362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea regarding DDoS attacks on: March 11, 2015, 06:52:10 PM
How does ddos steal user info?
Not possibe. DDOS only floods with traffic and getting a host down.

@OP, your theory is wrong.
DDOS have nothing to do with data stealing.
You have probably been keylogged or injected by some trojan/virus/whoknowswhat.

Data stealers are present on internet with free content you wanna grab, so they grab you.
Do not take anything free. As even you scan file, it happens that it is undetected at the moment of scan, but you scan it in a month and it will show different results.

Other side, DDoS is used to get website/host/server down and that is the only usage of it.
Read more about DDOS here.

Anyway the title is very interesting, as it is magic to mine Bitcoins those days. Not impossible, but just as titled, it's magic.
366  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 03-09-2015 Bitcoin Malware CryptoLocker Infects 200 University Of Amsterdam Comp on: March 11, 2015, 10:27:04 AM
The question is... How did this spread to an University network? I take for granted that an University network is protected by several systems that scan incoming files. At least that's what I'm used to from my University years...
It's no big deal to spread. 1 infected can spread to many others.
Protection bypassed. By scan time it was undetected.
.Edu is easy to infect as there is always someone who is not aware of it. Also there is always someone who made a bug in security not knowing it.
367  Other / Archival / Re: Best bitcoin faucets? on: March 10, 2015, 10:33:10 PM
I use alot of them.
Don't wanna make commercial for any, just using many of them.
Gain? About 2-2.5$ per month.
How much time I spend? About 8 hours every day.
Cheating? No. I use ref. links and I make 200% instead of 100%.
How? I have friends who do this too, so we exchange links and play.
Am I satisfied? Why not. I am doing my day online anyway, so why not to take any money, sure.

Sell all your product with bitcoin as a payment option. Have a tablet near by buyers scan your barcode with there smart phone and enter the purchase in dollars through there wallet and send payment.
Yes, I saw this in Geneva, Swiss, in some bar, I was eating and guy paid with his tab with bitcoin. First time I saw someting like that "live".
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin For Retail on: March 07, 2015, 07:11:59 PM

Can you explain detailed what do you mean by definition of "retail operation"?
As it can be used as regular money already.

For selling food and beverages in a chain of pubs and restaurants. At the moment the option I have heard about seem very slow and cumbersome.
Using the QR it is running smooth. Did you tested it?

The problem is the conversion rate. I suppose it is like using US Dollars in a venue geared up for only UK Pounds! That is why e need a system which will iron these things out as even small price movements can play havoc for VAT and beer duty.

Yes, but you can add 10% on your product price and you'll be fine.

And if you have fast net and fast hard drive (SSD) that would be a real pleasure to use.

Hello Everyone,

I want to know if someone knows if hiding bitcoin as a treasure hunt is legal ?
If the entry is free ? If the entry has a fee ?
At what point we can consider this as gambling ?

Thanks !
