361  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Bitcoin A Safe Haven Asset For Investment? on: May 12, 2024, 08:46:30 PM
I must tell you the truth there is nothing like a safe heaven. No one knows what the future would be, calling Bitcoin a safe heaven is like saying there is nothing that could possibly go wrong if we invest in Bitcoin. Investment is a risk and there is risk in investing in Bitcoin as an asset. The reason why Bitcoin is the most preferred asset that is being preached about to invest in is because it has proven itself over the years to not fail. And people who had invested in it has gotten good profit since the existence of Bitcoin.
That's indirectly saying the same thing bro, although I understand the point at which you are driving at and I would relate it with the context and meaning behind this quote " nothing lasts forever" because thats the only thing I do consider whenever I see discussions like this because that's the only possible point I can hold to seeing that anything bad could happen to Bitcoin but other than that Bitcoin has lived and served and it's still serving so I guess it's not all wrong to relate it as a safe heaven.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 12, 2024, 08:31:12 PM
We all know that we cannot play for a long time without being responsible players; we could go crazy, or we could lose all our money; at some point, you have to realize that you need to play responsibly, so I created this poll and this discussion to pick your reasons and explain it.

In my case, I have to lose a lot of money to realize I have to gamble responsibly if I don't want to break my finances and experience depression, so now I control myself and monitor my expenses, and I'm doing good with it.

Well thats the hard way to actually learn but I know you are not alone because just like you I believe the are lots of person under this same category but many would claim to be the latter and that's because it's the web and there is absolutely freedom to what you can say. If there is a percentage check on this, I believe the larger margin would fall on the part where people often turn crazy with their habits .
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 12, 2024, 08:26:01 PM
Anyone here familiar with this kind of scenario on the title? Just recently saw a compulsive gambler diary which he manage to recover everything when he chased loss then later on he loss it all.

Reading this guy confession https://www.gamblingtherapy.org/forum/topic/compulsive-gambler-chased-loss-got-it-back-then-lost-everything-again/ sometimes remind me of myself when I’m still not that fully taking control my gambling habits. I’m sure other players can relate to the part that you still keep playing after recovering your losses for a hope to win a little bit before you leave.
This is practically a feeling every veteran gambler who is some obsessed must have experience because it's way too common and the only set of person who wouldn't have experience this are the once who really practice that habit of playing gambling for fun because they tend to keep their habit in check and don't go out of lane when gambling.
364  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💥 HugeWin.com - Casino & Sportsbook 🔱 NO KYC on: May 12, 2024, 08:23:11 PM
I think the biggest problem for newly established businesses is that:
a) since they're new, they are much more likely to have some bugs or things not working as they should, which makes them more prone to receiving bad feedback;

If there is a way that these new businesses can have their customer representative respond quickly to these bad reviews offer solution or alternative ways that suits the customers then, new customers with bad reviews may see that these business is actually responsive and working towards a solution. That's one way fix the bad reputation problem.

The thing is that no matter how they go about their business even if it's the smoothest way possible there are still going to be some customers who aren't satisfied and that's just human direct nature and there is nothing you can do to stop that and besides just like what dothebeats said if a bad review is dropped it can't be changed so the best they could all do is just to do everything so that the good reviews are more because some gambling new customer would definitely rely on that when approaching the casino.
365  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin in our will, is it safe with lawyers? on: May 11, 2024, 08:05:55 PM
Don't put the seed phrase in the will, and only write that you son, or daughter should take the bitcoin form your wallet and give the hardware wallet to the lawyer and give the key to the person that will receive the will so that nobody can use the wallet in that process until the will has been read I. The public and let the layer handover the hardware wallet to the person to withdraw the coins.

Lawyers e no dey trusted again because their ways are not pure. And also teach the person wey you know say you want give the bitcoin will how to operate some of those things.  But don't tell the person that you have kept coins for him or her. And I think with this I have given you some tips to go about it.

Normally e dey very easy to thief any dead person Bitcoin as a lawyer because most of those person dey actually keep things like that secret. Bitcoin no be Wattin dem dey broadcast anyhow, Na whye go dey very easy for the lawyer to do away with the person Bitcoin. But this idea wey you give so Na one of the best  because when you split the hardware wallet and the seed phrase between you lawyer and pikin or wife, den e go dey hard for the lawyer to do away with the  Bitcoin easily. But the drawback Na be say what if the pikin and small one and e be et even k one too well the importance of Wattin dey em hand, or if the mother/wife no dey educated about Bitcoin to know how important e be?
366  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Guide on how to invest in bitcoin and altcoins on: May 11, 2024, 07:55:32 PM
I think say na only me done see this kind thing. I don fall for this trap more than once... e get one coin I been dey monitor for coinmarketcap, na so the coin dey rise dey go until I finally decide to put small money inside.  From the time I buy the coin till now, the coin dey fall dey go and the funny part be say, almost all exchanges don delist am. The thing do me like film, as if them dey wait make I buy first before the coin go die. Because of that experience, omo I no do again for those altcoins.

Lol, crypto currency is not for the weak minds, if we tell some persons how all this thing's dey happen to us dem go think say Na lie yet we go again, when time reach to buy another one. Some times e dey very discouraging while most time e dey go e joy to see say coin wey you buy don start to Waka the go sky. But no forget say in business there is ups and down, one important thing about some of this coins Na be say, them be actually shitcoins in making wey just dey wait for the right amount of buyers to enter before e start to dey dump for no reason. Even while other coins dey pump, dem go dey dump. And make we dey care especially for this price correction period wey price dey fluctuate anyhow.

It's crucial for beginners to start with thorough research and education, utilizing reliable resources and seeking guidance from experienced traders. 368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: May 11, 2024, 07:36:40 PM
Since financially they are not equal, an amount that looks huge for a poor man doesn't worth a thing in the hands of a rich person, that little money could worth a lot to the poor but maybe a token to the rich, so it actually depends according to financial abilities but in more case the rich are able to take on the risk better than a poor person since they don't depend on any financial aid from the gambling source but the poor would eagerly seek profit from every gambling he gets involved into, every penny used is worth for a poor person.

that's correct, a huge amount for the poor could be a little change for the rich. Hence the rich risk more. The questions of who should risk more is dependent on their personality, based on their level of exposure and mindset we have some rich and poor folks who gamble based on their financial activities or their pre aim of gambling. Those who gamble for fun are likely to spend less in gambling while to those who gamble to make extra money might be risking more to make sure this dream come true for them
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: May 11, 2024, 07:27:50 PM
When you make gamble a source of income, the thoughts like this would begin to flood you mind. What is the need to double your money and when if not that you'll be putting it all in one stake. We are unable to tell the future accurately or even boost that we know what's gonna happen the next second or minute, and that why taking such risk is uncalled for. I have heard of some persons who used their salary after their monthly pay to try gambling, and unfortunately for them, the 2odds which would have doubled it went sideways, and all they would have taken home for the month,  but they choose to listen to the tricky advice of gambling
370  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 11, 2024, 07:15:21 PM
Most persons started off with gambling for fun and after which they have kept a continuous relationship with gamble, they end up becoming addicted. Asking how much of your salary is to be used for gambling is a bit suspicious, and it could mean you have already started using more than you are supposed to use. As gamblers, when you don't understand the function of gambling and you take it as a means of making money, you'll definitely end up spending more than you ought to spend from you salary into gambling.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the main points of gambling? on: May 10, 2024, 10:27:08 PM

Greed and irresponsible gambling is a powerful facility that destroys the inner peace of most gamblers and push them to face mistakes, regrets, financial and mental loss.

Well, greed, greed, have always been the Defects that human beings have by nature, it is something that is sometimes difficult to see and people believe that they are doing it Well , and that is not the case, we as responsible people We must always do all things but being careful not to get carried away, because this is undoubtedly one of the most Common mistakes in all people , we are human , we make mistakes, but we must learn Things as they are and how we should do them so that we can control ourselves. Sometimes it is not just About controlling money or emotions but those Types of Feelings , everything that involves winning is something that adds up, but you have to know how to Win.

Sometimes the excitement of the wins make you lose again and that's because their is no focus on what you are doing. I have seen gamblers getting carried away by some of their wins and at the long run of everything still get stuck Back at the stage of zero, a typical example would be the fella being talked about in the bc.game Ann thread, I mean that is so fucking crazy that he makes he wins turn out negatively for him instead of positive vibes .
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 10, 2024, 10:03:25 PM
Investing in bitcoin is not something you can just start doing, proper knowledge and planning is needed. Knowing that it is best invested as a short term for beginners like me and long term for experience investors so as to make profit. As an investor, one need to have other means of earnings in other not to stagger when unforeseen occurrences comes like in the bear market(period when bitcoin price falls). Knowing all of these, my questions are:
-When is it the right time to invest in bitcon?
-How can one start planning?
-How do you follow up your bitcoin investment and other businesses?
-What are the assurance that you are ready?

I would say do your own research, moreover you here in one of the most active and lucrative forum when it's comes to Bitcoin. But if am to tell you from my own side then I think even now is a good time to buy because we are expecting a massive bull run upfront although I would advise to keep a steady pace that's if you intend to hold for long, just buy Bitcoin using the most popular strategy which is the DCA STRATEGY.
373  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Reason why crypto network dust traditional banks on: May 10, 2024, 09:44:56 PM
Everyone operating in a decentralized system does not require any intermediaries from the government or banking system to function and I think that's the edge it has over the centralized system.

Aside that, you omitted one of the major importance of crypto currency, that fact that there currencies are volatile is a good distinct quality. Traditional fiat bank is bound to experience inflation where by its value drops, just like what our currently is experiencing right now. But in coin like Bitcoin, the movement can be predicted and almost accurate. Bitcoin has more quality than the traditional fiat currency. The importance of the traditional fiat currency should not be over emphasized especially when in comparison with crypto.
374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Non custodial wallet is not for the weak on: May 10, 2024, 09:26:53 PM
Their is no doubt about non custodial wallet as the best wallet to invest bitcoin for long-term but their are lots of responsibilities that that is required to use a non custodial wallet.  I think it is a wallet designed for specific kind of people that are willing to take responsibilities. The wallet won't be suitable for those that are not ready to be discipline and to learn to have understanding of wallet management.
Using non custodial wallet you are your own customer support, it is expected that users are to resolve issues by themselves and this will be problem for one that is not ready to learn and understand how this wallet works.
Users must take their own security measures that can be susceptible to mistakes and attacks.  I must say non custodial wallet is a good one but one must be ready to take responsibilities privacy, wallet security,  protection against fraud.

This is one of the most interesting features on using a non custodian wallet. The fact that you are your own bank and and customer service when even you encounter any issue. One of the reason a Ike a noncustodial wallet is that, it's difficult for someone to run into any problem without resolving it your self easily. All you need is to get few basic knowledge and you are good to good, unlike traditional banks that you could be delayed for only trying to upgrade your account transactions limit. Aside mempool congestion that increases the transaction in all transactions, the non custodian wallet is far better than a traditional fiat bank, all it takes is your security consciousness to safe keep you seed phrase properly.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 10, 2024, 09:11:50 PM
Firstly I think that younger ones Gambling is very wrong. The age restriction for Gambling is more like a safe guard to prevent unnecessary and irresponsible Gambling habits of an individual and hence the Gambling restriction of 18+. A lot of teenagers are not able to make proper decisions for themselves hence if they are given the opportunity to gamble they will end up abusing it and even harming themselves. One common issue is that in some countries they are unable to properly enforce the 18+ Gambling rule hence alot of these teenagers in such countries are able to do such things illegally.

It's worse than you think. Those kids are not gonna quit even if someone talks to them about the damage it's doing to them  since they were already exposed to it earlier. It'd be hard to break off such habit now if they're already doing it with their uniforms on? That's really wild. They now have their balls deep in gambling. Whatever you learn in your teen days, is gonna stick with you in life for sure. That's why I fear for those kids especially if they randomly win, the dopamine hit will push them to bet more.

I bet that there are still some smart kids amongst them who would discover the dangers and threats gambling pose to their finance, even without anyone telling or advising them. It's improper for a kid to gamble under the restricted approve age by the government and the gamble itself,  it lets not assume all the kid who would gamble under the he age are dumb enough not know what they are getting themselves into. Though their minds are not yet mature enough to make good informed decision, but let's not forget that they are becoming smarter than what we use to be at our team age.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: May 10, 2024, 08:43:50 PM
as long as the person is okay with losing money while gambling in an emotional state, I think that's right. but as far as I know, most gamblers are not just a hobby. They think gambling is a place to get rich quickly or just multiply the money they have.
That is why, as a gambler, you must be able to control your emotions so that you don't lose too much when playing. that way they won't be frustrated because of their defeat.

The mentality of getting rich from gambling is one of the driving thoughts that get someone absolutely prepared of getting into addiction. Most addicted gamblers started off this way and after losing enough before so e of them come to realise that gamble is not a way of getting rich really quick. It quite unfortunate how some gambler keep trying over and over again only because they think their appointed time of hitting the jackpot is close. They often end up in regrets after they must have spent so much that cannot be replaced any longer. Gamble has a way of tricking you, and one is , by letting you get really close to wining  a big bet while a single selection might be the odd one amongst all the sle toons you made so far.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: May 10, 2024, 08:24:46 PM
The reason why people gamble is because they want money. Take money out of gambling and see what will remain, in fact no body will want to gamble again. The truth of the whole thing is that gambling is based on money.  Cash out and making an actually win you will prefer to lose than see something like that happen. I hardly cash out during any game because I feel if I lose I lose instead of cashing out. For does reason you gave that is why I don’t like cashing out. And even if I don’t win my mind would be made up and I won’t bother much because I know my fate already there are people that they enjoy cashing out we all have our individual differences, so anyone choice. To me it’s not relevant.

Yeah it's true majority of gamblers gamble because they want to make money, but I quite disagree with the fact that without money in gambling people won't play the games just got fun without any stake. Take for instance the poker game, it was originally a family game were member of a family would seat down to play and have some fun together, also the dice game would still be enjoyed even without gambling. However gambling only make the game to be more fun and serious especially when your money is at stake here. Then talking about the casino games, usually their are some online and offline games we play for fun sake and if we could do that their is a high tendency that some person would still play those casino games without stake, the pool is a greater example.
378  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: AltCoins hypes re similar to politicians promises during campaigns on: May 09, 2024, 09:29:20 PM
AltCoins are like the media being hijacked by the by the government.
They acts like the politicians with their unfulfill able promises during campaigns. They just go about spreading what the people needed to hear because they knows the truth would always be bittered and discouraging.
Omo Op your comparison weak me but no be lie e con be like say altcoin promises con pass politicians promises.Altcoins na crypto wey de hype dey motivate investors wey no know where their stand. As i join dis forum I dey hear altcoins mata so I see no reason investing on altcoins wey Bitcoin dey.The truth of de mata be say altcoins go always make their promises look so real to be called scam.Ponzi scheme dey real, normally some people wan learn from experience which na the best teacher, dem say if something neva do you,you no go know,as our senior rank members dey yan altcoins mata anybody wey wan invest on altcoins fit learn from experience.
Sometimes no be the altcoins sef be ma problem na the way many people wey no even sabi anything about cryptocurrency go dey promote some worthless altcoins project just because the bull market is here and even the exchanges sef sometimes dey also add this sudden hype because the amount of new projects being launch everyday this period sef go make these people dey think and get believe say altcoins nai be the main Koko but then say na until you taste  am you no go no how e dey feel.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: May 09, 2024, 09:25:06 PM
Quote
If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do?
Well I feel like quoting only the topic because it's a very important question. However, many gamblers feels sad when they lose money on bets because they can't afford to lose what they gambled. And some gambler doesn't feel bad when they lose their bets because they gamble wisely.
There is no doubt that the after results to Gambling is always heart breaking that's if you are on the losing side but when its the latter the case is also different. But the truth is that only some gamblers suffer from this as you have stated clearly and those set of persons are the crazy gamblers that tend to put their hopes on gambling to give profits on their every try but the one thing most gamblers forget is that this gambling of a thing especially the casino is a business and you can't expect the business owner to lose so that's why losing is a fixed thing in gambling it's boils down to how well you are able to cope with it.
