361  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 07, 2019, 01:08:07 PM
I saw in my social media feeds that there's a lot of people now posting about free cryptocurrency that needed of kyc before you get a penny money. This people not think if it's will good to them to give their identity in any site for just penny money. Yeah it's free but your identity will be possible to use in any harmful doings.

Whats your thoughts about this?

It's a risk to entrust them our personal identity and information. We should choose where to join. I wonder why they have to ask for a KYC if they're just offering free money. We should not trust them easily if it involves our personal information.

The main purpose of KYC is to reduce the risk of money laundering. Exchanges should make KYC mandatory as this step will be beneficial for all.
On the other hand, I have seen small ICOs and airdrops requires that you first do KYC before the free tokens will be deposited to you. I never understand the logic behind it and also those free airdrop tokens have zero monetary value.

the logic is simple , they want to filter abusers in the form of kyc  . it was effective by the way because alot of people including me are now avoiding them . we cant tell if they have a zero monetary value because if they did then they dont include kyc at the first place  . they dont want to give people a hassel for a zero valued token  .  we dont know if they have other purpose for getting our private info's   . we must be extra carefull tho .
362  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it good to recruit other person to join Blockchain technology? on: April 06, 2019, 10:37:18 PM
I think it is good idea to recruit person who willing to learn the power of blockchain technology especially those people that are positive mindset and hardworking.

recruiting people to join Crypto is a good choice. because crypto can grow and many people can get knowledge from other friends. because developments always develop, we don't miss it.
Change that word recruit to encourage because usually people mislead that word and they thought cryprocurrency is just an investment scheme.

I agree .  the word recruit seem to be shady and oftently being used on shady activities . while the word encourage is a positive word  . anyway ,  its hard to encourage someone to join blockchain technology because blockchain is a complex process while if its more easier if you encourage someone to join cryptocurrency  because crypto is the finish product of the blokchain  . all they gotta do is to plug and play  , no technical knowledge needed  .
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO IS WAY BETTER on: April 06, 2019, 09:59:12 PM
Yeah because IEO is already an exchange itself and it is where the coin will be listed and traded. In addition, I feel safer investing into IEOs rather than ICOs because the main project of IEOs is the exchange itself and for the exchange to get popular it should have maintain a good and safe image to the community.

Yes ieo's are backed by exchange but what if the exchange that conducts ieo's are scam ? For now its too early to tell because ieo"s are only starting  . wait till ieo's become really popular , im sure that other crappy exchange will also conduct their own ieo's  . watch out for them  .

IEO is much safer for both project and contributors, but the biggest disadvantage of IEO is that it does not help to grow a project' community - the most people are only interested in getting profit right after listing.

nothing prevents for IEO-projects to conduct a bouty campaign and grow a project community. it won't cost too much and will be very effective.

So far i dont see any campaign related to ieo's but if ever they will do it , i think it will be an instant hit because users feel that they are more safer with ieo's . the cost will depend on the campaign duration and number of participants  .
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become the reserve currency of the world? on: April 06, 2019, 11:02:28 AM
what I’m sure of is bitcoin is a reserve money of every cryptonians specially bitcoiners as we are holding this for future uses, and some of us are reserving those crypto assets for their children’s and love ones.this is enough reason for bitcoin to be called as reserved currency

the reason why bitcoin holders hold bitcoin is not because they are reserving it for the future use but because they are using it as an investment tool to be able to earn a profit  . some holds bitcoin but they are using it for paying of for buying stuffs online & offline .   there is no point for us to reserve a crypto because there is alot of other currency out there especially fiats where the banks can print unlimited amounts  .  bitcoin can be rather called an alternative currency of the world  .
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the market completely recovered on: April 06, 2019, 09:41:48 AM
there is no fix price for every cryptos . we cant say that the market has recovered or not .

it only depends on the persons goal if what price is his target qouta  .

while majority of users only wants the price to increase  .

they only based on the highest possible price that cryptos get . for example on the year 2017 all cryptos reach their ath's but eventually the prices fell down . they wont see recovery if the price wont return on its previous ath
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reversal of Bear Market? on: April 06, 2019, 07:24:45 AM
i don’t like the nature of people who consider everything as a chance to sell,

If you dont like them then dont  . thats thier life not yours .  the reason why they sell is because they want cash and they dont care if they will loose more or not  .

Hopefully that we floor already, $3,200 is the lowest IMO and we will never see that again.

3200 usd is not the lowest .  if you will look at the price history of bitcoin you can see that its value was super cheap before   .  i guess its possible for that to happen again if ever people and whales will decide to sell all what they got   .

If we end up at $5,000 this year, it would still be fine for me and for sure everyone will happily accept it since its's a major improvement already.

5k is okay but im sure that most users will not be happy  because they expect higher than this    . thier expectations for bitcoin is too high  .  5k is not a major improvement  imo but its only a normal increase     . the price of bitcoin did not recover fully recover yet
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is downloading money into your PC on: April 06, 2019, 03:58:17 AM
The title of this thread is attractive although it is misleading . Imagining money to be downloadable, indeed it is amazing but it wont never happen.

your right its verry attractive but its not misleading  . its true actually because op did mention the term mining and mining is basically simillar to downloading .  the only difference is that mining works pretty slow when compare to downloading but i think this issue can be fix in the future is inventors can create a super mining  hardware  .

I think it is just another too high imagination of OP in hoping to see a way to earn money from the internet.

its not imagination but its real and its now happening . we can use the internet to make money because there are now lots of jobs online that you can do aside from mining  .

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Animated Series 'Bitcoin and Friends' Make Bitcoin Fun Again? on: April 06, 2019, 01:54:45 AM

is bitcoin fun before ? i dont think so . bitcoin for me is thrilling coz its like a roller coaster ride when the price can go up and down in a fast and unexpected manner  . however this videos/movies is a good way to help bitcoin to be recognized by other individuals  . i like how they title it  . its true by the way  ,  you can make friends if you use bitcoin  . whether it is online or offline because you can ask someone and you can also teach someone in regards to bitcoin talks  .
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: April 05, 2019, 04:37:35 AM
imo bitcoin is actually a bad medium for doing day trade or  trading  due to its higher value   . you can only buy smaller amounts because its expensive and you can only earn small amounts of profit because you buy them at a high price and whats worst is that you can loose big when the value dumps  . imo bitcoin is only good for a currency use ( ex. for buying , paying )   . while altcoins on the other hand are the one that is suitable for  trading purposes because they are smaller/lighter  . they are inexpensive  , you can buy them anytime of day   . you wont regret if you loose because you will only loose small .
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think the market is becoming bullish..What do you think on: April 05, 2019, 03:42:35 AM
With a lot of news in the crypto world I think we are ready and set for the next bull run. I am positive about it and I believe the market will not be bearish forever. I actually want to hear your view on this particular topic.

The market will not be bearish forever, that's for sure, but the price is hardly moving and it's moving slowly, in fact, it's hard to make a profit from this movement, we are heading to the second quarter, but people are still showing hesitance to invest.
Of course, the market will never stay bearish forever. though, since from the beginning of March, 2019, a lots of coins are showing some strong signs of resistance on the market and that begs the question, why is that? and answer is that was the bullish sign.
I always follow the news regarding the cryptocurrency market. Many analysts associate the March rise in prices for cryptocurrency with the entry of large players to the market, and if we are talking about strong investors, then this year we should see very good results on the rise in prices for cryptocurrency.

i see that you guys love to listen to the news  . well thats a nice strategy but anyway the market is still in bearish imo because the price still drops after a small recover  . a real bullish trend is that when cryptos will only increase up to the point that they will reach another new ath  .  but this was only for the quarter 1  .  lets wait and see until the 3rd quarter of this year if the price could still improved , if not then next year ( 2020 ) will surely be the year for cryptos especially bitcoin since there was  a rumored halving that said can help the price to pump  .
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still hodl? Then we go to you! on: April 05, 2019, 01:33:48 AM
because I do not want to take risks with a market situation like this, it is not stable and the trend continues to change every day. so it's better for me to just wait for the price to go up.

investing is not safe because you are not exempted on the fluctuations  . infact investors can loose more than a trader could loose because a trader can sell imediately after they see a little hike  .  @op yes i am .  i am still hodling because i have a price plan or a qouta in which i will only sell if the value recovers again at 18k usd just like on what happend last year  because fyi i did bought my coins at a seemlesly high price last year   and now im stuck , im facing the consequences of an investor  .
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: April 05, 2019, 12:19:54 AM
Diversifying is good only if the market will continue the uptrend movement..

even if the market wont continue in uptrend movement  , diversifying is still a wise idea to do  .  not only it lessen the risk of loosing all but also it ensures you that you will still earn even other coins are dumped but if all coins are pumped , it also allows you to earn more potential income  .

The current movement could be a trap.  It would be a bit safe to day trade than stockpiling more altcoin  longterm

if you think that the current movement is a trap then why bother trade ?  isnt it a good idea to wait for a while and investigate if the movement of the coins was really a trap or not  . stockpilling or stocking more coins is pretty beneficial to do during your hodling sessions .
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency investment on: April 04, 2019, 11:32:06 PM
It is easy to say that you should sell at the right time - but it is rather difficult to do that, especially on the cryptocurrency market with it's volatility.

there is no right or wrong time here when it comes to crypto investing but it only depend on the persons goal  . all of us have a diffeent goals in life . if one wants to be rich , he will only hodl and wait for a long time until the value pump and reach its new ath  but if the persons goal is only to earn quick profits , he will only sell as long as he sees an oppurtunity  .

I think holding is the easiest and rather profitable strategy for the most people.

hodling or investing is not easy  because it takes lots of patience and you also need to be attentitive if when to sell or buy  but no doubt this is more pofitable than trading if done right  .
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance traders are making more money than other traders on: April 04, 2019, 11:14:35 AM

why ? whats the difference of binance traders to other exchange traders ? hhmm maybe binance traders are more skillful and more knowledgeable  or maybe there are also other reasons behind thier success  .

i know . binance is a popular exchange and known to have a huge volume  , i think this the reason why binance traders can earn more profit  but but  , a pro trader can always earn sufficient profit no matter what exchanges he or she will be using  .
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to paypal new method on: April 04, 2019, 09:49:52 AM
I was interested by the information that OP shared, however he did not indicate that the video was not in English.
Was a little disappointed, I wanted to learn how to convert my BTC to Paypal at the standard exchange rate, but I couldn't get good info from the video.
OP, I'm sure you know how to speak English since you know how to write it, please make an English version.

thats easy and there is no need for you to stress your self here  .  there are many service online that accepts btc to paypal or paypal to btc ( vice versa ) and you can also do that here on the forum specifically in the currency exchange section . here is the link  > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
you can choose from the existing offers or you can also post your own offers  . just choose the reputable user or better use an escrow for sureball and safe transaction  . goodluck  !
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ?? on: April 04, 2019, 09:11:15 AM
They are considered conservative investments for a reason. You don't exactly make much but you don't lose much either. And precious metals do have intrinsic value. In a world without fiat you can still bet people would still want gold and silver.

besides that, I think that between eas and silver above inflation, it makes it safer. different from saving money in a bank, where profits are below inflation. but investing in gold in the form of goods also has risks, because it can be lost stolen by people
well, but sometimes saving assets at the bank will be safer. but, everyone has different things about this. even now, I am also aiming for gold and silver to be made an investment tool for now.

no one is safe in the world that we are living  . yes banks can secure your the value of your money from fluctuations but banks can be robbed and banks can get bankrupt  . some banks are also scam and all of that reason can loose your money while on cryptos you yourself is your own bank  becauase you are the ones that control your money and you can also earn huge income at the same time but the catch is that cryptos are volatile or unstable . gold and silver can be a good option to diversify your funds because they are stable  , while they do also have a good value  .
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are really the future of ICOs? on: April 04, 2019, 07:22:43 AM
to be honest , this was my first time to heard of it . is this the same as lpo's and ipo's  ?   in the meantime ieo's are the one that everyone is talking about  . they say ieo's is the future of ico's because ieo's are said to be legit due to the fact that they are backed by famous and reputable exchange sites  .  for now maybe but we dont know in the future   .  i remeber last time when the first ico came out , they are also legit but eventually the ico scene got polluted by greedy sccammers   . lets hope the same thing wont happen to ieo's and sto's
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Behind Crypto When You Are Gone? on: April 04, 2019, 06:37:24 AM

we can't live in isolation we have to trust someone a family member for example to leave him a copy of the private keys / password / 2fa etc to use only in case of extreme necessity, for example i would keep the altcoins on a ledger nano or on a paper wallet of which i would leave a copy of the private keys on a encrypted usb pen to a trusted person...
I'm afraid we could just end up our life without someone we could teach before anything to happen to us. I know some of our family members won't have such understanding with crypto as same thing we do it. Leaving with them the keys, passwords or anything about our crypto wallet isn't enough for them to  get of what we left if they still don't have knowledge about this. May teaching them or engage them with crypto earlier would be a big help.

learning the basics or teaching them the basics rather is not that hard . imo credit cards and using facebook is more harder than opening a crypto wallet . so if you parents do those stuffs then why cant they be doing crypto ? eh ?   my point is we should teach our loved ones or any person that you trust the most to learn the basics of crypto ( e.g how to open the wallet ) and we must leave them our passwords  . so that they can recover your funds if something unusual happen to you  . i already done this , with my wife   .
379  Other / Off-topic / Re: I want to buy home with bitcoin. on: April 04, 2019, 04:55:52 AM
= snip =

Here in my country there was a owner of a house and lot and he posted it on our local forum that accepting bitcoin as mode of payment, and even if you cant see any home that accepts btc as mode of payment you can cash it out and buy your dream home, just wishing best for you to attain it.

wow that was cool  .  again that is another evidence that bitcoin adoption is growing to the next level  . before  we dont see items that are being sold for bitcoins but now even real estates are now bieng sold locally in exchange for bitcoins   . i salute those merchants because they arent afraid of the volatility  . in thier minds they just want to support and help bitcoin to be recognize by other big time personalities   .  anyway @op  dont loose hope , always believe in your deams that you can do it   . gl
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the God of crypto........ on: April 04, 2019, 12:33:14 AM
You are right, but there are some holders, whales who hold also altcoins like ETH, LTC.... and they don't convert always this coins to bitcoin, maybe only when they want to cash out and that altcoin not have pair with USD. But most people use bitcoin and want bitcoin, this is good for price, and now the price keeps grow.

on our country there as a local wallet here that you call coins.ph  ,  it is an wallet/exchange and it supports several top cryptos namely xrp , bch , eth . we cannot cashout our money directly if its not converted to bitcoins or to fiat currency  .  im not sure if other wallet/exchanges do also does this or they allow direct cashout using altcoins and tokens  . but its possibly to buy altcoins directly using fiat   .
