3581  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 12, 2021, 12:55:53 PM
yes, surely everyone seems to be against corruption because it steals and violates the rights of others, especially for the sports industry which has a large scope. and even defrauding athletes, sponsors, governments for personal gain I think that's a very evil thing. what else is done by people or groups who are already very rich.
We're all against corruption especially if it's with our favorite team and sports. But those groups are rich enough and untouchable. They really are hard to be caught.
Those corrupt people that are keep doing it under the sports management, they really don't think of anything but only wants to gain for themselves.
That's full greediness, corruption usually came inside, may it be coming from the management, the players, or the refs of the game. I followed basketball most of the time, and there's a theory that says NBA is corrupt, and I somehow believe in that but there's no proof that it's really corrupt by rigging games.

Actually, sports are so corrupt more than we ever see, that's the reality.

The reality that we cannot prove due to conspiracy inside, and sports is own by private businesses, so they'll always protect their interest which is to make money, and they can only do that if they will make their sport popular and continue to maintain the good reputation.

How about the fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort? I guess Vitor Belfort use his advantage which is being a younger fighter than Holyfield which is already 58 years old. I thought they'll play it soft, but Belfort was really going for a kill and I never saw that Holyfield was able to throw some solid punches.
3583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why government would like to ban Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2021, 11:31:27 AM
The government banned crypto because they can not control the circulation of crypto in the market and are worried that people can use crypto for illegal things. Maybe the government is not ready to see their people get wealthy from the way that they can not know and their people can avoid paying the tax of having crypto. If they can open their minds and integrate their system using blockchain, maybe that can give them a solution to reduce the corruption in their country. Maybe many benefits that the government can take from the blockchain that they do not know yet.
In general, they can't control the market.
I'd some time to think that the government that supports crypto is a planned trick for us. Once we fall in on their trick that is the time to take advantage and imposed taxes as their main goal. Probably, this will be going to happen in El Salvador.

The government will surely find a way to make us pay taxes, if it is not today, that might happen by tomorrow. That is the SEC is urging developers to list their projects as this will be the way to get in. Well, I appreciate their hard work but this might lead to losing our freedom.
3584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you scared? on: September 12, 2021, 10:45:43 AM
Let others being scared, we can't hold them, somehow. I'm not considering this as an unusual event that it is because not all have the courage to take risks and much more not all have the courage to hold themself against negative.

Those who come positive will stay positive but those who come doubtful, they'll certainly live doubtfully. Ain't that scared with the fake news but I was scared if I miss this opportunity while the others did. It is something it works differently and there might more scary facts in the future that could push these people to be more scared.
3585  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on a recovery mode on: September 11, 2021, 10:26:54 AM
It seems the bearish sentiment is starting to wane as buyers fueled a relief rally from the shakeout low around $46,000. Bitcoin is up about 4% over the last 24 hours, but is still down about 8% over the last seven days. The broader uptrend is weakening but the price must stay above $45,000 to maintain the bullish outlook. Despite the short-term bullish signal, the ongoing bounce looks corrective. Therefore, it is unlikely to be a bullish trend reversal.
People had strongly believed that Bitcoin will recover shortly after some correction, we've never see panic selling unlike before and this it helps for the fast recovery. What I think is we are on the way to go to reach $60k again before we end this year. I'm certainly optimistic about this as we know that the majority are in holding.

That probably in the next Bullrun will reach $100k when the market situation remains like this.
3586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to be a long term holder on: September 11, 2021, 09:39:58 AM
Only those who have no other source of income will find it harder to hold coins and tokens for many years, there is no ROI that's better than long term holding, all you have to do is make sure you holding the best coins and tokens, good projects never stay at low value for years they grow better and better in the end only the patience dog eats the fattest bones
The financial matter is a huge factor that could affect us and it was really hard when you are considering crypto as the main source of income. Rich people don't mind how long they've held, they have that advantage and it was easy for them to say JUST HOLD. But for us who are just of limited capital and dependent on crypto, even holding for 1 year is seems impossible.

But anyway, holding is just an option. We have to hold coins if that is worth it and to sell non-potential coins.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 11, 2021, 01:15:53 AM
If Anthony Davis will be healthy all season long, together with Lebron James, those newly acquired big men will mostly warm the bench most of the time or will just use when Lakers are now in the sure win.

I'm not expecting much on this Lakers bench. They are deep though compare to other teams but nothing special to me in terms of performance.
I expect that Howard and Jordan will get 8-10 minutes per game, and it should be enough to reduce the load on Anthony Davis during next season. By the way, Marc Gasol was traded to the Grizzlies immediately after the Lakers signed a contract with DeAndre Jordan.

Gasol is back to his old team, that's good for him, the Grizzlies now have two big men who can help to improve their defense.

The young Grizz showed their grit during the last playoffs, I expect them to be better in the next season as they have a big man with playoffs experience and a champion as well.

hopefully, Gasol will be able to get his numbers back.
3588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2021, 12:47:26 AM

Though rumors are there that those stars who didn't proceed, even a good paycheck has been offered to them are enjoying the perks coming from SMC corp. They are being taking cared accordingly. Wink

That's what Terrence Romeo said that's why he choose to stay despite the offer abroad. Mostly, those who played in Japan are rookies, or players that have not played in the PBA yet, so maybe the PBA will do measures like giving their player a long term contract so they will have no chance to retire PBA and play outside the country.

Only two things would happen IMO, increase their salary or come up with a strict policy if they can't increase the salary.
3589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 10, 2021, 08:56:08 PM
Responsible parents should never gamble when their kids are around Still, this is not enough. Nowadays, most kids have smartphones with access to the Internet so they will be exposed to gambling advertising.
So, apart from keeping your gambling activities secret as much as possible, you should also keep a close eye on your kids and monitor their smartphones to see what kind of websites they visit. Using parental control apps is also a good idea to block gambling websites and ads.

I have to agree with that as it might gain curiosity from them. That much better to keep away from them but it wasn't good to hide from them about what we are doing. May to educate them will give them some insight about gambling but for sure they will still forget it as their interest is not for this stuff. yeah, it was best to keep them out and never to teach them how to gambling as this has no positive effect but gonna be on the negative side.
3590  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE IS STEALING PEOPLES MONEY AND BLOCKING WITHDRAWLS SCAM on: September 10, 2021, 08:22:16 PM
It seems I am wrong as what I have said before. Can't quite remember what it is.

how does that happen? "you won the money while banned", can someone clarify it to me? was the OP allowed to log in and place bet while being banned?
I'm confused.
Is it possible to gamble to a platform where you are banned?. I think it's not possible but what op provided and according to the image is that he won and while being banned. The proof is not even enough with just showing the conversation anf withdrawal request. Maybe op did violate some rules and that's the reason for being banned but how did op manage to win while being banned?.
He has actually violated some rules and that is why he is banned and he get back just to try some luck and wanted to scam. Well, that he has been caught back on his action and put in question while trying to withdraw his funds after winning. Now, he is questioning why he can't withdraw it, obviously not as he was still banned from doing it even before.

The communication has been unclear to us about the rule he violated but probably it was a serious violation that raise like that. And base on the explanation it was because of the dishonesty of this person.
3591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Setting up a gambling business on: September 10, 2021, 03:39:54 PM
It would be better to close this thread here. All arguments for and against opening a gambling business of the user have now been discussed in detail and nothing new is added. The discussion is just going around in circles.
We can conclude that the user should not open a gambling business, because he lacks basic knowledge about this industry.

Exactly, and you jump to the right conclusions because that's the point. The OP will be surprised it seems like he started it but he can't give any further explanation. Let's leave this thread and let the OP come read all the discussion. Because there really is no common ground to resolve the OP wish. We tried to help provide solutions and views, but that didn't produce any output.
.
In that case, he better not pursue that otherwise, OP will just lose his money.
Running any business is wasn't a joke and it simply needs a concrete plan. It will not only just need of money but knowledge is very important in this. If OP never thinks that all the advice we gave to him will help, I don't know if he will be able to execute his plan.

Now, it was in his hand to make a decision about this. If he cares about himself and the money he has, then he should think wisely and let someone help him instead.

3592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments prohibit developers from creating a new coin? on: September 10, 2021, 01:16:37 PM
I don't think that governments will ever prohibit new cryptocurrencies from being developed. I don't see cryptocurrencies as a threat for fiat currencies. They have completely different systems and their goals are also different for people. Rather than these cryptocurrencies, the biggest threat for fiat currencies will be the digital currencies which are developed by governments. Because in the future, they will start replacing fiat currencies one by one.
You may say that it was not a threat for fiat but unfortunately, and from the government's insights this is a big threat for them. The biggest concern is to have control over crypto which was impossible and creating their own digital currency is their way to combat the spread of crypto.

The government couldn't prohibit the creation of crypto but it was the SEC to find a way on how to stop their project. Many issues had rise concerning these and many crypto projects have been also dissolved with their actions.
3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that NFT is the best investment in the future? on: September 10, 2021, 12:44:37 PM
NFT is a very promising investment in the future, if you see the interest of artists and popular figures starting to think about investment patterns here, it is very likely that NFT in the future is a promising investment, plus athletes are starting to target investment here .
It takes special preparation to be part of NFT's investment, considering the positive potential that will happen is something we are waiting for, with NFT's outreach services for fans of Artists, Athletes and Big Figures, it is very possible for NFT to be part of the investments. NFT.

What do you think???
What do I think? No other best investment ever in crypto other than Bitcoin. You'll think that NFT's will surely have a better future? Things can be changed uncertainly. NFT hasn't proven great yet, it was still new in the market, and per to see that many of these projects have been quiet. This simply means that might one day this project will be gone in the market.

It never confidence me the potentiality of the project, sometimes it was tested once the crisis has to start. We are still in the bullish season that is why we see some of these projects are in the rally. But not sure if how it works when we are in the bearish.
3594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 10, 2021, 12:04:01 PM
It's not the safest if you don't want to get linked, at least that's the way to mask your real transaction a bit so no questions will be thrown to you. Yes, the fees now are very cheap, you can make transactions more if you want. For gamblers who really want to ensure their privacy or hide the origin of transactions, then it's wise to use a bitcoin mixer, I'm sure the regulators will have a hard time tracing your transactions if you ever get investigated.

Well, most gamblers these days who're concerned about privacy will just use anon-casinos or just spread their betting on a lot of places.

Mixers are always good for privacy, but also depending on the size and tech of the mixer. Currently I think only chipmixer is the one that has the best privacy but personally never tried it as well.

For me though if you gamble and owe taxes, better to pay up.

Chipmixer is very popular, they have been mixing huge money so there's no problem that you will not be paid, and actually, there are a lot of mixers that have already closed their business but chipmixer is still here, so we can assume that they are not violating any law, I guess.
3595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice multiplayer theory on: September 10, 2021, 11:20:27 AM
You can read the rules on the certain gambling site you are playing.

Normally the computation is very simple, your bet amount x multiplier, then less your bet amount if you win = profit.
That's very basic, as a gambler, you have to understand the basic before you proceed, and it's not hard to understand how dice sites works as their rules are very simple.

maybe you should look at the strategy as well, and the provably fairness to ensure the site is not cheating you.
3596  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 10, 2021, 10:51:09 AM

Corruption in the sports sector is linked to the political system where the entire government, from election to governance, is corrupt. This has affected the sports activities in most countries and even the premier league.

FIFA and other sport governing bodies are not left out in the corruption.
I think now that corruption has entered all sectors of government including sports, and of course this is what actually destroys the a country sporting achievements, and I think the impact of corruption has finally made the athletes who have been victims all this time.

Corruption is actually everywhere, but it started with the government, if the government is corrupt, then most probably the government are not good in implementing the law and that sectors and community will be corrupt as well, it will run in the system and everyone will be corrupt, and those people who are at the bottom will suffer from the greediness of the corrupt people.
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 10, 2021, 07:03:19 AM
Another loss by Magnolia.

Wow, they had a great start but they are struggling when they come back.
ROS is really unpredictable, sometimes they lose big time and now they beat a good team.
This team should not be underestimated as they could upset any team at the top.

Mocon was their top scorer with 19 points, I hope he will be more aggressive as his buddy Nambatac seems to be struggling until now.
3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 10, 2021, 06:40:03 AM
Big news finally.

Lakers Sign DeAndre Jordan

Quote
The Los Angeles Lakers have signed center DeAndre Jordan, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

A 13-year NBA veteran, Jordan appeared in 57 games (43 starts) for the Nets last season, where he averaged 7.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 blocks in 21.9 minutes, while shooting a career-best 76.3 percent (190-249) from the field. Jordan is the NBA’s all-time leader in career field goal percentage, having shot 67.4 percent (3527-5234) from the field throughout his career and is the only player in NBA history with multiple seasons shooting over 70 percent from the field.

I hope Jordan will be healthy next year so he would be able to help the LA Lakers.
He was great back then with the LA Clippers, but time has passed, looks like he is not anymore in his prime and has been struggling.
Hopefully playing in a championship team, that will make his confidence high.
3599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do Not Sell! Don't Let The Whales Get Your Precious BTC! on: September 09, 2021, 11:41:02 PM
Now, it is definitely not time to sell in my opinion. It is time to accumulate for me after seeing the huge dump recently (from 52k to 42k in half an hour). Maybe some people are still waiting due to the probability that the price might go down from this level more but I will be buying at this price also. And if it drops down even more than this, I will buy some more Bitcoin in that case also. Because I'm more of a long term investor.
That is actually your choice as that is your money. Just like if you buy this Bitcoin at $30k and seeing its price at $42k, it wasn't a thing to worried about but mostly likey we are still strong to keep it for a while. But if you had bought it at $40k, that might be started to get crazy thinking if I sell this or not.

Whether you agree on this or not but sometimes we put ourselves in a trap, sometimes we think this gonna be the right decision but later on, we'd realize that was wrong. Missing some opportunities because of our trust and confidence.
3600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: September 09, 2021, 11:07:17 PM
how many people lose interest when Elon Musk stops tweeting? it may have an influence on crypto because Elon Musk is a person of great influence in various fields. is the crypto hype over? I do not think so. because when something ends there will definitely be something that will start soon. stay relaxed and believe crypto will continue to improve in the future.  Wink
We can't deny that Elon Musk is influencing the market and encourage his followers to invest in Bitcoin. It gives huge hype in the market and we can't deny also that many people are benefiting during that time until the point has come that Elon Musk is trying to manipulate the market. As we know about his intention, we just ignore his tweets and have no interest in him anymore but for sure, they can still make anything he wants in the market as he has the money.
