361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coinye (COYE) is still alive! It is back now! on: March 22, 2015, 07:31:21 PM
I thought this coin was dead & to my surprise & delight, it is not. I've got a shit-load of them stored on a flash drive.  Unfortunately, I just downloaded the new KOI wallet & I can't get any active connections.

hey dude! Sorry for delay to respond, just saw your message now! I am very busy in recent months and almost no time to bitcointalk and slack. Very nice to see you here my friend!
Beware of these chemical, better opt for something more natural like marijuana  Cheesy

Thanks Emilio, been a bit busy myself... cleaning myself up & such, brainstorming for a new blog. Those Benzos are a bitch & being a regular beer drinker it became a recipe for disaster. It all started with a pinched pelvic nerve & I ended up gobbling those suckers like candy. Funny, when I originally posted, I was so whacked the reason I couldn't get into Slack was I wasn't even using the right url. DOH! Anyways, staying away from the brew for now & doing exactly what you mentioned ;-) The pills I'm having my doctor taper me off. Glad to see you're still around!

Also mad props to Hondo & the crew for this amazing new wallet, it is a one of a kind for sure!
Definitely a nice smooth set-up on my end.
2015 is gonna be a great year! I'm looking forward to the new innovations & it's great to see more interest from investors :-D

Cheers!

Awesome work... I love it!
Thanks. There's also the issue of 'Show QR Code' not working in Receive Coins. That's the priority for now (something to get on with rather than fuming about delays).

Absolutely, especially with the goal of mobile phone adoption.

Also, I notice I've been staking more just in the past day. Is POW over?
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KOBO] Kobocoin - A West African peer to peer micropayment system on: February 22, 2015, 05:20:03 PM
I've been playing around with QT Designer. Got the denominations sorted.
 Smiley

KOBO

MANILLA

COWRIE

The updated desktop wallets will be officially released once all 3 desktop versions are built and tested. If you'd like to play with the Linux version I'm using it can be downloaded from the following URL:

https://mega.co.nz/#!rVYzFZCZ!CKJS6_79OFiqoSaDOV5TxCSqN6j66qwqgDByoWmixr0

Revisions: 22nd February, 2015
1. Removed white border from startup splash image
2. Modified currency denominations to reflect KOBO, MANILLA, COWRIE

I'll make sure that all revision history is part of the ever-growing(!) OP
Please virus check before testing and make sure you backup your wallet.dat before doing anything

(btw, we now have the correct server and OS to get moving ahead with the Android wallet - fingers crossed!)

Awesome work... I love it!

Why price is so low?

Too many miners unloading at once would be my guess.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KOBO] Kobocoin - A West African peer to peer micropayment system on: February 16, 2015, 07:50:40 PM
Kobocoin is now on CoinMarketCap

 Smiley

I've been waiting for this... definitely good for exposure!

its conflicted not orphaned m8
Sometimes it helps to read the message that you include with my post.

I never said it was orphaned; I believe you may be referring to another user who made that assertion.

Not to go off topic, but as far as I'm aware it is fairly standard for the odd PoS to be conflicted and isn't indicative of any problem.

Open, close, open close. I did it 3 times for it to work. I dunno, give it a shot.

first time staking says conflicted.  but why?

Status: conflicted, broadcast through 4 nodes
Date: 2/14/2015 16:45
Source: Generated
Debit: 0.00 KOBO
Net amount: -2036.23987055 KOBO
Transaction ID: 5710caeb1579d9a4778812ca5055d5e29e6048310352939303793fddb1a0160b

Generated coins must mature 60 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

POW is still going on, so you are basically competing with hardcore miners while staking. I doubt that you will have this issue when Proof Of work is completed.

I may be wrong, but this sounds different than an orphaned block, I would close & re-open the wallet. It works wonders most of the time, in my experience.

Whatever you want as your username & password. I left the port alone & it seemed to sync just fine.

Edit: Also, the file should go in your AppData/Roaming/Kobocoin folder

Thank you so much. it sync fine now .

You're welcome!  Grin

I was having the same issue & this cleared it right up. It's syncing pretty quick too. Great coin, btw!

Thanks for the welcome back MR1, been keeping a low profile til my head is more clear. Anyways, tried that. No word. I'll just keep poking back here for updates.

What's going on with Slack? I got booted off again (I never posted anything). My email/password just stopped working again. Then it says that my email does not exist in the system. I checked it periodically, but wasn't posting. I am struggling with both an alcohol & Valium addiction & figured it would be best to be quiet until I get over this, as I can act irrational at times. I still want to know what's going on in Slack & with Stealth.
I am quiet for a reason, but I would still like to keep an eye on what's going on.
Thanks, & props to Emilioman... miss ya bro!

It seems as if the second I post anything, the price drops dramatically. I'm taking a sabbatical from posting here. Not just this one time, but everytime. I've noticed this over a period of time. I suppose it is best if I say nothing. I'll get back into slack, though I forgot my password. I will refrain from posting here.

Here's a good article to share as well as plug Stealthcoin in the comments:

http://www.welivesecurity.com/2014/11/26/bitcoin-hack-can-reveal-ip-addresses-anonymous-transactions/

EDIT: I tried plugging StealthCoin & the comment was not approved. Let's BOMBARD them!  Grin
EDIT #2: Trying again with a more simplistic comment... see what happens. Again, let's BOMBARD them!

We will have to spread the word in inovative ways once the new releases come out.

G.

Maybe calling in to the Alex Jones Show & suggesting he accept Stealthcoin? He's already accepting Bitcoin in his online store. Even if he doesn't, I'd be a good plug.  Wink

We must make him to accept Stealthcoin transactions. Me must make him an offer he can`t refuse Cheesy

How can you refuse Stealthcoin?  Grin

We here in the XST community should reach out to Joe Rogan as well. Maybe Ron Paul & Jesse Ventura? LOL, funny thing is Im serious.
Im trying to get my DJ buddy Jake Sgarlato along with his close friend Borgore & Victor Niglio to accept cryptocurrencies as well but its difficult. Lips sealed

Totally! Rogan may be the best bet. Ron Paul can be stand-offish at times, but now that he's retired.... he's been letting loose! Have you folks seen his channel?
It's called Voices of Liberty.
http://www.voicesofliberty.com/

I'm brain-storming here. Adam Kokesh  would be perfect, though I think he's walking on egg shells right now.

Come to think of it... Lew Rockwell or Max Keiser would be the best folks to introduce Stealthcoin to.

Ventura can piss-off for his attack on David Icke!

From Hondo last night on slack:

hondo [1:05 AM]
Beautiful code from Alex, the Qt dev who did the new tiled wallet.

I just finished the code review. It's very professional work.

hondo [1:10 AM]
Building now.

hondo [1:11 AM]
OMFG it's gorgeous!

hondo [1:13 AM]6:13
There might be a slight font size issue with linux, but I think that's an easy fix.

hondo [1:13 AM]
But this wallet is beautiful.

Hell yea! I can't wait to see it with my own eyes... sounds fantastic!
