The fact that these idiotic things continue to exist is perplexing. They are heavy, loud, stinky, noisy. They scatter dust, dry shit, and mold spores into the air. They are inefficient.  They are retarded. A broom does the job, is cheaper, lighter, quiter, smells nicer, and can be used for flying, too.

They are actually excellent when used as intended (To blow leafs).

The problems arise when they are used for other stuff.
The problems arise when you blow leaves around with leaf blowers. As I already pointed out, they are a noisy, polluting, inefficient technology. You cannot use them to blow leaves without also blowing all sorts of shit with them. A rake does the job, and is a much more appropriate technology for the task of moving leaves around.

I had an encounter this morning. A short Mexican guy started blowing the leaves and the dust in my direction.

I was about to start screaming at him: 'Get the fuck away from me you moron!'. Then I realized it wouldn't be politically correct.

I moved to the left corner of the small area and he gave me finger up as he blew 2-3 leaves on the right side.

Then he motioned me to get to the other side and I obliged.

He blew a few more leaves on the left side and a lot of dust in my face, gave me one more finger up like :"You cool gringo" and left me coughing.

It was even worse than having ' conversation' with myrkul.

What a fucked up country we live in.

Fucked up, yes, but reading your story makes me wonder which of you two was more responsible for fucking it up a little bit more on that day...

Here is a picture I took two years ago, proving that my frustration with leaf blowers is at least that old:

Note the mandatory hearing and breathing protection, and dust and dried shit being stirred up in the air, along with exhaust from the stinky, inefficient two-stroke engine.

Depends whom you are talking to. An economist, a merchant, a nerd, an anarchist, a socialist, a cop, a farmer, a teenager, a grandmother, a gangster, a monk, or any combination of the above will obviously have their own unique perspective and interests.

I like what Paysius did, for example - they have a pitch for merchants, and a pitch for "customers." Go check it out.
367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bradley Manning on: June 03, 2013, 08:02:46 PM
This thread is so amusing that I am considering unignoring the SEC agent. In the mean time, my response to OP: Bradley Manning is a true American hero.

Pozdrav svima,

Sve u krug.
369  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Probable malicious site: bitcoin-address.org on: June 03, 2013, 11:15:25 AM
How come there is no citi-bank.com where I would be asked to log in?
are you serious?
Again, none of them use TLD with "citi" and "bank" in its name. Otherwise they wouldn't have to try all the tricks to spoof or mask the actual link. Trademarking "bitcoin" would make phishing harder and less effective, as it opens the perpetrators to additional legal risk.
370  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: predicting difficulty on: June 02, 2013, 09:19:11 PM
So much bullshit... The only way to predict the difficulty is to have detailed information about each of the ASIC vendors' order books, about their production pipeline, and near-term plans. Here include the self-mining ASIC manufacturers.

Nobody knows all this, therefore nobody can predict the difficulty.  The best you can get is to look at the price trend, and expect similar trend in difficulty to follow within 4-8 weeks. Of course you have to account for technology leaps like the one we are going through right now.
371  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICs are Over priced on: June 01, 2013, 07:43:46 PM
Absolutely overpriced. Paying BTC2.5 for ~300 MH/s or even BTC50 for ~10 GH/s does not make sense. You can get 300 MH/s GPU equivalent for ~BTC1. Sure, the power cost is higher, but this is not the main factor at these initial prices of hardware. Also, GPUs at least have some resale value if you decide to get out. Overall, migrating to the new technology does not make sense yet, as market is far from equilibrium.

I am glad to see not everyone sees things my way, because that is exactly what makes my decision meaningful. Good luck to you all. I will wait for the right opportunity to get some ASICs.
372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Failed to recieve my bitcoins on: June 01, 2013, 06:11:09 PM
Glad to see it all worked out. I sent a message to MagicalTux asking to either update or redirect bitcoins.com - hopefully he acts fast to avoid more frustration for newcomers.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL - how long before the next bubble to 1000$ and beyond? on: June 01, 2013, 03:01:05 AM
It all depends.
374  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Probable malicious site: bitcoin-address.org on: June 01, 2013, 02:12:29 AM
I wonder how many newcomers step in dogshit like this on their first step, and turn away for good. It would be much better for everyone if bitcoin was trademarked by any entity that is at least more trustworthy than the average person on this planet.
Very wrong: even if it was trademarked, scam sites could still pop-up, and since they are likely already illegal anyway, they wouldn't care about the trademark and do it anyway.

It's like DRM: legit business would be hurt, while criminals would be unaffected.

How come there is no citi-bank.com where I would be asked to log in?
375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Failed to recieve my bitcoins on: May 31, 2013, 11:15:19 PM
If you are in a hurry, you can use dumpprivkey from the console to export the key associated with your receiving address, then import this to a blockchain.info wallet (never used it, but I assume it lets you import keys).
376  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Accusations Database (Searchable DB) on: May 31, 2013, 02:48:57 PM
No need for any of this. I just searched for "ian bakewell" in a private browser session, on a public LTE IP, and still the first page of results clearly shows that he is being called a scammer by many.
377  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Probable malicious site: bitcoin-address.org on: May 31, 2013, 02:43:17 PM

I know Tibanne started working on this, but not sure how far they got.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: How many of you did actually read Satoshi's paper? on: May 31, 2013, 05:00:32 AM
Try reading it. Surprisingly, there is very little technical detail, only broad strokes. Most of Bitcoin has been invented and developed by Satoshi and many others, after the paper was published.
379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Failed to recieve my bitcoins on: May 31, 2013, 04:49:12 AM
I would use more reliable services like MtGox, CampBX, Coinbase, or a trusted seller on localbitcoins.
Read the thread. He used bitinstant, and he received the coins without any problems. He even received free foot massage here from their representative. The problem is that he was using an outdated client which is likely out of sync with the network, so it doesn't show the transaction. Ultimately, the problem is that bitcoins.com, apparently operated by one of your "reliable" services (tibanne, that is mtgox) is irresponsibly abandoning their website and leaving it with outdated information.

Pozdrav narode.

Možete li me malo uputiti

Hvala .
