361  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-07] Bitcoin's Performance Off the Charts, Literally on: November 07, 2017, 01:47:40 PM
Bitcoin is like nothing else on this chart, as bitcoin is a digital currency which attracted more investors, business, companies and even countries to learn and invest in cryptocurency as a better technology in monetary system. A system which creted to be decentralized and supported by many people from different backgrounds, it can't be manipulated easily. However, current price and market cap still not enough to reach stability in bitcoin environment, every bad news could affect bitcoin price, especially a big country such as China or USA regulate or ban cryptocurrency.
362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Buy Bitcoin Now - At USD6000 on: November 07, 2017, 01:23:36 PM
To preddict the market, we have to pay attention to the more stable prices before and after Mt. Gox in 2013/2014.

~snip~

      "Don't buy now".
It may even be wise to lock in some "real" fiat money instead.

Another question that others should ask:
"Where does this USD 6000 quote come from?".
Is it really true that there is a "spot" market between BTC and USD. But how can trading exchanges give spot quotes when a bitcoin confirmation of 6 blocks may take hours? So we have to know how "spot" real is the USD 6000/BTC that we are given.

Also ask:
"If you want to sell your bitcoins now, would the orders get through with confirmation?"
"How long does the sell confirmation takes?"
"Are there real buyers at current prices?"

There is no connection between MT. Gox and current price, exchanges have to pay attention to their security and keep most bitcoin in cold storage.

Do not buy at $6000?
Current price is $7100, LoL
Bitcoin price gain more value in the last few months compare to bitcoin journey in the last 7 years.
And bitcoin will continue to rise over $8K in this year I guess. What about in 2018? and you said do not buy.
Well, I prefer to sell instead of buy Grin
363  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: I have been stolen 10 btc by fake scam electrum website on: November 07, 2017, 12:59:08 PM
If you use blocktrail.com rather than blockchain.info they have a mentions tab for each address where it shows you if the address shows up in an internet search.

Of the 3 addresses you listed, the first was mentioned in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878727.msg21694998#msg21694998 in another scam. The other two seem to be linked to Polinex.

You could try and contact Polinex support but I wouldn't hold out much hope of a response. You could also contact your local police but the chances of them even understanding your problem let alone being able to help are again very small.

In the end we are all responsible for taking care of the security of our own Bitcoins.

Indeed, everyone should be aware of any fraudulent activity. How could you fall into a trap of "fake wallet" in the first place?
Glad to know about the fake site, and hopefully you can trace your bitcoin before it is sold even though you have small chance to get it back.
I've tried to check this fake site, but couldn't be accessed anymore.
364  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Scalability? on: November 07, 2017, 12:44:48 PM
Will bitcoin every be able to handle more than a few hundred transactions per second ?

Few hundred transactions per second? Not for current nodes in my opinion.
Look at this; https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions > there are over 30,770 unconfirmed transactions.
Total Fees      5.03496607 BTC
Total Size        49017.571 (KB)
Transactions Per Second   3.88

Every block included into blockchain every 10 minutes, and most miners submit about 1Mb for each block.
There is 49 Mb unconfirmed transactions in waiting list right now.
365  Economy / Securities / Re: Mining Center in Kuwait - No power cost - no tax on: November 07, 2017, 12:22:12 PM
Unfortunately Op never update this thread anymore since few months ago, but I'm not sure about no power cost, as Kuwait have electricity cost:
Electricity and water rates in Kuwait have been revised to encourage consumers to rationalise consumption, Dr. Mashaan Al Otaibi, assistant undersecretary of the ministry of electricity and water for planning and training, said in a statement.

The new rates, that came into effect in the investment sector on Tuesday, are five fils (nearly $0.016) per kWh and two dinars ($6.63) per 1,000 imperial gallons of water, he said at a press conference.

"The new tariffs took force in the commercial sector in May and the tariffs of the government sector will rise from two fils to 25 fils (some $0.082) per kWh and from KD0.8 to KD4 ($13.27) per 1,000 gallons as of November 22, 2017," Dr. Al Otaibi noted.

https://www.khaleejtimes.com/region/kuwait/kuwait-water-electricity-prices-up-by-500-per-cent

It's not cheap I guess, seems normal rate just like in most countries. Yes, there is no personal tax in Kuwait which is convenient to live in this country, but not so profitable for mining farm.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 07, 2017, 02:22:52 AM
There is no certain answer I guess, because it depend on your bankroll, but drug dealers and weapon dealers may be able to earn more profit daily.
Cryptocurrency profit generate by people who invest in this environment, which mean you will get more profits if you have bigger capital to invest instead of rely on small amount of money due to smaller multiplier. Big players mean bigger profits, the same thing goes on every single business in this world.
If you want to make more profits, create some source of income, invest in bitcoin monthly and keep it save for 10 years.
367  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [DISCUSSION] oronjo.com is trusted? on: November 07, 2017, 01:50:06 AM
It seems oronjo site has been around for a long time, even before satoshibox was launched.
I'm surprised oronjo does not get more attention, maybe due to lack of advertising.
Oronjo.com has Google PR 3 and its top keyword is "oronjo" with 6.17% of search traffic, 25.3% of its traffic from France and 24.5% from USA
On the other hand, satoshibox may existed since 2013, most of its traffic from India 20.2% and USA 9.0%
Well, it's worth to try oronjo to sell digital product or any other product you want to.
368  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: why 74k unconfirmed transaction ? on: November 06, 2017, 04:55:03 PM
Since bitcoin gains more value, unconfirmed transaction increase as well, seems like there is a connection between all of this network obviously.
Whenever bitcoin price rise up significantly within hours, people tend to transfer their bitcoin from web wallets or cold storage into exchanges in order to extract profits before its price fall down, which create a spike of transactions waiting to be processed by miners.  I'm not sure if some people spam transactions to delay others transactions, but they will lose bitcoin in form of "fees" due to we have to pay higher fees to be included into next block. But, bitcoin network seems diminish faster after segwit activated 2 months ago.
369  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hey Bitmain.. on: November 06, 2017, 01:36:24 PM
one out 100 orders may failed to deliver due to an error from their shipment process or customer didn't submit their address correctly or most case change address.
Yes, there should be a problem during shipment process, but if you provide more information about the orders, we may figure out the real problem.
What kind of ASIC you've ordered? Did you paid in btc or bch? I'm not sure, but the last time I checked, last batch should be paid in bch.
However, there are a some problems about Bitmain failed to deliver customers orders, such as this ; https://www.facebook.com/pg/Bitmain/reviews/
370  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-06]Bitcoin Needs New Proof-of-Work Chain After SegWit2x, Says Bitcoin.o on: November 06, 2017, 01:16:40 PM
Segwit2x still has the attraction over %83, mean 2x still has enough hashrate, support from miners.
But, this debate has been around since few months ago and it's clear that bitcoin core against 2x due to some problems will be occurs in the future.
Well, as long as core developers and 2x supporters follow the consensus rules nothing to worry about as the founder has created bitcoin in this way, and we will see the result on November 16th.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price Worth $7500 on: November 06, 2017, 12:51:37 PM
Bitcoin Price Will Have ‘No Difficulty’ Hitting $10,000,
After Bitcoin hit $7,000 and stayed above it Monday, the virtual currency’s most famous fans are confident $10,000 will involve little effort.
Will the bitcoin price reach $10k by the end of the year, then what about the altco price??

I won't say bitcoin will easily reach $10,000 in this month due to the last rally from $6400 to $7400 surprisingly happened in just few days.
Bitcoin gain so much value in this year, especially in the last few months within August ($3000) to October. There are some big investors join in the market, maybe wall street investors, but if they cash out, bitcoin may get corrected again. On the other side, altcoins seems has normal fluctuation during bitcoin's rally, even some coins decline significantly, but cryptocurency prices have recovered right now.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a bubble? on: November 06, 2017, 12:22:05 PM
There is a story, as on the eve of the Great Depression Rockefeller was cleaning his shoes from a street cleaner. And the cleaner asked him if it was worth selling shares or waiting a little longer? After that, Rockefeller called his stock exchange broker with the order to sell all the securities at once: "If there is already a shoe cleaner on the stock exchange, then there's nothing for me to do!".

Even if this story is fake, do you think it can happen with bitcoin?

LoL, funny story from a shoe cleaner, I guess.
Consider Rockefeller wealth, this family could pump bitcoin from $1000 to $7500 instantly, within a month or in few phase within a year, collecting so many bitcoins for them.
Waiting bitcoin increase even bigger, maybe $15,000 or $20,000 and then cash out their investment. We may see this digital currency crash again as people will follow to panic sell, it become a bigger snow ball everyday. But, bitcoin has so many supporters around the world, and it's not easy to manipulate bitcoin price, in this case; the Rockefeller family may not invest in bitcoin at all.
373  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Telegram channels on: November 06, 2017, 11:40:55 AM
Meh, I think the only good channels are the ones that are composed of a small number of people whom you trust fully. Cause if you're going to join a group with hundreds, or even thousands of people, you're probably in a group where people are just trying to sway the market through all the traders on tele. It's been done before and will be done again, but if you do want this here are some links.

https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@jza/crypto-telegram-groups-for-all

It's different between telegram channels and telegram group, people can't spam their opinion in telegram channels obviously.
On the other hand, telegram group may full of useless chat among the members, especially for bounty group or trading group.
I've joined several telegram group and few channels, only two group seems informative and attracted due to people in this group have same purpose about something and no one dare to spam Grin. There are several telegram channels which will be useful, such as News channels about cryptocurrency.
374  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia will regulate cryptourrencies on: November 06, 2017, 10:56:35 AM
we know that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a pro cryptocurrency and he has several planning about crypto in Russia, including mining bitcoin to compete with China in mining industry, on the other hand Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina seems against cryptocurrency. However, the last meeting; the ministry proposed to register cryptocurrency miners and to license crypto exchanges. But, it's almost a month and there is no any sign of newest regulation about this matter. Cryptocurrency bring some advantages into economy, as long as Government regulate exchanges, it will not be a problem as they can over watch money flows from abroad.
375  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin Investment Group on: November 06, 2017, 09:56:44 AM
You have to provide more information about this projects:
Some questions:
- as you mentioned; run by a local Accountant, who is this guy?
- invests in peer to peer lending; what it is? If there is any detail about this "lending"
- minimum deposit is 0.01 BTC, but it is 12 month fixed tern 5% investment;
do you know the increase in bitcoin exchange rate after 12 months? More than 5% obviously, holding bitcoin for 12 Months will be more profitable than invest in peer to peer lending.
376  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex withdrawals denied on: November 06, 2017, 12:58:01 AM
I have withdrawn all funds from bittrex since 2 months ago, fortunately before all of these problem occurs.
I've never verify id to register and just use this site for trading before.
And then, people claim bittrex disabled accounts, blocks accounts and denied withdrawals due to id verification doesn't match, or customers still not fulfill all the documents which required. Seems like government or legal authority keep pushing exchanges with billions of dollars transactions to being in accordance with the law about KYC and AML.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when the market is full of red on: November 05, 2017, 12:59:30 PM
There's nothing to do when altcoins price decline significantly, just wait until the time come for those coins to rise. It's normal thing in trading market, as people invest to extract profit, whenever bitcoin price increase, altcoins tend to fall. That's why, invest in bitcoin is better for long term and consider has slight risk than invest in altcoins. But, doesn't mean bitcoin will always give you highest profit as altcoins price are cheaper than bitcoin, you may get bigger profits by purchase more coins, big in multiplier number.
378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are these Bitcoin cards tied to Visa? on: November 05, 2017, 12:46:57 PM
Well, most third party (even BitPay) as intermediary for customers and spending bitcoin in the form of cards always have their own method and exchange rate to calculate bitcoin price to fiat currency. In this case, they have to comply all the documents about legality of Visa and deal with various sectors (merchants, etc) to accept their cards. But, if you do not trust them, no need to deal with them.
379  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-04] Turkish Central Bank President: “Cryptocurrencies May Contribute to on: November 04, 2017, 12:26:13 PM
Luckily for bitcoiners who lives in Turkey, indeed, it's so rarely for a Central Bank President support bitcoin and encourage financial sector to adopt bitcoin as he stated "Cryptocurrencies May Contribute to Financial Stability".
He's not actually encouraging the financial sector to adopt Bitcoin, just read the article properly. It's nothing more than a thought of him that crypto currencies may contribute to financial stability, and that's it.

He also put out some sort of a warning against people using it, so it's somewhat of a mixed article. The only positive thing here is that they see potential usefulness in crypto currencies.

At this point it still doesn't mean anything since they might change from stance a month or two later, which is something other governments are doing on a frequent basis as well ~ reason enough to take it with a grain of salt.

Obviously, not encourage, but I just thought people could easily use crptocurrency in there.
As most countries don't have fixed regulations regarding cryptocurrency, but government and central bank start to pay attention to cryptocurrency especially bitcoin which gain so much value in this year. They have to regulate bitcoin and other coins in order to prevent illegal activities, fortunately President of CRBT has positive respond to cryptocurrency.
380  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-04] Turkish Central Bank President: “Cryptocurrencies May Contribute to on: November 04, 2017, 12:05:18 PM
Luckily for bitcoiners who lives in Turkey. Indeed, it's so rarely for a Central Bank President support bitcoin and encourage financial sector to adopt bitcoin as he stated "Cryptocurrencies May Contribute to Financial Stability". As there are no complicated regulations regarding cryptocrrency, people could easily trade it and even they want to sell luxury apartments for bitcoin just like in Dubai few months ago. However, until a country issue a regulation which stated bitcoin as a legal payment or allows their citizens to use cryptocurrency in daily basis for business, etc, it just like like a spark, but we need a big fire Grin
