As I said, Bitcoin is going down, as a sharp increase in unstable condition, I think will fall to $ 400-600 by the end of the year, further stabilization and, depending on the world economy a slight increase.

This is hilarious  Cheesy

I think it is prudent to waite to which level Zcash will settle and then buy some. I am pretty confident it will be valuable as well - it might even gain official currency status somewhere. The stength of Zcash is its community. Only the super pumped price prevents me from buying some.

For Monero, it is a currency for everyday people and probably chosen by drug dealers and drug addicts. Monero is a decent currency but I am afraid the Zcash has done things better. No, tech is not the most important thing and as we can see from the current system, Zcash type of solution with the brightest minds probably in the world + supposedly a lot of money backing is a way to success, but as I said, personally I would waite until the price settles somewhere and not to go all in. Buying just some in case of it will overtake Monero.

Somebody asked about the GUI, it will probably not be released any time soon (might be that the developers need to rebuy before the release).

You've written some complete twaddle over the years here but this is a complete new level of hypocritical, arrogant nonsense.

"everyday people....drug dealers and drug addicts".....you really do look down your nose at everyone don't you.

And after so much time telling everyone what an advocate of XMR you are, it turns out all it needed was a quick scan of the ZCash website for you to turn into their number one fan.  "The brightest minds...in the world"....your lack of resolve is matched only by your feeblemindedness.

You really are a wretched, elitist individual who labours under the illusion of being important.

Nothing elite about him LMAO, have you seen his youtube video?

I would like to see this

I can't wait!!

FF7 was my favorite, followed by FFX. FF11-14 all sucked, but I have a good feeling about this one. I loved the demo and I like everything I'm seeing so far. Can't wait!!

I am waiting for the Monero dump but apparently there is nobody willing to fill my bids anymore.  Cry

Ok good Smiley

Personally, if I were you I'd hold the XMR, put bids on BTC Wink

Lol @ Dafar (aka Mr. Monero) who divested into shitcoins and lost, now he's back full in on btc and just talking his book.  Tongue

So how's that dwindled BTC stash feeling now Dafar? Meanwhile I've been hodling the whole time, haven't lost a thing.  Grin

People in "[XMR] Monero Speculation" have been calling me a troll for saying bitcoin was getting ready to demolish the alt coins and for calling XMR's drawn out bear market, and over here I'm "Mr Monero"... lol.  I've been out for a while and barely lost anything on XMR. And even if I did, every time I lose any BTC I immediately buy it back to preserve my main stash.

So let me get this straight, you were FUDing bitcoin and calming that it was going to $450 while secretly buying and holding?? You didn't listen to your own advice? Riiightt  Cheesy

If true that's pretty scummy
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 27, 2016, 01:38:08 PM
What happened to TrueCryptonaire??

The signs were clear a month ago... BTC was on the verge of a rise and alts would clearly get demolished. Some folks still don't learn

Bitcoin is now Pump that have a certain amount of drain at a higher price in November will drop to 400-500$ and maybe less altcoins the rest will go to the mountain.

Btc will rape the altcoins in November..... Prepare for carnage if you are not in btc and holding some worthless alts when btc breaks the last ATH and STAYS up there!

BTC will dump in Nov - Dec to unkown.

You have no idea what you're talking about

2017 is looking to be a better year than 2016
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 27, 2016, 01:32:16 PM
I would like to take this opportunity to bring this hilarious post by Torque back up  Grin

Mr. Torque.... you've been quiet recently. What happened to deflating back to $450 and you calling me out on it?

YES I DID MOCK YOU AND I WON... YOU THINK I'M GOING TO FORGET YOUR ATTEMPT AT HUMILIATING ME??? HUH???

I don't f*** around boy

So zooming out to 1d on the chart, from 5/24, bitcoin is just looking like your typical PnD bubble that we've seen so many times before.  A blow off top, followed by long legs down.

Looks like it could eventually deflate all the way back to ~450.  Undecided

So Dafar, still mocking me thus far?

Quoting myself ftw.  Looks like we're just going to keep grinding down ~$10/week or so, until this bubble completely deflates.

Since there are no buyers, looks like the only thing that could put the floor in is the hashrate/mining cost, wherever that may lie.  Undecided

Why so violent Dafar? Are you still butthurt about a bad trade or something?

I'm a permabull hodler that, after 3 straight years of witnessing bitcoin NOT becoming the uber global phenom that everyone was going on about in 2013, I believe have earned the right to be a little bearish now and then.  I still have not witnessed ANY new major Average Joe money, nor major investment money, nor major retailer adoption happen in that time either.  The only thing I've seen in that time frame is complete apathy from the general public, and the occasional PnD bullshit that we're all so familiar with by now.

So fkn sue me bitch.  Also, let's see how the year finishes up before you start calling it a full on uptrend, eh? Bitcoin has steadily been losing some marketshare ground to shit
coins for 3 years now.

Where is Adam??

JJG says he talked to him a while back and Adam said he was hacked and locked out. Hasn't bothered to reclaim his account.

I wish he'd do something about it. I miss his absurd humor and drunken shenanigans.

Also, the poll desperately needs changing.

He needs to fix his account and come back. Adam... if you're reading this, COME BACK

What the heck? Volume of all coins went down massively on polo. Any conspiracy theories?

Everyone is waiting for the bitcoin pump. If you're all in alt coins right now then son... I have bad news

Can't believe I dropped 3.5 BTC into SP lol... I knew it was a joke but thought just maybe it could continue the hype momentum for a while and the interest gained via SP would help, but nope. My wallet was worth $1500 then and around $400 now. I don't even know if I should power down... if this crazy inflation keeps up by the 50th week each payment is gonna be worth pennies

When I was telling you all what would happen from the start of this thread? Ditto when I said what would happen to Ethereum. I don't understand how anyone could have bought SP and locked up their funds for 1 year time weighted average.

Well it is useless for you to power down, you might as well hold and hope it recovers someday meanwhile all your captured inflation ongoing. My balance is 4000+ SP and it is hardly worth powering, since I get about $15 per week now and declining.

I was here near the beginning of this thread too, and I agreed with you for the most part... I just decided to take a chance hoping this hype train would actually work out. I was hoping maybe this is something special, even though locking up your investment for 2 years sounds stupid. The interest rate does not help you retain your value at all.... it's like your SP is designed to suck out your actual money and re-distribute it to everyone else, while SP is advertised as a "savings" account that will grow your money. It grows your SP but not what it's actually worth.

At least you get $15/week... I would power down if I were you. $15 worth of BTC today could be worth $30 in a month.

Me on the other hand, I only have 1000 or so SP, which is less than $5/week... and next week it will be worth even less. So yeah, fuck it... I lost that money. I fell for the Steem scam

While Gemini charges lower fees than many of its competitors and offers big discounts to clients moving large volumes, it's not free. (As an aside, the supposed free flow of money is one of the great myths of the Bitcoin world, since most exchanges charge around 5 percent of the value to either buy or sell Bitcoin.)

That's the exchange's decision to charge a 5% fee, not a fault of bitcoin. Bitcoin is money, any fluctuations when converting one currency to another currency, like USD -> BTC, will have some variance and it's not the fault of bitcoin either. If everyone earned bitcoin, and all vendors accepted bitcoin the world would be a better place -- fact. (Assuming bitcoin has scaled to the point where it can handle all the transactions)

Ask yourself one very important question:
When the GUI is out, which reason do all those DNM users have to use BTC over XMR?

volatility

You never heard about hedging?

Not sure what you mean, if I hold 50XMR in my DNM wallet today I can buy 20 xtc pills and next week maybe only 10? That's not very convenient when on the other hand bitcoin is relatively stable

I also created an account in alphabay and dream marketplace, it seems like those DNM sites take BTC though mixers by default so they are hard to trace.. not sure why XMR is needed. But it does make me feel more at ease I guess.

Also, I think XMR will eventually recover but we are in for a bear market that will probably last a few months. I admire that you are the only person here who is still keeping up the bullish sentiment.

I think I was around from the start-mid start of this thread, I bought in before Steem reached $1 and pumped to $3.5 .... I took a chance hoping that maybe this was something special and would pay off before going belly up. I knew locking your investment for 2 years was a trap but took the chance anyway.

I agree though, might as well not power down. Although for you $15/week in BTC isn't terrible. It may be worth it when BTC rallys

Segwit is ready, preparing for launch!

The below linked article talks about November 15, 2016 as a tentative release date.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/10/18/bitcoin-core-segwit-ready/

0.13.1 will be release soon (1 to 2 weeks), that date is just one of the requirements that must be met before segwit activates.

RC1 will come out in a day or so oonce they go through the gitian process.

LN is coming around nicely where all the implementations have standardized Interoperability and Specifications for compatibility -
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/after-scaling-bitcoin-a-lightning-winter-release-is-now-within-reach-1476814566

You know none of this is going to matter anytime soon with ViaBTC + Ver and friends blocking SegWit and potentially hard forking with BU...

If Antpool joins ViaBTC and starts mining BU then you can say goodbye to this potential rally

I like the whole concept of Steem, but I can't see how price can ever hold up when you have people's steem power continually growing even when they are powering down on a weekly basis. It's like a perpetual money machine. How can that ever hold up over the long term??

The genius idea behind it is that there will be suckers that will keep buying Steem for unknown reasons (like speculation...yeah right, traders are idiots).

That's basically its whole economic system. I like many others called it from the start but I can't believe serious guys with PhDs and fund managers have fallen for this, it's the simplest thing ever and I've seen users here debating it like it is quantum physics.

You buy Steem, you are basically donating your money to bloggers or supporting whales powering down. That's all there is. You power it up, you still lose money, just 90% less.

Just keep your 100%.

Ya man, the Whitepaper was a good read...
And the July Pump sucked in a lot of traders and serious people...
Even sophisticated guys like this fund got totally sucked in... with no way out.

https://coinfund.io/

STEEM reminds me of the hyper-stake coins like HYP, HBN, TEK that are all basically worthless today...
And the traders are long gone since the Internal Market was basically abandoned (after they drained millions)...
SBD might still be tradeable but Polo plays games... and delays SBD transfers in random ways for hours.

And 24 hour activity is down to 3,000...
You adjust that for multiple accounts and bots, maybe you have 2,000 daily users... a drop in the bucket.

The fact that this is the #9 Alt...
Nosed out by an absurdly overpriced Augur at #8...
And the #10 Alt is 100% pure vaporware should be a wake up call...
But no, let's roll out the red carpet for IOTA and it's DAG clones.

Oh man having 75.3 btc and you are saying it with a sad face believe it.If i was holding that much then i would have feeled like one of the happiest man in the world.Or may be you have alot more in the past so thats not huge for you,so situations are different for different people.I have not even 0.75btc right now Tongue

Yes, I used to have a lot more that's why the sad face...

But I know 75 is a good amount for long term holdings. Right now it's worth about ~$50K, which isn't all that much money in America, certainly not enough to make me feel rich. Hopefully it will be worth more than $100K soon
