361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to sell all alts? on: January 20, 2018, 02:03:48 AM
Good day,
Do you think that BTC is going to reach 20k soon?
If yes do I need to sell all alts and wait for rising BTC?
What to do now ? I am confused!!!!
In my opinion, bitcoin and altcoin has its own vital role in blockchain technology.  The two cryptocurrencies have the same concept of decentralization and volatility which  compliments to one another both directly and indirectly.  This is the reason why many investors chooses to invest both in bitcoin and altcoin.

Unlike bitcoin currency which has a stable spot in the market and gain people's trust, the sprouting of different alt coins brings confusion to many people.  Some altcoins experience a significant surge in value and market capitalization while other altcoins were left behind.

With this situation, you have to analyze first what altcoin do you hold and how does your altcoin gain confidence and accepted into market.  If your altcoin have a good roadmap, then, you do not need to convert into bitcoin but if your altcoin belongs to the left behind cryptos, then it is time to convert it into bitcoins.

Those altcoin which gain and establish their name and being supported and used by the market  are good cryptos to hold because it also has a great potential like bitcoin.  You don't need to convert it into bitcoin.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will ethereum rise higher than it ever was?(2k$ possible) on: January 19, 2018, 12:19:39 PM
ethereum in 2 weeks went from a mere 770$ to 1400$,
it actually doubled it self, and now most of the major cryptos are facing corrections do you think ethereum would reach 2000$ or would it again stabilise around its previous value?
Year 2017 was indeed a great year for bitcoin and ethereum and I believe that it will coninue its success this year.  As the bitcoin community grows, altcoin community grows as well.  This is because many investors who invest in bitcoin also invest in altcoin.

With the positive acceptance of bitcoin community in ethereum, it is no doubt that ethereum value will reach even more than 2000$.
363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: January 16, 2018, 12:47:34 PM
Losing is part of successfully trading. If you treat losing as part of trading then you are an experienced trader.
Yes, I definitely agree with you.  Losing is part of successful trading because even the expert  in trading suffer losses.  Those who are affected and controlled by their emotion often do not succeed in trading so you must control your emotion and overcome your fear.  Remember that all traders started with a fear in their heart and doubt in their minds but they all overcome and conquer it that is why they became experienced trader.  It is also important to listen to the testimonies of experienced traders on how they overcome they fear and how they continue engaging in trading despite how many times they experience losses.  It is about matter of taking risk to be able to earn.  At the end, when you are able to conquer your fears and start earning, for sure at the end, you will say, the risk is all worthy.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: January 16, 2018, 12:34:25 PM
Hey guys.

How can I increase my bitcoin money? I am a bit curious to those people who can easily make money “btc” grow fast. How do they it correctly?
Can I ask a bit of advice on how to manage it like what you do?
Of course I know many people here want to know too.

Maybe it is good to share a little of it. It would be great if we grow together.

There are many ways to increase your bitcoin money.  Some ways are through investing, trading, mining, gambling and joining signature campaigns.  But prior to engaging into it, proper understanding and timing about it is a must.  Read articles, news and watch youtube videos regarding how to earn and engage in the aforementioned ways is suggested.  The most popular is through investing.  You can convert flat into bitcoins through buying bitcoins when its price is low.  You can also try to invest and support different ICOs.  Gambling and trading can easily make your bitcoin grow but it is more risky compared to investing. At the end, it is depend on you which way do you prefer that will best fit into your personality.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your mentality after a huge loss? on: January 16, 2018, 12:04:58 PM
What do you do after you suffer a huge loss?
If you have more money would you again take the risk and invest or would you just stop trading and try to earn in some other way?
Experiencing huge loss in trading, investing or gambling is a phenomenon that really hard to handle and recover.  The feeling of regret on your losses might eat you up and might ruined your confidence. When  I suffer a huge loss, the first thing I did is I entertain myself to forget my losses.  I also rest for a while until I accept everything that happen.  I also evaluate my move and my strategies I used why I fall into losses.  After evaluating my action, I right down the next strategy I might use so it will not happen again.  I do not even think to stop because I believe that the next trading, investing or gambling is a different story.  I also orient myself on the saying that Quitters never win so I must not quit to be able to win.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is an Asset or Currency? on: January 16, 2018, 11:27:47 AM
I believe that the initial purpose of crypto is to create a digital currency for making transactions quick and easy. However, in reality it has become an asset which everybody is buying and holding. Continuing doing like this will destroy the initial purpose of the coin?

What is your opinion?
Because of the high value of cryptocurrencies in the market nowadays, most bitcoin and altcoin holders prefer to hold and invest their cryptos rather than using and spending it as a currency. With the concept of crypto volatility, it is no doubt why bitcoin holders choose to invest and hold it because of the possible profit it might offer.   Because of that, cryptos can be classified as an asset.

I think this phenomenon will not destroy the initial purpose of bitcoin. Instead, it will help in establishing bitcoin promotion so  community who put confidence and trust in bitcin will continue to grow.  If the bitcoin community continue to expand, then, more establishment will accept it as a form of currency that will lead to the possibility of its legalization.  If that happen, people will also use it as a form of currency.

At present, even bitcoiner prefer not to use it as a mode of payment or tool for transaction, there are also some who use it as a currency if necessary.  And that is something that we can appreciate about it.  We can use and posses it both as an asset and currency.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: January 16, 2018, 10:34:58 AM
The number of successful ICO's are decreasing dramatically.  Just wanna know about successful ICO's in the fourth quarter of 2017 and if anybody still believes in  ICO's.
Last year (2017) is considered as a great and incredible year for cryptocurrencies.  Bitcoin community expands and its value pump up and reach beyond everybody's expectation.  Along with the success of bitcoin, different ICOs were launched and pop up like a mushroom in the market.  That's why 2017 is also considered as the year of ICOs. Some ICOs were unable to reach its target and failed to launch their projects but there are still many ICOs who became successful.  Those ICOs were supported by million of investors around the world. Those ICOs are filecoin, tenzos, eos, bancor, status, MobileGo, SONM, Basic Attention Token, Polybius, and Aeternity.  Because of their success, more developers became inspired to develop more coins that will answer the needs of the people.  In the other hand, Those investors who buy their coins during ICO gain large profit out of their investment. More people still believe in ICOs and because of that, I believe that 2018 is another good year for ICOs.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: January 16, 2018, 10:13:27 AM
Who uses this wallet? - https://www.myetherwallet.com/
What say about him?

I am using myetherwallet and I am satisfied on its service.  I learn quickly how to use it and I find it user-friendly.  Even it has the tendency to be hacked, I just make sure to secure my private keys, password, jason files and my url.  I only use my private laptop when I open my wallet to ensure the security of my wallet.  I guess, myetherwallet user grows and on its way to be the most popular web-based wallet.
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: January 16, 2018, 10:03:52 AM
Now when BC is sky high and ETH also pretty high. DO people even give their real money for those currencies. I mean give 300$ for 1ETH or 6000$ for 1BC is too much for most people.
I mean how often do people buy crypto currency like ETH and BC
There are many ways to earn cryptocurrencies.  Some people earn it through mining, joining signature campaigns or devoting to online jobs that offers cryptos as a payment.  But, there are many people whose willing to exchange their flat money into cryptocurrencies.  They are those investors who look into cryptocurrencies as a good firm of investment.  As the time goes by, cryptocurrency became more popular.  Considering the fact that cryptocurrency is volatile in nature that has a tendency to pump up its price any time, more people hook into it.   They often buy cryptos when the price of bitcoin is low or they buy alt coins during ICO where they can buy coins in much cheaper price.  I also knew some people who devoted half of their salary to invest in ICOs and in return, their investment tripled its value.
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: January 15, 2018, 12:15:29 PM
I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?

Bitcoin and altcoins are both good avenue to invest to.  As we all know, bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies and the concept of alt coin is basically patterned from bitcoin.  It is said that it is never too late to invest in bitcoin.  Why? Because it is already stable and still  has a great potential in the market. The community trusting bitcoin continue to expand and it almost conquer the internet world. And this is definitely true.  But, the fact that its price is too high to invest to plus the expensive transaction charge is a big concern considering the fact that not everybody has the capacity and capability to invest with such big amount of money.  With that reason, some people pushing to look at altcoins. Why? Simply because altcoin is much cheaper than bitcoin and the transaction fee is much cheaper as well.  It also offer bigger blockchain compared to bitcoin meaning it can offer more than what bitcoin can offer. So, altcoin is faster, offer better investment options and more volatile.  The altcoin like ethereum continue to increase its value in the market as well which proves that it is on the way to pump just like bitcoin.  In this case, my opinion is to invest both in bitcoin and altcoins.
371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: January 15, 2018, 07:14:06 AM
I feel like i miss the boat or missing the even bigger one.  Huh As i want to develop new skills on trading i would like to know more about trader sources. What sites they use or which news sources they follow. And is there any book e-book you can advice? Thank you all answers!
You can look and search in youtube some videos educating its viewer about trading.  There are also many blogs giving ideas and point of views about trading.  You can also purchase trading book that is available in the market but for me, The best place to know more about the trading world is this site.  This is simply because most traders post their comments here and give some ideas about trading industries.  This site also offers different trading sites where you can trade to.  So, for me, the bitcointalk.org is the best source to learn trading.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: January 15, 2018, 07:05:51 AM
I'm developing an altcoin that is based on social sharing. What foundational technologies are going to make it the most valuable? What makes an altcoin valuable? I'm wondering if it is just how much people hear about it? Thoughts?

If we will study the concept of money, A currency became valuable because of the people who trust and put confidence about a certain money.  Meaning, it is the people who make a certain currency valuable.  If you caught the investors attention though a good platform sited in your whitepaper that will answer the needs of many people nowadays with a good market price and you can prove them how reputable person you are, then the market will also patronized your coin.  If there is a good demand of your coins, then good supply will follows.  But beyond everything else, it must be usable and convertible in any kind of currency.  With that concept, your cryptocurrency became valuable in the market.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 15, 2018, 06:52:58 AM
Just wondering if ETH can

Bitcoin already established a good reputation in the market nowadays. There is a big difference between the bitcoin and ethereum value but, if we will trace its humble beginning, bitcoin and ethereum have the same paths. In this sense, ethereum also has a great chance to reach bitcoin value.

Bitcoin and Ethereum has the same concept that is powered by blockchain technology that is why some bitcoin investors also invest in ethereum.  They make ethereum as a back-up in case bitcoin value decreases.   There are also some investors specially those newby in investment field invest in ethereum rather than in bitcoin because ethereum has a lesser value compared to bitcoin plus it offers much more features compared to bitcoin.  The high transaction fee in bitcoin also affects why some investors switch to ethereum because it has a cheaper transaction fees.  Because of the above-mentioned factors, ethereum community continue to grow and expand.  In this sense, ethereum reaching bitcoin value is indeed possible.

374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find good cryptos? on: January 15, 2018, 06:26:01 AM
Hi,

there are so many cryptos and I find it hard to identify the ones where I should have a closer look.
Obviously one can find cryptos e.g. by listening to shilling on Reddit. But I'm looking for more professional sources like YouTube channels, free/ paid Telegram/Discord groups and so on. What do you use?
Many cryptocurrencies launches in the market nowadays.  Identifying which is good and which is not became the issue and caught the attention of the bitcoiners.  The best way to find whether a crypto has a good reputation is through identifying the persons behind the cryptos (developers) and reading and analyzing the white paper of the  ICO or currency (it is a must).  You can find some ideas about the crypto coins on cryptocurrency forum sites as well as crypto trading sites where you can gain additional information about the currency.  There are some ICO rating sites also than can guide you the current situation of the crypto in the market.  Those are just some techniques I used prior to investing.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bad Psychology of Traders on: January 14, 2018, 09:50:21 AM
Why most of Traders have bad psychology of trading they keep lose more and more and can lost his account and they left quickly when operations is winning?
Many traders fall into "bad psychology" but it only happens  if the trader uses his emotions rather than staying focus and being proactive.  It is human nature to be easily controlled by emotion specially when you engage in trading. Some people want to withdraw/sell their bitcoins while other wanted to continue trading to get back what they loss.  Those bitcoiners who controlled by their emotions while investing or trading often end up regretting when the bitcoin price increases or when the operation is winning.  When you experience losses, it is important not to loss confidence and not to be upset.  Calm yourself.  Never ever think of quitting.  Remember that those who are expert in trading also suffer losses but they do not quit that is why they become rich. You have to study the flow and right timing is important.  Through that, you will not fall again in "bad psychology".
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: January 13, 2018, 01:30:43 PM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

Once you engage in trading, there are always two possibilities: You will earn or you will loss.  You will feel great happiness when you earn but you will feel upset when you loss.  Dealing with trading losses are not easy to overcome.  But you have to put in mind that even great traders suffer losses.  If you suffered looses, you just have to stay focused and be proactive.  Do not  loss confidence.   Then, move on. Just put in mind that this is part of the game. The next trading is a different story so do not loose hope to try again to engage in trading.

Compared to other trading firms that you have to focus and analyze every aspects of  political, economical and current events and issues, in crypto trading, you just have to focus only on the cryptocurrency price movement.  So, when you loss, just stay focus and for sure you will recover.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top upcoming ICO with greatest potential on: January 12, 2018, 12:50:09 PM
What are the TOP upcoming ICO with greatest potential?
The Digital Identification Wallet (DIW) ICO shows a great potential.  DIW offers a personal decentralized identity service which allow registered account holders to securely store and access their identification documents, passwords, bank accounts, credit cards and other documents.  It also offer a complete freedom to transact using any form of currency either flat or crypto currencies. Their wallet can also store electronic health record.  DIW will ensure maximum security to demanding premium members through the security offered by blockchain technology.  With this kind of digital wallet, where you can store everything securely, many people will truly use and avail it because this is what everybody needs.  With this concept, this DIW ICO have a great potential.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King and Ethereum is Queen , Do you agree ? on: January 12, 2018, 11:34:06 AM

Yes, I agree.  Bitcoin is the mother of all cryptocurrency because other cryptocurrency was basically from the concept of Bitcoin.  Ethereum is next in the rank of bitcoin that is why it is considered as a queen.  Many people who invest in bitcoin also engage investment in Ethereum so, in case the the first currency decreases its value the second crypto currency can back it up.  Nowadays, Bitcoin value is very good that reaches upto $17,000 while Ethereum price continue to increases its value up to $1, 400. Even there is a great gap between the value of the two cryptos, they both gain trust and confidence from many people and acknowledge by many investors.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is ICO ? on: January 12, 2018, 10:50:49 AM

Pretty new to cryptos, and I have bought ADA,XRP and NEO...

Reading a lot about ICO's but cannot really figure out what ICO's are...

Any anyone explain me the fundamentals ?
ICO is an acronym for Initial Coin Offering.  It is a method on which funds are raised for new currency ventures.  It is also called coin creation or coin launching.  It is sold for investors who want to support the project in exchange of rights or legal tender of cryptocurrencies.   ICO are usually introduced into public together with the whitepaper explaining everything and all about a certain projects.  In ICO, tokens are offered in exchange to cryptocurrency such a bitcoin or ether or flat.  The fund gathered will be used for the implementation of the project.  In return, the tokens that was given to the investors will serve as their investment on the project where they can also sell it after the ICO if they want but the value is much higher compared to its value during ICO . From that concept, investors will sure earn from their investment.
