Just in from Labcoin:

And here it comes, finally, today we are proud to announce the starting of mining operations in time with our roadmap.
The last week has been extremely busy and work is still in progress to bring online the whole hashing power.

We're currently averaging about 2 TH/s in solo mode, and expect to deploy at least 4 TH by monday 16, to reach gradually 50 TH within October.

The website will be updated this week in order to show our live hashing rate and dividends will be paid every two weeks.
More pictures of the laboratory setting where the hardware is currently deployed will be also distributed. Complete installment will be shown when our final premise will be ready. We're still considering some business aspects, including only focusing on the upcoming 65nm version for what concerns bulk chip sales. We plan to take a final decision regarding this issue during the next month.

We want to say thanks to all investors who trusted us during this long endeavor.

We will be here for about one hour to answer questions.

Labcoin Team

I'd actually consider it(I'm a hockey freak) if they had a 2nd amendment or the Canuck equivalent. Think they'd mind if I brought one of my own with? :p

 Happy Birthday Creative Wink
You can bring them with you in this - http://www.hockeymonkey.com/bags-stick.html - the only other thing you would have to do is say "How's it goin', eh?" to the border guard.

Take care

lol

Thanks for the laugh and birthday wishes. Smiley

Happy birthday old man creativex! Grin

I'm not invested in BM right now, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the solid management and I think this is one of the best run securities on BTC-TC. Hope you enjoy your birthday and have a great day! Smiley

Thanks man, appreciated.

Take care.

Well played sir! Cheesy

I still feel as though I COULD have made it had I woke up sipping a rum spiked mint/lime concoction, but alas it was not to be. Like a stoopit head I visited the caffeine dispensing station, which ultimately led to my undoing. Cry

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you use 50btc.com as your pool, i have created a KNCMiner team. Feel free to join up! As devices get delivered, im sure we can get near top of the list.

come help out!

if the token doesnt work, just go to 50btc.com teams and search KNCMiner

Their exchange rate rate right now is 121 dollars on that page, compared with 132 on Gox and +500 trading app?
Bitstamp = 122.25 right this second.

Check the genesis block calculator...agrees with Gox. That's a big difference, and according to the graph I'm looking at we've not been down that low for a long while. Something very wrong there.

TGB is getting it's data from gox. Gox is losing market share and relevance daily so indexing bitstamp is becoming more common by the day.

Quote
They create Bitcoinrush to Stockholm
Of Jonas Ryberg

NEWS KNC Miner await an onslaught of Bitcoin enthusiasts as they launch the first version of his machine to extract the digital currency. Now the company seeks reinforcement.

Stockholm company KNC Miner is currently looking for three project workers for help with handing out about 1,000 Bitcoingrävare to customers. Company president Andreas Kennemar says that the case of hundreds of people who come to pick up their orders directly from the company's office in Stockholm. - We expect that there will customers from all over the world, he says. reason why many customers choose to travel instead to get their machines sent is that they are in a hurry to plug in their new backhoe. Bitcoinsystemet is namely designed so that it requires more computing power to extract a Bitcoin as time passes and more diggers are connected. - The faster you plug in your machine, the greater the chance you have. It's a little gold rush 2.0, says Andreas Kennemar. He compares the Bitcoingrävare already on the market with shovels and the company's own with excavators. KNC Miners machines are built around an ASIC, a special circuit which is designed specially to solve the algorithm required to extract Bitcoin. According to the company the new machines are 10 to 100 times faster than that previously existed in the market. extraction of Bitcon can be described as an advanced mathematics competition. One problem is dealt and the first person to solve the given problem, a dividend of 25 Bitcion. The more people who are involved in solving problems, the more difficult it becomes. most expensive digger among KNC Miners products cost 50 000 and the cheapest 15, 000. The first batch machines, which will be handed out in Stockholm at the end of the month, is already sold out according to Andreas Kennemar. In the second round, the price of the most expensive machine set at 30 000, which will be reflected in the ship later and then gets fiercer competition in the contest for the digital currency.

You have a really strange idea about what a discussion is.

Apparently for you it means 'repeat the same thing over and over'.

Interesting.

Opinion.

False.

Agreed, the conversation is interesting. I'm glad you're enjoying it as well.

Cheers.

How long is the appropriate time to wait when you aren't given an option to do anything about it?

Two WeeksTM? Undecided
374  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 09, 2013, 04:24:19 PM
The 24hr average is 259% above IPO price. I don't understand where the need to hush dissenters comes from. If LC delivers the price will trend upward, if they do not deliver then it will drop expeditiously. Controlling perception will not change this.
375  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 09, 2013, 04:17:38 PM
Holy crap don't mention Gox. If management here is 1:100000000000th as inept as Gox's management we're hosed. Wink

...and of course wall street after regulation means that only the regulators and institutional investors can consistently make more than the rate of inflation.

Is this what you meant by discussion?

Uh. Yes?

Did I win?

Why risk your coins investing with someone that doesn't talk straight?

That's why I'm not investing in APPL or any other usual assets. BTC world is small, managers and CEO are doing stuff with their hands and we do not see keynotes announced 1 years before any important milestone. A post in the forum is what we get. The difference ? How do you x2/x3/x10 (for bASIC-MINING in the good old days) your coins in the traditional market in a few weeks ? This is how it works here. No professional communication, a lot of uncertainty (just see how many trolls screaming "scam" since the beginning), but in exchange: huge rewards for the believers if it works as expected.

I don't see why people are complaining about all this, or I suppose they don't really know what they are doing.

I don't know about "people", but I don't see anything wrong with expecting management to act in good faith. If they say they'll do something, then do it. If for some reason you cannot do it, then explain in simple terms why it did not happen. Information black holes promote uncertainty and fuel speculation.

Anyway, locking their shares was only one solution, not the only solution. They could easily simply make their portfolios public and then post a link. This is childs play on btct.co and doesn't require any input whatsoever from burnside who is a busy feller. None of this uncertainty is the least bit necessary as there are numerous ways to avoid it, but none of them are being acted upon.

See my post above, do you think that is a possibility?

Sure it's a possibility. While nothing would 100% prevent them from profiting by manipulating the news, accounting for 30% of all the outstanding shares would go a long way and also re-assure investors that management still had skin in the game. As it stands I have no idea if anyone in charge of LC holds even a single share. If they do not, then I don't want to hold any shares either.

Anybody notice that the labcoin account was online?
Have observed this behaviour a few times now. The fact that he is obviously monitoring what's happening here, but doesn't post news, really makes me uneasy.

Last times too: comes and goes on/off, but nothing. Just when the price has crashed due to panic, he decides to make his post.
I have to agree with the negative voices here: that stinks like manipulation.
This would be no issue if the damn shares were just locked  Undecided

Precisely. So easily avoided.

I agree with you on almost everything you said, but I don't think that locking shares would have avoided risk of manipulation. Labcoin could always buy shares and sell them just after releasing news. So why have the shares locked would remove risk of manipulation? If they are malicious, they can fraud us or use maniuplation with or without locked shares

Avoid? No. Massively reduce the potential appearance of? Absolutely.

It's a perception issue to my mind. Just as you do not self impose timelines you are even .0001% uncertain you cannot meet, you do not say you'll do things you don't intent to do when other people's money is hanging on your every word. Crypto securities are in large part built around a foundation of trust. If the asset issuer fails to honor their own words, then why should others honor their words? Why risk your coins investing with someone that doesn't talk straight?
