361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: March 18, 2024, 11:54:20 PM

It's self discipline, without it we will never be successful in what whatever we are doing, especially that involves cash in this manner. We have set a strategy to follow, that includes bankroll management, but if we lose control along the way, we will end up refiling our bankroll from time to time, and worst is if we could not control ourselves to get overly aggressive betting a huge amount of money we cannot afford to lose anymore.
Own rules, ethics, these are some of the most difficult to live by rules and principles because, you’re the sole enforced and punisher. If you don’t get to follow it, it’s no one’s concern but, a lot of persons and yourself could suffer from its violation that’s what it is like with own rules and ethics. It entails having a strong will and discipline to understand that, these does exists or were formed as a matter of necessity to save own self from possible destruction which could emerge from having a bad gambling habit or addiction problems.

No need going aggressively on your stakes and the market which you’re betting on. For all we know, the house often wins and your going aggressive on your gambling is you just pushing yourself to a luck locked situation.

As far as I am concerned gambling is a harmful activity so it is better to refrain from publicizing gambling. Not everyone likes gambling even good people are criticized in the society. Harm can be prevented if the gambler can associate himself and play for fun but no effect of gambling is observed on anyone. But there are many gamblers who can't follow their own rules when gambling leads them to worse. Avoid addiction to get financial benefits.
As far as you’re concerned, gambling is harmful and yet you promote them?
Just how do you promote a harmful sphere to the a society that you wish and hope to be stable someday?

Like you said, as far as you’re concerned.

Well, obviously the society doesn’t take to one man’s concern, a whole lot is been put into consideration but yeah, it’s not uncommon that several persons and the society have seen gambling for a vice. Based on how some addicts and irresponsible gamblers have misused the industry.

The negative aspect to gambling is a reflection of a gambler's irresponsible act while gambling. Gambling isn’t the problem but, the gambler is.

It looks like another low scoring week. I think it would be the lowest since the start of the season? Someone help me confirm. Highest I've seen so far is 28. I'm glad I didn't user my WC to onboard spurs assets only to see them get thumped hard by Fulham.

A terrible GW for sure. How I managed to free hit and get the some of the GWs best and left them right there on the bench. Every single player on my bench right now have got more points than my entire 7 on field players to have been played combined. What rubbish! I tried to avoid this, tried to hit my bench boost chip but, it seems the FPL is played by one chip per GW.
First time I got Reguilon on my team, he gets a red card just few minutes into the game. It’s just wow what am seeing and I’m just waiting on the blank GW to just pass!
Spurs couldn’t even manage a goal. I had high hopes on them but, Fulham was just so much for Spurs to try and contend.

Senate bill seeks ban on pro-gambling online content
I can understand the reason behind the prohibition of any form of gambling promotion and that is in regards to the number of audience it could accord the industry and the internet does not discriminate on age grade, have hot zero control of the persons that would be fed this information hence, this becomes an attempt to limit or put some form of control on the public whom would be receiving this information.

Still, it doesn’t make a lot of sense as these are taxed industry and not allowing any form of internet publicity is directly hampering the growth of the industry which you’re taxing.
All that tough doesn’t stop humans from gambling and indirectly, these materials will go out.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 16, 2024, 04:22:33 PM
Your experience will help you out to control your emotions. It is important that when you gamble, you still have the control to your emotion because if not, worse things will come to you as you gamble.

You'll never know how much you'll be able to bet and lose when you're not on your right mind and you're out of control of your emotion. With that, too many gamblers fall to their own emotions because it seems unreasonable for them to control it when they can't think correctly.
Emotions is as much a bad energy to trading as it is to gambling. It’s the one means to cloud your judgement and directs your thoughts towards not making a clear decision based on the available statistics but rather, take drastic steps that would include betting on high risk stake events. This is basically based on you having to chase the money, the losses you’ve made and not making any careful consideration.

One needs to be clear in mind and thoughts to be able to take clear and precise decision based on available statistics. The statistics points the way and backed by a thought you have on the game.
366  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: March 16, 2024, 04:13:42 PM
Its wise and practical to hide your gambling from everyone except a close friend. Very smart. Lets be kind to those in difficult situations, yet society hates gambling. Its a vice and a problem that wont go away soon.
The society we find ourselves have successfully painted gambling to be a vice, while it might be meaningful not to have all our dealings known to the public, it shouldn’t be banked on the notion that the gambling is a menace to society. Let’s not forget, this is a space of freewill and it’s even hot age restrictions but still, you’re responsible for your own gambling habits.

While we might consider it unwise to make known to public notice our gambling habits, you obviously gets exposed in the event of a big win and in events of Drake’s huge losses, those ain’t no secrete and he doesn’t care. This makes me to believe it’s a place in time where we find ourselves and even with that knowledge, I still don’t subscribe to letting your gambling habits exposed to the public.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've projected my holding after this bull run. what's yours? on: March 16, 2024, 04:03:07 PM
I've come to let you all know that I'm doing so well and believe me, I may regret why I didn't embrace this development earlier on but yet I'm not late to it because I'm doing so well with it grateful potentials right now.

Me, firstly I'll secure my capital, withdraw 90% of my interests, reserve 45% for DCA to accumulate more bitcoin during the Dip, 10% to boost my alternative source of income and will have 25% to solve my needs and then I'll have the remaining 10% to execute a water project for community services because in my area, the poor masses surfers a lot to get reach to water and in life, water seems to be life of its own and I feel a lot of pity for the poor masses that can't even afford to get water freely as common and essential as it could be,
Oh wow! You’ve already budget how to spend almost your entire investment. That seems like a plan but, something you seem to forget though, you don’t get to take just profit in your having to sell your bitcoin. Though you might be selling at a higher price than you bought, even if you ain’t selling all of your coin and just a portion of your portfolio, you ain’t taking just profit. Your hodlings is gradually diminishing and it could zero out. The best is, use as you will when the need is most necessary and know that you need to continue accumulating. Don’t take profit just because you want to and don’t go on projects just because your in a bullrun and your seeing your coin at a higher price.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Minimalism in Bitcoin would slow your accumulation process on: March 16, 2024, 03:42:11 PM
How much profit we get from our investment is directly proportional to how much Bitcoin we have in our portfolio and so if you're interested in making more profit, there is no two ways about it, you've got to figure out ways to accumulate more Bitcoin, especially when it's bearish.

The advantage is that you don't necessarily have to wait for years before meeting your goal. Those who bought in bulk when it was bearish have probably reached their goal at the current $72k while those who bought a minimal amount even years back when Bitcoin was around $20k will be in profit but wouldn't have a  profit anywhere close to someone that starched a good amount of Bitcoin at let's say $40k
You’ve just recounted what is well known. Of course you can’t hope to benefit from where you didn’t sow or hope to reap more than you’ve put in, that can’t be the case. Your investment has a direct proportionality with your hodlings and even in the event of a dump, you still get that direct proportional decrease in the valuation of your asset.

While your might have referred to $72k as the goal, I’ll say the goal is very much far from it. It’s as far as the Satoshi goes because at the moment, the least Satoshi haven’t got a dollar value. Every single Satoshi needs to have some real value on it to be able to purchase some life used community amongst others in the digital sphere.

But, goals can be set by every individual though but, there isn’t a fixed price for real hodlers.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: March 15, 2024, 10:30:17 PM
When I first came across this thread, I felt they were married but this is just too people dating and nothing more. These ain’t couples as, couples are by bonds and vows one, there wouldn’t have been any need for a split but a judicious use of the win for family plans and financing.

Money remains the one thing that could come between two people, even in the best of friendships, relationships and even marriage. Worst still, a 3 months relationship. That’s practically nothing and doesn’t mean much as it’s been proven by this issue of a win of this magnitude. Couples wouldn’t do this!
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 15, 2024, 09:24:32 PM
One thing that is there to understand is that, these are two things that can’t do without themselves in a persons life on your journey to be and even as a successful person. You need to practice both never equally.
First, savings is the first step to any form of investment. Investment requires a definite capital and to be able to have a well enough capital that could prove enough for certain investment, you must first of all save for the activity.

Now savings doesn’t guarantee wealth, it gives you a vague sense of wealth and could be lost by a single misfortune. You could relate certain misfortune to investments as well but, while one might be from bad decision making which could be evaded, the case for savings is usually accidental and you don’t really get to predict that.

Savings diminishes but, investment doesn’t. It grows with time and could as well enrich your savings! That’s what makes it preferable.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: Reckless financial decision ? on: March 15, 2024, 08:20:17 PM
Do you think a celebrity who turns down a multi-million dollar deal solely because the organization doesn't allow him smoking weed is a reckless financial decision?
I saw this highlight pop up sometime on the web with a musician haven’t abandoned to deal on a show for not allowing him to smoke weed.
Well, what’s there to understand is, this individual isn’t someone that is going through a tough time and will have far more opportunity to increase his wealth in less than a month. All it takes is to plan another show, a tour or release a song and keep getting money through the various monetized media his got.

It might seem like a pretty bad choice but, for someone to be able to let loose such a huge deal for an outlaw on smoking, you should be talking about an addiction problem and what this drug aid this one individual in archiving on the stage. When this isn’t the case, then you might not get to enjoy the show.

To me it’s a person’s specific decision and he made his. For me, am drug free and with that, it seems it’s not a very good decision. He’s lost a small opportunity to impact lives, gain more fan base and have others benefit on his team.
372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 15, 2024, 07:51:50 PM
A person who gambles after losing and will continue to gamble hard to recover his loss is called a gambling addict. Because those who use gambling only for fun will never care about their losses and will not run to recover their losses. there are many who use gambling for income and when they lose they panic to recover as well as profit and continue gambling. and many people suffer from it
I don’t very much agree with your definition of who is a gambling addict. Addiction to me speaks more of an individual who finds it overwhelmingly difficult to back out on an activity. Not like you’re being pressured by anyone or anything but, you just find it difficult to go without engaging in such activity. That person to me is an addict.

When a gambler gambles hard either as a means to recovery or not, that doesn’t make up for addiction. It only means you’ve got a bad gambling habit and that in itself could lead to addiction problems.

Chasing your losses is one of the easiest ways to loss as a gambler, you instantly let your emotions cloud your judgement which leads to wrong predictions and in turn, losses.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 15, 2024, 07:42:36 PM

@AYOBA, how much money have you bet for Arsenal? so that you consider all Arsenal opponents easy, and so you consider Manchester City and Liverpool are weak teams? I'm really curious, did you really make that prediction with the money at bet, or is it just nonsense or just an empty prediction without actually daring to bet your money on Arsenal because I think, the statement is a very exaggerated statement because anyway, Arsenal also basically still does not have a big chance to get the trophy because Manchester City and Arsenal are also still very good up to this moment. But, if for example you really bet on Arsenal getting the trophy this season then it's good to build your own confidence.
I see the user speaking of the capacity of Arsenal but, that’s only liable to certain teams and I speak of teams that are average teams, not the likes of Manchester City or Liverpool. As it is, the league is very much open and anything could come off it, it could either turn the ways of Liverpool, Manchester City or stay Arsenal and it takes just a single game for this change to happen.
I wouldn’t be so sure on betting on Arsenal to be the best title contenders although, I like to entertain the idea that they would be and would do all there possible best to archive this but, it’s obstacle filled.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 13, 2024, 11:44:24 PM
"Luxury" items instead are things which are very expensive and normally bought for "status" reasons. They can marginally add to your comfort but are normally not productivity-related. One could argue that if you work in a five-star-hotel while travelling can increase your productivity because of all its amenities, but usually a "high quality" service like a three/four star hotel will bring you the same benefits.
You’ve defined luxury just the way it makes sense. Luxury doesn’t mean it’s hot to serve a purpose, the most one could get out of a luxury item is the status. If you’re putting it to so much use because of its efficiency, that ain’t luxury, that’s just you having to purchase a certain item because of its best fit.
Just for about everything, there are alternatives and with the proper research, you could always find a befitting alternative to aid you in achieving that exact purpose but, for one seeking luxury, you just don’t care. You just go for what enhances your status and puts you in the spotlight always. It’s never about the use although luxurious items can serve a number of purposes like, having to transfer value in ways that might be reconverted later in the future but, wen it’s purpose is more about status, then we can call it luxury.
375  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The leaders of tomorrow. on: March 13, 2024, 10:47:18 PM
Truths be told OP, you can’t come into the future with the idea that, maturity is defined by some age. We might classify them as kids but, we’ve got real smart kids now than we had years a decade ago. Why is that?

That’s actually because, kids of this time built on what have been improved to become a better version of us when we were their age. I’ve seen some really smart kids and as well, I’ve seen the dumb ones too.
Hence having to define maturity by some age isn’t the best means to do it but, I can’t blame them those who put this form of categorization out to group things and how it affects certain parts of our lives.

If the future belongs to the children, let’s not bore them or mess it up with our outdated ideas on how to approach or run the society. Maybe that’s why Bitcoin is still a hard to accept innovation for most part of our world and people of our world till today.

I think that Palmer is the best transfer made in the Premier League this year. Is there anyone who won't use free hit this week? I need to add Watkins and Salah to my team in some way and I don't know how I can do this. Even though KDB has damaged me quite much so far I think that he still has a potential to make me win a lot of points.

This season, he has already equalled Bellingham's goal contribution stats in a weaker squad and a more tough league for his age. Real Madrid's PR department is just exceptional. Get 15 goals and 10 assists, and you're already a candidate for the Ballon d'Or.

Palmer has the potential of becoming the next Salah, he just need a good coach and few world class players around him.
Come on now man,
Can’t you just take a little glory without bringing these guys into some kind of headlocks. I mean, I might like Palmer and what his been doing for Chelsea but, I can never put him side by side to J. Bellingham. Bellingham is such a dependable player, more than I can say for Palmer. I wouldn’t go into this though but, it’s just got to be said.

So yeah, Palmer happens to be a good transfer and am sure looking to use my free chip this GW. I think not doing that would be an error and some means to be out completely in the competition.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 13, 2024, 10:11:59 PM
Arsenal faces some tough challenges in their upcoming matches, especially their next match against Chelsea on the 16th, which has been postponed, followed by a match against Manchester City.

Facing Manchester City won't be easy for Arsenal, and losing is not an option. Winning this match would boost their confidence for the remaining eight matches. Currently, Arsenal leads the table standings with 64 points requiring serious resilience, coordination, and encouragement from manager Mikel Arteta to succeed.
Chelsea ain’t no tough opponent for Arsenal, not with the quality of play Arsenal has been delivering lately, Chelsea ain’t no match for that and I don’t expect them to trouble Arsenal in there fixtures. Speak of Manchester City and there you could sense some real challenge. These would be the match decider as, they both stand title contenders and can’t afford to loose point. Sharing points could be the likely result and with Pep wouldn’t be up for that with his team so close to the top. What better way to secure that title by beating Arsenal. It would be some game.

Calling them like I see them, probably some poor soul even without Palmer yesterday   Grin

Son was probably the best pick, especially for those not free hitting GW29 while Palmer is just incredible value for money and he will not leave my team unless some injurie happens.
Lol…
You know after I saw Palmer boost some points yesterday, it was a hard yo accept having him on the bench. Like, I look at my team and everyone is below average points except for Son and there is Palmer, right on the bench and his hit 13 points for a GW that is proving to be one of the worst.
Still, I couldn’t see anyone to have substituted for Palmer, given the fixture Chelsea had Newcastle, Chelsea’s performance this season and the runs of Newcastle, compared to other players I let be on the pitch and the fixture they had. Couldn’t take out Bowen, nor Saka, Foden and definitely not Son.
going forward, Watkins, Haaland or everyone’s failed Choice Solanke, nope, but Palmer did it, an assist and a goal.  This catch up game is such a long thing!

I don't want to sound nasty but your first post is about getting help from one of us who is active. None of us would believe in you unless you provide proof of your problem.
For real, are you being serious right now!

Maybe you don’t believe the user but I do and am sure a lot more other users do as you can see with the responses that precedes yours. I don’t know how am sounding right now but, am just surprised you would say so about a user who is only asking for directives.
It doesn’t matter if this is the user’s first post. For all I care, it could be that, the user’s enquiries on possible places to get help brought this user here and you wouldn’t expect the user to go about creating some activity rather than trying to achieve his or her purpose.

Maybe, after sorting this out, this user would find some more use of this space. It’s cool being curious on your first activity on the forum, so long as it’s directive and not expecting anyone to give you the keys to their wallet, password, loans and other form of financial aids.

I think Kucoin have done the right thing in updating you guys on the changes that is to come @OP but, they would do the most to ensure easy processing of these transactions. Perhaps a swap and then have it sent out in some other altcoin. Am guessing that wouldn’t be the case but, you could research on CEX that uses this protocol as, I can’t tell, am not a big fan of altcoins but, your welcome to seek what solution you could find, it’s what the forum is about.
