:20:07 AM
That was really hard one to predict the fighters who would win. For the main bout with Ladd many blamed the coach for being too aggressive inbetween rounds with it coming down to being verbally abusive. I didn't see it if there was.

The next fight night this weekend should be easier to manage with Costa returning after along pause and these two have faced the current champion in their weight class Adesanya and lost.

This UFC fight night lines are available but from what I have seen so far they will change:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/mma/ufc/ufc-fight-night-costa-vs-vettori/matches

Couldn't really catch good footage of the "verbal abuse" but yeah as I mentioned a few days ago, am slightly surprised to hear that from this kind of competition. Isn't it supposed to be full of nails and grit and blood etc.? Shouldn't shouting me part of it? Heh. Hairdryers probably just out of the question then.

Adesanya, when does he fight again btw?
Adesanya was scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker for a rematch this november at madison square garden but it has been postponed until next year.
He is planning on moving his entire camp to the states. Probably due to covid restrictions traveling between UFC venues. Thus it not taking place during UFC 268 as it was first scheduled to be. The article is here:
https://www.mmafighting.com/2021/9/27/22695497/israel-adesanya-move-united-states-resume-career-never-fight-new-zealand

It appears that Israel Adesnya is very offended by the government of New Zealand for not giving an exception for the UFC to organize for his next championship fight in his country. It was very valuable to him. That event would have been a marketing dream for him because Robert Whitaker is from Australia.

@cabron. Robert Whitaker is given another chance by uncle Dana because he won versus everyone in the top rankings of middleweight except Adesanya after he fought Adesanya hehehe.
3600  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-10-14] U.S. Claims Top Spot For Bitcoin Mining As Miners Flee China ban on: October 22, 2021, 06:41:29 AM
@Kakmakr. The miners will then be under the tolerance of the government of the country where they move only if they want to tolerate them. You also get the drift?

I was not convinced in Asic resistance before and considered this useless. I supported the mining algorithm change for Aeon to K12 to make it easier for the development of Asics. This appears to be a mistake, however. Research for Asic resistance is very much needed to avoid the weaknesses of centralization and other threats on mining. We are witnessing it in bitcoin.
