361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest now? or wait for down turn? on: April 15, 2019, 09:44:30 AM
Do it in small amounts if you're not that confident yet. If it drops to 4 or 3k at least you still have some left to buy again and average your losses. It's always a good time to buy when the market is just starting to move up but you have to have some leverage so don't go all in. The bear market is likely done for now so the price may be in for more of an upward movement than down.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From when you are involved with bitcoin? Had u wondered why you not meet before? on: April 14, 2019, 04:48:44 PM
It looks like many of us here have dealt or at least have known btc in its earlier years. I've first encountered btc about 4 or 5 years ago and i was really hesitant then about it but never did i think the price would achieve this point in just that number of years.  If only i had a small hint i would've gone all in.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: April 14, 2019, 02:40:25 PM
And this now got me worried its adviceable not to tell anyone how much cryptocurrency you have or hold presently who knows? You might be a target, let's be more extra careful

You have wisely said a vital point to us that we don't need to disclose of how much cryptocurrency we are holding in our wallets. It can help the criminals to detect that persons details.

Unless the criminals have access to kyc details you provided to an exchange. I've read this kind of story probably two times now and it's alarming. You're both right that basic precaution should include never bragging or disclosing how much btc or crypto you own. It'll do more harm than good unless you tell to an extremely trusted family member or loved one.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can you reverse or cancel a bitcoin transaction? on: April 14, 2019, 02:33:10 PM
I don't think it is possible for one to cancel or reverse as the case maybe Bitcoin transaction before and after first comfirmation or after. And you have to careful of whoever promise you such services for there are scam site everywhere looking for who they will milk his or her money in the name of trying to helping you.

Yeah sometimes it's a scammer or a phishing site that gets people but most of the time it's their own carelessness. We should understand that already that before we make the final send, we have to make sure we placed the correct information first. It's a one miss you die deal 😛
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What motivated you to get into Bitcoin and Blockchain in general? on: April 14, 2019, 02:08:35 PM
I'm going for the profit.
But at the same time I'm looking forward for the development of cryptocurrency
The blockchain its self is a very interesting invention.

Lol. Having profit as your main motivation can be real dangerous you know. Most of the people who lost a lot during the 2018 bear market entered because of that reason. No research, no study, just the expectation of making quick profit. Go for the long term use bro. Profit will naturally come when btc adoptions is underway.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin coming to my waves wallet for some reason on: April 14, 2019, 02:01:10 PM
Anyone here get bch to their wallet?  Have very tiny amount.

you should be very carefull a lot coin named the same are just spam coin, on waves desk is many spam project, never seen so many sheet coin anyware!

It's probably sent randomly to random addresses and these coins won't do anything if they'e there. Keep it or transfer it to an exchange to have it disposed. Lucky you if you get coins that do have value lol. I've been receiving a few coins i haven't even heard of in my erc20 wallet but i just disregard them.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on 'Bitcoin and Friends' Animation Series on Youtube on: April 14, 2019, 01:32:45 PM
It really doesn't matter much since the stuff is on YouTube. It simply means that only those on the  Internet get to view it. That leaves out the illiterate and non-internet suavy dudes. We need this "Barney Bitcoin and Friends" cartoon series on terrestrial TV so that we can get more folks into the community, and not some YouTube channel.

Lol. Goodluck on that dude. Goodluck getting tv networks to show that. But btc caters mainly to internet literate people since it is internet based. It doesn't really give much information about crypto and btc but i can raise awareness if it gets enough following.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2019, 12:20:08 PM
if the regulation suport bitcoin i think it will, but if there are the regulation that makes the bitcoin can't make somthing new i think it will not give the benefit for bitcoin, and bitcoiners. we all hope here that regulation about bitcoin in the future will makes big changes

It's hard to tell in advance which country will regulate Bitcoin in some specifuc way. But I think most of countries would make positive regulation that would give Bitcoin legal framework and some limitations, of course, but will not ban it or put it on the nargins of financial world so I think that regulation could really benefit the Bitcoin.

I think so too. When that happens, it'll probably start a snowball effect of adoption since people will have increased confidence in a regulated system. Even with all the positive effects of a decentralized, anonymous currency like bitcoin, people will feel more secured if they think they have somewhere to run to in case things go wrong and that regulations are implemented to prevent that from happening.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What today you can buy for the crypto? on: April 14, 2019, 12:17:01 PM
The list will increase in numbers as the adoption continues.
It's only a small list but with partnerships from our local exchanges, we can use our bitcoin for the products and services.
In general we cannot expect that big businesses will just easily accept bitcoin as there is a risk issue, the price is volatile and they might not be able to control the risk which would result to loss in business operation.

Not now i guess but big online stores like amazon would likely pick up crypto and allow usage of it in purchases. Today i'm limited to pirchasing phone credits and a few online purchases but the wallet i'm using converts the btc to fiat so i can say there aren't much yet thst accepting straight bitcoins or crypto.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AT THE END, ONLY YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF on: April 14, 2019, 12:12:58 PM
We have seen how some world class investors and economic pundits and some big banks have criticized the BITCOIN calling it a bubble without any underlying value but a merely speculation and a Pyramid Scheme. We all know they had to adopt this FUD strategy in order to protect their malicious empire and ensure their continues control over the people's sovereign wealth through policy manipulation, they see this new technology as a big threat to their bad practice. Instead of telling the people the truth, they praise the blockchain and publicly denounce the bitcoin.

                                                            WHAT IF?
What if men like Warren Buffet makes a U-turn and praises the bitcoin that he had not fully study it and understood it during the times he did criticized it? that during those years of his criticism, he had bought some bitcoin through a third party and kept same, just to be sure of the direction. What will his disciples that all believed him do when the bitcoin might have already hit $250,000 by year 2020. Oh boy, they just can't help but have themselves to blame, since he didn't tell them under duress never to buy the bitcoin. At the end when we listen to expert on every issue and they later turn out not to be 100% right, our simply take responsibility for allowing someone else think for us. Wisely choose your destiny.

Men like warren buffet wants you to listen to them and pay heed to their advices. I also think that he doesn't fully believe all his negative statements about bitcoin and just says the things he say to try and get people out. Making your own research takes you away from these people's influence. It's going to feel a lot better when you decide on your own and they're proven wrong.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: April 14, 2019, 10:24:37 AM
Decentralization is one of the greatest dreams of Satoshi looking at the how the blockchain technology and its immutable distributed ledger has been designed. Well it saddens my heart that the greed of men has led to the abusing of this freedom and liberty that Satoshi wanted us to have in the financial industry. Look at the way people are being scammed and robbed in broad day light just because crypto is embedded in anonymity and decentralization. I think we've all had it to the peak, how about we have some level of regulation with the activities in the crypto industry. Share your thoughts commrades.

Scammers and fraudsters are present everywhere, as greed is embedded as a basic character in the human behavior. Decentralization has nothing to do with it. Satoshi invented Bitcoin as a tool to end the exploitation of the common people by the central banks. If someone is using it for criminal activity, then we can't blame Satoshi and his invention for it.

Yeah we can't blame satoshi but still that doesn't change the fact that these selfish, greedy people are using this feature to their advantage. That's why i think we should be too tight when it comes to having regulations applied since we can't control people abusing it. Yeah we can't avoid such abuses even with certain regulations but it's still better than doing nothing at all.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: April 14, 2019, 08:00:18 AM
In the first place I have to say congratulations on your lost and found lost bitcoin. As for me it has been a great lesson I have learnt when it comes to holding coins or token and it lost value or losing a key to my wallet. It is part of the lesson and experience one have to gather in life and there is no regret in any of these experience forward I have moved not thinking about the past any longer.
People who dump during the bear will have to learn the hard way, if they could have waited for this moment, they might be able to sell with profit.
But, it's never late to ride with the market again, seems like this time around we are moving to a bull market and this is going to be an exciting year going to bitcoin halving.

Yeah since the market runs in waves most of the time, there will always be a time to get in and get out. It's just that people who lose big the first time blame the market instead of taking their losses as lessons to be better. Just look back through btc's history and you'll knownthat even though the bear market may take a lot  of time, it does break and pass on.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren buffet now investing in bitcoin on: April 14, 2019, 07:44:14 AM
Big news! It seems that he has identified the bottom and is confident that a recovery is under way. Berkshire now has a bitcoin department which is why the price pumped this past week. Go get some!

*EDIT (10.30pm 1 April 2019)*

Happy April fools! jajaja Cheesy
Although this time next year it might actually be true Wink

What a pathetic attempt for an April fool's joke. The vast majority of us, the bitcoin users don't care about Warren Buffet and his Berkshire Hathway. His investment tactics earned him a lot of profit during the 1980s and 1990s. But unfortunately, the guy has fallen out with modern technology. He is like someone still using the 1.44 MB floppy disks to store the data, when 256 GB USB sticks are readily available.

I know pretty lame right? Though i've already read somr articles before stating the same thing and they aren't about april fools lol. Warren buffet has made quite the reputation in the business world but we all know he doesn't know much about bitcoin to be spewing out all those remarks.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Find Satoshi? on: April 14, 2019, 07:41:56 AM
Finding Satoshi's addresses isn't a big secret, but it doesn't tell you who he is.
He'll need to spend his coins first to get any clues.
You're right. But I think this will never happen.Whether it is 1 person or a group-it does not matter. The material world for them lies in another plane. Therefore, do not wait for transactions from Satoshi's wallet.

And is anybody looking for him at all? If there are,  for what purpose? I don't think finding satoshi nakamoto will make any difference in anyone's life and i agree with what you said, there's no certainty that this is only one guy we're talking about. I think it' futile to try to know who or where satoshi is.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale Work? on: April 10, 2019, 06:09:25 PM
If you use any strategy in a routine, the gambling site will detect it and they will apply such a mechanism that you will not be able to win again using the same strategy.

I think from what you have said above can be true and this is the reason that blockchain gambling site is better and I have also seen many of such sites being developed lately. The gambling space is changing for better and you can be sure you won't have a reason for fear of not winning multiple times on a roll.

There are sites that allow such strategies. Anyway, to be able to succrssfully apply maryingale, you have to have a huge amount for a capital. And if it's digital gambling you're using this with, you may be surprised that the longer you play the longer your losing streak gets.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 10, 2019, 06:06:28 PM
Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki confirmed his retirement from the NBA on Tuesday, April 9, calling time on a 21-season career that saw him become the greatest European player ever to grace the league.

Another legend leaves the pitch and now it is time for young stars to shine. Thank you Dirk for the amazing moments you have offered us.

Oh thank God he is going to retire. I thought he is going to take one more year since he is near creating a new all time scoring record.
I am just glad he is not just for numbers.
He will always be the star of Mavericks. There is no doubt about that.
He made a great championship game that will never be forgotten.
I watched that all and tears still fell in my eye as I watch it again.
I need a copy of his walk from just being a tall thin player into being a great shooter.

Yes, I still remember how he carried the team against Miami's big three and won the championship. I think they are the third seed that time behind, San Antonio and defeated the second seed LA Lakers (4-0). Surely he will be missed specially that long stride of his and his patented one leg shot.

The guy has always been oblivious the numbers. Dirk sees only winning. His achievements come naturally because he's trying to win every single game. Dirk and dwade gone in the same year. How time flies. Two of the greatest players to play the game and probably two of the classiest ever!
377  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is Your Favorite YouTube Channel? on: April 10, 2019, 05:16:44 PM
I'm subscribed to a lot of travel vlog channels from different parts of the world and also a lot of sports channels including wwe. But onechannel i find very entertaining is antimatter. I won't day the contents of the channel but you can check it if you want. It has that south parky vibe into and delves into some very unconventional topics lol.
378  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto and Videogames on: April 10, 2019, 05:13:50 PM
Hey guys I've been wondering lately if there's some way that cryptocurrencies and videogames can relate? and how?

App games perhaps. I was able to play tron dogs last year and it's surprisingly fun plus you get to use your trx's for making purchases ingame. There's a huge selection of cutesies and i don't know why there's not much noise about that because i found it enjoyable 😁
379  Other / Off-topic / Re: World in 100 years on: April 10, 2019, 05:06:47 PM
After a hundred years, I do not think that much will change. Just add a bunch of innovations that surprise us now. And the rest everything will be the same.

You think so? I don't. With the pace technology has taken just in the last 2 decades, and with how climate change is growing more and more evident the past few years, 100 years is probably too long for us experience a significant change in a lot of aspects in our lives. The cure for cancer and aids may have been discovered then, or all the polar ice caps may have already melted submerging a lot of major cities under water. Change is going to come quickly for us now compared to the past 100 years.

Facebook is the worst social network in the world

Meh. What the hell. This is likely a deadpost already since facebook confirmed and announced that they're having issues during the time that this thread was opened. And it was already resolved that same day. I guess we have to lock this thread already before we get a few more comments like this.
