what is the goal of the 0.02 bot?
When the spread is wide, you put a pair of straddle orders as far apart as you can while still being top of the order book. When people come in with small market orders you take their money then recycle it back around keeping you market neutral. If the price stays range bound for a while and the spread remains, you will might make money after commissions. The best time to execute is after a big move when humans haven't had a chance to close up the spread. Clear as mud?

how could a strengthening of a nations currency be a bad thing? it certainly would be good for the ppl as they'd have more purchasing power and could travel the world with impunity.
When a country is generally uncompetitive. Its much easier for a politician to advocate debasing the currency, then run on a campaign of wage cuts for everyone, economically it's the same thing. So why do the one that makes everyone more upset. You can't print your way to prosperity, but you can print your way to full employment.

It looks like we're in a wedge, looking only in the very short term. Following this trend we should be due for a breakout Monday.
No way, we're a few hours at most from breaking out of this 5 day pattern imho. The question mark is what happens at ~$150

Wah? You mean that was actually a legit fat finger trade?
The numbers don't add up for a size/price switcheroo (300 @ $200) as the reverse is even worse.
Would the real fat finger please stand up!
Now I'm thinking someone got their account hacked, maybe the hacker realized he couldn't withdraw the coin so just spiked the price for the lulz.

Why would stops/limits show up in a price chart? that makes no sense if nothing got filled at that price. Has to be a glitch in the api engine.

No one has mentioned it's the last day of the tax year here in the UK. Big holders may be selling to maximise capital gains tax allowance. Let's see if buyers regain control tomorrow.

Given the recent increase in television/internet show coverage. I'm thinking it would be good to have an official resource for bitcoin b-roll.
The goal being to make it super easy for news teams to put together segments on bitcoin.
At present people are using the weusecoins sources, but then often cutting to screenshots of silk road or some such. Or worse just panning over a massive bitcoin logo.
Things like 'bitcoin accepted here' in a shop window. A close up of a smartphone transaction being sent. etc. etc.
Currently resources are a bit awkward to find and could be missed by a news journalist on a deadline, clicking from bitcoin.org -> bitcoin wiki -> Marketing -> Promotional Graphics.
Perhaps it gets it's own link from bitcoin.org.
It might be something that a foundation grant would cover. Or we could kick in bounties in return for footage.
What do people think? Any ideas for interesting b-roll footage?
