It is only 1 year old, so that means 2 years left. So if anything does happen, your covered. I wasn't saying its unreliable; its probably very reliable. Also, went on newegg/tiger, no one talked about this problem. So your wrong, happened to ONE person as far as I know. how many people do you think measure their efficiency and post it on newegg for any psu? jonnyguru is the only one place that matters to me for rating psus, but if all or most others say something different, I'd believe them. got other reviews? Ok, seriously, go away. If your not going to buy the thing stop fucking around in my thread. This is a for sale part of the forums, not a hardware part.

If you knew anything about PSU's you would know that every company/item has a few bad eggs. I could find horror stories from Silverstone, Corsair, and other highly rated PSU's. so what? Ultra are one of the best brands you can buy. again, so? is this consistent with the other quote in theme? Just because someone's car broke down out of 10000 cars made doesn't mean you shouldn't buy the car.
Please stop thread crapping if you have nothing to contribute. the results were repeated, it wasn't a bad unit, it's all the units performing badly. like how its not just 1 SUV that gets bad mileage, they all do. I have "ew " to contribute... It is only 1 year old, so that means 2 years left. So if anything does happen, your covered. Also, went on newegg/tiger, no one talked about this problem. So your wrong, happened to ONE person as far as I know. This GPU ran tri SLI 580's and quad sli 295's. Its a powerful beast.

The problem is the plastic gets hot when you run these cards 24/7, add that to the motion of the plastic makes it want to move outwards. When it expands outward, the plastic hits parts of the gpu, break, and cools down.
? .... yeah the blades expanded, hit the GPU, and BAM! ,,, You . Calm the fuck down, I was just explaining what happened. So shut the fuck up you immature twit Explain that genius, Hint #1 : 2 mm of clearance. Hint #2 : The blades DO NOT GET WARM !!! Well then there just made out of shit materials that cant handle being spun at 3000RPM for 24 hours a day

Well, folks, I am speechless. Utterly speechless. Good thing I only have to type right now, for the Ultra X4 has not met its 80 Plus certification. Quite frankly, it's not even close to meeting it. Bronze is supposed to see a full power efficiency result of 82%, and we just barely got that on test four. This is absurd. I have never had a unit fail to meet its own 80 Plus numbers by this wide a margin before. Look! Test five even had it drop out of the 80 Plus standard certification level! The Ultra X4 1200 watt model started off with a bang and ended with a resounding thud. Yes, it did the whole one thousand two hundred watts of rated power. But it was hardly without issue. First, we saw efficiency numbers so embarrassing they left me wondering how this unit could have ever passed 80 Plus standard, let alone Bronze. Then, due to a fair sized gap between the 12V maximum capacity and the total rated capacity, we saw some not so good voltage stability from the 3.3V and 5V rails due to the need to max them out to get up to full power. Last but not least, we have a unit that was only too happy to exceed ripple specs at 12V for several seconds before the overtemp protection was able to kick in and shut the unit down. There are a few good points about this unit, like the overshoot transient protection, the ripple suppression, and the 12V regulation, but for the most part it's all overwhelmed by sheer blandness. This unit gets a 5 [of 10] for being so... well... so-so when everything is taken into consideration. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=174ew. Are you running cards side by side without a gap? The fan will sometimes hit the card next to it in this configuration, which could easily lead to broken fan blades.
Who talked about broken fan blades ? I see way too much dirt. Oil + dirt is a very bad combination for a fan.
You see dirt they are relatively dust free. anyway, I was not going to oil the blades. The only notable thing I don't understand yet is why is the fan stuck this close to the base. I caught this fan not spinning, I touched it a bit and it went to 3000+ rpm. I will be looking for an official sapphire responce. They'd be better to send replacement fan. The problem is the plastic gets hot when you run these cards 24/7, add that to the centripetal motion of the plastic makes it want to move outwards. When it expands outward, the plastic hits parts of the gpu, break, and cools down.

Yes there is, it's called water cooling.
Cool douche... Way to add an intellectual response to the conversation. It is a good response, and is the best way to cool these cards.
