3581  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin is still dropping ? on: March 28, 2018, 01:52:34 PM
bitcoin price is still dropping and now its $8000 within 3 months market is soo awful. What is the real reason for that

just because price is dropping, it doesn't automatically make the "market" awful, it just makes it awful for those people who have bought bitcoin and were expecting to see an always-rising-price market so now they are disappointed in it.

and the reason is a lot of things, some of which others have already mentioned. but the important thing to remember is that we are in a bear market now so adjust accordingly.
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin removing all BCH Pairs on: March 26, 2018, 05:10:03 PM
you are putting too much undeserved faith in actions of some exchange! they have never done anything for any reason other than their own benefits. if they add a coin to their platform they are adding it because they find it profitable, if they remove a coin (a pair or market in this case) then they are doing it because it stopped being profitable for them.
none of it means that coin is good or bad and it is not indicating its doom or moon. in this case bitcoin cash is still the same shitcoin that stole bitcoin's name and is still misleading newbies into believing it is the real bitcoin! and at the end of the day it still has empty blocks because nobody is using it!
3583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bears still dominate the market, downtrend remains intact on: March 26, 2018, 04:17:29 PM
yeah there is no longer a hope for a bull market this soon but at the same time i think there is a war between bulls and bears and bulls haven't gone anywhere yet. they are still around and fighting but the dump is stronger than they can handle specially since there is a lot of FUD still around.

We can not do something about it, And it is a matter of waiting and in my opinion an average investor and holder can only do is just wait or sell other Altcoins that he has to give way to bitcoin because other altcoins will be nothing compare to what we can get with bitcoin when the value increase, In fact if you can not sell all of your Altcoins with bitcoin then just sell half of it.

yeah, at times like this it is best to start accumulating bitcoin. and generally i do not own any altcoins to want to sell them! and even if i had, when bitcoin drops there is not a chance for any altcoin to have any rise. and right now since price is moving sideways instead of being stable, no one dares to invest in altcoins so again they are not good investments at the moment.

3585  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [NBitcoin] GetNewAddress for a specific wallet ? on: March 26, 2018, 01:44:40 PM
NBitcoin is just a library that you can use to build some application around it. so depending on what you build it can be the same as Electrum or like anything else with any features that you like.

but Electrum is already a complete project (a wallet) with all the features already made by the developers and they have added the password thing so when you choose it you are asked for it.

as for being linked to a wallet, again if you are using NBitcoin, you need to write some code for your storage to store they keys that are generated. you can use a simple random generation of keys and store each of them each time a new one is generated or do what Electrum already does and use a Hierarchical Deterministic way of creating keys in which case you just store the master key or seed and each time you generate a new key it gets it from that master key.
be careful what you do though. security is a very important matter and not easy when you are trying to make your own thing!

there is also a chat room for it here: https://gitter.im/MetacoSA/NBitcoin
3586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think after seeing this chart? on: March 26, 2018, 01:36:40 PM
every year, near summer we usually start seeing a surge of investors in the market. some people even say kids are out of schools so they are investing their money in cryptocurrencies Cheesy

but that doesn't mean the same thing will happen every year. i mean there are a lot of other certain things going on in the market that decide that. for example last year we had a lot of good news in this same period of time starting with Japan's mass adoption and then SegWit's growth and then SegWit's activation,....
3587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rootstock (RSK) - Smart Contracts for Bitcoin on: March 26, 2018, 01:20:00 PM
Ethereum have increased a lot in value due to their smart contracts. Thousands of token creators have flooded the ethereum platform and causing the value of Ethereum to go sky high. If we are going to apply the same system to bitcoin the possibly bitcoin could increase in value again since many investors will be clinging to bitcoin in order to launch their token.

maybe, maybe not.
the reason why the ethereum bubble happened was because ICOs were somewhat new and they were starting to become popular by that time. something like the premined altcoins. so they were giving good returns and the scam ones weren't yet started their scamming so there was a lot of investors pouring their money in ETH to get these ICOs.

now it is a different story, people are more scared of ICOs and we are starting to see them treat ICOs like premine altcoins. so i don't think there will be the same "pump" happening to bitcoin but it will definitely add a new and interesting feature and smart contracts can attract a lot of people to bitcoin and that can increase bitcoin's price.
3588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: March 26, 2018, 01:10:40 PM
well March is nearly over and i don't see any change in the direction of the market so far so no i don't think anything from last year would be repeated now and we will probably continue seeing the same sideways for a couple of more weeks.

and right now the buy support strength is going to be tested again and i believe if the $8k one holds we can see a nice jump up (even a small one) after it.
3589  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that bitcoin immune from hacking & fraud ?? on: March 25, 2018, 06:41:19 PM
Consider the value of bitcoin,it has made exchanges prime targets for hacking, and thus has made hacks there quite lucrative..
I mean the anonymity and irrevocability associated with bitcoin transactions means that the money lost is also irrecoverable, CMIIW..

the question you put in the subject has nothing to do with what you are saying here! when an exchange is getting hacked it just means the exchange security was not good enough. it is the same as you walking in the street and getting mugged, that doesn't mean the whole world is an unsafe place, it just means you walked into an unsafe neighborhood and were careless.

as for bitcoin itself, nothing is 100% immune ever. but it is enough to know that for 9 years thousands of hackers from around the world have been trying to hack bitcoin and probably even more people have been working on the same cryptography that bitcoin uses and also more have been working on bitcoin itself.
3590  Economy / Economics / Re: Had enough of wrong investments on ALTS? on: March 25, 2018, 06:23:50 PM
well i have tried ICOs, and i failed, i saw others fail at them too. eventually looking at the bigger picture i figured they are not really worth it. how much profit are they going to give you anyways? 10%? 50%? 100%? all these percentage profits are easily possible when you trade altcoins which is highly risky but still a lot less riskier than investing in an ICO!
not to mention that all this "research" that everyone is doing is time consuming work for a result that you can't even rely on 100%
3591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go down! on: March 25, 2018, 06:18:17 PM
haha, i knew it is going to soon become the "new thing" that people use to talk about bitcoin price and how it is going to drop because some coins moved!
the blank amount of bitcoin moves is the new China banned bitcoin now Cheesy

and the funny part is, just like China banned bitcoin, this moving of large amounts happens too often. i dare say every day some large amount of bitcoin is being moved.
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to ask about the generation for the Bitcoin world :) on: March 25, 2018, 12:02:29 PM
as long as this introduction you are talking about here is only introducing bitcoin as a new technology and a currency to others (no matter who they are) you are doing the right thing but most people who are going to agree with your questions here and say they will introduce bitcoin to others are going to do it as an investment. in fact they will tell others that "if they invest in bitcoin they will make a lot of money" and this is the worst thing that anybody can do because this will only bring in speculators most of which are weak hands.
3593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From Bull- to Bearmarket. How? Prognosis(2-6month) on: March 25, 2018, 11:50:46 AM
i don't think we will see a bull run this soon but also i don't think there will be any more big drops either. there simply is no more reason for it.

dont you think that the changes in technology LN,RSK,SW could be a reason for a bullrun?

it is, but the sell pressure is not yet lifted and with all the FUD that is still ongoing it becomes even harder to see a rise for now. i also believe that we also need some accumulation phase before the bull run starts and so far we only had sideways.
3594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From Bull- to Bearmarket. How? Prognosis(2-6month) on: March 25, 2018, 11:36:17 AM
the problem with weak hands has always been one of the persisting matters in bitcoin market, that is why so much FUD exists but also i blame exchanges. the orderbooks there is not yet big enough to be able to absorb this kind of manipulation and panic sell. and that is because they are not trusted!

i don't think we will see a bull run this soon but also i don't think there will be any more big drops either. there simply is no more reason for it.
3595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are now sending mass mailer to create negativity about cryptocurrency on: March 25, 2018, 11:28:04 AM
this is India we are talking about and their government has been doing some shady financial stuff for the past couple of years and they are putting their people under a lot of financial pressure. of course they see bitcoin as a threat and will spread fear about it. they don't want people to have that option to escape the government tyranny.
3596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you know what's short? A genius trade! on: March 24, 2018, 03:37:59 PM
but what you explained is not called "short" or "short selling"!
to short means to sell something you do not own, you are basically borrowing that asset and you only make profit if the price of that asset drops. you can read more about it here: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/shortselling.asp

what you explained is simply traditional trading. you sell the asset that is about to fall (before the drop starts) to have your money ready then wait for it to reach the bottom and buy back either you buy the same amount back and keep the difference as profit or buy more of that asset an have more so you profit more from the upcoming rise.

short will work and give you profit as long as the price is falling but the second thing you explained only works if the thing you buy actually recovers and that is not going to happen for most altcoins.

and it is not genius, it is actually a very risky way of investment.
3597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long will the bull run last ? 21 March 2018 on: March 24, 2018, 03:21:29 PM
there was never a bull run for months to want to end now!
the bull run stopped with bitcoin price at ~$20k if i want to be strict about it but you can say everyone knew it was over when price went below $10k and stayed there for a while.
and of course altcoins bull runs which was more of a pump ended with that also and their dumps were initiated.

and ever since then we have been in a bear market and mostly sideways instead.
3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what if the top 6 coins is worth a trillion each by 2020? on: March 24, 2018, 03:10:01 PM
even bitcoin is not going to be worth $1 trillion ever let alone all the rest of the 5 useless altoins that are there. the biggest speculation for price of bitcoin is at $1 million and i haven't seen anything bigger so far. and that will require mass adoption.

also you are forgetting that the other 5 of the top 6 altcoins have a lot of issues for example ETH has unlimited supply, that means it will only go down in price over time. same for XRP and also it is a centralized coin that nobody ever wants. LTC is a copy coin that has nothing original. BCH is a useless fork of bitcoin like the rest of the 30-40 forks.
3599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updating W7 Bitcoin Client on: March 24, 2018, 02:57:17 PM
you need to be more specific about which client, there ins't just one bitcoin client out there, there are quite a number of them available. but just installing the new installer should be enough for most of them but sometimes they upgrade something about their wallet file (for example from Electrum 1.x to 2.x wallet changed) and upgrading may pose some issues so you need to be more careful and make sure to read the change log.
3600  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is adding funds to the MtGox address? on: March 24, 2018, 02:42:46 PM
None of these transactions going to the MtGox address are advertising anything that I can see... so we must rule that option out too.

you don't see it because these messages were not actually stored on the bitcoin blockchain but inside blockchain.info's database and since their database grew too big recently they removed this feature and all the messages with it.

an script that was written before to spam the famous addresses using blockchain.info api doesn't know this yet.
