Last 2 night I signed up to an online bet called betking (become a KING) and I bet a virtual stake with 1700 naira to win 1,438,540.92 naira, but the game was lost and the bet that made it to lost was the last one I added, before I added the last one that made the winning to be this amount, I was having double thoughts like should I make the winning a random figure 1.5 million or I should stake it at 1.3? But out of greed I refused to bet the game at 1.3 and I added the one that lost the bet, what a pity?

According on your experience, it's true greed can cause a lost bet because you're looking to make huge amount of money and accept the higher risk.

But it doesn't mean if you're not greedy, you will not lose in gambling, after all gambling is pure of luck and the more you gamble, in the end you will lose.

When I converted 1700 naira to dollar, that is just $2.2. That is a small amount of money. You can continue to try your luck and see if you will win one day so far it is a kind of money that you can afford to lose. You do not have to do it often too because you do not gamble often.

No matter if you win or lose in that crazy odds bet, you will still lose because you played on a known scam casino that has a bad reputation in this forum. Even if the luck gets you and won that bet, the casino would rapture your luck by not paying you your money. First thing to do if I where you is to check the legitimacy of the casino first and deal with the greedyness that you have. The greedyness is fixable and I believe that anyone who learned their lesson on same kind of situation like this will learn.

It's not that greed can cause a bet, even without greed, people lose all the time. It's just that with greed, you actually want to bet more, which in turn leads to further possibilities of losing (and winning as well). In most cases or experiences shared, losses are more emphasized than winning, hence why the general perception of greed is that it can cause you to lose.

And tbf, seeing the original bet and the max win, seems like your chances of winning were pretty close to zilch, so I don't think there's anything to question about it really. And as others have pointed out, it's a scam casino, so if that lightens the load on your mind then might as well just think of it that way instead of blaming your greed.

We all know that we are only human beings who can never be separated from greed. That's why for me it's something normal. Here's the link to the site where the OP played the game https://betking.com/ it's not a casino based gambling site and I doubt if they have representative in this platform. It might just be a coincidence and brand name similarity. I checked the link in your post and it's obvious because even the domain is not same. The scammers domain is  .io while this one's domain is .com. It's commendable you raised the alarm thou.

But OP how could you pick 10 games in a single ticket with a stake of 1.7k to win over 1m?  that's obvious and pure greed. It wasn't your luck but that game is likely to cut by all indication.

Yeah, it was pure greed on his part and maybe he has learned his lesson already. But still though, regardless of the amount that he bet, when greed sets in, gonna be hard to control and most of the time we lost everything and then we look back as what to happen and then we have a lot of regrets and whats if.

Even if you win the bet more than once, it may be due to your good luck.  Winning 1,438,540.92 from 1700 naira is a big fortune.  But it is doubtful that you can withdraw them. Because this site has a very bad reputation in this forum and is also called a scam site. So try to withdraw them as soon as you can and move to another trusted site.  It will be beneficial for you. otherwise all your winnings can be worthless

I can relate. There was a time I was rolling dices and somehow managed to get a good enough profit, I thought I was having a lucky night and instead cashing out I decided to go ahead and try to get some more before dinner.
As expected, my lucky streak quickly ended in less than half of an hour and I ended up losing my profit and a few bucks to the dices. To be honest, I think this is something which most people who engage in gambling and betting have gone through and know exactly how it feels, though, I have always thought it is easier to get greedy on casino games rather than sport-betting, because the quicker pace of the former in comparison to the latter.

The answer for that is always true since greed cannot bring any good result since it can always kill our luck when excessive activities occurs. So we should place all things set and have proper discipline to follow our set plans so that we will not get any bad result just like what you experience. Since you already encounter that mistake for sure you learn a lot from it and you can avoid to commit the same mistake in future. Although its hard to defeat greed but over the time and thru experience for sure you can get out of it and maintain gambling activity at the right place.

Definitely true happens to me so many times, like continuing when I should stop and betting the favorite with a huge amount not thinking that things could go wrong, don't think it might not happen again to you just never know, one of the things I hate about gambling so many times your betting history repeats and you end up doing the same thing.
Greed in gambling just shows how human we are, we are prone to error because we are materialistic and we always want more.

I don't think greed had anything to do with you losing this bet. You bet a parlay and those period are the hardest bets to win. The odds of you winning go down with each game you add, but the amount of money you can win goes up. So it's risk reward to the highest degree. Why they are so har is you have to win every single game you picked, 1 wrong and it's game over.

If you decide to make this type of bet again, try making it with less picks(3-4).

Even if you win the bet more than once, it may be due to your good luck.  Winning 1,438,540.92 from 1700 naira is a big fortune.  But it is doubtful that you can withdraw them. Yes using this site is high risk so op should avoid this site.  If he is able to withdraw his winnings of about 1,438,540.92 naira which is equal to $1840 then it will be a sign of greater fortune for him than a gambling win. so he should withdraw them as soon as possible and if he is very addicted to gambling then choose a trusted site and gamble there.

There is a reason why you do not extend a parlay that long and add high odds games that you are quite uncertain of.
