I've lurked in these forums for about 6 months, but today I decided to make an account, just to tell my GAWMiners story. I have no affiliation with GAW whatsoever. I started mining DOGE and moved on to other coins and have made a decent amount by speculating new coins and mining different algos, but wanted to get more scrypt hashing power.

So, about 2 weeks ago a brother of mine and I decided that we were going to pool our money and get a 27MHs machine from Zoomhash because I'd gotten a targeted 15% off coupon in my email. However, I decided to see if GAW would match that, so I shot them off an email and decided to wait for a bit.  Good thing I did,  because my brother ended up with some unexpected bills and had to drop out, but I decided that I still wanted to buy some miners.

I purchased 1 individual miner with the GAW25 code, and 6 others.  The NEXT DAY I got a response from GAW saying, "We can't do 15% off, but we could do 10% off".  Great, awesome, I'm going to do that, and I'll get a Black Widow since that means less wires and stuff to manage.  But I didn't want to get stuck with the Furys as well, so I wanted to cancel the order.

The ticket I submitted didn't get answered yesterday (wasn't too surprised with that), so I called in and talked to Amanda. She got everything cancelled...but then I realized that I forgot to tell her to leave that miner I purchased with the GAW25 code (figured at that price it was worth it).  Sadly, that code could only be used once per account, and she couldn't put it back on.  So, instead of saying "tough titties, you shouldn't have told me to cancel everything if you didn't want me to cancel everything", she says "How about if I give you $25 store credit?".  Ok, that works for me.

I hang up and go to buy 1 black widow and 1 fury.  Wait...now the 10% off code they gave me won't work.  So, I call back and talk to someone else.  He tells me "Ya, that code is good on your account for 24 hours, and we can't put it back on once it's expired. It's a one time thing".  Now I'm thinking "Shit...I just screwed myself"  But then he says "What were you going to purchase?".  I tell him 1 BW and 1 Fury. He says, "Ok, then I'll give you store credit for $216.99, which is 10% of that price".

Wow. Thanks GAW. You guys didn't have to do any of those things since none of them were your fault, but you did.

Do you want me to only buy ASICs from you? Because that's how you get me to only buy ASICs from you.

Just wanted to give my input as well. I want to commend Josh/Joe/Rami/Luke/Bill/Thomas and the rest of the GAW team for providing top notch service. They worked with me on all my issues and was able to resolve and compensate for all the issues. Keep it up GAW.
Interesting!!

GAW made good on their promise and delivered a day early. My hosted A2 is hashing now. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK JOSH AND COMPANY.

Time to get scrypt busting.

Yes they came through for me as well. I had two issues that irritated me a bit, but they did keep their promise. It's hard to find folks that do keep their word these days. I will be going back for more. Thank you..

GAW's doing a good job.  I'm pretty confident that they'll work to resolve any issues that might arise.  Confident enough that I've paid with Bitcoin the last two orders.  I got into Scrypt ASICs a little too early so my $$ spent per mhash is high but has dropped by half as I average down with new equipment from GAW.  Judging by the date & time on emails support looks to be working 24/7.  I've bought from 3 vendors before GAW and now have and received three deliveries from GAW and am anticipating another with the pre-order I placed yesterday.

Next for me needs to be a bigger miner from GAW as I don't want to use up all the space I have left with small miners.

Does anyone know if the GAW War Machines are the same rigs as the Zeus Lightnings? If so, does this mean a potential FW upgrade can get the war machines hashing at 72mH? The two units look the same. I know that zeus is not going to hit the advertised hashrates that they have for the rigs, despite them promising them, but its apparently due to a FW/tweaking issue.

I don't know if they are exactly the same as Zeus or not but I got an email from GAWMiners saying that they will be releasing a firmware upgrade that could increase hash speed by maybe 10 to 15%.

Only GAW knows for sure if the War Machine is the same as the Zeus Lightning.
Maybe there are some cosmetic differences, but I guess the 4 blades are exactly the same.
There seems to be a big spread between the performance of the blades, so it is possible that GAW gets specially selected ones.
It would be nice to get 10 to 15% increase in hashrate with new firmware, but personally I believe this is wishful thinking.

Did they post any ETA on when they would be updating the firmware ?

No date but Zeus has indicated that it would be shortly after shipping.  Zeus also mentioned there could be a few firmware updates as they work on it.
We'll know soon enough. I'm anticipating better than advertised hash rates just from pushing the frequency a bit.  Fingers crossed.  It's also luck of the draw - I have two unmodified Gridseeds from GAW that are fast  940MHz and 945MHz. Others not so fast like 870MHz.  They all do way better than advertised though.

That is during autotune so they got pushed past what they could do before backing down and settling in at those clock speeds.

Hey All!

Many of you already know (and many don't!) that I've launched the official GAW Affiliate Program.  Grin

I'm looking for anyone and everyone who's willing to promote our GAWesome brand.

The payouts are from 3-5% depending on monthly sales revenues:

  • Brand new accounts earn a 3% commission.
  • Accounts with 50k in monthly sales earn 4%.
  • Accounts with 100k in monthly sales earn 5%.

For the next 48 hours, all manually approved signups will receive an additional 1% commission on top of the regular rates (so 4-6% instead).

You may sign up at:

https://affiliate.gawminers.com

Once you are approved, you will have access to our marketing banners and your affiliate link.

Our average conversion rate fluctuates from 2-5% and average sale is about $1,000.

If your website is in the tech industry, your traffic will convert well. If you're in the bitcoin/altcoin industry specifically (blogs, pools, forums, etc) - you will be blown away by your results.  Cool

Thank you all and I look forward to working with you!

I would like to thanks gaw always sort out any issues very promptly. They have never let me down yet few hiccups but not everything is in their control. I could buy these direct from other companies in the uk to save on import but none give anything like the level of service gaw give, I highly recommend.

Customer service A+++

Many thanks to the gaw staff and josh garza himself

I'm still waiting for a response from GAW support for an order change. They replied with a solution to my initial question, to which I agreed, but no action has been taken. I've followed-up twice since then with no response. Any suggestion on what I can do from here is much appreciated. Thank you.

They are a bit slow with the emails recently they said they have had huge amounts of traffic. You are probably best giving them a call, they are not allowed to change order but can cancel and you can re-order what you wanted instead.

I am currently trying to throw together a group buy for GAW. Stay tuned for more info. I will of course start a new thread if I am able to get something put together.
