My bankroll is not more than $10 for gambling but if I gamble with more money, it can not exceed $25. But let me use $100 in your question.

If I gambled with $100 and I won $500. I will withdraw $400 immediately and it is going to be very fast. If I lose the remaining $100, I do not care. But there are times that I will withdraw the whole $500. My work makes me to be busy during week days and I may not gamble until the weekend.

If I gamble with $100 and I lost $90 already remaining just $10. I will use the remaining $10 to gamble. That is why I call it gambling budget or gambling bankroll. Any amount of money that I can not afford to lose will not be part of my gambling bankroll.

I will quit if I've make $500 and I will keep gamble instead of save the remaining $10, because I have a specific target when I want to withdraw my money and I've budgeting my weekly gambling activity, so I don't have to save my remaining money in order to gamble in the next week.

Let's say I budgeted $40 per month, which mean I will gamble $10 per week, so I will gamble until I met the specific target or gamble it all.

Personally, I find it harder to quit when I'm winning. Greed will be constant to many of us and it takes strong self-discipline to over come it. One reason why I think quitting when you're in loss is easier, is because of financial limitations wherein you will come to a point that you no longer have an amount to gamble forcing you to quit. Unlike with when you are winning, basically you have enough margin to continue and not to mention the idea that you could bet for more because you might be lucky that time and such thing does not happen on a daily basis. Answer depends on how long does the duration of gambling since this play an important part for determining when to quit. I usually quit when I’m satisfied on my game regardless if I win or lose but based on your option I already made x5 of my bankroll then ai probably choose quitting at profit rather than quitting with minimal lose since the chance of chasing loss is still high because the amount involved is still near the original bankroll.

The only time that quitting at less loses easier is when you play already for long time without progressing to your bankroll.

The point is: all of us here have different views and understandings in drawing conclusions, when they win in gambling, my experience in gambling, If I bet with capital of $100 and manage to win $400-1000, I definitely won't stop, but I will withdraw 70% of the winnings, otherwise I use 30% to bet again.

In fact, if the 30% money is used again for betting, if I win it's certainly good luck for me and if I lose in the gambling arena, Of course the money is not a burden for me, because I have withdrawn 70% to my account, that is my experience and it applies to this moment.

I usually don’t wait for my bankroll to get massive amount before I start to cash out - let’s say I put $100 which in reality is an amount that I’ll never use for gambling and I managed to hit $500 balance I’ll instantly withdrawals from it, and I won’t even wait till it gets to $500 before I start withdrawing - the moment my balance gets to $300 I’ll instantly take out $200 and leave the same amount I deposited, that way I’d know that I still made $100 profits even if I lose the rest in the account. And I’ll continue that way till I finally run out or get tired.

But as for the losing part, I usually just wait till everything goes down and after that I know I won’t be returning to my gambling account for another week or month depending on the amount I deposited. It’s not easy to call it a quit when you’re losing and that’s why we’re always advised to deposit an amount we know we can afford to lose, if you’re the type that deposit large amount thinking you’ll use it for a long time you might face the temptation of chasing loses after experiencing a losing streak but if you’re the type that deposits only what you just want to use to play at that point in time then there’ll be no need for you to start thinking if you should continue playing or call it a quit because you already know that the money is meant for gambling or that session alone.

In my own opinion, it is easier when you lose, because when you lose it allows you to lose money and there may be thoughts of no longer betting, but depending on the perception of the gambler himself if his goal is to make money then there is also a possibility that when he loses he will still bet by putting back some money and starting betting again. There is no definite thing that is determined except by his own goal which is gambling just for fun, because with the goal of having fun, there will be no thought of taking risky actions.
When the money we bet has increased then it is a good thing but here it is back to ourselves what to do with the increased money at stake. I will much easier stop when losing. I have gambled long enough to understand that getting desperate to win back your money will only cause you more losses, the fear of more losses is a strong emotion and is enough to make me decide to salvage what I came in with. Even though some gamblers do set limits of amount they wish to win and quit gambling and some others also set up amount that if they don't succeed to win with such amount that they will quit but it is easier said than done because I have seen so many gamblers saying if they win up to a certain amount, they will quit gambling and invest the money on other things but as soon as they are opportuned to meet their targets, the hunger to get more runs into their mind. We all are humans and our eagerness to make more money is unlimited and majority of people don't give up on something they succeeded with easily because they feel that is the easiest way to make it than venture into other things.
                  On the other hand, most gamblers who set out limits of amount they will lose before quitting gambling also finds it difficult because at some extent they begin to calculate the amount lost already and feel if they continue, the lost amount will be recovered but instead they even lose more and another thing that entices most gamblers is when they see other gamblers winning while they themselves are losing it boost their confidence and they assumes that if they gamble further that they may win.
So generally, it is always difficult to set winning or losing limits and maintain it even if there are gamblers that can keep to that , they are very few.

I will use the example data that you made, but it is quite difficult to visualize it, because when ii my mind is in a good state, my emotions are in a calm state, there is no greed and there is nothing that can influence the decision when I am in this state, because honestly if in the game and we manage to get a win the emotions we get from gambling fluctuate, for example, maybe at the beginning of gambling when you have $100 thinking that when you get $200/100% the return will stop, but already at the target level it becomes having second thoughts and feeling dissatisfied because you want more before withdrawing and so on like that, which could end up with a withdrawal at $150 or because you lose at $50 it doesn't even happen in withdrawal because it runs out of play again, the mental state at that moment is sometimes very different sir.

But if with the realization now with the amount won as you mentioned, I will withdraw it and sleep well then the next day I shop with my friends or relatives to celebrate the victory.

Whenever i'm winning and i've more than doubled my bankroll, i'll keep betting until my luck runs dry. There's nothing better than taking advantage of your luck while you're still on that hot winning streak and trying to get the most out of it because the next part would easily encourage you to quit.

If i'm down to my last $10, I usually keep betting to see where my luck takes me because i've had moments when my luck turns for the better while risking whatever's left in my gambling account. For the 1st case I will not stop completely, but I'll withdraw 450 from my 500 balance and continue playing with the remaining 50.
If I lost the remaining 50, I'll stop and take a rest for a while before starting a new session.
For the 2nd case, I will continue as I have no reason to stop with $10 left on my balance.
When I start a session with that amount, means that I'm ready to lose the whole amount so stopping with $10 left wont change anything.
If I continue then there is still a chance for me to win some back.

Judging from experience, and my own personal point of view, I can boldly say that its more easier for a gambler who is losing to stop/quit gambling for the day, than compared  to a gambler who is winning for that moment to stop immediately, reason been that most times, people tend to have this ideology that if within if they could afford to raise $20 to $400 (i.e $380 profits), its a sign if they gamble more, they are likely to earn more, which most times always ends badly, as the reverse always the case. However, it only takes a discipline individual to stop gambling after haven won a reasonable amount, knowing fully well that such winning comes once in a long while.

It’s hard to call yourself a gambler and you’ve not been met by these thoughts once or twice while gambling. It’s just natural to have these feelings about your positioning while gambling.
As a gambler, I’ve been in this position on both sides more times than I can recall. One thing to know is that, gambling is highly addictive and that addiction starts to draw you in based on either a win or lose or even the feeling that you could win. When your winning in gambling, you feel it’s your lucky day and would want to game on, when your loosing, you having the feeling of, your win is just up ahead and why not take another bet.

I think the safe thing I do now is that, I just take my wins and leave. It’s not about making 5x of my bankroll or 10x of that. Most times, I just go for 2 odds and never all in, once I get the win, am good. If I don’t, then I rest my case.

One place I don’t care very much is, when I have just a low bankroll, I don’t mind ending it by taking yet another risk. It’s just that way with me.

Like some others, I am a real degen as well... zillion times I was in profit (x2 or a lot more) and in 99% of those situations I continued to gamble and lost profit and initial deposit.

So I am definitely in the group of people who find it easier to quit after we lose most of or the entire bankroll. Degens, I don't have any other explanation, when we get into the fire we will force playing until we totally run out of luck and lose everything. It’s easier to quit for me when in profit rather than on minimal loss since there will be no sense of satisfaction to leave the game while your bankroll just barely changed both positive and negative.

I think it will be more hard to choose if you will add quitting gambling on 100% bust bankroll since the profit that you mention on the scenario is already huge. Typically, user is already contented with x2 of their bankroll.
