Has anyone tried mining using the below cards?
1. ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1060 AMP Core Edition, 3GB, GDDR5, 192 bit 2. Inno3D GeForce GTX 1060 Twin X2, 3GB, GDDR5, 192 bit 3. Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Dual 3GB GDDR5 192bit
I'm currently interested in building a rig and would like some opinions.
Thanks!
Here's a chart that shows cost vs hashrate for different 3GB cards. https://www.pyramidreviews.com/cryptocorner/mining-gpu-speed-and-price-comparison/ethereum-mining-speed-gpu-comparison-for-gtx1060-3gb/Those 3 cards should mine about the same speed, but the Inno3d and Palit are usually way more expensive than the Zotac so they aren't as profitable to buy. If you are buying cards these days, chances are they will come with Hynix memory, so mining Ethash won't be as profitable as mining Equihash. Have any brands proven to be just X Memory So for example the single fan evga cards, are they all Samsung? How is the site linked accurate if memory varies within the same card model? Or is that not the case? On my very first GTX 1070 I also had Samsung memory but later on all came with Micron. I also had a 1060 and it also came with Micron. I think that the Samsung memory thing also only really matters for Dagger coins. Even with Samsung memory you might have bad luck in the silicon lottery.

Cryptonight algorithm even without modified BIOS requires 95-100 watt power consumption , I personally measured it at wall with a Lafayatte power meter. If you can modify the BIOS the power consumption will be even lower.
Now a natural question come to my mind, why the price of these cards doesn't decrease ? RX Vega is equal to 3x these cards in Cryptonight algorithm and about 500-600 USD one. The price should decrease and decrease a lot, no one would buy these anymore with the actual prices.
I can confirm these findings with modified BIOS - 6 RX570 eating roughly 530 Watt (entire rig measured at the wall) while it hashes around 4.3 kH. This is rock stable runs for days/weeks without issues. I could squeeze a bit more hash out or decrease consumption but right now I am happy with these stable settings.

hello everyone, does anyone has any experience using a https://mybtczwallet.org/ wallet? any comments, how reliable, stable is it? do you guys knows also of any other mobile app on android, other than MyBitcoinZ wallet, which will be soon switched off? this online wallet will be shut down (As I understood... on 28 Nov. ) Better not using it. Win wallet is working fine ( I have tested this ) https://github.com/bitcoinz-pod/bitcoinz-wallet/releasesI can confirm this, just use the GUI wallet which will always be maintained. If you have funds in a mybitcoinz wallet just wire them over to the other wallet.

This is really a nice feature - check your wallet every Monday and see that you received additional coin(s). Even with a fairly low amount of coins in the wallet the airdop can easily be equal to one day mining on a dedicated rig Keep it up!
|
|
|
I will install this on my rig during the week and provide my feedback if anything comes to my mind.
Btw i like the amount of ETH mined on the first page back in February:)
|
|
|
Thats a nice idea - just send a humble 333 BTCZ. Out of curiosity - how many people participated? I hope that a nice amount of coins was donated!

No one really mines ETH... There are way more profitable coins to mine. I dont see your correlation with GPU Mining Dying....
ETH has a net hash of roughly 100TH which would equal 3.3 Mio GPUs mining at 30 MH/s (RX 470/480 or RX 570/580). I suppose that most of these GPUS are in the team red camp. If ETH goes to PoS these GPUs will switch to something else but all Equihash coins are basically a bad choice.. high consumption and rubbish hash rate. Cryptonight would be another viable algorithm for them. It would also be interesting to know how many of these GPUs are commercial/farms and how many are operated by individuals. Both have different thresholds on when to stop mining. Over the course of the next 6 months I expect that everything stays relatively stable (similar to the period August-November)

Before i start buying parts, wanted to see if anyone has done this and how they've gotten on?
Purely a budget/hobby/1st rig project. Im fully aware im not gonna be pulling in £20/day with it.
Aiming for:
Z270 mobo - 3 cards in x16 and 3 on risers (trio rig style) Celeron cpu 4gb nvOC running from USB stick 1 750w or 850w PSU could be fine for 6 75w 1050Ti cards?
I will be aiming to mine 100% Equihash coins.
The 1050 Ti will not return much but it's easy to set up and stays very cool. I advice you to go for 850W PSU and also think about the 1060. You can only buy 3-4 first and extend to 6 later on. If you fill the rig with 1050 Ti and you want to add a card later on you will need to sell some of the cards probably with a small lose.
|
|
|
Disconnected the 1070ti from the riser and smell seems to have vanished. Odd because I have always had a card plugged into that riser. I guess next step is to put the 1070ti directly on the board and put th 1070 on the riser in question and see what happens. Or swap that riser out
How many pci raisers are you powering with one cable from the PSU? It could also be the card but thats definitely weird. New cards can have their own distinct smell "that new hardware smell" but that's a rather pleasant smell

I too missed the Bitcoin Cash peak point and now regretting, it's one of a kind opportunity and we missed it. I would buy Bitcoin and hold if I were you.
I sold my BCH super early at around 660$. Had to keep them for nearly 2 months as my average buy price was around 400$. But still 2 days later and it hit 2400$... It was just last time it dumped so fast and now it looks more stable. Wish I could buy again some for around 300$

My mining rig is running with the Nvidia driver version 384.xx..... Did anyone upgrade to version 388? Any speed changes (positive or negative)?
I would also like to know this - anyone tried the new drivers out and would like to share his/her experience?

So I use this app called zeroblock. I’ve been using it for years to monitor the real-time hashrate of btc. This morning I Check and to my amazement it’s showing 2 min block times and 135 exahash added to network. Need to wake up a bit more and do some research. If this is true it’s game over for us little folk. Anyone else noticing anything strange https://imgur.com/gallery/I5gUOBR Do I understand you correctly that this is related to BTC mining? Can a mod please move this topic in the appropriate section? To topic: Not really following the BTC difficulty/nethash.

You should add the pool's links ! and those added by crypt0r3x Good initiative Fixed Anyway i posted link to this post so i think it it not a good idea copy-paste all =) I also submitted my vote “@cryptopia. But will this help to get it listed or is it still required to pay for this?

I have been buying 1060's for their efficiency and lower price point. I might try to do a new rig soon with the 1070Ti's as I value power efficiency over raw hash rate after reading through these results.
Anyone manage to tweak their 1070 TI to the point of a 5 sols per watts efficiency level yet?
Not me - seems like the peak efficiency point is VERY VERY close to that 60% point I came up with (and others have also independently determined). And it seems to depend on the card type. My G1 Gaming is doing good but not that great unfortunately. If I see another good deal for a 1070 Ti I will try with another brand/model.

nVidia GTX 1060 3GB Hynix, stock settings bitcore sp2 mod - 12 MH/s ccminer 2.2.2 CUDA 9 - 10.1 MH/s
Bitcore mining is less stable compared to other PoW algorithms, crashes occur more often. Also consider that Bitcore has had a 10x run during the last 2 weeks and a correction is imminent.
Only thing that went to the moon is the nethash right now 😁 Probably it takes another 2 days until it gets back to a decent level.

use yiimp.eu as for pool use ccminer 2.2.2 with cuda 9 drivers or mod2 ccminer form SP for the best result ( can be found on yandex.ru) use -a bitcore simple
I'm not sure if the sp mod2 from the russian website is such a good idea. You can run it through a virus scanner and calculate the file hash but there is unfortunately no comparison to the original hash. ccminer 2.2.2 works like a charm even though the returns are somewhat disappointing

What happens today ?
Coins mined has been more than halved... Tested on suprnova and pool.space....
??
My returns are consistent not much changed since yesterday on space pool. I suggest to check your hardware and see if you machine had 100% uptime the last 24 hours.

Thats decent. I just snapped up 6 evga 1080ti SC for $647.59 each. I think I'm gonna grab at least 2 more. GPU mining is gaining steam again Wow that’s an awesome offer. I really hope to see something similar here, but most shops retrict every customer to 2 gpus Cheapest I have ever seen around here was for 770 bucks.

The global hashrate is slowly decreasing to a normal level. The sudden increase was not good for the coin as this also brings a lot of people who are in for a quick win. I mean BTCz was close to the hashrate of Zencash and surpassed Hush in terms of nethash. These coins are already much older and on more exchanges.
This just needs some time and healthy organic growth.

Hello all! What are your overclock settings and the miner you use? Thanks!
I would also be interested in that especially what miner and pool you guys made good experiences with. My returns were way below the theoretical values even over a couple of hours.
