361  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com G-Blade @ 615USD and A2 84M @ 10200 USD shipping Worldwide on: June 02, 2014, 08:48:15 AM
So you don't have any more A2 Mini in stock? I can't afford £6000 for an A2BOX yet.

if you order A2MINI, there is not a lot of production recently. so our stock is up and tight. A2BOX price has dropped, so it is better off ming a few weeks before you get new ones.

i am sure new ones won't start cheap, i might be wrong but i think it is logical guess

I'm also thinking about a second A2 Mini when the one I'll get today runs fine.
I'd rather have 2 or 3 Mini's instead of an A2 BOX, more flexible and better resellable in the future.

Is there a possibility to get hold of the single blades? And if so, what will they approximately cost?
362  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com G-Blade @ 615USD and A2 84M @ 10200 USD shipping Worldwide on: June 02, 2014, 05:00:40 AM
Yes that is it exactly. Not aluminium though, steel. And they have the power consumption right too - 360w

I wonder whether the power consumption will go down with a better PSU.
It seems the standard PSU runs at 100% of it's capacity, that's not very good for efficiency.

363  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com G-BLADE*2 bundel @ 1480 USD shipping Worldwide on: June 01, 2014, 05:27:42 PM
And unless magnets have started sticking to aluminium, the case is made of steel

I see many small Chinese factories producing A2 Mini's on AliBaba and some of them are using blank Aluminium cases.

We have probably something like this:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/LTC-litecoin-Miner-A2-30Mh-s_1879041900.html

Anyway, tomorrow I can see for myself what it looks like.
364  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com G-BLADE*2 bundel @ 1480 USD shipping Worldwide on: June 01, 2014, 08:33:06 AM
Well I've had my A2 for abut 36 hours now. It's been hashing nicely with only a handful of hardware errors at 1200Mhz. Power consumption is much higher than that stated on the MinerEU site. The site states about 250W, but in reality I'm seeing about 370W at 1200Mhz.

Looking inside the case and there is a 30A regulated 12V supply. Not the Gamezone 80+ type shown in the pictures. The power supply socket is also on the front with the other sockets. The case is also silver not black. The PSU in the case is connected to the ATX socket on the control board via a voltage converter.

Is the case anodized or is it blank aluminum?

Should be room for a decent PSU, but some cutting of the case may be required

Update for you guys: we have feed your comments regarding the PSU back to manufacture. we will udpate you with the lastest

Thank you MinerEU!  Grin

Swapped the case fan out today for a 120mm Corsair SP120, probably half the airflow but definitely less than half of the noise. No noticeable difference in either the temperature reading on the integral Raspberry Pi or the reported temperatures of the cores. Nice side effect of reducing the power consumption by almost 20W. Most of the noise now comes from the cheap fan on the cheap PSU, which incidentally produces a lot of the heat in the case - probably as a result of it being so inefficient. Gonna wait until everyone is in bed and then take an accurate reading of power consumption of the device. Hardware errors are running at about 1.54% at 1200Mhz.

Hopefully there is room enough to replace that cheap power-supply with a decent one.
I will probably replace the fan with a 120mm Scyte S-Flex.
When I get crazy enough I will just take out the 2 blades and build them in a decent box, and throw out the RPI.

I still have to wait until Monday, the box is already in Amsterdam, I will phone DPD to see if I can pick it up today myself.

Edit: DPD is not answering the phone during the weekends   Shocked

I still only see 1 out of 2 on it's way...

Maybe they put the 2 miners in one shipment?

It seems mine is now underway from Birmingham to Amsterdam, I still hope it will arrive tomorrow.

[
on that last note, my gridseeds and antminers hate my hsb3.0 ports, no worky at all

My Antminers LOVED my Anker 3.0 9-port hub with its 12V 5amp power supply... but the PI sure didn't like it!

All (10) of my gridseeds are running on the USB 2.0 hub that came as part of the 10-gridseed kit.  It is working beautifully with them.

A powered USB hub is not really necessary for the Gridseeds, they draw hardly any power from the USB port.
I have 20 of them running on 2x 10 port hubs, both not powered.

369  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 29, 2014, 05:18:24 AM

AVG: 40 watts and puts out the heat.

1.3mh/s

Using cgminer windows build from GAW site. Uptime about 1 1/2hr

Did you measure power taken from the wall outlet or is this pure the power taken by the device?
I can imagine that it will get rather hot with 40W and a hand sized heat-sink with a small fan.
There seem to be quite a lot of hardware errors, is this normal? or did you increase the clock too much?

I also like the CPU miner from Sandor111 (Siklon on github) for Gridseed the best.
It is very stable with auto frequency tuning per chip, and I get better hash-rates with it than with other miners.

I'm busy building my own miner from the ground up, this project is completely aimed at Windows and won't even run under Linux without modifications.
I hate to use Linux development tools, so this one builds completely under Visual Studio without third party libraries.

I think Zeus/GAW should release documentation for the protocol they use with all options and parameters you can set via USB.
This will enable developers to modify existing miners and create new/better ones especially targeted at the Zeus miners.
Maybe some of this can be found in the source code when they release it.

Source code is out there, slightly older fork of cgminer than what GS used, but it's there with compiled versions as well as binaries:

https://gawminers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202184744-cgminer-source-and-config

Aha thanks!

I didn't see that before.

Finally my A2 Mini is in transit, and will be delivered on Monday.
I still hope it will come before the weekend, 5 days for delivery to the Netherlands seems a bit long.
Unfortunately tomorrow is a holiday and the weekend is in between.
373  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com G-BLADE*2 bundel @ 1480 USD shipping Worldwide on: May 28, 2014, 07:36:46 AM
OK, mine is actually on a DPD van for delivery :-) According to the tracker the driver is currently stopped having his breakfast. Anyway will be here between 9:49 and 10:49. I know the guy delivering it so maybe a bit earlier for me

Nice to hear yours is on it's way!

My tracking number is finally working. I assume Interlink will pick up the parcel today.
Hopefully it will make it for delivery to the Netherlands this week.
Each day without mining is $40 less income.

When the Mini performs like advertised, I will consider purchasing a second one.
374  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com A2MINI 28M-270W @3900USD shipping Worldwide on: May 27, 2014, 05:03:32 PM
My tracking number now returns:

"Great news, we have your parcel and it's on its way to you"

But

"Your estimated delivery date is Saturday 31 May 2014"

Actually don't know why it even says Saturday. Unless they have shipped it with Saturday delivery option. Here's hoping it arrives at my local depot tomorrow and I'll just go get it

Mine shows nothing yet. Sad
Last Friday when I ordered they told me there was enough stock and they would ship on Tuesday.
Now I get the feeling that it is going to take much longer than expected.

Interlink said my parcel number is not correct  Shocked

No reply at all from minereu

I have the same problem, and inquired about it this morning.
Just got the following:

We have checked with them and interlink didn't pickup our parcel but updated their database on Friday.
We have complained to them and they can't send people on Monday as it is bank holiday, we have urgently asked them to come warehouse today.
Can you check it again later today night or tomorrow morning
376  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com A2MINI 28M-270W @3900USD shipping Worldwide on: May 26, 2014, 05:10:35 PM
Had shipment notification for mine, will arrive tomorrow  Grin Well done minereu

Still nothing from my order#1557. Ordered monday. Hope it got delivered today  Huh

My order shows still processing not completed. (A2mini ordered monday morning) Is there some problem or status not updated?

I ordered an A2 Mini last Friday morning and already got a shipment notification and status completed.

And what does the tracking number tell you ? That it's at London Bridge ?

At the moment it tells me nothing at all. I just have to be patient, today seems to be an holiday in the UK.
I expect that the package will be collected by Interlink tomorrow.

Probably won't get a reply until Tuesday now, they don't work weekends

Well lets hope for the best, it is always a bit scary when you hand over $4k to somebody you don't know.

Does anyone know if the GAW War Machines are the same rigs as the Zeus Lightnings? If so, does this mean a potential FW upgrade can get the war machines hashing at 72mH? The two units look the same. I know that zeus is not going to hit the advertised hashrates that they have for the rigs, despite them promising them, but its apparently due to a FW/tweaking issue.

Only GAW knows for sure if the War Machine is the same as the Zeus Lightning.
Maybe there are some cosmetic differences, but I guess the 4 blades are exactly the same.
There seems to be a big spread between the performance of the blades, so it is possible that GAW gets specially selected ones.
It would be nice to get 10 to 15% increase in hashrate with new firmware, but personally I believe this is wishful thinking.
