I have scanning numerous coin calendars sites and new coins and never DreamCoin anywhere. At least post it on a quick and easy high search calendar... unless you want it to be open to all but only communicated to a few. Now that the coin has people past that point they are hopeful they can dump coin for SATS... WAY TOO MANY COIN for anyone to be serious about this market. Regulation obviously is not the answer. Devs flipping coins then moving to another coin etc... etc... not many list full names... if not more than a handle. The problem with ALL of these CRAP - but profitable - Coin is the same issue people have with the fiat system - TRUST. All these 'communities' are nothing more than disorganized chaos struggling in s**t Pool of tech. Any coin coming to the front with Dev Names, Customer Service, Communication strategy in place? Not many, if any. Good luck to the pumpers and dumpers. It's what most of us are. We will hold some but at high risk. Risk analysis of all these crap coins is way past due. How about the community start getting behind one coin. Oh wait... that's what all coins claim to be. Every business or project requires planning and lots of it. Typically this includes sale or marketing channels and backend setup. It appears that the nature of the 200+ coins is to leap before you look. I don't like FIAT, but I also don't like the compartmental, no trustworthy nature of Crypto market. Everyone is a hater and non accountability.. To the trolls or dreamers with questions - I have already answered these questions about Ian's twitter and Zerocoin several times. I am (as in me) is implementing libzerocoin into Dreamcoin, It still has a lot of work to be done and Ian has a lot of work still to do for Zerocoin itself, he is obviously not working with us on Zerocoin, I had mentioned it would be cool if he would and that I would contact him, but of course, no reply and he has posted that on his twitter. Hope this clears things up, Zerocoin will be implemented, but as with anything great, it will take time as it isn't ready for primetime yet with the bugs and current issues it has. I have already begun working on the libzerocoin code, then it will be onto implementation if the code works out good and tests fine. Once again the dev covered this and is working on it... The real Zerocoin developer is not even finished with the code yet to create his coin release called "Zerocash". Both of these new coins, Dreamcoin and Libertycoin, came out of nowhere at the same time, both having the words "Zerocoin" in their announcement titles. I went investigating, wanting to invest in one of them if there was any hope of decent returns. I went to Dreamcoin first and discovered the coin dev has already made something like 4-5 coins in the past year, Timecoin, Hashcoin, Matrixcoin, etc. He's basically a serial coin cloner and his last coin was just released in April. Some people managed to contact the Zerocoin anonymity function creator himself on twitter (lots of different posts and info there): https://twitter.com/secparam/status/465971947386720256 Both coins are advertised "Zerocoin" while having absolutely no Zerocoin functionality, or even close to it. At best this is false advertising, at worst it's a scam. Next you have the problem that Zerocoin has EXTREMELY complex security vulnerabilities where you're basically required to have absolute trust in the coin creator or he can easily pull Asiacoin type frauds on you. You do not want ANY kind of Zerocoin functionality except possibly from the Zerocash dev himself, and even then, it's still sketchy. The only Zerocoin implementation that will ever be trusted is Zerocash, created by the Zerocoin dev, and even then, most security experts will still probably not trust it due to it's double spend security hazards. Security Warning: It is critical that the modulus N be generated properly and that the factors p, q and all related information be destroyed. These factors are not needed in the protocol. Moreover, any party who learns these factors will be able to double-spend zerocoins. Note however that knowledge of p, q does not jeopardize the anonymity of Zerocoin. The coin was launched with NO POOL so the dev could just sit there mining alone. I looked up his past coins and those seem to have similar circumstances. There was a big, false propaganda campaign against Shibecoin because the first 50 blocks were mined by a pool address that went to many different people. Some fat, 50 year old idiot made an article about it on google search claiming a pool address is the dev's address and claiming the Shibecoin dev got it all, when he didn't. This Dreamcoin has the first 115 full blocks probably going straight to the dev's pocket, not a pool, since the coin launched with no pool, and people give it a pass while calling Shibecoin a scam? Are you kidding me? Just an advice, as you have already launched wallet with great features, the promotion and awareness about should also start as soon as possible because in the market there are so many people who are just ready to copy paste new things and market as their own. There are many coin dev's out there who can't even code a coin, let alone build a scalable gaming platform If building gaming platforms was easy companies wouldn't be charging $10,000 a pop It would also be pretty easy to prove that we had the first At the end of the day, others just copying will never be innovative. We do intent to start promoting the Coin(O) Web Wallet after the next update which will make things a lot easier for non-crypto users to get into it. Your Coin(O) Community Team Okay thanks. |

Well thats awesome to wake up to so many good comments about Dreamcoin and seeing it listed on poloniex (Thanks busoni!) To everyone talking about Zerocoin. Libzerocoin code is implemented into Dreamcoin, The code is not fully ran in the system yet as there are only the beginning of some params coded into Dreamcoin itself. Libzerocoin and Zerocoin itself have a lot of work to be done still by its developers and others (I personally have found many bug fixes and updates for the libzerocoin code, which I will be releasing by next week at latest) The actual integration into Dreamcoin will take some more time and a lot of testing before just put up live. I have contacted Ian the Zerocoin dev to get some more input and get in contact with me to help speed up the development process. I completely 100% support anonymity in new cryptos and I will be adding Zerocoin to Dreamcoin (Yes it is basically an extension of the network). Unlike LibertyCoin, I know what I am doing, I will update the github in the coming weeks so more of you devs can review the code and see how the progress is coming along, updates to the current libzerocoin code will not affect Dreamcoin in a whole until it is completely integrated into the coin. I may be taking on some other devs to help with this as well to speed up the progress, once I get paid from my real world job. Love you all! Peace and Dreams! Zerocoin developer says on twitter about Dreamcoin/Libertycoin: @MikeTheKite From looking at the repo, they copied our libzerocoin library in and did almost nothing else. No idea if they claim otherwise You already got answer for this. Dev has answered this. |

Days ago the dev said it was fully implemented and working properly: To those asking about Zerocoin, Yes Zerocoin is in alpha testing still, yes it is not entirely complete, the code is in Dreamcoin and is setup properly I believe you misread a lot....Zerocoin is functional as is right now and has been tested in other coins and proved successful. It looks to be stable to me. A lot of people are starting to integrate Zerocoin now...There is a github for the source code of Zerocoin, so if you do find a problem, simply address it so it can be fixed. I hope this is just a case of the dev making a mistake or being misinformed and not trying to trick people. Then its my bad. But yeah it is a good news Well, not really. Either he was lying about it being functional and properly set up, or he made a mistake when implementing the zerocoin code. Hopefully it's the latter. By his behavior and pro-active reaction to these issues it seems like he was not lying, so the only option is the latter one. Everything will be fine just give him some time |
