361  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 25, 2023, 01:55:06 PM
Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
I think it's not about that they are not proud of what they are doing but maybe they just don't feel exposing themselves publicly with gambling or they just need some privacy. It could be that they have justifiable reasons why they did that. Common reason is of family related issues second one is the nature of the specific gambling or there is an issue about regulations or legality.
Some people value their privacy and don’t see the point in telling anyone else about what they do with their time and money. It’s that simple.
What does it matter if someone decides to keep their habits a secret? It really shouldn’t concern anyone what someone else chooses to do with their time and money.
I always try to keep my gambling activities secret. Because I know that if anyone finds out about my gambling, I have no chance of profiting but more likely to lose. Because there are some people who may constantly give advice or may feel annoyed by their words. And for some reason my normal gambling behavior may also be affected. So I don't want anyone to know about my gambling. I believe there is a tendency among all gamblers who do not want to share their gambling habits with anyone. I think as a prudent gambler every one should do it.

You have a good point in what you said, because there are others who don't really understand what we do, and besides that, most of them have a bad view of gambling. And we also know this about ourselves, right? So we don't want minors to see it.

I'm hiding my gambling because I'm definitely like him; he'll fight me for sure. Instead of us having an argument, I'll just keep it a secret and keep it to myself that only I know. To avoid a mess that could ruin our relationship. So it's okay that only I know and the community here in the forum knows.
362  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Which bull run experience is the best for you? on: October 24, 2023, 04:11:30 PM
2017 bull run and of course the peak of Axie.
Sobrang dami ng mga opportunity to make money during that time and doon talaga ako nagsimula na magbago ang buhay which is until now naeenjoy ko because nagtiwala ako kay Bitcoin during that time.
I wasn't able to fully ride the 2017 bull run, but I surely made some huge profits during this time. I must agree, yung peak ng axie last 2021 and the crypto market looked crazy diba, hindi inakala ng lahat na that year mangyayare yung dating haka-haka lang nung mga nakaraang taon, and given the short period of time is ambilis lumaki ng market ng crypto, talagang game-changer yung dating sa financial space ng mundo.

363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about WhiteBit exchange? on: October 24, 2023, 04:01:00 PM
What do you think about WhiteBit exchange?  please share your experience - is it  secure? I heard 96% of all assets are stored on cold wallets.

Previously, if you used that, you could withdraw there even if you didn't pass any KYC. After a few months, they suddenly had a change in their policy that required you to pass KYC on their platform. You cannot trade using their platform if you are not verified.

That exchange is a mess because they won't allow you to do trading activity, but you can make a deposit. It seems like their policy is not good it's like they're a trap for newbies who will use their platform.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: October 24, 2023, 03:48:19 PM
did Binance just announce they're finally jumping on the copy trading feature? I mean, kudos to them for catching up, but seriously? Copy trading wasn't a thing on Binance before this? I genuinely thought Binance had this feature ages ago.

But hey, better late than never, right? Now that Binance is stepping into copy trading, I'm curious: Who was actually the trailblazer in bringing this concept to the spot market?

I've been seeing COOY trading added as one of the features of Binance for a few months now. Maybe CZ noticed that the top exchange has copy trading on their respective platforms, and he is the only one who doesn't have it, so he went along with it.

But I don't think anyone pays much attention to copy trading on Binance right now. Because copy trading means that if you are lazy, you can try it, or even if you don't know anything about trading, you can still do it.

366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: App for crypto indicators on: October 23, 2023, 09:04:51 AM
I try to find some apps for indicators. To alert me when indicators for some coin reach some value but I could not find any apps for that so I am trying to create one.

Here is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kec.crypto.alert.indicator

I just start working on it there are tons of stuff that needs to be added so every suggestion is welcome.

For now, I just add RSI and MACD signals(that are the main signals that I am using for trading) and maybe MACD can be updated to work in multiple ways. If anyone has some suggestions I am open Smiley

I am thinking to add a third signal but not sure which one. Thinking about Bollinger bands.

So what do you think?

I haven't tried to use apps like that on mobile, but it's better when you use it in the trading view than on mobile apps, if I'm not mistaken.
Then you know, there are many tool indicators that can be used, and the traders who will use them must have an idea or basic knowledge.

Zero knowledge is not possible, and it takes time before a newbie can understand that, right? Apparently, DYOR is still needed before it can actually be used properly.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 23, 2023, 08:53:40 AM
If you don't have confidence in the asset you're holding, don't waste time prolonging it; you should sell it now. It's that simple to do. If you are just holding your crypto or bitcoin assets long-term without knowing the reason because you just heard from your acquaintances, I think you should sell them.

But if you believe that it can provide you with the time or during the bull run or halving, there is no reason for you to sell it now; continue believing that it will provide you with a good profit in the future. Good luck...
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin were a physical currency. on: October 23, 2023, 08:31:28 AM
I'm new here and don't know much about bitcointalk forums. But I thought about Bitcoin for a while. At one point I wondered what it would be like if Bitcoin was a physical currency instead of a digital currency. It would not have gained so much popularity, and its price would not have increased so much. If it were a physical currency, it would be very difficult to buy, how would you buy? And had to go to different stores to sell or buy. How difficult it would have been then. Are you thinking about this?

It is no different from a natural or ordinary currency, no sense, and no opportunity for sure for anyone. So why did you think this? You are describing a situation that is not the case in reality. Or you can't believe that Bitcoin is not even physical money but has a value that is dear to the market while fiat currencies have not increased in value like Bitcoin?

Remember, Bitcoin was created to solve the financial problem and provide opportunity not only to poor people but also to entrepreneurs and every country that recognizes the concept of Bitcoin and why it was created.
369  Economy / Economics / Re: how businesses swindle the minimum wage employee on: October 22, 2023, 03:38:13 PM
I'm not really sure how's your life in your country if you get paid $20800 pretax per year, but in third world countries you're a millionaire and most of people want to become you.

People who live in third world countries will do anything in order to work, if you think he should get paid extra for 1.5 hours per day he spent, here it's really normal and it's more than 1.5 hours. It could be 2 hours, 3 hours etc and the company will said it's a proof if you're loyal with the company.

If you don't agree with that they can fired you or do something to make you not happy. The company has nothing to lose because there are many unemployment out there that can replace their current employees.

Many employees even willing to have a sex with the employer in order to get promoted.

20800$ in a year's income is a big income here in our country because the regular or ordinary employee here who works in the company usually earns only 2500$–3000$ in a year. Now, if you are a supervisor or manager, it ranges around $5,000–$7,000 a year.

This is the situation here in our country, so it means you can be considered a rich person with that kind of income every year, or, let's say, a middle-class type person in this world.

Check this link tiktok link from DZBB
Fake hacking ito. I've seen a video na may naka-access pa din sa website ng HOR after that hacking news although through a different route.

371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 20, 2023, 01:13:23 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?

These are the statements that notably lead a gambler to get more addicted to gambling. Perhaps the thinking that "this next round of my betting I will win and I will get back what I lost for a few rounds" would motivate them to believe optimistically, "This time I will be lucky." Something that has lost its positive qualities while they are unaware of it in themselves.

In other words, they think only positively while losing; they are unaware of how quickly their balance is depleting and won't become aware of it until they are out of money.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 20, 2023, 01:02:57 PM
Maybe that depends on the individual who wants to learn trading in crypto. There are other students who do not take what they are studying to heart. Is it the type where you just memorize but don't know the context of what you know? You just went through a lesson, but later you will forget what you studied.

It's unlike that; once you come across something you discover, you can't get it out of your mind because you have the interest and passion to learn. I was also a year or more before I really had an understanding of reading chart trading, to be honest, and I'm not ashamed because at least I learned to understand it somehow, even now that I'm still studying it.
373  Local / Pilipinas / Re: When do you think is the next bull run will start, and why? on: October 19, 2023, 10:25:21 PM
This is related to my question on the thread created by @maslate. Since there's a lot of talk about a bull run, we might as well discuss it here. I would like to hear from the community about their predictions regarding when they think the bull run will start. Since the halving is approaching, and by looking at its historical patterns, it could be more likely next year. So, what do you all think, and what are your reasons for your guesses?

Next year is gonna be the 3rd halving na masasaksihan ko.
I don't call myselfa veteran din ha LOL!

374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can change lives on: October 19, 2023, 10:15:29 PM
bitcoin has the ability to turn people from rags to riches and riches to rags if they are not good at managing their investments. there are many cases where people experience losses when they invest in bitcoin because they tend to be impatient and seem to use bitcoin as a shortcut to getting rich. and therefore learning from their experience a person can change their life by investing in bitcoin only if they are patient and keep holding on to the assets they have, because those who keep holding will win in the end.

Bitcoin will certainly change someone's life, but whether those changes are positive or negative will largely depend on us, bitcoin has no power to decide that. After all, bitcoin is like any other investment, it can bring us wealth or it can make us lose everything, and it all depends on us. Many people have become rich by investing in gold, real estate and stocks, not just bitcoin. Don't forget today's top billionaires don't invest in bitcoin, it's all their talent, not gold or real estate that makes them rich.

Until now, Bitcoin has been able to provide an opportunity to anyone who believes in it, as long as each individual has the initiative to learn. Especially, we have an upcoming halving for Bitcoin, which will definitely increase its value in the next year.

So for the newbies who will enter the bitcoin space, hold it until the halving starts and enter the bull run. Investors will surely have a profit, depending on the amount they will buy to hold the bitcoin, even if at the beginning it is a lesson. and let him know this first while his Bitcoin is only in contact with his balance wallet, either in the electrum or his hardware wallet.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC treasure hunt on: October 19, 2023, 10:05:24 PM
I don't just believe in stories like that; instead of wasting time on such things, I think it's better for me to study more, especially in the crypto industry, to learn more. I can learn other things that I don't know yet.

If you look at it because it seems unrealistic, instead of thinking about whether it is true or not, just accumulate Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency depending on what you want, and at least you will be sure to get some savings in the future.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 19, 2023, 09:55:38 PM
There's a lot of talk that Elon Musk taking on huge loans to buy Twitter could backfire massively on him as Twitter keeps losing value. Essentially what Elon Musk did was to use up most of his assets in terms of stock like Tesla and SpaceX to try and secure assets for his twitter loan. He's now so tied up in this Twitter debt, that if something goes wrong it could trigger a domino of effects.

So he essentially already pledged tons of money to secure loans to buy Twitter, but his executive decisions lead to massive drops in value. Late last year he posted a lot of Tesla shares to avoid a margin call from banks that had loaned him to buy Twitter but this could potentially mean that if Tesla shares fall in price also, Musk could be losing his empire... Eventually, and potentially if things go wrong, losing his position as CEO in both Twitter as well as Tesla.

What are your thoughts on this? Is Musk about to lose it all?

In my personal thought about this, Elon Musk knows what he is doing, he might not become a billionaire if he is not good at thinking and strategizing. If in the eyes of others what he is doing is wrong, so be it, but at the end of the day, Elon Musk's plan will still exist and will be followed, not what others say.

If he did something, for sure he knows the risk that he will face, Musk is a billionaire man and at the same time he is also a risk taker, so such actions are not new to him to be honest. Trust me in the end he will solve it better.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: A dog that vomited and then ate the vomit again on: October 18, 2023, 06:52:54 AM
There are a couple of ways we can look at this.

First is the fact that the statements people make publicly does not necessarily reflect the reality or what they truly think. For example I have said many times over the past 9 years that I've known Bitcoin that many of these rich a-holes already own bitcoin and are constantly buying it. There is a high possibility that Buffet is among them.

Another way is that Buffet or his company did not invest in Bitcoin, the investment is in another business that deals with cryptocurrencies.
Let me put it this way, imagine a centralized altcoin exchange that lists a lot of shitcoins, does it matter that they are all garbage if the exchange is making a lot of money by offering a service?
That's how Buffet sees things. In other words even if he didn't like cryptocurrencies he knows there is a lot of money to be made from centralized crypto-related services.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what these people say or do, people should just stay away from anything centralized and stick to buying as much bitcoin as they can before it is too late Wink

I appreciate what you said; it's quite neutral and clear, and your opinion is, to be honest, good. We don't know what's actually on Buffett's mind, but one thing is clear to me: anything he says is bad for Bitcoin.

The crucial point is that we or we must have accumulated Bitcoin during its halving's next year or during the bull run. If Buffett's remarks irritate you, remember why he said them. Perhaps that isn't so difficult to grasp.
378  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Dollar vs. Bitcoin Clash: Experts Flex Opposing Views on: October 18, 2023, 06:41:55 AM
Maybe the dollar in the future can really disappear, but we just don't know when. Imagine that the dollar does not have a gold back-up but is still being lent by well-known countries around the world. While other countries have gold back-up.

Whereas the dollar no longer has a gold back-up, it is recognized worldwide as the world reserve currency. Now, when it comes to cryptocurrency, I doubt that the time will come when it will lose all its value. Why? Did he go to the future to be able to say that? What is it based on? He must have a strong basis to really believe him in that matter.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: October 18, 2023, 06:17:20 AM
People like those (me) who don't gamble for fun have this question to answer: how will you feel when you don't have money to stake a game that you predicted and better winning games you predicted played the way you predicted it and when you checked the winning was something that could have changed your life for ever if you didn't gambled again after such winning?

This question can be very tough to answer, but believe me, many people won't stop thinking of that if it happened to them, so I want to know your opinion about how you would feel if it happened to you.

If it happens to me, I can't stop thinking of it, but definitely one day I will stop thinking about it and see it as history or not yet, my time for big wins just like how it happened to me when I lost a bet that would have given me long-term smiles.

It's hard like that when you know you're going to win a game with your prediction, but you have no equal in the game. Then it came out that you thought you should win. It's probably a lot of regret and self-pity, that's for sure.

That's just the way it is. Just think that winning isn't for you; maybe it's just that it's easy to understand so you don't get stressed about that incident; that's all you can do is laugh. Because if you think about that, maybe your thinking will destroy that thing that shouldn't happen, right?
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 18, 2023, 06:04:41 AM
You have valid point. but there is something i would like to share. Do you know any kid who don't like game? Nope. Games are the most favorite entertainment for kids. And as a parents, you do something in front of your kids, he/she will start practicing the same thing and so for games. Now come to the point. If you are playing normal game for fun then no problem. But if you are playing game like gambling with money, then you can't hand over to them if they wish. So it is better not play any game in front of them that you don't want them to play. Only show them those game, what are good and entertaining to them with no problem. It is really need to have a healthy environment while kids are growing up
Limiting the information your kids can access to is no longer possible thanks to the internet, and even if you could set filters on your computers and smartphones there is no guarantee the computers of other kids will have the same filters.

So while we must not encourage kids to gamble, it is also important to not close our eyes, as we need to talk to them about gambling and the negative effects it could have in their lives if they begin to engage on this activity at such an early age.

In fact, you have a point in what you said: if there is no internet, there is no reason for children to be curious about online gambling, even if they only get a glimpse of it. It's just that in this day and age, it seems that the child is used to watching YouTube; maybe don't show the child if you are playing gambling online.

And if we think that it is possible for children to understand at least a little bit, let them understand at least what gambling causes when they do or try it, and forbid children from gambling.
