3581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: June 03, 2021, 11:42:44 AM
it is not about medicine mate , but about Mental help .. doctors expertise is mind control and not physical health.
There are medicine that helps you though. Not necessarily helpful in the long run imo, but it does help you control your mental health in the short term, at the very least, enough to help you from being affected too much by the stuff you're worried about. Heck, even doctors that specialize in psychological health would still probably recommend some medicine in certain situations.

If the intention on stealing is to have money for gambling then is really disturbing if this kind of person came to the point doing this well we can say that he is on high level of addiction since she can afford to do bad thinga just to fulfill theirselves on their addiction. They really need to get professional help since if this type of person doesn't get cured expect that they will do worse things just to get money for their vices.
Well at the point that someone actually lost all of their money due to gambling, it already sends the wrong signals, both for others and for the person in talk themselves. They need professional help, yes, but first is that they really need to face the situation face first since they wouldn't actually ask for help if they don't do so.
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge and coindbase on: June 03, 2021, 07:02:58 AM
I honestly would stay away from Doge tbh. it's just a coin with a foundation built from literally a man's tweet. Even if we do consider the community trying to actively support it, it's actually, on the other hand, the community wanting to devour each other to profit. You could profit for a bit I suppose when coinbase lists it on their exchange, but that's it. I hardly doubt it'd even have that much of a long-term effect.  Being listed on coinbase isn't such a monumental achievement that Doge would suddenly have that tag of being a priceless coin because of it after all.

In the end, it's still up to you ngl. The end story is that Doge may go up with the coinbase news, but it'll go down immediately if it actually went up. It wouldn't go down though, so you can try it out and just set up a stop loss so you can avoid losses.
3583  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price since 2021.05.31 in about 7 months on: June 03, 2021, 05:33:49 AM
So price till end of the year? Or am I reading something wrong? I'd reckon there wouldn't be much news to garner, maybe a bit of a rise up after maybe 3, 4 months then it just moves straight. Wouldn't go below 30k though, unless some big drastic news comes out that negatively influence not just those beginner investors, but also those long-time investors that would make them believe Bitcoin lost its value. Drops right now would probably only happen due to FUD, since I highly doubt correction would still hit the market harder than it currently has right now.
3584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you like or hate Royal symbols on bitcoin slots? on: June 02, 2021, 12:59:57 PM
Not really one to nitpick on it tbh. I don't actually mind seeing royal symbols, heck I'm more used to them since it's been used by almost all kinds of slots since, well, forever. Can't really say that it's a lazy solution but rather the market has just adjusted to seeing it so much, that it's almost quite natural to see it. To the point that any complaints about it are almost non-existent since it's already a "natural". Though I would appreciate something new, it isn't really a necessary change.
3585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on climbing challenges on: June 02, 2021, 10:31:23 AM
Definitely an interesting sport, but I'm more used to watching them climb those man-made ones, the ones with handles clogged together to let the climber go up. Idk what it's called but it was something like that. Me watching them climb a real mountain kinda scares the f out of me, and hardly doubt it would actually be officialized since there's a LOT of unknown factors in the wild that could influence not only the competition, but also their lives.

But for betting? Maybe not. It's close to purely physical ability after all. Mental capacity comes in, but tactics and whatnot aren't really involved, it's more related to their capability to stay calm and continue climbing.
3586  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high u rekon it'll go if Elon tweets right now that Tesla is accepting btc? on: June 02, 2021, 07:24:34 AM
I don't think it's gonna happen again. It was already used once, hardly doubt the market would accept it again as a reason. It may rise, but only by a bit, I suppose. But honestly, the BTC market could live on its own without the influence of Elon. And there's honestly little chance of it happening, otherwise, he'd most likely be considered as pretty inefficient in making decisions or whatnot, that is unless he makes another excuse just like how he used BTC mining costs as a reason to pull BTC out.
3587  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Money Need Competition To Flourish on: June 02, 2021, 05:17:25 AM
Hmm I guess the better term here would be economy? or economic power? Money IS merely a medium imo, whether we are using multiple types of currency for different countries or one global currency, it's still a medium nonetheless. Countries compete with each other over how their products are developed, how it is used by consumers and whatnot, which makes them develop more and grow more, to outgrow their competitors. Pretty much development begets development, it's simply a never-ending cycle.
3588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao license scam on: June 02, 2021, 04:00:13 AM
If the perpetrators move to a different country, then I don't expect a small island nation such as Curaçao to have the diplomatic influence to force the extradition. And in all probability, the Curaçao authorities don't care. The victims belong to various foreign nations, and as long as the locals are not conned, the authorities will remain cold to the investigation. The only precaution we can take is to limit our participation to gambling sites that have a good reputation. Don't get fooled by generous promotional offers from shady sites.
Did a bit of research and it seems like any dispute about the user and the casino is outside the jurisdiction of Curacao. It's not that it's ignored, but rather it's just straight up outside of their decision making, they just give you a license and talk about the money, but that's it.

Quote
However, if you face an issue with a casino that is a Curacao licensee, you cannot expect the gambling regulator to take a stance on the matter. You will have to resolve the situation on your own and get in touch with the casino management. If your attempts turn fruitless, you can submit the case to the Curacao Licensing Board. You also have to present the communication you had with casino’s officials and explain the reason why you think you have been unfairly treated.
You even have to go straight up to the higher-ups just to talk about it, kind of a pain in the ass so might as well just go for other casinos tbh. Plus, I don't think local authorities would even care, even if their citizens are scammed. The license only operates on countries that allows gambling and most scams are pretty much the own of ones self. Ofc, if it were to grow into a big case, then that's a different issue.
3589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling risks during coronavirus pandemic on: June 02, 2021, 02:00:46 AM
The effect of pandemic will possibly experience for so many years especially in 3rd world countries but if the rich countries will do a humanitarian help to poor countries and help them recover for the mess brought by pandemic for sure the years of effect will be lessen. But we shouldn't make this a reason to gamble and risk to gain a profit since if we keep looking after this and aim to get a profit to feed your family then provably we will be on shitty situation once we loss everything we have.
We shouldn't make anything other than entertainment be the reason for us to gamble. Using anything other than entertainment would inevitably lead you to a big loss, since you certainly wouldn't think twice in trying to earn money by investing more, instead of thinking it's for fun where the money entering in your sessions is controlled. Especially for those with poor living conditions, heck, even middle-level families shouldn't even think of trying to enter gambling as a way to earn money. It is, in the end, just a way for us to have fun, nothing more, nothing else.
3590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans mining is good for Bitcoin on: June 01, 2021, 08:56:46 AM
Best news here is that we can finally make Bitcoin news stay away from China, I can finally stop seeing China and Bitcoin both in the same sentence for now. Hopefully, it's gonna last though. I do hope that it doesn't hit the mining industry that bad (hardly doubt it, but hey who knows), and that China doesn't suddenly make a huge 360 about them banning Bitcoin.

A drop is quite natural, heck we experience drops every day even without any china news, and it still goes back up in a matter of hours or days. It's quite natural. Just seeing that it didn't drop by that much goes to show how much of a minimal influence the news actually had.
3591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the FUD starting to wear off? on: June 01, 2021, 07:04:51 AM
Hey, that's how they want things to go. Not like they'd give a damn on how you see their FUD, if it makes the market move, then they'd do it. That's p much it. Yes, the initial FUD is over, and together with the correction was the one that brought BTC back to below $35k or so, and that'd be pretty much it. Any FUD news now would just have some kind of low influence in the market since it is trying to stabilize itself at it's the current level. Highly doubt people would also panic sell again after it calmed down already.
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever become a widely adopted global payment solution? on: June 01, 2021, 05:07:12 AM
Well, I personally hope it would. There's still a lot of stuff that kind of prevents it from developing that way, but there are also developments being made to make it a lot easier to adopt if it does ever start to happen. The current progress seems to be more like the development progress of Bitcoin as well as letting its name out in the world, and its adoption as a payment solution would only happen after maybe a few more decades. Just its high volatility is enough to keep most merchants away from it after all, and it'd only die down once the hype is out and the released supply has pretty much maxed out.
3593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gaming Scams during Pandemic. How to Stay Safe. on: June 01, 2021, 01:21:37 AM
Just don't open any suspicious links tbh. It's rather easy to see if one is actually suspicious, especially if it came from your email. How to determine? Well if you never visited the site then that should be suspicious point #1 (if it came from your email). Point #2 is the name. If you were sure on visiting a site, and just found it on an article somewhere, check the link. It may be possible it's a fake site, so looking for multiple sources of the link should prove to be quite helpful.

Though tbh the easiest solution here is just to block everything, except for the gambling site's main email. Should be easy to filter.
3594  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: May 31, 2021, 06:30:14 PM
Signature campaigns, online researchers that ask me to answer their questionnaires, as well as freelancing. Those 3 take up the bulk of my external revenue. Don't exactly have a job sadly but those 3 are pretty much enough for me for now. I want to try streaming online but it takes way too much time to actually produce results, so I'm trying to see whether if my uploads could actually boost me enough even though it may take a longer time. I'm also DCA'ing every month into BTC, nothing that hurts my wallet too much but am still hoping it does get bigger in the long run.
3595  Other / Archival / Re: Is a demo account necessary for a beginner trader? on: May 31, 2021, 06:06:35 PM
Well in the realms of actually considering learning about trading, then yes, it doesn't help much. It does, however, let you learn how the trading site works, as well as some simple ideas on what you can actually see on charts. Certainly doesn't help you in actually learning when BTC goes up or when it goes down, but it does help you from suddenly making a mistake by not knowing what a certain thing does.
No. For example, if you test your new strategy under demo conditions, how the knowledge and data obtained can be false?

What data can be obtained from the demo order book or from the demo chart? Right? False. Go to any demo account and see how the order book behaves and how the chart behaves. On the demo chart, have you ever seen the fake straits? By definition, they cannot be there. Because such things are organized by the exchanges themselves when they trade against their client. And on the demo exchange, everything is reproduced in neutral conditions, without any manipulations from bots or market makers. You will not see this on the demo exchange, but in the real market, at the first encounter with such manipulation, your knowledge gained in the demo mode will not help you.

Do not forget that the demo exchange and the real exchange are 2 different exchanges.
To make an analogy on what Ratimov said, it's like comparing high school to college, or college to the workforce. In my case, it was the latter, when I entered college I basically threw away everything I got from high school and started from scratch simply because there was a stark difference between how HS hit me and how college hit me. And just like other cases, transitioning from college to the workforce isn't exactly an easy experience, heck some people can go straight to the workforce (which is imo, much ideal especially now with how you can learn everything by yourself).
3596  Economy / Speculation / Re: why the price of Bitcoin dumping? on: May 31, 2021, 02:09:10 PM
Not all price decrease equates to dumping. The current price drop right now stemmed from price correction instead of dumping imo. Yes, there were some that sold their coins, but it isn't the biggest factor that contributed to it. The past price of around $50k or so was the result of hype, one that lasted for quite a few months and has a pretty high chance of going down to lover levels to regulate itself, and that's what correction is. There was a chance for it to stay and regulate itself there, but it's a very low one.

Together with other factors such as the Elon news, China news, and other FUD news, those are primarily the main reasons why BTC prices dropped.
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Welcome bonuses on: May 31, 2021, 10:26:38 AM
I'd rather not. It's way too big, many, large, pick your synonym since my knowledge is quite small heh. Anyhow, if I were to look for something specific, then I just find it specifically, I don't skim nor read the t&c if I'm not actually looking for something. I expect the casino to have the capability to include whatever warnings and advice that their system uses in their specific parts, like as you said, welcome bonus rules. Place it there, where it's blatantly obvious.

Now if they don't, and I get caught, well I'd just leave straight up. Simply means that the casino isn't really quite welcoming imo. they're fair maybe, but they failed to accommodate to me as a customer imo.
3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on Medieval MMA? on: May 31, 2021, 06:14:02 AM
But I was talking about battles with real damage and even death. Such battles will not be allowed anywhere, and even if there is a wild country that legalizes it, the rest of the countries will force it to refuse it. This problem will remain unresolved until technological progress gives us new opportunities that I wrote about above.
Well, yea, the limits that were set do inhibit the capability of such games to showcase their full potential, but hey, nothing we can do about that. It is a dangerous sport so to speak, so rules like that to ensure safety of all players are naturally guaranteed. If it was possible to somehow create a space where everyone is of equal mass weight strength etc, while being able to ignore the possibility of death, now these kinds of sports would surely rise to fame. I guess it's just waiting for its time to rise as a popular sport.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making a living out of gambling. on: May 30, 2021, 02:11:48 PM
You can make a living from gambling, but there is no financial assurance that you will not loose all your money first.
Yea I think this should sum it up ngl. I mean no offense to those that want to, but realistically speaking, using gambling as a method to actually make a living means you need to have an immense amount of LUCK, something that can't really be manipulated unlike skills in let's say, sports, eSports, studies, etc.
There is no assurance either that if you make a career out of it, you will make it big, because gambling be it Sports gambling, blackjack, video poker etc requires a degree of expertise, chance, pattern recognition and luck (something some do not believe in).
Most careers don't tbh. Though if we do compare it to other careers, their basis of actually succeeding is different. As I said earlier, gambling relies on luck, and other careers (most of them) rely on both skill and luck (though luck is mostly about creating connections and not really related to how you are able to present yourself in your career)
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao license scam on: May 30, 2021, 10:44:29 AM
Gambling license is one way to check if the site is legit is not. But there are other ways to check if the site is dubious or not. Check the reviews like from trustpilot and other review sites. If you are not satisfied, you can test it on your own, and use small funds. You will know if the site will scam you once you actually experience it. But having Curacao license is not the only way to check the legitimacy of the casino. Everyone can basically claim they have one.
I reckon this idea.

It's the first step that the casino is serious with their business but it's true that it doesn't mean they own it, they won't play unfairly.

Those steps that has been mentioned can be done to check the legitimacy of a casino if you don't trust such a license even if it's coming from Curacao.
Well, a license can easily be bought, so I don't think it means that the owner is serious with his business automatically when he buys a license. More like he's prepared to either scam the hell out of his customers or start-up his casino business. Also, I don't think just anyone can claim they have a Curacao license, casino sites have the logo of Curacao that automatically directs you to the license that has the details for the license of that casino, which pretty much proves the site owns that license.
