I have once conceived such a thought but then it is a fallacy. The thing is you don't know when you will win and so staking high consistently is always a challenge and so a gambler prefers betting with a small amount and then using a larger amount occasionally or when he has a win and then when he loses he laments that if he had used small amount he would have won. The amount we use in gambling doesn't affect the result of a game. Nobody is watching anyone it is only our minds and experience that are tricking us into holding such beliefs. I have seen rich gamblers who are always consistent with the amount they use in gambling and they are winning so if it is a matter of stake I don't think such persons would be winning. This is so common among me and my friends. We bet on live games especially when our different teams are up against each other. Recently, I placed a bet with a friend during the recent game between Arsenal vs Liverpool game. Initially, Arsenal was leading by a goal but when Liverpool levelled the goal, I told a friend that Arsenal would still win the game but he said no that the game would either end in a deadlock or Liverpool would win the game because he is a diehard Liverpool fan. So, I told him lets place a bet. We placed a bet of $50 each. After the bet, we started feeling so emotional because we had something at stake. We lamented on every decisions made by the referee that weren't in our favour. Fortunately, I won the bet and he gave a bad review about the match that the referee was so biased and that was why Arsenal won. The thing is none of us hold grudges for long we have always moved on.
