Hello fellow bitcoin users, I am starting a new website called http://www.btcgiraffe.com and would like to spread the word. Were based in the U.S and are a 100% legit service. We require verification for all our transfers. We trade in Paypal, Cash and other methods. Visit the website for more info. Why no SSL? Why the poor website design? Why a gmail address? Why no exact company address? etc. And what is the business registration number? Why can't I find it at http://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/BusinessEntityCriteriaExt.doScam. EDIT: The company is actually registered LLC: http://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/BusinessEntityDetail.do?quitButtonDestination=BusinessEntityResults&nameTyp=ENT&entityId2=20151062313&srchTyp=ENTITY&fileId=20151062313&masterFileId=20151062313Trademark: http://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/TradeMarkDetail.do?quitButtonDestination=BusinessEntityResults&nameTyp=TMSM&entityId2=20151062410&srchTyp=MISC&masterFileId=20151062410Name BTC Giraffe Status Good Standing Formation date 01/26/2015 ID number 20151062313 Form Limited Liability Company Periodic report month January Jurisdiction Colorado Term of duration Perpetual Principal office street address 1121 13th St, Suite 107, Boulder, CO 80302, United States Principal office mailing address n/a Registered Agent Name Harrison Wesley Reid Street address 919 Pennsylvania Ave, Boulder, CO 80302, United States Mailing address n/a

<snip> the fault is that the system should be left alone and that no changes are needed. <snip>
The failed logic is: "The system has issues, therefore it cannot remain!" Here's some statements for you to dispute: 1) The forum is better off with the current trust system than without. 2) The forum will be worse if the trust system is changed for the worse. 3) The community in general will not refuse a change for the better. The trust system is the worst form of trust management, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time. I challenge you to come up with a system that is a significant improvement over what is in place now. To be judged by the bitcointalk community.

Added Quickseller to my Trust list.
~BCX~
That's OT... Opposite topic. I laughed though. Well played.

I sell my website for BTC. Place your offer there. The site is perfect for create a ponzi site. After selling i change mail address to your for you change a password. This topic is a joke: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=945457.0 ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) My site is register by me. I can show you the mail of activation devthedev and Quickseller delete your feedback Now trying to sell here. Did you also gain access to this account?
|
|
|
Quickseller is not just your feedback. Delete ther or i send a negative feed to you.
I have deleted a content of firs post. Delete all of your feedback
Doubling back and removing the post does not change the fact that you were trying to sell something that you do not own.

I discovered the password to access the services of this website. The owner had used a password easy to find out, I think it is not so good with web development. However on sale this website and I can provide proof of ownership. You make me your offers.
Quoted for future reference. This seems flat out criminal.

<snip> No linking to illegal trading sites. Sadly this rule does not mention which authority determines if a site is illegal. And it only targets trading sites, so I'm actually thinking it is very related to the "no trading of goods that are illegal in the buyer's or seller's country" rule. And what about all other activities that some authority deems illegal? Just one additional explicit rule that covers a very small case does not clarify much.

Off-topic Other topics that might be of interest to bitcoiners. Some bitcoiners might be interested in stuff like this. After all, /r/wtf has 4.5 million subscribers. dangerous precedent ,and if bitcoiners they like the waste that exists in the deep web will be allowed to post too? If you are referring to anything illegal then no. Illegal by the entity that claims authority over the poster or illegal by the entity that claims authority over this forum? Or both? If I post something that every entity claiming authority over me allows, but an entity claiming authority over this forum deems illegal I reckon it will not be allowed on this forum. However, if I post something that an entity claiming authority over me deems illegal, but every entity claiming authority over this forum allows I reckon it will be tolerated. The only rule I'm aware off that explicitly addresses this is "Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden.".

I do agree that sock puppets and shills are bad for honest and open discussion. Detecting them, however, is not trivial. The most obvious sockpuppets are usually the least damaging. But a well executed use of sock puppets to derail/lead a serious discussion somewhere is hard to detect and much more dangerous.
If you have ideas/suggestions on how to reduce the number of sockpuppets, then I think it would be better to try and get them added to the new forum that is apparently scheduled for release this month. I highly doubt there will be any (major) new improvements to the current forum as it is.
PS. TECSHARE, do you have any input on the issue of sock puppets too? Or are you just here to taunt hilariousandco?

Does anyone know how the eco-fascists intend for this to be interpreted? Is it really a threat? It looks like a threat. Killing people reduces our carbon footprint. But killing everyone is overly ambitious. So they're just killing those who disagree with them. Did I get right?

You have your post in quotes, sometimes multiple line spacing is necessary as well so why would it be "truncated" by default?
Leading / trailing whitespace could be truncated because it's not spacing anything... Whitespace anywhere else could be functional. Either way, it seems 99.9% percent of the members do not add useless leading / trailing whitespace to posts so I'd say it's a non issue.

I have no use for this feature. It seems non-trivial to implement. I say it's not something that should be implemented.
What would happen if you ran this feature on say... Gleb Gamow? Just mentioning some transaction does not relate to ownership.
And "linking" accounts based on mentions of transaction ids or addresses seems flawed too. Suppose that a known scammer sends some BTC to a wallet you posted. Does that link your account with that of the scammer?
The core issue is that whoever is logged in apparently does not automatically have ownership of that account. That is a weird situation. I would hope that the new forum will be able to verify that the user who logged in actually has ownership. This could be 2-factor auth, or even some implementation requiring a signed message with a known key.
If the new forum has an option "Create proof of ownership" that would force the logged in user to strongly authenticate (signed message / 2-factor auth, whatever) would that take away your pain?

I agree, this is quite sick and shouldn't be allowed. freedom of speech or not, that not safe for anyone, not just NSFW. Maybe in the shielded environment that you live in. There are places in the world where this is shown on the news. These particular photos are from Thailand, where they're not so squeamish about showing the harsh reality. Regardless, Why would anyone in their right mind want to see something like that? if I am in a shielded environment, its for the right reasons. I agree with individuals deciding for themselves what they want to see or not. I disagree with this forum admins deciding what you get to see or not. As to why anyone would want to see it... Curiosity killed the cat? I took a look to provide a short description so others after me would have a better idea what is behind the link. Some would say every motorist should see images like that to make them aware of the brutal consequences of traffic accidents. I disagree with them too. I tend to disagree a lot. After lunch even my stomach disagreed.

Hello , is this possible and how ? I tried looking at profile settings but it wasn't possible.

First of all, QuickSeller is not trusted by DefaultTrust. Therefore this thread is moot. (He is on BadBear's and Akka's turst list) Quickerseller is a troll, trust abuser, and spammer through the multiple accounts he owns on this forum.
1) He shouldn't be in the position to leave default trust because of his account selling business. He is easily in the position to abuse his default trust for more monetary gain from selling positive trust accounts left by his main account. Who knows? But the thought of this is uneasy.
I agree that this would be a conflict of interest. I don't see any support that the Leesan account is connected to QuickSeller. 3) If Quickseller is his main account(which I highly doubt since his first post is about his account selling business) then he does not deem to be in the default trust position because of the amount of time he's been on here. How he managed to gain default trust in 6 months from selling accounts, which is suspicious at first, stirs a conspiracy theory that he is a staff member or an admin on this forum. Which makes me believe that this forum is dominated by cliques who will troll or abuse others if they don't like what they read or see.
I agree Quickseller is most likely a alternative account of someone. I don't have an issue with that. For the rest I'll leave you to your conspiracies. So I guess I will go create an account tomorrow to sell accounts and put myself in a police mode to call out scammers on this forum. Maybe that will get me on the default trust list too.
Since he uses his alt accounts to troll, abuse, and spam other people, every account he owns should be banned from this forum.
Good luck! You may have found some accounts that are being farmed. I hate them since they fill the forum with low quality posts. I don't see any concrete hints that all these accounts are connected. Let alone that they're connected to Quickseller. But I'd appreciate if some mod could verify them and take appropriate action if they're farm/spam accounts. Thanks for your time and energy, jamesphamm33. Edit: By the way, congratulations on joining the ranks of Evershawn (who thinks I'm a shill of Vod by the way...) jamesphamm33 -22: -4 / +0(0) 2015-01-30 0.00000000 shill account of Quickseller

Everyone is always talking about how free speech is supposedly so carefully protected here, but when it is an unpopular opinion everyone has no problem joining a mob to try to destroy peoples reputations in order to stop them from speaking.
Free speech unless I disagree with it, then it's a "mob" trying to destroy reputations. exactly ^ ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I like Tecshare and all, but gotta agree with this. Tecshare has a serious problem with people stating their opinions. Armis, he gave negative feedback to for posting his opinion, got removed from trusts lists for it. Calls staff posting their opinions coercion. Calls people calling out WC a mob and tries to belittle them in any way possible. Your right, I am such a bully being one man being attacked by dozens of people at once. BTW in case you haven't noticed I haven't used the trust system to fight any battles related to this, but don't let that mess up your attempt at discrediting me. BTW how does me pointing out the mob harassment activity count as me stopping free speech. I am interested to hear how me having an opinion some how stops other people from having opinions. P.S. funny how all these new accounts have opinions about me all of a sudden. I agree, there are an unusually large number of newer accounts participating in both this thread, as well as the many WoodCollector threads. This fact tends to discredit all sides. I would also say that it is very concerning that Nubbins is giving negative trust to people who are supporting WoodCollector in any way. I do think WoodCollector is a scammer, however that should not prevent people from speaking their opinion that they think he is honorable or otherwise not a scammer. This is essentially what Nubbins is doing, he is giving negative trust to almost anyone who supports WoodCollector, which puts fear into anyone who is considering to support him. I do believe that Nubbins did not previously know how to properly use the trust system, I would still say that he is abusing it by installing fear into anyone who has an opposing opinion then him. I do think he should be given the opportunity to learn how the trust system works, however I do think he has received that opportunity and has still not changed his ways. There is no reason why people should not be able to freely speak their minds without fear of having their account ruined with a "Warning: trade with extreme caution" tag attached to their account just because they have opposing view of someone who happens to be in the default trust network. +1 - He left me trust saying i was either a sock or a moron.... If that is not abusing the trust system what is? Pot, meet kettle! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
