Ok I get it in what situation you are really.

The market is growing very slowly on daily basis like 50-100 bucks a day in case of the BTC and suddenly it also drops to the same rate. On the following day it again rises to higher rates and again the drop occurs by the night time! This is happening since over week now and anyone can get disturbed about this sitution. But the simple fact is, BTC is resisting itself from crushing itself to lowest prices and thus all the ups and downs in our way. But this is not worrying thing but the good one as we can see BTC is doing really great and thus chances are that it will grow big soon. So just hold it and dont sell anything.

If I were you then I am sure my first shot wouldn't be putting my money into sharks mouth! I will go for the coins which are already listed in the exchanges and having some sort of volume in the project itself. This will tell me that the project is legit one and there are some sort of developments going on. If thats not the case then I will hold the most rigid coins that is ETH and BTC. Thats the best way to go around it mate.

Yeah, that the thing keeping me alive from the all huddles of holding, 60% less than its ATH! Thats perfect example or explanation why we should be holding our bitcoins. Its not just BTC itself but many other coins out there and we can just smash the whole thing in time to come. I missed the chance one time and then again for the second time too yet here I am holding my BTC this time for the better results. It was my mistake not holding the coins last year and I just rushed and sold whenever I desired to do so. That was unrealistic one! For this time im true holder! Keep the party on guys! 

Off course greediness should be off the table always and no matter what is the status of market you must avoid that one.  
Currently we are at boundary where the market is about to explode and hence we must get in if we have the chance to do so. The maxima is yet to achieve and hence with all the possibilities we must keep the trades in line. There is actually no need to cut down the trades as bitcoin will be getting over the current prices for sure. The direction is already positive one and its rising by 2-5% on daily basis. Thats the indicative sign of that one.

Off course old days are always best one to know how the HODL strategy works the best!! We know all the stories of pizza boy, a waitress and her sister and much more who became millionaires later on when they had the bitcoins in their wallets, doing nothing but just hodling. If that was possible without any future of the bitcoin and no developments at all then I am sure in todays world when the developments are being taken place at alarming rates and there is some future of the bitcoin then HODL is very very important this time and it can bring good stuff.

No bitcoin will not disappear after looking at the huge investment that is being made into it in the first place. The volume that drives into it daily is crazy enough to change the face of bitcoin forever. Its also already happening and we can see the major changes into its use. The time wont be long when the real use of bitcoin will be made by the government itself and lets not forget about the block chain on what it really working. Thats the leading role which we should be looking after and the bitcoin will follow and its real value will follow too.

Now speaking about your main point, whether bitcoin is psychological one or not? Off course no.

I wish I could have supported this one but bitcoin is really not the thing which is capable of replacing anything today or tomorrow. I mean fiat would have been replaceable if it would have been lacking few characters that are represented by the bitcoin. I mean technological advancement would be when the few things are more upgraded in the newer version. Also, bitcoin has come out of the blockchain technology which itself a whole new world and doesnt rely on the real world. In here we have swift technology, using which todays international transfers are done. They are fast, secure and does take more precautions! So whats the new in blockchain and its not even recognised legally in many countries to get the global status. Isn't those are the points that can keep the bitcoin down the line no matter what advances it gets.

I wouldn't say just the luck alone can play the role and you do need skills to trade effectively. I am not even saying that you need far better skill set to perform the operations. I mean any average person with techs to know how to do it can do it effectively. You just need to know basic things like, when to buy, how to buy, and how much to buy. These are basic questions which one should know answer to while trading and they can turn out to be lucky one with that. If you re not sure about what you are doing in the trading, then just stick to the holding as it is far safer and needs neither the luck nor the skills.

The fluctuations might have got to do something buyer and seller ratio which further depends on the bear and bull markets! Currently we are at the stage where bear and bull run are trying to fight against each other and thus the buyer and seller pressure is getting unequal too. If this is the case that keeps happening then until that time the volatility will be there and thus the fluctuations as well.

They are now decreasing as the bull run taking over the bearish trend!!

Current rates are still low as compared to the ATH of December month. There is still no issue of transaction handling as we have enough miners around the world now. 

Short term would be something from few weeks to the month or so mate. The 6 month period you talking about is still long term and many things can happen during that one. I mean in next 6 months from now I am sure BTC market will be huge take over and it will surpass all the trends currently. You will see how the prices will bloom in this industry before you blink an eye.  

XRP is old stuff but good stuff for the short term. However I would just suggest to put bucks into it for like one month or so but not more than that. Consider that one as red zone for it. Back off if something goes wrong in meantime.

I am sure it won't be bubble but something worst that might cause the bitcoin to go so much down the line. I am thinking that if the price drops that much low then it has got to do something with the mega market cap dump. If that happens then I am sure people won be buying it but selling it a lot.

Lets consider it is bubble and then it exploded to get such low rates then it could happen that people may not buy the crypto again as they will have the trust broken up. Even if I am in such situation then surely I wont be taking any chance as it could destroy the whole the thing.

Yeah lets just wait for the next move of the BTC. Since you posted the rates have been up and above 8K USD for the BTC now. I think it is at the resistance level of 8K USD and it has to break up that one within next week or so thus it will be ready for the next higher level. The buy walls are already getting built up so I am sure that we might just next boom in short terms. I am also positive with the ETH as it has gone to 515 USD after a week time and also moving along with the BTC rates. That wont be longer enough when both will moon just the way they did in 2017 December month. 

So in general big investors do believe that ETH is going to have the down trend soon and after reaching 450 bucks or so ETH will start bull trend one more time. But I do see more buy walls than the sell wall and that could be coming form the different exchangers and time frames. However, I have one theory, when the prices start pumping upwards then thats the actual time when people think of buying more and more coins in the first place and thus that is what will happen this time. Remember the last up surge of ETH? It was around 800 USD and no one was thinking that it will go down but were thinking that they will miss the train if they dont go and buy and thus did buy and made it go 1300 USD.

Now that is something worth reading dude. I am surprised that western hemisphere is getting blessed with such opportunities and surely they always excel in new things. I am from asian country but when it comes to crypto currencies the whole thing is still left in the desert and waiting for the next boom.

There will be time when people will fight for such job opportunities as it will be completely different sector of the information technology and will be on boos as well. Just like internet started in the dark ages, blockchain is in the same period as well and is seeking for the experts to be taken on board. Those who gets in today will be the highest paid employee in coming years. Nice read.

This is good list anyway. I am however fond of ETH, NEO and LTC here. They have shown best spikes in the last year and it is nothing but the sign of their real use and being popular amongst the market. Cant think about the NEO staying so low at which rates it is currently. This coin is having good time right now where we can buy some loads of it and wait until its previous ATH that is 136 USD (approx.). I mean thats really doable thing and this year we are already setting up more investment in it thus making it more susceptible for that spike. ETH, no question about it, just buy whenever get the chance.

Yes now that is called as real use of the crypto currencies isnt it. I mean we can just buy verge somewhere and then get the premium membership on these websites. Pornhub being the giant porn site I am sure it will or it might be getting good response in terms of verge. The only thing is, why verge is still not up yet. I mean I mean I saw on their website that they are using the verge as payment mode but isn't that should have pumped the verge already. There should have been huge movement in the coin in terms of purchases and buy walls as we speak. But this could be about the publicity! May be they might not have targeted the crypto people yet.

But its really good to see how crypto's are progressing in the real world now.

There is no point in asking what to do now because what you should have been doing is already gone! I mean the hold stuff I am talking about which every experienced person here will tell you in the first place and you can see the result in front of you. If you would have stayed calm and took the decisions patiently at that time then you could have easily grabbed 50%++ in net profits and would have been enjoying your different story telling everyone how you made more money from crypto.

Now you can just keep whatever you have as it is and hope for the best that the prices will spike towards an ATH rate like last year. That will bring you to the break even I guess.

No its not about the volume that you are putting in but its about the timing when you entered your investment into the trade or investment. I mean just imagine very common example of the bitcoin where it was lowest of all in year 2009-10 and if someone had their investment at that time and even if it was just couple of dollars then also it has become more than thousand dollars in todays date. Similarly if someone had investment in 2017 and had couple of dollars investment then also it stays the same as the timing was completely wrong not the volume itself. Thats the main point here, its obvious thing also.

Usually I will take out everything from my portfolio and then will wait for it to come down again. Once the prices are down I can buy them all cheap again but I will invest only that much amount which my initial investment minus the profits that I earned. This helps me keep some amount in the saving and this way I can keep increasing my wealth instead of making it die over the time at each trade!! That the best strategy for me as over the time swing trades keep happening and they keep boosting my portfolio. Thus at each trade I earn more and more and plus I save the X amount too.
