361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2014, 11:17:41 PM
Damn, thought that 3800 CNY wall might hold on Huobi. There's just no buyers right now, no volume either way. Are we just gonna keep drifting down? I'll keep holding my bags. Smiley
362  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crazy stock up over 25,000% on: July 10, 2014, 11:11:35 PM
Nothing too crazy for a penny stock. Stocks like these get pumped and dumped all the time. No volume. This will end in real tears for some people.
363  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 10, 2014, 11:10:18 PM
Me personally, I'd like to see another bidding war for the sigs..  That was fun but I guess we will have to wait and see who will throw their hat in the ring.  Signiture Campaigns are being used more and more I think, I'm glad that it is catching on.

I got started with campaigns right around the time when Ritz discontinued. I think I missed the last bidding war. Looking forward to the next one. Tongue

Looks like everyone is still waiting for a move from China. Cry Holding some bags from 623 BTC-E and 633 Bitfinex, nothing too heavy. Just hope we turn this around soon. Smiley
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (MRO) Speculation thread on: July 10, 2014, 07:05:24 PM
I doubt we'll get a full retrace of the pump. Not gonna lie, I was kinda glad to see the price come down. I sold to early. Tongue But can't complain with 2.5-3x gains in BTC. Now to get back in XMR...
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: July 10, 2014, 07:03:20 PM
Loving the major FUD against XMR right now. It could even succeed in pushing the price down futher.

Just the PERFECT springboard. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Getting my BTC ready.

Indeed, I've got lots of staggered bids in, and we're getting close. I don't mind bagholding for a little while. This coin is going places. Should see some very nice bounce. Smiley

Everyone has been updated on the official doc.

I was not added to the doc. Could you confirm? Also, just want to clarify that that is my SourceCoin / SRCC address, though I wrote SRC in my original post. Thanks. Smiley
368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: day trading - what's the catch? on: July 10, 2014, 04:47:18 AM
There is one catch, every day trader loose in long term.

Every one? I doubt it. From what I've heard, traders (like many other groups) tend to fall under a Pareto distribution of sorts, meaning that 80% lose, while 20% win. Similarly, 80% of one's profits tend to come from 20% of trades -- this, I know to be the case with me.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever reach $1000 dollars again? on: July 10, 2014, 04:45:43 AM
Everyone who wants Bitcoin to reach high values can do something for it.

I am not talking only about marketing. Try to offer some good or service and accept BTC.

I think 1000 are reachable again, but not in the very short term. We are in a sideways phase. Which is good for the bitcoin ecosystem to develop.

True, but bitcoin tends to surprise very much in both directions. When has it gone sideways for too long? I have a feeling we will rally soon. But if it's a fakeout and we can't get above $1k/in range to test ATH, we will probably go back to retest $340. Just my two cents. Smiley

I had a friend that majored in philosophy in college. Yeah he is now in hotel management. Wink He makes good money and all, but I don't think there's much in the way of jobs. You're not gonna be a professor -- a billion and one people want that job.

372  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. W on: July 02, 2014, 05:16:55 PM
I've been away from the internet the past couple weeks on vacation. Don't know if I will make the minimum. Can I just roll post forward to next period? Will I get kicked out?

Thanks in advance, Updown.bt. Smiley

Is Serbia in the SEPA zone? Maybe sell on Bitstamp or BTC-E and get a wire transfer to your bank account. Or maybe check out LocalBitcoins and see if there are any buyers to sell to for cash in person or bank transfer.
374  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2014, 01:54:28 AM
If we do reverse back down soon, that wall at $600 will turn out to have been very well placed. It's been there for like a day now and is almost a third eaten.
375  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: June 30, 2014, 01:53:16 AM
more and more people are realizing 10% interest a month on bitfinex will almost certainly make more than long term btc holding.

At 10%/month (what I've been making at finex), btc would have to be 6000 in 2 years.

That rate is not sustainable.

And I don't think you fully realized the amount of risk you have taken.

I don't think many of the lenders have. It's all good if we see another raging bull market, but if not, this could seriously all end in tears. Best of luck to all the lenders there.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2014, 01:52:00 AM
This a fakeout then? Looking kind of like a weak double top on Huobi. It's actually a slightly higher high with bear divergence on RSI.... not convinced where going up here. Maybe regroup in the $580s.... Smiley
377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: June 29, 2014, 05:50:41 AM
500 BTC selling wall at $600. Someone really wants to keep the Btc price cheap under $600. Damm whales playing with us.

Ask whale pushing down on Stamp, bid whale pushing up on BFX (although half the size). Either way, I think, one or the other is likely to be pulled (or quickly eaten) depending what Huobi does.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: USMS Silk Road Bitcoin Auction Winning Bid Price? on: June 29, 2014, 04:49:52 AM
Think about it: They auctioned off 30,000 BTC.

If anyone wanted to buy 30,000 BTC on an exchange in one go they would drive the price into the sky.

Likely those coins were purchased at a higher price than spot price.

It's not that simple. One could easily say:

"If anyone [USG] wanted to sell 30,000 BTC on an exchange in one go they would drive the price to $0"

This sort of logic gets us nowhere.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: June 29, 2014, 04:48:06 AM

This is one of my favorite things about Rafael. During the bubble last year, I emailed and asked how much new fiat was entering the exchanges. He actually gave me an honest answer. I knew right away the bubble wasn't even close to stopping.

This is the kind of information that is priceless.  And its nice that Bitfinex provides this type of personalized and honest (even if not politically correct) feedback and customer service.

Thats why they have been my exchange of choice and will continue to be.

How would you know if the answer was honest? Frankly, I think this sort of "customer service" is very odd and off-putting in the realm of commodity exchange.

Since Bitstamp routing is gone, definitely not my exchange of choice. Maybe if they recover some liquidity.

Sources say $789

False. My sources say sub-$550, and I know some pretty important people.  Roll Eyes Tongue
