361  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: May 24, 2013, 12:11:58 AM
Hey Slush,
our last block 237574 didn't register with the database / didn't process.
I am interested in seeing this event resolved.
Block 237574 found by Deepbit, not Slush pool.
I was looking at this:  http://blockchain.info/block-index/385234/00000000000000f595dabc67b09229d6cd93224da85c46415f5c782e09ab576f
Where did Deepbit get credit?

blockchain.info - right on front page  Shows different from block explorer.   Funny thing.  Might want resolving...

I just started mining here a couple days ago with my first ASIC (blade).  Took me a while to get it hashing right because I had some wifi issues interfering but so far so good!

But where are you buying blade?  Am having 300.000,00 rubles for gear, but not finding available.

Can you be fixing "Income per Worker' graph?   Freezes up or takes back to cached logon screen after long time.  Not be working rightly.

you have to accept the odd 6 or 8 hour drudge too

Especially when the difficulty has increased -which went up approximately 11% from 10076292 to 11187257 about 4 days ago...

[EDIT] and now we had a six hour round, the shares will take some time to calculate - queue the large quantity of posts from some people about round calculations showing 'none', then a few posts later 'it seems to have corrected', then a few posts later 'yeah but there must be something wrong', then a few posts later 'where is slush', etc, etc, etc...

And who is be saying any such thing about - besides you?

@Geez

Problem being Slush pool not PPS it using Double Geometric Method (DGM) with constants set by fast decay and not having block carry across.  Math penalizes for not mining entire block, even few minutes not mining near end of block can erase whole reward.  Sorry to say but Slush pool not very good for miners who only mine few little times during day.  Better mining for part time on PPS pool kind maybe 50BTC but not so much BTC per share.  Good night.  Thank you.
Two things
1. Slush doesn't use DGM it uses Slush method
2. Even part time miner can use this. It is numbers game. He might start at the end of a block and get much more or start at start and get less. It all evens out at the end and you get the same-fee. And fee is higher at PPS.

OK I usually being wrong.  My friend speaking english gone with past discussing of method.   But reading Cosurgi and Raulo talking with Slush making it easy to confusing due to similar math implemented.

Hoping Japan complains.  Japan friendly nation to USA.  Grabbing funds of Japan company in USA act of war.  USSA already 12 wars at once maybe  being unlucky having 13.

USSA going do something bad by money like Argentina, not want citizens owning alternative kind money?

EclipseMC having block over whole day long few days before.  Eligius very long blocks too.  BTCGuild seems fewer blocks in PPLNS.

Luck for all pools going down after last difficulty increase?  Is how supposed to work?  Makes bad for small pools.  Slush still just right size, but doing all by longer blocks now I bet.  Soon not worth to play mining.

EclipseMC :  235415    1 d 04:23:50

To work now.  Have good day моя дорогая.

Weird - I've kind of been doing the same thing.  Perhaps we should collaborate.

Both OK.  Who releasing first or anyone ever?

This is a windows app that I recently wrote to get my stats/account info in one place.
It was just for me and a mate but thought I would tidy it up a bit and post to see if it is maybe a stupid idea or not.
It has configurable Auto Refresh and shows current duration when minimized so you don't need it maximized to check for block discovery.
If there was interest/demand I would consider a mobile version too with maybe email alert for things like block discovery, threshold alerts, reward checks, worker offline etc.

Is very nice having all on one page and not hitting refresh and switch and refresh over again.  Where is?

It almost looks like you lost connection. Judging by the leftovers of 18014 - looks like it probably happened about 30min before the end. And you stayed disconnected through the next two rounds (which were rather short ones - 10 and 36min) and then reconnected. For at least the last hour of 18017 you did have connection.

Disconnect?  да что угодно - miners submitted shares whole time.  Меня это не волнует - just curiosity more than another thing.

Don't get me wrong - I have no interest in providing you with misleading information (and for the record - neither a good one).

However, I didn't say it just because that's the way I like it - I was merely making an observation based on the facts (the btc awards that you got for each of those rounds).

A few questions for you - how do you know that your miners did actually work?
- did you check your miner for the number of shares submitted?
- did you check the web site for number of shares accepted?
- did the two numbers match? (or not?)
- At what times?
- What makes you think that you did have internet connection during that time? (for example - I have a DOS prompt with a non-stop running ping and 3000 lines buffer - that can tell me if something fishy happened recently; Aside from that several other logs and nagios alerts when things-that-are-not-supposed-to-happen actually do happen - I've caught my internet provider cutting my internet for hours at night when they think nobody will notice)

Last post of subject because not having friend here anymore with better english to write what I speak making me too much work.  Knowing miners  mining because of watching monitors and seeing cgminer going without errors.  Setting zero on display command when block change and watching accepting blocks count up.  It can be mystery without solution forever from this day to me.  Thank you.
