After further review, there is a fairly simple explanation. Bitcoin Maximalism Bitcoin Maximalism is the belief that Bitcoin is in fact the One Coin To Rule Them All. The Mods of this forum are true believers in Bitcoin Maximalism, and they have far and away the most popular crypto forum on the Internet. Why not use the platform to your own advantage? Some of the best and brighest minds in the industry freely post their ideas here. This helps Bitcoin by getting free business intelligence. Trolling on online forums is not new, and is even worse in some corners of the web. People who have time and money invested in Altcoin A sometimes think that trolling Altcoin B will help A succeed. This in turn starts all out war when Alcoin B attacks Altcoin C, who in turn attacks Altcoin A. Ask yourself who stands to gain by this activity? The Bitcoin Maximalists of course. The term for the army of Monero trolls congregating here is "useful idiots". What can be done? The initial first-mover advantage will last for a period of time, only to be replaced by the "Fast Follower". Ford Motor Company was the first mass produced manufacturer of cars. Within a short time, General Motors was outselling them by offering something Ford would not. By following a stragtegy of innovation, combined with focusing on getting the word out, DASH has an excellent chance of succeeding in the Digital Cash realm. I'm not selling any dash, I'm just holding off buying since the USD value dipped quite a bit, was buying when it was holding its value. Either way I got masternodes running too so that's only going to continue my accumulation  . |

Has anybody thought about renting super computer time for mining X11? When I read about the TITAN supercomputer running off of a series of gpus the imagination starts to really come into play here.
I remember someone saying they throw 1 gigahash at the mining, and it pushed the difficulty up and caused instablities at the pool, so its a catch 22 situation, and also if you're talking ultra quick then there is a getwork supply problem from the network, so your mega quantum powered computer is just a little too fast for everything around it to keep up. That would explain why quantum computers would have an issue going after crypto as well, if I follow correctly. |

Nobody else successfully implemented blockchain governance until DASH built it into its protocol. I don't see how BTC can ever get out of its own way enough to clone those features. They still have no agreement on a lot of the problems that face bitcoin presently. Until I see that improve I don't believe BTC will simply clone DASH.
They themselves have a foundation, and its proven to be ineffective at funding development. That's why Evan implemented DGBB, after learning the limitations of a foundation.
BTC might be the standard that drives all Cryptocurrency, but who says we can't improve on the standard if the standard refuses to change?
