3581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 31, 2022, 04:59:08 AM
Think I saw a Sportsbet special yesterday for the first time in ages (tennis). Not their fault of course, I haven't really been online much, but good to see it's still going strong. No specials winners sharing here anymore?

Oh and yes, I bet against Chelsea last two games (no Kante, and opposing team playing well actually, and high payouts, why not?). So I'm happy.

Oh and ralle14: You're playing in the UCL pool of course aren't you? Do I need to beg? Wink
Now that you mentioned the pool, I'm thinking of joining but still not 100% sure atm.

6 days to decide. I won't blame you for not joining, so don't feel bad. 60+ EPL pool players and barely a third in UCL. I would have thought it should have been the other way around, but always new things to learn I guess!

Man, I knew it was coming but come on, who's better than Parker now to take over? 9-0 is always an abnormality, Liverpool only had 14 shots on target, in the same week we had Bayern register 19 and only score 1, I've definitely seen enough Liverpool games with over 15 shots on target and no goal.

It's not just unfair, it's criminal. Arsenal league leaders. City defending champions. Liverpool went all the way in every competition. You ARE supposed to lose to them.

Anyway I'm being dumb, feel like there are going to be draws tonight but I've gone for wins/losses in all of them here and in betting. See if I change my mind.
3585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CME launches Bitcoin Euro Denominated futures on: August 30, 2022, 02:34:38 PM
All it does is allow gamblers (sorry, speculators? Traders?) from EU to play around on CME. Like they had a lack of options, or stablecoin futures, ha.

CME still carries a bit of weight in the market, I suppose. News doesn't always have to be important, though, and news doesn't always have to impact the market, or have the ability to.

Anyway.
3586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: August 30, 2022, 12:36:12 PM
I think that in the future it is deemed necessary for every country to be able to adopt a digital currency such as bitcoin, because I consider that this digital currency (Bitcoin) is an alternative payment instrument that is very easy to use for some entrepreneurs in paying salaries, and also easy to use. transact projects in different countries,
Although the Government still views Bitcoin as an anti-legal currency and an illegal currency, in fact, citizens still use Bitcoin.
I don't know where you got information about Indonesia People using Bitcoin. Because in every corner of this country nothing is more valuable than Rupiah, if a law enforcer found you using another currency except the rupiah, jail is waiting for you.

That's the problem right here. People on this forum every day coming to do so many daily posts, purportedly supporting Bitcoin and using it, and then they're saying no one uses Bitcoin in their country... what do you do with all of your campaign earnings? Not use them? Even depositing them somewhere and selling them for rupial is using it, albeit at the most basic level.

I've yet to find someone put in jail for using Bitcoin -- what's illegal is to offer trading services, but no way they're going after P2P.

Oh, and I was in Indonesia just this month, and this is right smack in the public eye:

Has been for a long time, don't see those owners in jail...
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 5/07/22 on: August 30, 2022, 10:55:26 AM
Villareal and West Ham @emrecemsan? Don't fall for West Ham at 8/10, definitely Villareal at 7/1.

If doing any outright, I'd pick a team with at least 10/1 odds (which you can boost daily on a platform like Sportsbet for 11/1 or more), in fact I'd pick a handful of them. One hits and it's big end-of-season profit.

Don't think any of these favourites except Villareal but Koln (19/1) or Basel (26/1) why not?
3588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: August 30, 2022, 09:40:34 AM
Don't forget to make your picks for midweek round.
What midweek round, there is no midweek round and absolutely no need to check Superbru before Friday. Using Jedi mind trick here in hope to dominate feeble minded and catching up with all the bastards in front of me  Grin

Joking aside, I am doing way better in pools that are not run by me. A bit embarrassing but it is what it is.

Yeah, what midweek round? Check Superbru on Saturday, don't waste your time because Friday games you won't win anyway and you do have default pick which will probably earn you more points than if you picked.

Bastards all hot and heavy this 1/8 of the season, I'm catching up on the leagues and reading when I can, I'm doing better than I should here and in La Liga, but paid a heavy price in EPL so far.

We'll see, am sure you bastards will trip and stumble Wink
3589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: August 30, 2022, 08:39:27 AM
Bitcoin adoption has been a very important thing that people want, and the level of adoption from various locations around the world is encouraging, even though many countries have yet to fully legalize its citizens. Bitcoin is not legal tender in my country, but many young people are adopting it and using it as a source of income through trading, and many have taken it to the next level by using Bitcoin to pay for goods and services. I am confident that the rate of Bitcoin adoption will continue to rise as technology advances.

Not sure what you're on about.

You don't need to want Bitcoin adoption to use it.
You don't need to be "legalised"  by your country to use Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not legal tender in almost every single country in the world (only El Salvador, CAR and virtually yes in Japan come to mind) but you also don't need it to start using it and accepting it, as you mentioned.

I don't think it's so much tech advancing that'll increase the rate of adoption, but the ease and simplicity of using it.

I've accepted all applicants so the Superbru league is filling up nicely. And I've also started following up with participants who haven't paid yet and trying to get hard confirmations from the "maybes" -- there are also 3 others who've PM'd interest, all new faces, so I'm hoping we get at least a couple more from there!

3591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: August 29, 2022, 05:06:35 PM
Interesting game for me would be Rotherham on Wednesday -- win this and they'll sit at the summit with the best GD and still be the only unbeaten team in Championship other than PNE. Who'd have thought, huh?

Huddersfield and Swansea I didn't expect to be propping the league up this early, but of course things change quickly with only 4 points separating playoff and relegation.

Time for a fancy acca tomorrow methinks...
3592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 29, 2022, 03:39:12 PM
My man Sadio finally didn't score, saw one German press call him Sadioffside Made --  though really, he's also a lot of offside in Liverpool, why that nick eh? But 30+ shots and 20 on target? Bayern really have a bogey team, don't they?!

Yesterday, seeing that Bayern suddenly found themselves in the position of catching up, I made a "reliable" bet on their victory with the odds of 1.63. And as luck would have it, goalkeeper Borussia Mönchengladbach set a Bundesliga record with 19 saves, surpassing his predecessor by 5 saves at once. What a day! I hope today at least Real will not surprise with anything and calmly win their game.

Keep an eye out for such reliable bets for City -- they were 3/1 at half time down to Palace. City are a second half team, have always been that, even against the best (Liverpool included). Pep's a bit of a tinkerer and tries to do different things in the first half, and he's already fallen to Newcastle and Palace by 2 goals at HT.

Bayern for some reason seldom get that kind of service, even when down 2+ goals you'll get 2/1 at best. Not sure how things shape up this season after losing Lewie, but doesn't seem they have much of a problem huh.

Funtoken's buy-sell difference is 2sat now just like when the price was twice & thrice as it is now, I think it's unfair in these low prices.

Signal to buy moar during the dip Wink

As much as it pains me to say this as a BTC holder, I think anything you can reasonably purchase now for Bitcoin, you should. I actually had a major liquidation event almost 2 years ago but recently expenses have been creeping up, and I've decided BTC can still probably get even bigger and better buy signals in the coming months/years, so I've just bitten down and sold.

I'd probably think now's the time to also buy FUN if it's at a low enough price, if you expect it to hold as well or better than BTC.

Altcoins seldom are a good exchange for BTC in a bear market though.

@LTU_BTC

Damn man, how the hell did you get 5 exact scores? This already feels like highest points yellow cap reward secured for you if we don't get some crazy double game weeks with shitload of games.

Now that I wrote this I realized I haven't posted final rewards yet. I usually leave it a few weeks into the new season to see if we have some late joiners. I'll officially close the pool with first day of September and then post those exact rewards. Same goes for La Liga pool as well.

Thanks man, yeah, I know it's way too early in the season for EPL to throw in the towel but I feel like first few absent weeks is going to really hard to come back from, but surprisingly I'm not doing too shitty in here, preseason expectations more or less hit I guess.

5 exact scores is a monster man, this LTU guy is tearing up every league so far.

Best I ever did was 6 exact scores, and if you can believe it, that was the very first Superbru week I ever played, 5 seasons ago in EPL when hilarious first opened Superbru.

Who else got ruined by Napoli?
3597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Changes Lives, Touches Non-Formal Education for Underprivileged Children on: August 29, 2022, 12:06:12 PM
Almost found the right path on the forums, but it's not that great yet and will try to fix it.
Commit to keep going, it doesn't matter if it doesn't happen.
Good enough for now, I hope you are friends too

There is no right path, only the one that suits you. I know it's all zen to think about, but it's true. I look back and see I was more active in certain sections for Bitcoin back then but as the scene grew busy, and more experts joined in, I no longer was needed. Instead, found I was more useful in utility (gambling section) and there's where I am now. Maybe time moves me on.

Do a meetup in Acheh Wink

Superbru have finally activated UCL. The pool's been created and I've sent a PM to all paid participants. Let me know if you run into issues!

Anyway, we should expect 26 people and we have 2 sponsored slots from kind anon person so I'm 100% certain we will have 29 at minimum. Honestly I don't think that's bad at all for the "first go"!
Nice lists there, I see you are taking this pool very seriously. However you have some duplicates for sure, just by glancing at the lists you have cryptofrka in both paid and promised to play Smiley Could be more

I like our smaller pools, 60 is a bit too much for me, 25 is just about right. Big enough to make it interesting and small enough to "know" all the participants. That is my goal for the pools I am running.

Yeah, well, it is a sort of revival pool in UCL case, one failed attempt last season and even the past seasons not much interest, so wanted the first one to get more love, I would have tried even more if I hadn't been away past month!

And nice spot, I guess this means only 28 then heh! I must have forgot to take cryptofrka out of the list, he's the only one duplicated (already checked).

Also, one sponsored spot (igehhh) is already given away, there were 2 other semi-requests but they haven't really responded back so it's still up for grabs if anyone knows someone who might want it!

I do enjoy smaller pools for sure, World Cup and Euro I hope will get around the same # if those pools start up.

Anyone getting early group stage tickets to do a bit of euro tripping?
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: August 28, 2022, 04:04:34 PM
It looks like I was unnecessarily positive about Sainz to win this.  Cheesy  I just didn't expect Ferraris to stay this much slow. Leclerc had some problems in this race also which didn't surprise me even a bit. Sainz was the only hope but he was even struggling to stay ahead of Russell in the last moments. What a horrible race for Ferrari!

I actually almost wanted to leave either Sainz or Hamilton out, in the end kept them both in but redeemed myself with backing Verstappen against my gut. Thought it was over actually when he started in 14th but RB just seem to have found the formula to F1 this season and aren't letting go. Think it's time to give up on Ferrari really.

Villa so frustrating and I hope Gerrard can see they're just relying on Coutinho so much he's almost become a crutch they really need to throw off.

On Hammers, came into the game being the only league team to not score in England this season (6 goals in Europa so far though haha), man they looked like ghosts in first half. Needed a huge deflection to finally open account.

Antonio only came on for the final third, and I've been wondering if he's been so bad the past 3 games he got benched? Didn't watch so have no idea if was warranted. Did look as if he couldn't change the game even after coming on while Coutinho went off injured until much later on. This was the team that beat Liverpool on the Bitcoin ATH day...

Come on Spurs, lose today =D
