They are predicting only a 14% jump in difficulty. Yes you can deff make profit at .938 btc for an S1.

According to my calculation these don't ROI

http://thegenesisblock.com/mining/a/4202e60ea7

Am I doing it wrong?
If you assume a slightly smaller difficulty rise (38%), (and perhaps oc it to 200 GH/s) you'll just reach ROI

ATM the problem is falling BTC value (or you can regard it as an opportunity to buy for less fiat notes)

Got my S1 today.  Some local shipping delay due to Aussie Post being as 'efficient' as they are.... but it finally arrived (ordered Monday 11/03, arrived Tuesday 18/03). It was well packaged and survived the trip intact.  Thanks Bitmain!
Had a bit of 'drama' when I entered my pool info, and then it stopped hashing.... after a few minutes of panic, I realized that there were some characters left from the previous entries in the 'copy & paste' of user credentials.  Fixed that and it's all good  Smiley

Does anyone know how to switch pools in a quick way or get into other cgminer internal settings

Cheers

Reload the daemon without rebooting the antminer S1:

/etc/init.d/cgminer reload
Thanks.  I tried this, but after a pause it comes back to the original pool settings.
Do you mean - change the pool settings in web gui, then ssh and reload the daemon?

Cheers

yep
Took me a while to try this, but it did not work for me (Got beeping sounds and loss of internet connection, eventually reset system).
I found that if the miner configuration is changed in the web gui, then clicking 'save & apply', this changes the pool setting without the need to SSH (it probably does the same).
Cheers

I'm cursed. Every time I add more hardware this happens. Angry Roll Eyes
Smiley I share the blame, just added an Antminer S1....

Has Slush's ever run longer than this block?

yes

Slush block # 21746 which was found on 28/02/2014 11:00 took 21:59:22... so no record broken yet...

Are price NA, or they accurate from here: http://drillbitsystem.com/order.html
It looks like that page needs a thorough update.

Following the launch of Antminer S2, may need to reconsider the pricing.

How long does it take for them to actually ship from china ??
I ordered mine yesterday when will they have shipped it ??
Thanks,
JT

I ordered 2 on Monday and 1 yesterday morning. They are both shipped and enroute via UPS. Delivery to NY by Friday.

Did you get tracking info ??
And did you also receive the confirmation email??

No email after paying. Only got the email today and just for one. But on the bitmain website, they are both shipped and have a ups tracking no

Thanks,
So i hope i will get tracking no today or tomorrow Smiley

Yeah I think they are probably really busy with all the increased orders the last week due to price drop
Ordered and paid on Tuesday (11/03).  Did not get any email after payment.  2 days later, the order status on the Bitmain website is "Paid Unshipped Valid".  Looks like they are not coping with the increased demand, which is regrettable as difficulty just increased again Sad

Messaged BITMAIN per the website, and received a quick reply that it was shipped today (13/03).  No tracking number yet, and the order status on the website is still unchanged.  The quick response is appreciated.
Edit: Now have the tracking number on the website (it is shown on the full order, not the small summary table - click 'view' on the summary and this shows the full order with any added shipping/tracking).  All looks good Smiley

Slush block #21811 seems to be stuck in the 'Processing....' stage on the stats page.  Too much number crunching after more than 12 hours? (the 2 following 'quickie blocks' are already done).

Cheers

On the Slush's Pool App on my phone it shows that it is a processed block. No worries there, it will show here in some time.

Is the reward outcome shown on the Pool App?

Edit:  I looked at the JSON format (link at the bottom of the Stats page), and the reward is shown there, but looks like there is some script problem in the 'normal' html representation. So it's a 'reporting problem' only....

373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Running AntMiner U1s with different frequencies on: March 13, 2014, 08:19:29 AM
Hello,
I have around 30 AntMiner u1s. During testing I found some don't give hardware errors at 1.8ghz and others at 2.0. Is it possible to run them at different frequencies on the same computer/miner software and if so how would I go about doing this? Thank you for your help
You should be able to have different settings per device, for example BFGMiner (see the readme.txt file) has the option
--set-device <arg>  Set default parameters on devices; eg, NFY:osc6_bits=50

You'll need to do some research and find the correct syntax for setting individual devices on Antminer U1.  Suggest that you read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=390929.0

Compare your proportion of shares to total share in this block to adjacent blocks that you mined  (20667/2512348484 for this block).  If this is significantly lower for this block, it would give you a clue what happened (you lost hashing or internet connection towards the end of this block, and were 'punished' by Slush's 'anti-hopping' method).  It could have been some internet connectivity problem to Slush's pool which is beyond your control.
My reward for this block was within the normal range.

Hey all,

I wanted to give a couple of these for gifts to start getting some family into the basics of mining...
I guess I'm looking for a price check on these guys and to see if anyone has any in stock.

If not, what would you recommend for a *cheap* alternative/replacement for these?
I'm thinking of retiring my BE's - do you want to buy some?

Slush pool down for anyone else? Huh

stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 (running a single Cube on a proxy)

Thanks!
Hi guys,, my miner is still saying slush's is down,, is it down for anyone else?
"stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333" (running avy 200)
Using "stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333" here (this is what http://support.bitcoin.cz/Knowledgebase/List recommends).  My miners did not experience any recent connectivity problems.  Using a few instances of bfgminer and cgminer.

10 minutes before that last round ended I lost a 18Gh miner (USB block eruptors on 49 port hub) of 150Gh But my reward dropped dramatically, is this the normal anti pool hopping function?

21778    2014-03-07 18:30:01    0:27:44    328834023    25558    0.00151151    289400    25.19039733    88 confirmations left

It seems Slush has lowered the constant - it used to drop much more than that before (or it was less than 10 min drop for you).

It very well may have been less then 10 minuets, loosing 70% of my reward for a 15% drop in hash power just before round ends doesn't seem right. Undecided
I actually had a 21% higher reward for Slush block #21778 than my proportional share.  Looks like there was some 'hiccup' in the pool, which "kicked" those with diminished connections (see recent posts on connection problems to Slush).  Those who were less impacted had a sudden/unjustified boost.

Cheers
