Am I able to solomine or not ? I would like to mine before the pow phase is over so I can stake some coin.
I'll but a few too.
You should be able to solomine - this is the best time to solomine, especially since you are not competing with a mining pool

Ican't solomine it is broken I set it up properly but nope. Now i'm annoyed.

Please contact the DEV team members here:

Joshafest:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=543861

Limx DEV:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=389271

We plan to make this team grow in the future.

Ok thanks, yes making it grow is a great plan. I hope you can get more people involved as this is one of the better coins out there that I believe will do well. Thanks you for always being so helpful around the forums. I will contact those guys tomorrow after I first restart my pc then try one more time if it still won't work I'll contact them.

what is your setup that you are using to solo? ...

saying you cant solo mine without any description of issues - is like saying my computer wont start ... what does that mean? Smiley ...

procedure - contents of conf file ... etc ...

363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEVA] NevaCoin | PoS 2.0 / PoW Hybrid | Blake2s PoW | NO Premine | on: October 16, 2016, 01:46:00 PM

Also I see the vote is slowly getting in favor of proof of work mining forever. From a security standpoint I think that might not be a bad idea. But there is still plenty of time for that to be changed, I am just wandering if anyone has any opinions on the subject...

Argument for proof of mining forever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsLrJp6cLf4&

POW could be good for the coin; however Neva would have to grow greatly in value for it to stay POW since no one would mine it with tiny block rewards that have low value. Neva still has time to grow though, under the current plan. If going to POS only, early was part of the thought process of the poll I would be against that currently. Nevertheless, I would not be against going to POS only in the future either. I would just hold coarse and see how things play out. We still need to get on a second exchange...

I am still not completely for PoS only. Like mentioned there is more than enough time to decide on this. Currently last PoW block is 5256000. PoS still has not been tested enough, and in the years to come we will see more development. Andreas gives a good point on the benefits of PoW in the video I linked above.

I contacted bter.com to list the coin for voting a few days ago... Hope there is some response.

But sure enough there will be a second exchange soon, and not a shitty one like yobit. The community is growing slowly, and slow stable growth is always better in my book.

Any seed node candidates for the next release? Smiley

we support a few coins with seednodes that are hardcoded into the wallets for a few coins ...

the issue is simply that it is done in the hope that it will support the network and backbone - and not for a 'profit' situation ...

if you want to chat about it - pm me mate ...

or get me on skype - chrysophylax69 ... irc #chainworksindustries ... though skype really is the best way - as i have that on almost every device i own ...

PM from tekyboy about B3Coin pool:

"Hello there i got error for secp256k1 did a quick fix but still it didnt go through will check sometime later about its fix"

if tekyboy needs help - i am happy to help him with that ... as i have past that side of the fix and moved to the main compile ...

he is a good guy - and so are his pools ...

Both pools down...
Impressive....
I am trying to get another pool. I have been talking to tekyboy - but I am still waiting for a reply.

if we can get a successful compilation of the daemon - we will open a pool for b3 ...

at the moment - the pools are found at http://mpos.granitecoin.com/ - but will soon change over to the permanent address of http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/ when the nameservers and dns records are all set and functional in the coming days ...

there is a fix for the first issue i encountered compiling - which is a syntax issue due to the upgrade to gcc61 - but this secondary issue is something im unfamiliar with ...

you do realize that the genesis block has a misspelled word in it ...

'satellite' is spelled 'staellite' instead ... Smiley ...

in any case - compilation errors in the latest gcc61 doesnt allow compilation fedora 24 x64 ...

some ive fixed - due to mode changes ( executable ) in some of the files in git for leveldb and secp256k1 and also new gcc61 syntax  - but the compilation error below is an actual programming issue which may also be a gcc61 syntax correction ... though i cannot seem to find anything regarding the fix for such an error recently as a great deal of fixed were back in gcc47 and gcc53 in 2014 / 2015 ...

Code:
darksend.cpp:978:29: error: cannot convert ‘bool’ to ‘bool*’ in initialization
     bool* pfMissingInputs = false;
                             ^~~~~
makefile.unix:211: recipe for target 'obj/darksend.o' failed
make: *** [obj/darksend.o] Error 1

and when trying to compile with qt5 in the same system - the same error - just in a different compilation area ...

Code:
src/masternode.cpp: In function ‘void ProcessMessageMasternode(CNode*, std::__cxx11::string&, CDataStream&)’:
src/masternode.cpp:162:26: error: cannot convert ‘bool’ to ‘bool*’ in initialization

please add bootstrap or blockchain folder to download

Sorry for the delay, but I have uploaded a BTQ Bootstrap located under the "Download" section at http://www.bitquark.info or you can click this link for direct access http://downloads.bitquark.info/BTQ-bootstrap_10-12-2016.zip

Thanks,

do you need help with bitquark mate? ...

pm me - lets discuss - if you are interested ...

there are prerequisites to how we work - but im sure if you are interested in doing anything - we can negotiate ...

tanx ...

#crysx

What kind of work do you do?

well - im the infrastructure guy ( and lead ) - skaia is the backend web dev / bot guy - steven is the core dev ...

there really isnt too much on a development level that can be done here - as our coins / projects take most of that time ... but we DO support some other projects by means of infrastructure - like nodes that can be hardcoded into the wallet for example ...

i offer only because i 'like' bitquark ... there was ( and to some extent still is ) the idea to change granite from x11 to quark ... though not soon Smiley ...

in any case - what do you need? ... maybe we can help / come to some sort of arrangement ...

feel free to take your time dev im just new here and as i read your plan im excited to see how will you implement and how this project will succeed
good luck and please let us know if when will you finish those things that is needed for this project to work out

very much appreciated ...

there is much to do - but there is much in WHAT we are doing ...

because cwi is the umbrella for the collection of projects we are involved in - this means the time frame will always be sliced up with the projects at hand ...

right now - the granite project ( also our flagship project ) is on the agenda ...

the projects that are actually 'ours' -will always be on the forefront ...

but that does not mean that we shelve the projects that we support - quite the contrary ... we support for projects that we have no ownership of - purely because they are a worthwhile project to support ... some of these projects are actually the core dev own projects - and are proud to be in support of them as well ...

however - the communities support - the investors ( in and out of crypto ) support - and your individual support is always appreciated ...

#crysx
Nice to have you around - I like the way you use words  Wink
"there is much to do - but there is much in WHAT we are doing ..."

tanx greedyjohn ...

you as a long term supporter knows the commitment level i have with this - and as such have team members that are just as committed to the success of the modules they work on ...

we dont do thing by halves - and so - the 'what' we are doing is VERY important to us ...

#crysx

We wait in anticipation of this project.

I'm so excited that I might just tinkle myself. Can't wait to see the new Granite. I've been trying to find a working wallet for some time now, with no luck, so I'm really looking forward to a new wallet being released (yes, my goals in life are small at times).

glad to hear Smiley ...

the newest granite wallets ( for preparation to the rebase ) are now compiled for windows and osx - and am looking for a 'good' repository to place them in ...

dropbox ALWAYS seems to have connection errors - and my thinking is that we should move well away from a system that disallows multiple connections to files that 'should' be available to the general public - meaning whoever wants them ... dropbox kicks the users trying to access the files - when its threshhold is reached ...

so allow me another day or so to find another place to put these files ( tanx to bumbacoin for the compiles - another ozzie in our midst ) - so that EVERYONE can have full access to them ... as soon as i do - ill publish the links ... i am looking at whether git is a good place - as it doesnt seem to have the same sort of limitations as dropbox ... if it works - we will stay with git until the new ChainWorks Industries website is completed with a download / ftp section for all the files ...

instructions of for the new wallet will be forthcoming also - as its just a matter of changing a few names around - or copying and changing and resyncing ( which is my preference ) ...

the official granite pool will be closing also - and the 'new' pool will be assimilated into the CWI pool network ...

all this will be happening in the next two months - as will the changes in the pool system ...

ozziecoin will also be moving alongside granite with CWI being the main area of focus for all the projects ...

im also updating the details of 'theteam' - being three of us currently - and still looking for others to join ...

a little more testing of the pools - and the 'beta' stamp will be placed ( and change of colour ) on the cwi pool system ... the beta will denote the the addition of the high difficulty ( hidiff ) stratum for the asic / large farms mining on all the pools - granite and ozziecoin being the first ... when testing is done on the hidiff stratums - the 'production' stamp will be set ( and another change of colour ) on the pool and full mining can proceed for the general public ...

this process ( alpha - beta - full production ) of the goldblocks pool was set in motion a while back - and is now currently the 'official' goldblocks pool for the project - incorporated in the goldblocks website also ... http://goldblocks.granitecoin.com/ ... two stratums run for this pool - lodiff and hidiff on different ports - and are currently running really well ...

a full compilation environment is currently being built specifically for the windows and osx based wallets - so that we will have them compiled and ready when the code is released ...

currently - granite 1.3.0.0 is in git - and the new wallets are in hand - so a couple more days and we should have the links for the download of the wondows and osx wallets as well as the instructions for the upgrade ...

tanx for hanging in there with us - its a massive build that we are undertaking - and cannot happen overnight ...

time will be kind though - as the features in granite 2.0.1.7 will be worth the wait ...

Hi @Crysx
just pass by and want to say Hi Smiley I want to ask about linux or windwos wallet for OZC? Any news ? I have tried to compile with QT creator in linux, but it rise some errors. You told that you will build wallets for US that don't know much about compiling things Smiley And another one, will I be able to transfer my OZC from old wallet to that new one when you build it?

Thnx in advance
keep a good work
Cheers
B

hi kingbb ...

glad you popped in again Smiley ...

the windows wallets are placed in dropbox - but dropbox ALWAYS seems to have connection issues ... so as we are moving the entire project and thread to teh ChainWorks Industries system and thread - so will the repository and all downloads as well ... we will not be continuing with dropbox when its all finished ...

as for the current wallet - if you cannot compile it in linux on your machine - i will help as much as i can ...

i need to know what linux install you have and what errors you are getting - as well as how you are trying to compile the wallet ...

i have fedora 24 x64 - and also have qt4 and qt5 installed into this system ... this new fedora 24 comes standard with gcc61 and compiles VERY differently from the previous gcc53 versions ...

in any case - its a matter of figuring out what you are doing to compile - whether you have all the dependencies installed - and what errors you receive when you try and compile ...

this thread will be locked soon - so please take the questions to the main cwi thread ... it will 'seem' a little messy at first - but that is the thread that we will be running ALL the projects from ...

cwi - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563601 ...

ill be updating all that need to in due time - as i have very little time currently ...

let us know ...

closure of THIS official granite pool ( http://grn-pool.granitecoin.com ) - to make way for the new official pools ( http://pool.chainworksindustries.com ) ...

hi all ...

this pool will soon be closing as the official granite pool by friday 6th january 2017 - and will be replaced by the pool that we have been alpha testing for the past few months as the official pool in the CWI pool system ...

this closure is part of the restructure for ChainWorks Industries - and will become part of the CWI pool framework as well as the CWI ecosystem ...

we believe this is a necessary step towards the growth of the infrastructure for granite - and being part of a larger system will enhance the facilities that are available to us in such a company ...

please stop mining here and withdraw all the coins by the end of december - as the windup in the first week of january will mean you cannot access the pool or its facilities ...

the official granite pool has been operating for years now - as a service for the granite community - and has been proud to do so ...

we want to continue this legacy of service - and joining the CWI framework is a step in the right direction ...

please setup a new account at http://pool.granitecoin.com/ and start mining there asap ...

the url WILL change when it is all signed over to ChainWorks Industries - but there will be ample time to change the address for the miners to the new address of http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/ ...

all notifications will be made in the new thread on bitcointalk ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563601 ) - and the new CWI forum when it is up also ...

we are thankful that we have such a committed community - and look forward to servicing you in the future with much bigger and better facilities ...

tanx,

Good to see, I'm all honesty I can see it going back to the 10-15k range with the right news.

You seem to have forgotten how we dropped to these rediculous levels. MasterTrader just dumped a sh*tload of his premine on top of his supporters without any deliberation. As long as he's sitting on this huge pre-mine no serious investors will ever invest in this coin anymore. MTR has to burn (almost all of) the premine. This would give some new potential to the coin. Just like AMP.

A burn has been suggested before. Not sure how much is left of the premine. Looks to be mostly on bittrex with a few large wallets.

i had suggested WAY back that the premine ( a lot of it ) can setup in the seednodes - and 'things' can be done with the coins raised int he PoS ...

NO ONE bothered to respond - for one reason or another ...

we have committed nodes and and time and effort ( with pleasure i might add ) to the network - and would have secured the network further with a large influx of nodes and PoS ...

rich DID donate some coins to the current nodes - but no one else wanted to eve consider it ...

these PoS coins could be skimmed out of the nodes - and back into the dev network FOR the community in variuos ways ... but again - did ANYONE respond to ANY suggestion i made back then? ...

so i continue watching - and occasionally chat to rich on skype when he has the time to ...

burning premine may have been a good idea to some - but it never was to me ... but here we are again guys and gals - rotating on the same finger ...

ill pull back to the background again - and keep watching ...

time will tell - as well as test the metal that mtr is made of ... and if the support that rich has shown here is anything to go by - it will be a strong system when its finished with toshidesk ...
