361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto get inspiration about developing Bitcoins? on: April 09, 2020, 09:50:26 AM
Necessity is the mother of invention, when one has a dare passion for humanity and how they could be free atlest from a brutal financial system that rewards only the strong and the rich, then there is bound to be some critical brain work. For instance, I invested heavily in stock market in 2007 just before returning for my HND, till date the stock are dead and have left that for another generation to inherit. And they are bank shares which always post good profit yearly but never reflect in the price of their shares. This can make one think the system is a fraud and find a way out of the slavery.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: April 09, 2020, 09:34:24 AM
Fake SMS has always have their method and sadly that is still been used today. And the not well informed are falling for this old fraudulent trick. In some nations any customized SMS not directly from the bank are quickly identified and blocked as such they use a regular phone number or other name to send this SMS, so customers can always be aware.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Bitcoin Cash SV split on: April 09, 2020, 05:50:54 AM
When bsv forked off from bch, it didn’t add replay protection. What this means is that, any transaction created in one blockchain, would be mirrored in the order. In order to prevent this from constantly happening, you’ll have to split the bsv from the bch before you can use it properly.

This is even more technical, how does a layman split this himself? what I understand then was that some wallet and exchanges supported this split while some were supporting BCHABC.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: All Fiat-Replacement crypto will fail: what is wrong with this line of thinking? on: April 08, 2020, 04:45:15 AM
The government is helpless about this, people don't trust the government any longer because in any financial crisis, they simply just print more money to give to the rich to get richer while the poor and the weak get poorer and weaker. Cryptocurrency is a way of the people taking back their destiny.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: April 08, 2020, 04:38:16 AM
This is a great way to go, we need to care for the downtrodden since this current financial system is more of imprisonment than a freedom to the weak and the poor. Well done for your care of humanity.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin antifragile? on: April 08, 2020, 04:35:07 AM
Bitcoin certainly has withstood this global financial turmoil caused by the novel covid-19 against predictions. The theorem about bitcoin been anti-fragile may as well be a complex academic discuss. We have seem bitcoin die may times and quickly always resurrect which is what has always give people a great confidence.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are You Happy For Participate bounty in this Year 2020 on: April 07, 2020, 08:32:07 PM
I do enjoy signature campaign, nevertheless I am not satisfied with this year bounty participation because some of the project I participated on either had to pause or just having a low key activities because of the pandemic. I hope to be well rewarded after the global crisis. although  projects ought to be resistance to this crisis.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL ETHEREUM MAKE THE DESIRED IMPACT THIS 2020? on: April 07, 2020, 08:27:50 PM
What do you mean by bitcoin most potent competitor? there is nothing like that, they are of different technology and serving different purpose. Bitcoin is actually not i the class of ethereum, bitcoin has no visible competitor. Where is Monero, Litecoin and others who were aiming to outperform bitcoin? Ethereum is good thanks to its smart-contract technology but many projects have that today infact EOS is a major competitor to ETH.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The One Coin That Can Compete with Bitcoin and Ethereum on: April 04, 2020, 08:55:07 AM
No coin can compete with bitcoin, not even contemplating outperforming bitcoin. Cardano is good but still belong to an altcoin category. I really doubt if it can defeat eth in the market.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received coins or tokens that you forgot that you promoted on: April 03, 2020, 04:41:20 AM
I have been receiving payment from past campaigns I can't even remember anymore. Unfortunately these tokens are worthless this raise the concern the purposes of new projects not following road maps after collecting fund from the public.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people here would choose bitcoin as their form of payment? on: April 03, 2020, 04:33:39 AM
I do demand my brother always send fund via bitcoin and not through the traditional system which carries too high transaction charges and use the official exchange rate set by the bank, which is not actually the good exchange rate. I hate remittance through the bank.
373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 03, 2020, 03:55:59 AM
The effect of Covid-19 is very much devastating. Many states in my country are on lock-down, my country is rich in crude oil and natural resources but because of the mismanagement, people are extremely poor and we have no savings as a a nation and our currenecy has devalued itself because of over reliance o importation. So in the real sense of this situation, more persons in my country are going to die of hunger than the pandemic itself. We pray God show mercy to end this siege soon.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc going to 2k or 3k or 7k or 9k on: April 03, 2020, 03:47:08 AM
The world current situation is very uncertain, but with the halving that we will be seeing next month, I expect a major price rally because people are going to be greedy with their bitcoin. people may eventually choose bitcoin trade to stock market because of the volatility which brings better profit than the current ailing stock market.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: April 02, 2020, 04:35:29 AM
People are dying in thousands and economy of nations are shutting down, people been laid off their job. It's only those who are not hungry that will inject good money into the cryptocurreny market. I don't yet know where the fund is coming from to push up the market since the world are in turmoil, I hope this virus should have die down by mid-April.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy is dying but market prices are going up? on: April 02, 2020, 04:11:49 AM
I want to believe its because of President Donald Trump's stimulus package to the people and the economy, so there is some hope that people are not going to starve to death after all, so people are trading to make money.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Overview Of Corona Virus Impact on Finance and the Economy I've Seen So Far on: April 02, 2020, 04:00:12 AM
I have voiced my concern over the over dependent on China for manufacture and supply, and regrettably my nation is foolishly sold out to China instead of decentralizing her importation and producing theirs too. This would have spelled doom for my country should China had remained locked down for many months without a possible end game. Every continent should some designated manufacturing hub.
378  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet question on: April 02, 2020, 03:51:58 AM
Sorry for the wallet mishap, I hope you get access to it soon. I was told you can carry out offline transaction on Samourai wallet, which you will need internet later for the confirmation. A lot of persons have praises for electrum wallet, sometimes judging it as the best for mobile wallet and it's Segwit enabled. Blockchain wallet is said to always have bug, I am a witness to some friends wallet been hacked off their blockchain wallet, they had use SMS option as a 2FA, well they should have used google authentication.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIDAO token, what do you think? on: April 01, 2020, 06:34:03 PM
A friend said we should research about this, I said in my heart another ICO at this moment? Never knew this was powered by Binance. I will research about this and hope it's not going to be one of those coin that will moon and would later dump on holders.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Best Cryptocurrency to buy in 2020 on: April 01, 2020, 11:47:16 AM
I won't invest in any altcoin that is compiled by any article. People should be wise enough to make their due diligence we have seen some project close down because of lack of fund for continuous development and we have seen some altcoins that refuse to pick in price despite bitcoin performance and market growth before this virus chaos.
