361  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Localbitcoins accounts for sale on: October 22, 2017, 03:48:57 PM

If you have any ethics at all, you really shouldn't sell these. 99% chance that the buyer is going to try and scam the next customer with them, even with the localbitcoins escrow system...

Also, i'm not sure if you verified these accounts using any sort of passport, but if you did, you're putting your entire reputation on the line for just a few bucks. Really doesn't seem to be worth it to me..

If he have verified them with any form of ID, then it will be easy for him to recover the account after selling it. Don't think he really cares about reputation.
362  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Themeforest.net themes - CHEAPEST ON MARKET!!! 10$ on: October 22, 2017, 03:45:45 PM
Are you selling licensed themes (Purchased on your envato accounts) or you are just googling for the nulled theme on request and provide download link ?
363  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Gambling Method [Make $40-50 daily] on: October 22, 2017, 03:44:43 PM
It's probably just a martingale or something like that where you have like 15-20 chances and it's less likely that you will lose but still possible (when you play with few cents)
364  Economy / Services / Re: Using Bitcoin to Buy Things Could Trigger IRS Tax Bill on: October 22, 2017, 03:40:26 PM
Hi !
Using Bitcoin to buy everyday things, such as a burger, could trigger a tax bill from the IRS due to cryptocurrency being considered property. However, there is potential relief on the way in the form of new legislation.

Don't withdraw btc to bank and then buy a burger with a card. Use BTC atm or find guy on localbitcoins.com, get cash, buy burger. Problem fixed.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: October 22, 2017, 03:28:02 PM
I earn a lot of BTC and use that money for some of my daily needs. Few days ago I looked at history of my withdrawals, and I took about 100$ out quite some time ago. Now it would be worth about 650$. I understand that I wouldn't be able to buy what I wanted at that time but still...
366  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-19] Ukraine’s New Bill Treats Bitcoin as Financial Asset and Encourages on: October 22, 2017, 03:24:05 PM
What will change for them are taxes. They will have to pay for percentage of everything they own in crypto world. I hope this won't pass.

That's a pretty normal thing for the average joe. In most of the countries you have to pay tax over your crypto currencies already, so it won't change much. If I hold Bitcoin, the total value of these coins at date of declaring them will add up to my overall wealth, which requires me to pay tax. If I buy and sell for a profit, I again need to pay tax, but now over the booked gains. The crypto market has been growing on a yearly basis, where we near a point that people can't look at crypto anymore as if it is just a hobby/fun thing. I am against paying tax over my holdings, but that mainly comes from the fact that I hold Bitcoin for a reason, but I am quite sure that the regular person will very likely see it as a normal thing to pay tax.

In countries like US yes. I guess everyone will want to pay tax. I never paid tax on any of my crypto holdings. I avoid withdrawing to my bank, instead I use localbitcoin and meet in person or btc ATM. If I wanted to pay taxes for every purchase I make I will just use Paypal or something like that.
367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best way for newbies to buy bitcoin or ethereum on: October 22, 2017, 11:22:31 AM
Hi all,

Ive been investing small amounts in Bitcoin and ethereum for a year or so now but i wanted to ask what is the best or easiest way for a newbie to buy the currency now. I have a coinbase account so im able to purchase quickly if need be but so many buy sites make it very difficult for newbies to make such purchases in quick time. What is there out there thats on board and safe for anyone wanting to join the market quickly and start investing in such currencies?

Kind Regards

Griff

For BTC I always use LocalBItcoins. Buy them with national bank transfer (quicker like you need) or meet in person. If seller is online you can get your BTC in 10 minutes and not to mention that they offer better value than exchanges like coinbase

Looking at this bill, it's good for the country but bad for the owners of crypto currencies. What will change for them are taxes. They will have to pay for percentage of everything they own in crypto world. I hope this won't pass.
369  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best Online Wallet on: October 21, 2017, 11:35:06 PM
I want to use an online wallet, which one is the most secure and reliable option for me?

The most secure and reliable option for you/us has been mentioned by Lucius, blockchain.info is the most reliable online wallet of all time but it doesn't accept LTC as of the moment. I don't know if they'll soon adopt LTC and make their own wallet for it.

Is there any that supports bitcoin and also altcoin like eth and litecoin etc.
You can try to use coinbase and exodus.
But the bad thing here is you don't hold the private keys for each of those wallets I still recommend you to use wallets that allows you to hold private keys except exodus.

Coinbase is not a wallet, its an exchange. It's never a good idea to store coins at a exchange

I didn't mentioned or said that coinbase is a wallet nor it's a good place to keep your bitcoin. He's looking for a place where he can put his coins and I just considered coinbase must be the one that he's been looking for. I support you that it's never a good idea to keep our coins to an exchange, everything is at risk and we may not know if they will be the next one to be attacked by hackers. I'm not being exaggerated here but it's better to be safe, we have seen bitfinex was breached before.

We are only talking about the security here. Where upcoming forks to the Bitcoin, if you are in control of the private keys you are getting the forked coin, however if you store your coins on an online wallet, they may or may not give you the forked ones. It's their decision.

The first public Auction House would be the correct term. We don't know how many private ones are already using BTC as means of payment (not to talk about illegal ones)
371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Fork on: October 21, 2017, 11:28:15 PM
How can any coin like Bitcoin Gold be successful ? I don't understand what are they trying to achieve, copy BTC, add some features from other BTC forks ,combine them all together, and get a coin that no one will use ever ? I think that any smart persons thoughts about the fork is sell btc gold, buy btc.
372  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which hardware wallet 2017? on: October 21, 2017, 01:54:46 PM
I chose Trezor over Ledger because simply there is a more trusted Company behind them. I never heard anyone was scammed by SatoshiLabs (Same goes for Ledger for now but they are simply here for shorter amount of time)

As other recommended blockchain.info is most trusted for now, but only problem is that their code is closed source so we can't really know if they can access users private keys or not. I would recommend using Electrum. I know its not an online wallet but, you don't have to download the blockchain and that is the only reason why would anyone use Online wallets really.
374  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-20] Bitcoin's Market Cap Is Now More Than $100 Billion on: October 21, 2017, 01:38:41 PM
It's a nice achievement but still, It's not really big amount if BTC should be used as everyday currency. In order to achieve that BTC market cap should be 1 trillion in my opinion. At that point its no longer compared to the market cap of companies (Apple is currently at 730 billion)

I looked over their "exchange" its basically the service Shapeshift already offers. I don't understand why they need ICO funding for that or what is so special about their exchange.
376  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-18] Bitcoin Price Drops by over $400 Without any real Reason on: October 18, 2017, 03:19:23 PM
Well i guess there is always the reason when people just want to cash out. A lot of newbs hold BTC short term and they set sell orders for prices. We must take that into account every time btc price goes up.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: October 18, 2017, 07:06:15 AM
in my college there are no courses about bitcoin specifically but there are a some courses about blockchain technology. I find them very interesting and the fact that only one college in the country have them.
378  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-10] Bitcoin Boom is Fueling Nvidia’s Stock Price to All-Time Highs on: October 17, 2017, 08:50:25 AM
It's pretty pathetic that a news outlet called "Bitcoinist", which is obviously supposed to be focused on Bitcoin, would be pushing the misconception that Bitcoin has any relation to GPU mining.  The title is suggesting that Bitcoin is somehow involved in this, when in fact it's the altcoins with ASIC-resistant mining algorithms that are helping NVIDIA.

It's crazy that some groups have started lumping cryptocurrencies all together along with Bitcoin, rather than judging each individual crypto based on its actual merit and its relation to an event.

I don't see anything wrong with this.

Even if GPU's can't mine bitcoin still the existence of altcoins has  an effect on the increase on bitcoin's price. People are mining altcoins and will have it traded to bitcoin by doing this the demand for bitcoin is increasing and if not because of those GPU miners there will be not much of people trading bitcoin everyday.

So that is the reason why a website focused on bitcoin had this article. Every single altcoin has an effect on the price of bitcoin.

Do you think that is enough to move stock prices of a huge company like Nvidia ? Still the majority of miners are using AMD cards. Article is total nonsense in my mind, they just took two separate events and somehow connected them.

Thanks for recommendation Smiley

Can you customize this for an Altcoin instead of using Bitcoin? I want to buy this and I want it customized.

Depends on altcoin but for most coins I can do it. Let me know what you need exactly

I want it for Steem, I am a member of the community and I am looking to add this for the community. Will you be able to integrate Steem token into this script?

I can work with any coin that have JSON-RPC interface and testnet
