361  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: March 11, 2012, 07:26:26 AM
It's possible to set gpu, mem clocks/voltage with it? CGMiner is not an option, because don't support 6 series radeons mem downclocking and undervolting.
362  Local / Майнеры / Re: 7770 поступили в продажу ^^ on: March 04, 2012, 10:26:31 AM
Шейдерных юнитов у них на порядок меньше. Но в играх быстрее, чем 5770/6770.

I use log me in. It seems to work better than team viewer for me. If you care for my opinion at least
I checked it and don't like that I need to use browser for it and always log in from pc that should be monitored. Teamviewer feels more comfortable to me and faster - use it with netbook with wifi connection. Anyway thanks for recommendation.

Thanks!
I have tried. MEGA-BOOST!!! Shocked
HD5830@925MHz - before 297Mh/s after 327Mh/s
HD6930@950MHz - before 354Mh/s after 389Mh/s
HD6770@925MHz - before 213Mh/s after 234Mh/s

Last time I checked, you can't install windows to a usb drive.
Wrong.
 http://ftanada.wordpress.com/2009/02/15/install-windows-7-on-a-usb-stickflash-drive/
 Same with XP.
And btw XP use less power than Linux or W7. However I have problems with 6870 OpenCL, it doesn't work under XP. And problems with onboard gpu performance in games, all this is working with W7 without troubles, however I'll probably use Linux for my next rig, if its possible there to underclock/undervolt 6 series radeons without problems and if Phoenix support it.
366  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5970 - 2nd GPU memory bad suddenly..? mining related? on: February 29, 2012, 09:50:46 PM
I got that part, but I need to disable crossfire as well =)
No other way.
367  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5970 - 2nd GPU memory bad suddenly..? mining related? on: February 29, 2012, 09:42:35 PM
Can't really tell you much about the memory issues but from what I've read it doesn't seem like you can tell it to render games on GPU1 while mining on GPU2.

Would be really nice if that were possible though.  I mean, you can tell GPU2 to disable in CGMiner but I don't know of a way to tell games to rely only on GPU1.

Disabling crossfire will force games onto GPU1...just need to find an easy way to do that =P
Just enable your gpu, on which you want to run games, as your main desktop.
368  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5970 - 2nd GPU memory bad suddenly..? mining related? on: February 29, 2012, 08:21:06 PM
I have had this 5970 for about 1.5 months.
Ive been mining w/ it at 805/175 no voltage changes, stock bios. Both cores working great, putting out same mhash.
I tried gaming on it when I first got the card and it was awesome, gamed for less than a week then let it do 24/7 mining.
I just tried gaming on it again and there is massive screen distortion / texture corruption / polygon tearing when running full screen games. When running windowed(xfire disabled) its fine. So, I am pretty sure the memory has gone to shit on the 2nd GPU.

Im wonderin if mining would have been related to killing the mem .. perhaps to low of a clk speed on RAM or something. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

I surely hope I can RMA it. Its a shame for such a nice card to get bad RAM all the sudden =(
If I cant RMA, will try n just disable 2nd GPU in device manager for when I want to game.

Works great for mining though.
This just really sucks.
Low ram clocks cant damage it. I mine with my 5770 around same period, but its still working great. I hope you running games on it with default clocks?
369  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 6950 mining, card crippled now. Will try to bake on: February 29, 2012, 02:46:31 PM
But it shows desktop, can you play videos with it, etc? Tried to run 3dmark03? Tried to run older games, which not require shader support, Unreal Tournament, Mafia for example or some 2d games like Fallout, Baldurs Gate?

It doesnt even like to show desktop always
Well yeah, then gpu chip is dying/almost dead. Desktop requires almost zero load from card. But shader units are still ok it seems - you still can mine with it with same performance. So, most probably its not mining killed the card. Well, its a lesson - never try to unlock shaders, never run it with custom "homebrewed" bios and mine with underclocked mem/max possible undervolting.

UPD. Not matter anymore. Picked Teamviewer.
372  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Mining speed depedence on memory speed. on: February 27, 2012, 07:54:27 PM
Between clocktweak and afterburner I've finally been able to lower the clocks on the memory of my 6870, but the results really have me confused. My understanding from other threads is that underclocking memory should have almost no effect on hashing speed. I found that not to be the case for my personal rig (2500k/Z68x-UD3H-B3/HIS6870), and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Voltage, core and memory speeds were verified in both afterburner and GPU-Z, while power draw was measured at the wall with a P3 Kill-A-Watt

Code:
V Core	Mem	Mhash Watts MH/W
1.168 1000 300 260 163 1.595092025
1.168 1000 450 277 178 1.556179775
1.168 1000 525 290 182 1.593406593
1.168 1000 600 300 186 1.612903226
1.168 1000 700 310 191 1.623036649
1.168 1000 800 318 196 1.62244898
1.168 1000 900 320 201 1.592039801
1.168 1000 1050 321 206 1.558252427

I know that there is supposed to be a maximum spread with the 6xxx GPUs of 125 MHz between core and memory speed, but both GPU-Z and AB reported the speeds being set correctly. Is there another explanation for these results, and is there anything I can do so I don't lose 60MHash/s by underclocking my memory?
LOL. 323 mhashes/s here @ 1000/300/1.051v with Sapphire 6870. Using 2.6 SDK?  Roll Eyes
373  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The miner with IP 0.0.0.0 is close to 50% on: February 27, 2012, 11:53:51 AM
Look at http://blockchain.info/pools , the IP 0.0.0.0 has 67 blocks out of 151 which is 44% of all blocks found in 24 hours!
Didn't you know? It's Zeta-Reticulans joined the party!

Можно и так и так. Через сбербанк немного выгодней.
А что насчет mastercard standard от сбербанка? Та же ситуация, должно быть?
376  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can you put a 7970 into an SDK2.5 mining box ? on: February 27, 2012, 08:50:25 AM

[0-0]barts is a 6870 (with 2.5 sdk) and [1-1]juniper is a 5770 with 2.1 sdk. Both sdks working great together. Shouldnt be a problem to throw in mix 2.6 and others together.
Wow I didn't know you could do that. How do you install different SDK for different cards?
Install  newer sdk first, then older on top of it. Should work that way... usually. lol

AFAIK 7xxx is only supported by 2.6 and higher. But its possible to install older SDKs on top of it (not sure about 2.6, but 2.5 works nicely with 2.1, 2.2 etc), and it will work without probs (with 5 and 6 series).

Its very inefficient imo. You cant overclock them good enough with so little space between them - wasted mhashes/$, unless you have some advanced cooling system for this monster. These shitty fans is not enough. And how much psu's it will need?
Plenty of space. I allowed 1.5 slot spaces (about 1 inch) for each card. Have you ever heard of Delta fans? About 100 decibels each, but they will provide all the cooling anyone could ever hope for  in a 120mm package.
And how are you going to overcome the limitation of number of gpus per one system? Whats the total cost? When do you plan to run it? Interesting to see this thing in action with temp stats vs clocks and mhash/$ efficiency.

Retarded design. Who will install so much cards and without any space between them.
...because I won't? The pic with 7x 5870s so close together was just a 24 hour trial run. Here is the frame I hope to obtain for this rig:

Anyways, for ultimate density I'd want to watercool 18x 5970s. Damn that would be epic. With proper waterblocks, they could all fit in a 4 U rack case, except for the hoses and shit.
