network capacity in PB is ~ 19215358/basetarget. I don't find the original posting - I just took a note, but forgot to write down wether it's PB or PiB..oops. Anyway, the trend is clear: We're losing network capacity and/or miners. bitladen has, for the first time, dug some 100 coins during the last 24 hours, equal to >27% of the network. Looking at the last month he has some 1.85 - 2.2 PB online, and may be growing again. Obviously some company has dysfunctional controlling and a few idling Petabytes - Bluffdale ? Thanks, I used that to Google for it for more information. Unfortunately the person mentioned that figures did not explain anything about it, nor do I trust any words from that person either. That would be now: 19215358/2403189 = 7.995774781 PB Let's accept this for now. This is the entire network. How can we conclude to a certain miner? I don't know what let you write that. Some people DO (ignore) and some people just SAY, that is the difference. Some people ARE professionals (scientists, doctors) and some people SAY they are. *side note - I'm thinking of cancelling the bank asset, I don't have as much trading money as I used to, and I don't have the time to focus on trading right now. I will keep everyone updated as far as what my decision is, but as of right now I'm pretty sure I'm going to cancel it.* *another side note - I have something up for discussion right now in the core team, that if approved, will mean some big changes for BURST. I do have to thank all the Burst people for helping me get configured and mine burst.
I'm able to use Blago or Jminer of which the way my system is configured it prefers Jminer.
The new software helped a lot so thanks everyone.

I was mining with 2.3TB of plots for a week now. Today the pool stats show I have only .7 TB. Do the plot files get old.
Should I delete them then and create new fresh ones?
No, the plot files do not get old. The stats about your hard disk space is a guess. Tomorrow it might show you 7 TB ;-) It depends on your LUCK of being rewarded. |

Petabyte should be renamed 12 terabyte, to better reflect what it's backed by ...
Assets are not like a deposit account - like any stock, you get paid out for the amount you hold on the day they payout.
So you calculate everyone interest on the amount of 12Terabyte they hold every single day, then pay it out monthly? But sometimes pay people who don't own any 12Terabyte, have to assume that payout came out of someone elses interest. So in reality, you pay 12 terabyte holders a random gustimate of how much they kinda might of earned. Got it.

You cannot read! ;-) We pay out the mining result of the day to the asset holders of the day. Simple, right? Too simple to understand, right? There is no INTEREST, there is MINING RESULT. At the beginning I calculated it by hand, and prompt I paid IronTiga twice. If you are a programmer, you will certainly make a check by hand or other means, wouldn't you? I know, IronTiga needs money, ... Whats with the network calculation? Since you quote 12 Terabyte, somewhere you must have got that, or just dreamed of numbers? interests are payed to holders on the payment day. there is no daily accurate calculation. same as if you sell your stocks on day before the pay out the dividents. then you will also get no dividents. In the other way, if you buy one day before the payment day, you get the full interests for one month.
Feels like very relevant information to share. Or have you shared it with some and not all...? Then the risk is that someone holds just for two days, then dumping into the unknowingly buyers. Also, what reasons are there to be a holder a whole months? Transparency is important. ByteEnt is exactly the same. why didn't you pay for my holdings in august? i've chashed out on the 28.08.15, so you worked with my BIRST for 90,32% of the month. where is my pay of 90,32% from the intrest?
I guess, that it is the IronTiga asset script error, which of course does not exist ;-) i dont think this is a feature of the script..... all i know is, that the script looks who has atm assets and how much and divides the total amount you typ in payout to the holders depending on the assets they have and sent the coins. That's why the script does not work for me. My asset is MINING, so every day mining occurs. The script only looks on the payment days the balance and pays according to the holders at that day, not what they have achieved the days before. Besides the script version I got, had a offset of days. To get accumulated over a month, you had to run the script every day, accumulate it to the payment day and use the offset to correct the date. I choose the easier route, I wrote the accounting myself. Every months I add some features to it. I still start it on the first days of the month, and it calculates the payments of the previous month in UTC time. It prepares the text for the payout, but it does not payout automatically yet. I made a summery table to review and pay out with another start, if the table convinces me. My next step is to make sure, that I do not pay them twice, just because I ran the script a second time. As I recall from your post some pages back, you manually calculate the payout owed, and demanded a member paying you back after you over paid him. Funny how other people have no issues using 'tiga's script, but the favorite home of bot miners, who hides all his pool details, just can't make it work ..... Maybe you should shutdown your site until you figure out how this internet thing works ... Headache, headache, Twisting the words was always your domain. Either learn to read or just don't reply. Houston, we do not only have one major problem, we have several which will decide if this coin has any future. Despite daWallet's great program (with the celebrated bottom-up approach...) and practically no extra cost when mining, people are turning their machines off.  I think it's time for some radical changes to the core coin and the leadership along with a number of smaller changes. I will not suggest what the changes might consist of in detail, thats something for the devs, but I'm all ears to hear what they have planned for this crisis. The situation is very, very serious, and such situations may need change s unthinkable only two month ago. We will not need yet another nice tool (to use for the soon non-existent miners) from the software guys. We will need changes of a different magnitude. It is important that every single idea -- even if it's a re-launch, fork, total re-branding, fund-seeking methods, co-operation, etc.--, is welcomed to be heard. Whatever the changes might end up in, they necessarily do not have to be "bottom-up" or #democratic" (no, I'm not a Nazi...). We need direction, we need a leader or leaders with ideas, vision and read to make those so needed changes and stand up for them when the critic for this transition comes. And we as a community should back the ideas, even if they are more revolutionary than we can imagine. Why...? If nothing fundamental is done BURST will be dead in three month with no exchanges. As an educated man, you could start with the white paper! (Google Document!) You do not need to write it alone, just start, what should be included in, just headlines and we (the community) could add piece by piece. Some of us have marketing skills, some have technical skills, some have other (not even directly related to BURST) skills, ... Each of us can focus on the skill he has to add to a great document. Before we show this to others, we could check if we could get some acknowledgement of the (one/two) original developers. |

I just placed a buy back order for 46.5 Burst for 5k assets. thats for small holders that wants to cashout without pn.
Big holders please use pn. i cant place a complete buy back order for all issues assets, because i would kill with such an order the asset trading, also i need this burst for daytrading to earn the interests that i have to payout.
if the 5k order was executed, i will place one again.
But keep in mind, the asset is still the most profitablest investment in the burstcoin world!

I think it should be done with an asset transfer (maybe with Escrow, if they want), so that it does not influence the trades. |

elmit, if you are selling financial products in germany you need to fullfill the requirements for example of § 34f / § 34g. this has nothing to do with being a bank.
Mr Marco Feindler stated in his sales document:

there was no adapted buy order in august. please take a look at the asset orderbook...that is classic scam in my opinion.
I called him out myself, honestly I never trusted or liked the guy very much. Nonetheless I supported his project, now it seems he is thieving from everyone. Very upsetting and yet another scar on BURST. Honestly it is quite ridiculous. I say go after him if you can, if you're in the same country. He has yet to respond to my call out. Hear, hear, ... I think Bobafett does a lots more than you think for Burst. He is not hiding his identity, makes ads in Germany for Burst out of his own pocket. He is not crying for coins to be donated(, to be then later declared as stolen). His web site has an "Impressum" as the German law requires, with all details included. He said he will make a German web site, and he did it within reasonable time (days)! As more I read of who you like and not like, I get the feeling, that the missing coins have another drain hole. |
