@Geez

Problem being Slush pool not PPS it using Double Geometric Method (DGM) with constants set by fast decay and not having block carry across.  Math penalizes for not mining entire block, even few minutes not mining near end of block can erase whole reward.  Sorry to say but Slush pool not very good for miners who only mine few little times during day.  Better mining for part time on PPS pool kind maybe 50BTC but not so much BTC per share.  Good night.  Thank you.
Two things
1. Slush doesn't use DGM it uses Slush method
2. Even part time miner can use this. It is numbers game. He might start at the end of a block and get much more or start at start and get less. It all evens out at the end and you get the same-fee. And fee is higher at PPS.

OK I usually being wrong.  My friend speaking english gone with past discussing of method.   But reading Cosurgi and Raulo talking with Slush making it easy to confusing due to similar math implemented.

Invalid blocks appear because finding blocks is kind of a race and someone else found and registered this block, probably seconds, before we did. It is an orphan block.

This doesn't have noting to to with you. All miners of the world are looking for blocks and sometimes it happens that someone finds a block just seconds before Slush pool and pool didn't detect that and send new data to pool miners to start searching for a new block. And pool finds a block in this time and send it to network and it gets rejected by network. This can be do to relay bed luck or pool core have bad connection to other nodes. Since this is a 4 or 5 invalid block in last 15 days and me being an idiot(read back to understand this one) I will not say that this is relay bad statistic. I will only tell you that you need to be the judge of that.

Hi all

I have added a couple of new features.
First ... the previous refresh worker data is now shown in brackets after the current data ... this is useful for checking back on and also ensuring that you are submitting shares on each worker.

Secondly I have also totaled the worker data in a row at the bottom.

I have now put the download in a zip.

Version 1.0.0.1 is here:

http://fileshosting.co.uk/files/mineminder.zip

Cheers

Thanks for the quick update. Will be great if you can add my share contribution for each ended round as part of the table at the bottom.

Unfortunately, submitted shares per round don't come out of the API feed from Slush, maybe it can be implemented?!
In the meantime one thing I was thinking of doing was detecting when a new block was found and saving the previous total shares score. It would be accurate down to (Block Discovered Time - Last Refresh Time) so would miss a few shares.

I have a ticker running on http://blockchain.info/latestblock which pings me when a new block is found - not perfect but good enough for what you need maybe...

Conformations are not paused. They are moving normally. Not finding blocks. Luck is down...

Cheers for the input, but I'd know when a new block was detected by reading the blocks feed.

22 sec and 1min 27 sec straight after each other -  you have to accept the odd 6 or 8 hour drudge too

Especially when the difficulty has increased -which went up approximately 11% from 10076292 to 11187257 about 4 days ago...

[EDIT] and now we had a six hour round, the shares will take some time to calculate - queue the large quantity of posts from some people about round calculations showing 'none', then a few posts later 'it seems to have corrected', then a few posts later 'yeah but there must be something wrong', then a few posts later 'where is slush', etc, etc, etc...

Multibit is just a wallet. Yes you can use its addresses with this pool. And no, it does not have to run all the time. You only need to run Multibit when you want to SEND coins. You can receive coins to that address any time, even when wallet is on a USB key in a safebox somewhere (aka "cold storage")

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
