363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Mining Still Profitable? Should YOU Build a Mining Rig? GPU Mining Dead? on: April 16, 2018, 03:15:48 AM
I already sold my rigs but it still profitable in my place, the sole reason I sold it is I already got my ROI and rumors about new GPU coming from Nvidia. sold it early before GPU price plummets for me is the best idea.
The GPU prices of the currently available GPUs may go down with the release of a new generation, but that won't change the performance of the cards you already have.  My 1080 Tis will still kick ass.  Grin

New gpu's that are capable of higher hash rates will drive up difficulty faster than it would be driven up if a specific network hash rate just stayed the same with current hardware.  Difficulty increase will result in older cards being less profitable to mine with.  That's not to say that I would be selling off my 1080ti's right now.  I don't see myself doing that in the near future.  I think that in the near future, I will sell the 1070ti's that I have though.  I'd like to have some capital to replace those with newer gen gpu's.

The other thing I'm thinking about is using the capital from the sale of my 1070ti's to buy Vega's.  We're not seeing anti-asic fork support from anyone at the moment other than those coins that are better mined with Vega's.

I'll never bet it all on one thing though ... I'll always have a mix of hardware for mining in addition to my direct investments into various coins.

For amd cards, claymore took most of algos sticked to nvidia like blake and some algos before. He also did Neoscrypt miner for amd videocards. For now, amd as universal as nvidia cards. So if ETH gpu mining dies, there are lot of algos, even excluding monero and ETH forks

If Ethereum and Monero are out of the mining business for graphic cards I only see the Zec as the most valuable option to mine after Ethereum and Monero and it is not looking as profitable as Ethereum or Monero at all.

I tried mining Musicoin with my 1060 3gb as in Windows 10 they can't mine ethereum anymore and profitability was just a bit less so I don't think there are a lot of other coins to mine except Zec and coins which are on Equihash algorithm like Bitcoin gold.

There is a bunch of shitcoins to mine. But they are not stable and you probably will geet nothing on it.

You can always trade them for btc or whatever else to hold.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 14, 2018, 01:00:44 AM

Windows 10 reserve a part of the 3 gb for Huh. So, with the dag size you are at limit.
Go back to win7 and you will mine for few other months.

Or use SMOS and it will be the best decision of your life.  Lol ... Honestly though ... I just switched two of my Win10 rigs to SMOS this week ... Switching over two more this weekend.  If SMOS supported Vega's, I would be switching them too.  I'm done with Microsoft for mining rigs.

8K eth is your bet for 2018 high?  Jesus, that's my dream ... Lol.  Not sure I'm that optimistic though.

btc 50k and eth 8k highest.

Not saying it isn't possible.  I'll be happy if we get close to ATH's in 2018.  I just wonder how much of the money that was put into crypto in December of 2017 will be cashed out as soon as those people get to a break even point (also wonder how much is still in and how many cashed out at a loss out of fear).  They will break even and get out ... I will 3X on what I bought in March.

367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 13, 2018, 10:39:42 PM
eth will die in 2018!

Lol ... I seriously doubt that.  Actually, I would bet everything I own on that one.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 13, 2018, 10:34:24 PM
next jump in few days, i wonder what kind fabricated coffin you trolls bought with the money you sold your coins low hehe

Hmm, getting closer to levels where no one believes in this shit anymore. After all, you need fresh FIAT to pump this shit, have you seen any?

pumpanddumpandpumpanddump, it's not going to work much longer.

whales want to buy it cheaper but soon it will rise again and will be a lot cause the whales know this price will not keep for longer.

next jump in few days, i wonder what kind fabricated coffin you trolls bought with the money you sold your coins low hehe

I'm feeling pretty good about things.  I haven't sold any mined coins since December.  Nor am I selling any of the btc, eth, or ltc that I bought last month.  Not in the near future anyway ... Unless something crazy positive happens, I'll just being waiting to see what the next couple of years brings.

analysts put eth around 2000 usd by december but i think they are wrong, it will rise a lot more, world has never been so uncertain and cryptos will be safe haven. 8000 usd eth highest for 2018 that is my bet.

8K eth is your bet for 2018 high?  Jesus, that's my dream ... Lol.  Not sure I'm that optimistic though.

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptonight V7 javascript miner on: April 13, 2018, 03:56:55 PM
Hi all!
I need moneros's new algorythm javascrit miner.
Does anybody know where can i find it? Or may be there are developers who can write it to me?

Or maybe you write it yourself.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 10, 2018, 10:50:17 PM
right now if you have the money then only buy coins, sale will end very soon, 10 April, i see these prices to last few more days and then price 2x

That would be nice.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 10, 2018, 08:22:01 PM
Turned off one of GPU's today.

UK is officially over for GPU mining unless the prices pick up by 3 fold.

Is the electricity so expensive that it leaves you with no profit? Do you understad that later your GPU will mine even less than now? I dont understand your position at all, it certainly looks a pose

If it is not profitable to mine, then it is better to buy the coins directly.

As opposed to building a new mining rig at the present time?  Yes, I am buying btc and eth like it's the sale of the century during these times.
374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Mining Farm? on: April 09, 2018, 04:42:41 PM
Mining is better than bitcoin if you have just free electricity or powerful rigs, Mining rig is a colloquial metaphor for a single computer system that performs the necessary computations for "mining". Mining was done with CPUs from normal desktop computers.  Graphics cards, or graphics processing units (GPUs), are more effective at mining than CPUs and as Bitcoin gained popularity, GPUs became dominant.  Eventually, hardware known as an ASIC, which stands for Application-Specific Integrated Circuit, was designed specifically for mining bitcoin. Mining is competitive and today can only be done profitably with the latest ASICs.  When using CPUs, GPUs, or even the older ASICs, the cost of energy consumption is greater than the revenue generated.

Well here's someone who doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about ... Lol  Grin Grin Grin

You only turned off one gpu?  Lol ... Why would you only turn one gpu off and keep the rest on?
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your Crytonight V7 hash rate? on: April 09, 2018, 12:04:15 PM
Damn one of my cards is dying out on this new algo, otherwise, the rest of my rx580 are hashing 880h/s with 1140/2200 900 voltage.

I noticed this today ... Kinda strange, not sure what's up with it.  Thread 4 and 5 are slightly lower, because that's the card with the dummy hdmi in it, but thread 12 is way lower than normal.  Not sure why that is.  Something else to note ... With the old version of XMR STAK, I never got much above 11,500 h/s and all cards were looking normal as far as individual hashrate.

I guess you have 12 GPUs (0-11 thread) and the thread 12 is your CPU...

That's what's going on.  Actually 6 gpu's.  Vega's are two threads per gpu.  That twelve thread is the cpu though.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 09, 2018, 03:10:55 AM
yes, i can agree - GPU mining consumes too much power. the future of crypto currency is in the coins that are ASIC resistant!
here are plenty of ASIC resistant coins to mine profitably with your GPUs. i hope it works out in 2018

Thanks for playing.  You are the weakest link.  GOODBYE!  Grin Grin Grin
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 09, 2018, 03:02:41 AM
Is Monero really even a "hope" though?  Maybe a hope in terms of others following in it's footsteps and fork to become ASIC resistant.  But to say Monero on it's own can take on all of the GPU hash power and still be profitable to the gpu miner, sounds a bit much.  Apparently ETN is on board with a fork, but don't you think it's going to take more than XMR and ETN to really "save" gpu mining?

It takes one "Army General" to create a revolution and with xmr that might be the beginning of one. Fingers crossed...

I like your new way of thinking, but I feel like I'm becoming the Metroid of Jan and Feb ... Lol.  My fingers are crossed too.  I don't know how much dev time has to be devoted to a fork, but some would rather commit that time to enhancing their project rather than forking to become asic resistant.  Not sure about zec, but eth with their plans to move to pos (if it really happens in the near future), why would they even be motivated to become asic resistant?  They will be asic resistant at 100% pos.

You trolls are lucky as i said countless of times, monero is the only hope hehe and it seems i was right all along about that too hehe

ethash and equihash are doomed concerning profitability and it will get worse as bitmain keeps adding asics to his fortress hehe

The rise of mining action is not directly affect the price skyrocket GPU (graphics processing unit). This is the basis of the graphics card, which makes the retailers to increase the scarcity of stock. Moreover, the cryptocurrency enthusiast who buys the device in bulk to build a capable miner's machine.

UMMMM ... Was that a question or a statement? LOL ... Yeah, we all know what a GPU is.
