361  Economy / Speculation / Re: ATH will be in 2021! on: December 09, 2020, 09:55:51 AM
It might happen next year.

I think it would stay at a good price this year and the continuation of that ATH would happen next year. Maybe the price would fall under $16K but knowing how active the people are now, it might just go back quickly to this price and would hit the new ATH. We might see the price next year at $22K to $25K.

Bitcoin still has a higher chance to surpass $20k this year as we just start this month with $19k, so it will be categorized as a new ATH as well. Nevertheless, compared to the possibility of bitcoin price in 2021 that may reach over $30k, definitely a new page for the market. If bitcoin can't break the $20k resistance by mid-December, then the ath might be postponed until 2021.

And right now the price is now falling to $17.9K.

I mean we are all expecting the price to fall as it won't just keep on increasing and won't be staying at that price height for a very long time. For now, it is also great that we are seeing the price fall since this might be just a small step back for the further jump in the next few weeks before the year ended. This is just the same in the past years.

War might happen but it won't actually kill Bitcoin.

As far as I know, currencies are not affected during the past wars. It is not that economies stop during wars and the value of currencies or fiat is going flat. Stocks would obviously be affected, the market would obviously be affected but despite that, besides the fact that the cryptocurrency market will also be affected, I don't think it will die.

Some countries might be affected if the lines of their internet connections will damage as total wrecked out, that will really hurt bitcoiners
but in general it will continue to exist.

I do agree with that.

But if you think of it, the users are the ones affected by that and not directly Bitcoin. The price might go down but that is not something we are new to, right? That is the reason it will not kill Bitcoin, the value will just be affected.

i dont agree with your statement that said currencies are not affected during the past wars, because when a war occurs, it will give an affect to volatility of the currencies include crypto as well. A physical war can be far more devastating to a country's economy. You can read more about global events include war in here

I am talking about the use of it.

Since cryptocurrencies won't be that of use since there will obviously be a problem with the internet connections, fiat is not affected since it can still be used during wars. The problem though is the volatility and its value

364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 05:31:26 AM
That is awesome.

I don't know how many tourists go to Japan to visit their casinos but that might help their economy since that might invite some gamblers although as I said, I don't know the percentage of those tourists visiting Japan for their casinos. I don't think other countries as well would benefit from it since I don't think they would implement these especially those countries that earned a lot of taxes from casinos or gambling.

Japan is not really famous for its casinos and being a highly expensive destination (if we take in to account the hotel rent, conveyance.etc) I don't expect a lot many tourists would visit Japan just for gambling. I have a feeling that these measures are mostly directed towards Japanese nationals. A lot of Japanese citizens travel to destinations such as Macau, in order to visit casinos. The government want them to visit the Japanese casinos.

That makes sense.

Still, the idea is to attract tourists which we do agree that Japan would not be that popular since we all know how other countries' land-based casinos are more popular. These Japanese Nationals also might not be attracted by this but still, if a tourist went to visit Mt. Fuji and they wanted to gamble, they might just take this as an additional.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 08, 2020, 04:05:19 AM
Am I the only one annoyed by this?

I know that he wanted to earn easy money by facing these YouTubers or whatever he wanted to fight but does it really need to be Logan Paul? KSI would be better since KSI defeated Logan Paul. Maybe he's brother Jake Paul is better? What's up with this matches? Hope they would be raising money for someone or for some institution. That would be the only way this would be rightful.

367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: December 05, 2020, 12:05:45 PM
Awesome post, love seeing the probabilities for each type of hand! Poker got really big here in the United States around 2003-4 time frame.  I was in college at the time and when I first learned how to play I was absolutely hooked.  We would play every night for months on end.  The only problem with sit down texas holdem is making sure you've got absolutely nothing to do for hours on end.  I would often just go all in when I wanted to go do something.  Other than that, it is easily my favorite gambling game hands down too.
Thank you for appreciation, have to admit that I am the same although it was around my senior hihschool year when I learn to fully play and it was the perfect game to play on dead hours of our classes, it really is time consuming and that is part of the reason that I haven't played awhile.

I kind of relate to this.

I just learned Poker in 2018 when I first watched a professional tournament which is called WSOP. It is amazing and I've been following some facebook pages to watch some videos. But in the past we've been playing too every lunch break at my teacher's cubicle ainc eit is the safest place with a game like poker we call Tongits.
368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what successfull trading tips have worked with you so far ? on: December 05, 2020, 11:49:51 AM
The tip that worked so far is about managing risk.

We all know how volatile Bitcoin is, the same with every other cryptocurrencies being traded, bought and sold. My friend told me to do some risk management instead of making low amount trades since that would be safer rather than putting my money in small amount investments.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heavy BTC resistance at $20k on: December 05, 2020, 11:27:19 AM
There is heavy BTC resistance at $20,000. Last time also, this was the level.

I think it is time to partially liquidate BTC and move the money to Cardano/Ripple/Tron etc. These coins haven't maxed out yet and still have 2-3x potential.

What's your thought?

I have the same opinion. I think bitcoin is currently having a stable period and it's time for the altcoin to move on month, investing most of the bitcoins into a few coins at the moment is a great option to get more profit.

I've been also doing this but I am having some doubts.

I might make a mistake so I am having these doubt where to put my money. I've been waiting for Bitcoin's $20K+ but it seems it would not be happening this year. Ripple is having its fork so I am also putting some in there, other popular altcoins too so I hope BTC price could be higher.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza Hut accepts bitcoin on: December 05, 2020, 08:08:45 AM
It is great that they accepted Bitcoin.

The thing is that about the government, I don't think there would be a problem. They would still be paying the taxes they needed to pay to the government. Hope they can cope with the volatility and the fees that they would be using in terms of refunds.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: December 05, 2020, 07:08:20 AM
That is so true.

Each projects can give the same profit they are expecting. If they wanted to earn more they should not just depend on the bounties since no one knows how will the project go. As the others said, it is a risk and as a bounty hunter they should understand the risks they are taking.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 05, 2020, 06:19:42 AM
Don't think too negatively, what you experience is normal and I have experienced it too. Do not think too much and
end up stressing you out, what happens to you is just bad luck. There are no tricks, nor rigged. My advice is just move on,
which anyone can experience it. Because basically gambling is based on luck, that's what you need to remember.

We all did.

We lost and we win, there is no wage or bet with a 100% possibility of winning. We only have the higher odds and the lower odds, the higher risks you take the higher profit you could bet from that wage. Each team or players could influence the game that could turn that odds around, the same as those players, we only have 2 results to wait.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: December 05, 2020, 06:12:30 AM
I know what bankroll management is just a pity that I never stick to my own rules and use my entire stake  Grin

I am just knowing that reading this thread.

I've been betting myself in some online casinos and doing some strategies which is fun. I am not addicted to it, I can stop when I wanted to that is why I am thought itnwould be the same with other people, but it is not. We are in a hard times so I hope you could stick to that bankroll management, its for your own good.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 05, 2020, 02:48:01 AM
Never encountered such airdrops.

Its been a while since I joined one but I only joined a few of them since I am also scared at that time. I joined some bounty campaigns but not much in airdrops since I thought I could only get shillings from it. At that time the only requirement is just sharing it on social medias and filling up a google doc.

376  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: December 04, 2020, 12:04:09 PM
i think US already Create their own crypto. what we call (xrp) ripple a US based technology company. when they first lunch this crypto theysaid xrp can kill BTC.

There is no way it will happen.

Ripple might be one of the altcoins that could give people some profit in the near future, since another fork might happen but it will never overtake Bitcoin in terms of its value and its popularity. It will stay as an altcoin, an alternative coin to Bitcoin like the others.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is digital gold? on: December 04, 2020, 11:42:35 AM
Bitcoin is bitcoin, it is what it is.

A lot of people are been saying that it is a Digital Gold but for me it is just Bitcoin. It is a digital currency and the most expensive of them all the reason why we usually compare it to gold. Bitcoin is so volatile, Gold isn't that volatile, as these two is limited, Gold can be used in some ways while Bitcoin is just a digital asset.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 04, 2020, 10:19:51 AM
There is no trick here.

People thought that they could win, that they could have these huge profit after they gamble but unless they can control themselves to stop at the right moment, they will never be able to get profits and have a higher chance of losing that profit in the earlier stages. It is not rigged, it is not a trick. If there is two reasons that would be the gambler themselves and luck.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: December 04, 2020, 06:25:16 AM
I think I can do most of what the OP said but I think what I find difficult is the second one the one with the stop chasing losses usually I write down my losses and try to recover it but I think the OP is right we should not chase our losses.

One of the most popular mistakes we've done in the past.

You already lost when you think of chasing for your losses, you should immediately stop if that became your goal. Our goal is to have fun, to be entertained while we risk our money into these games. I think we can also call that greedy since we are thinking we could take it all back and just take back the time lost with wins.

Well no, our goal should be to make money and have fun at the same time, that's being realistic man as no one would have fun if they lose their money in gambling, coming from me who gambles in different gambling sites and have done a lot of mistakes in gambling already.

Controlling your bankroll is a must, but the goal should be the win.

That's nice hearing you're side.

I do gamble but for me it is an entertainment, a game to pass time and not to spend most of your money in there. I don't look at how I loss or win but how I enjoy my wages everyday, I don't do anything I open a site and do some wages. I even have WSOP app in my phone to do some bets but that is different since it does not include fiat or cryptocurrencies to wage.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2020, 05:53:03 AM
IMO, the biggest threat to bitcoin is the community itself, especially the one who are not well-educated about bitcoin. By mentioning community, I mean all the people who involved on this field, directly and indirectly.
When a missleading information about bitcoin shared by this kind of people, it could be repeated massively, and become a truth/fact. Just like how 2 bankers that I saw in separete times thinks bitcoin is a kind of MLM  Grin.
Imagine this “well-educated” people on financial sector can make their customers/clients believe in their words about bitcoin easily.

But that could be turned around immediately, right?

This community knows what is Bitcoin and what is not. There are a lot of threads they can read here in the forum and I think they trust the words of the people here rather than the words of other people talking about Bitcoin being a scam or a Ponzi scheme.

I was addressing people who are involved on Bitcoin in general, not specifically no this forum.
Almost all of the people on this forum is already bitcoin user. They surely know what is bitcoin. But for people outside, they dont have any reference rather than people who they trust the most. They can easily trust people who they believe has more education in financial sector. On the case above, bankers.

But they would be harmless if that is the case.

We've been here for a very long time and the fact that we're just making jokes about those people saying Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are scam. These people won't do anything to harm bitcoin, the fact that the price is still increasing while they continue their Ponzi ideas about Bitcoin. If it is a body of a government, that could affect but not a threat.
