I think something like this would set smOS to the next level

First things first. But auto switching causes too many problems and WONT be implemented any soon. I have already big list and i dont want to add and add more things to it Smiley
Propably what i could implement is some informations from whattomine or other services. After my OS will have some more important functions i will think about this also.
Right now i am still busy with those fcking cables for SRRv1 Grin (once SSRv2 will be released i will have much more time because now i am helping my girfriend with those cables. It is masacre, each cable takes 7 minute to make it Cheesy
Anyway after that i will TRY TO IMPLEMENT this nice looking dashboard, see this below Smiley
Example: https://simplemining.net/inspinia/
Once i will migrate all functions to this, i will make grouping feature thich is right now most wanted.
I was thinking many days about rig grouping function..... First i wanted to do this in very simple way but after few days i realised that i want to do this in better way.
Anyway it needed more time to do and then i saw this beautifull dashboard which i told myself that i must have this !! Cheesy
Anyway you guys think its nice right ? Cheesy

It looks VERY cool! I am really looking forward to see you deploying everything you have in mind  Roll Eyes
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.1 (Windows/Linux) on: March 28, 2017, 01:53:09 PM

here is my bat file
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal ETH_WALLET -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://decred.mine.zpool.ca:5744 -dwal BTC_WALLET -allpools 1

Thank you. I tried the same, but I still receive a "Job timeout" from the DCR part. How is possible that some people can double-mine and other people can't?
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NOOB HELP! What are gas rates and how do they apply to mining? on: March 28, 2017, 12:47:23 AM
So I've done some googling and I read that it was the cost of a transaction to take place between two addresses (please correct me if I'm wrong!). I'm currently mining off of nanopool and they have this warning on their help page: "Do NOT use CONTRACT addresses for mining if it consumes more than 40000 gas." What are contract addresses exactly? How do I find out how much gas my address takes. also, this forum is a god send! thank you guys so much for all the helpful threads. Grin

Hi! Ethereum network is a complicated thing, and maybe my explanation will not be totally correct. Maybe someone will want to correct me.

Compared to, lets say, Bitcoin, Ethereum is not simply a crypto-currency: it is a platform for what are called "smart contracts". The blockchain does not include simply the transaction history, but also these contracts. Contracts are like small pieces of software that live on the blockchain, and will act and do their purpose depending on future triggers that are added to the blockchain. For a mining node (not ourselves as miners, but the node of our pools), processing a transaction of ether between two accounts is trivial, but running these contracts can consume a lot of computing time. So nodes need to be compensated, and the way to do it is by paying a fee called "gas" which value in ether is variable with time. A transaction needs gas only for once (it will be validated just once), but a contract is going to be running for days, weeks or who knows, maybe the same contract needs to be running for 1000 years, and for that reason contracts need to be associated with specific ethereum wallets that need to be "recharged" over time by the developer of the smart contract if she/he wants to keep running it. That is a contract address. But as I said, maybe I am over-simplifying things.

Instead what we use are regular wallet addresses. So, unless you have opened your wallet in a weird place, you will be good, don't worry. Happy mining :-)
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.1 (Windows/Linux) on: March 28, 2017, 12:22:55 AM
Hello guys, I have a question. While I am successful mining ETH, I am totally unable to dual mine . Probably is something very stupid I am missing in the options settings, but I am receiving constantly an error from the DCR or LBC pool:

“DCR: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...”

I am introducing as options settings like these:

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool eth.coinmine.pl:4000 -ewal myuser.myworker -epsw mypass -esm 2 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr-us.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal myuser.myworker -dpsw mypass -allpools 1

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLET -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr-us.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal myuser.myworker -dpsw mypass -mode 0 -dcoin dcr -allpools 1

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLET -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://lbry.suprnova.cc:6256 -dwal myuser.myworker -dpsw fulgor -mode 0 -dcoin lbc -allpools 1

Even using the examples on Claymore's first post with his own wallets I still get those errors

Do you see something wrong that may explain it? Maybe something related to my router or internet provider? :-(

its not you or anything
its everyone having issues with it
i get rejected shares on 3 different pools
tried mutliple settings even took off the overclocking and ran stock still the same issue
so its not just you almost everyone is having the same issue

Thanks, good to know I am not the only one suffering this issue. But as aarons6 says, and many other people in the forum claim, people is being successful double-mining... What is our issue, then?  Huh Huh
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: collection bios Rx470 on: March 28, 2017, 12:18:07 AM
I used the MSI RX 470 Gaming X 4GB Hynix and Samsung memshift files of OP and now I have 3 bricked GPUs. Don't use files of the OP. Even if I try to flash my original BIOS or the default BIOS, cards will be stopped by Windows due to a conflict. Not recognized by Claymore anymore. Not even if I use a Linux distro (simpleminer).

These files have bricked 3 of my cards.

Make sure you are running driver 16.11.5

Thanks for the ideas, but it is not working even on Linux distros, so it is not driver-related. It is not even working after the 1+8 short-circuit method. It is totally bricked

367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noob help pls: How do i edit the command line/ where do i even find it? on: March 27, 2017, 02:52:37 AM
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Smiley this whole time I was running the start.bat and I was getting so frustrated. what do the global variables do and why do I need them? do I open up the new .bat that contains the files before I start mining or after and how would I make sure that the .bat is affecting the mining and working? Thanks so much! you're a life saver! Grin

You are most welcome! The global variables are just optimizations for the GPUs during mining, and we should run them before running the Claymore miner every time we launch it. In my experience, everything goes ok without them too, but just in case it doesn't hurt to run them.

A .bat (batch) file is simply a list of tasks you want to run in the Windows command line in a specific order. If you create a file like the one I mentioned before in the claymore miner folder (simply open the notepad programm, paste it and save it as .bat instead of .txt) it will run the 5 optimizations and then it will run the Claymore miner. When using it, you will see a typical black window with those commands you wrote and after each one some "success!" message, and then the claymore miner will run immediately (actually, it will be less than a second before the miner starts).

Oh!! and if you paste a shortcut to the bat file on your Startup folder of Windows, the miner will run automatically when turning on the computer :-)
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 26, 2017, 09:22:15 PM
try this

1. remove "-mode 0"
2. replace "-dcoin decred"
3. add "-allpools 1" at the end of line

Thank you. I tried it, but the problem persists: ETH mining is ok, but DCR shows "Job timeout"  Undecided
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 26, 2017, 07:59:31 PM
Here are my settings if it helps (sorry don't have time to go through your bat lines, have to run):

-epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal <MyWallet>.$rigName -epsw x -allpools 1 -wd 1 -r 1 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal reelen1.$rigName -dpsw x -dcoin dcr -dcri 10

Thank you, reelen. I tried to copy/paste your settings and pools only replacing my wallets and workers, and it is still not workin: I hash ETH, but DCR gives me "Job Timeout"... I have even tried Claymore's default wallets and pools and I still have the same problem:

-epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4252 -dwal DsUt9QagrYLvSkJHXCvhfiZHKafVtzd7Sq4 -dpsw x -esm 1 -mode 0 -tt 70

This is so frustrating!  Huh Huh What am I doing wrong? Something related with my router or internet provider, perhaps?
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems adjusting GPU clocks (and more) on Windows 10 miner on: March 26, 2017, 07:31:56 PM
Sounds like it doesn't matter for you anymore but what I do is have the HDMI plug in the primary GPU (PCIe slot one on the mobo) and use afterburner for all OC.  I just run claymore plain vanilla, meaning without any switches for clocks.  Teamviewer for access allows you to run afterburner and have it work normally, the HDMI plug in the primary GPU should let you set a reasonable resolution on the remote screen, and keeping claymore from trying to set clocks makes everything work fine for me.

Yep, sounds like the perfect setup! It is a pity that Afterburner gives me some problems, as it is way more easier than Wattman
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noob help pls: How do i edit the command line/ where do i even find it? on: March 26, 2017, 05:27:11 PM
Welcome! If you use the file EthDcrMiner64.exe, it will use whichever settings you have included in the config.txt file

However, you'll probably want also to run the global variables that Claymore recommends, so I suggest you to create a .bat file that sets that variables and then runs the miner. Then just double-click the bat file every time you want to mine. Something like this:

Quote
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems adjusting GPU clocks (and more) on Windows 10 miner on: March 26, 2017, 05:14:55 PM
I solved the mistery. AMD software version was ok, and modded BIOS too. It was a conflict of Claymore miner with Wattman. I removed the lines "-mclock" and "-cclock" from the command line in the Claymore miner, I plugged the HDMI dummy directly to the main GPU and now I can overclock in Wattman without conflicts and Claymore shows me temperatures :-)
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.1 (Windows/Linux) on: March 26, 2017, 05:08:29 PM
Hey Claymore,
I need some help here. This is the first time im trying to dual mine DCR, but have mined Sia or Pascal in the past.
But DCR just says "DCR Authorisation Failed" at the beginning, and then all shares that I recieve end up rejected - 100%.
This is my connection string :
Quote
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool asia1.ethpool.org:3333 -mode 1 -ewal ExchanceWallet.HomePC -epsw x -etha 0 -dcoin pasc -dcri 1 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal ExchangeWallet.HomePC -dpsw x -wd 1 -r 1 -dbg -1 -mport 0 -eres 2
Now I will highlight that I am using a Polonix wallet address, so that could be causing the issue. Any thoughts/suggestions fellas?

You are using "-dcoin pasc". Shouldn't you use "-dcoin dcr" instead?

I am using the “claymore-eth v8.1” miner and I am introducing in the option lines settings like these:

After re-installing windows, gpu drivers and returning to my default BIOS files, I was able to recover the 2 Hynix memory GPU, but the Samsung memory GPU is totally lost.

I would not trust in these files

Thank you. I tried that but it didn't work :-(
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining? on: March 26, 2017, 02:17:05 AM
How much hashing, you mean? Up to 28 MHs per card. You are planning 5 cards, so --> 140 MHs

How much ether per day? That depends on the difficulty, and it changes (usually increases) every day. Today you would produce 0.245 Eth/day

I suggest you to use a calculator. For example, I like this one: http://whattomine.com/

First of all, thank you Tytanick for your tremendous work with this project. I love how it works and how easy makes running immediately a new rig. If you finally decide to implement a fee system (a $1/month/rig as you mentioned or whatever) I will still support you as I would consider it completely fair.

I tried to upgrade the kernel in a new rig I am still setting up. It is a 2x RX470 rig, not BIOS modded yet and I am not overclocking the memory as I am still experimenting settings:

- Old kernel:  44,9MHs @ 278W  . 1100/1650, powerstage=1
- New kernel: 45,5MHs @ 280W  . 1100/1650, powerstage=1
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems adjusting GPU clocks (and more) on Windows 10 miner on: March 25, 2017, 06:19:11 AM

AMD constantly changes signature check. Try an older drive then 16.9.2

I was reading that 16.9.2  no longer works on windows due to signature check.

Flashed bios that is.

Thanks Philip, but I still don't think it is a problem of the AMD software version. Unless I am totally wrong, I swear I have read several times in this forum that versions 16.9.2 is stable and works with claymore.

Besides, my present configuration does work: If I plug the HDMI dummy on the mobo HDMI port I can mine at 23-24 MHs, but overclocking does not work. If I plug it on the GPUs, I can overclock but I can't mine. In both cases I can't check temperatures. I think it is related to a software conflict between Afterburner, Wattman, Claymore and the HDMI port being "used" by the HDMI dummy. Or due to some step in the rig setup I totally missed...

In any case, just in case tomorrow I'll try an earlier version of AMD...
