361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches 8000 USD on: November 17, 2017, 09:52:29 AM
Seems like you will be having your Christmas present. We may witness 10K by this month itself. Actually, it is already close to 10K, if you add the value of coins such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and other future clones. I got free BCH coins in August and they are still in my wallet. If you add up the BCH and BTG value then the net worth of 1 BTC is close to $9,500 right now.

That's right. During the last correction and BCH pump the sum of BTC and BCH prices remained more or less constant, but now it is rising. I also hold most of Bitcoin Cash I got in August (and I didn't even bother to claim Bitcoin Gold yet). The combined value looks even nicer that bitcoin alone.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Laundering on: November 17, 2017, 09:22:03 AM
Some say that you cant claim or transfer your bitcoin to a bank because they will suspect you of laundering.

I think it depends on the amount, and on country of operation. Cash is also anonymous and may be used for money laundering, although for small amounts. You may look at verification requirements and corresponding withdrawal limits at exchanges. Small amount do not raise suspicion.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price: 15k$ above to God mode? on: November 16, 2017, 07:44:02 PM
$15k price? I would say that it is not impossible within a year or so. But God mode? No. Bitcoin is becoming an investment instrument, it is not going to replace or even significantly displace fiat.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: November 16, 2017, 01:21:39 PM
It's not too late because of age, it does not matter. However, anyone investing in crypto, old or young, should be careful and do not invest more than one can afford to lose. It's a risky thing.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive Hedge Fund Likely to Begin Trading Bitcoin on: November 16, 2017, 12:08:26 PM
So bitcoin seems to gradually become an investment instrument for big players. Not an unexpected development and, from my point of view, a good one. The price will rise.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitCore BTX up, up and away! on: November 16, 2017, 09:53:50 AM
From a technological viewpoint, it's a very interesting coin. The transaction capacity and speed are excellent. A few days ago the BTX network had an incredible stress test, distributing BTX coins to all bitcoin addresses (1BTC = 0.5BTX proportion) with at least 0.01 BTC, more than 5 million outputs.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [OPEN] AltCommunityCoin [Signature Campaign] [Highest Paying] on: November 16, 2017, 07:40:46 AM
Do not have time this week;) will be the next.
Welcome to our friendly community.

I've found this coin just before the third airdrop and missed only one of them since. It's good to see it rise from almost complete obscurity and watch the progress.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [OPEN] AltCommunityCoin [Signature Campaign] [Highest Paying] on: November 16, 2017, 06:43:02 AM
Joined the campaign. Not sure if I can make a minimum of 10 posts this week, but I'll try...
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] Worldcore - Time for a worldwide scale ICO on: November 16, 2017, 06:16:59 AM
Hey everyone, thank you for the patience, you can all remove the Signatures now, I will answer every other message by editing this message now.

Thank you for the information. I'm moving to another campaign, but I will closely watch further ICO progress. Good luck!
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 15, 2017, 09:36:51 AM
Checked the price and it's $21.11 – I've made over 200% profit! Tempting to sell, but I will hold for long. Grin

Yes, it's probably third day in a row when I check Bitcore price and say to myself: "That's crazy!". I also hold, because selling a coin which gives 3% weekly airdops and rises seems to be a bad idea to me  Smiley
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Already Back On Track? on: November 15, 2017, 08:59:27 AM
Right now, things are getting back to normal and Bitcoin is showing the resiliency that many expected it would. Down the road, it is maintaining its strength in the $6,700 - $6,900 level and we all happy and satisfied with it. Do you think we are already back on track?

In terms of price, yes. And I'm not sure that bitcoin was 'off track' at all because a short correction to $5000-6000 after such spike was a completely expected move. Mining, fees and unconfirmed transactions are a different story, the situation seems to be still far from normal.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17$ for a transaction fee?!! on: November 15, 2017, 06:52:37 AM
That is the reason why I consider bitcoin in its current state as an investment instrument only (like 'digital gold'). It is not a payment system, it is too slow, expensive and unpredictable. It may be used for transferring large sums and for this purpose it is much more convenient and safe than, say, gold bullion. But for day-to-day payments? I have my credit card, thanks.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [OPEN] AltCommunityCoin [Signature Campaign] [Highest Paying] on: November 14, 2017, 11:07:35 AM
I am confused, as a Sr. Member, do I get 0.32 ALTCOM per post, or per 10 posts?

I think it is per post, otherwise the rule "posts above 50 will not be paid for" makes little sense. And the amount is too low for "per week".

I hope this campaign will last for at least several weeks. Right now I am bound to another campaign which will end in a week or so. The I will gladly join.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] Worldcore - Time for a worldwide scale ICO on: November 14, 2017, 09:13:09 AM
So the ICO may be extended for one month, but the bounty program ends today in any case?
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN][PoSToken]First PoS Smart Contract Token[Final Free Distribution] on: November 14, 2017, 09:07:10 AM
Received the final airdrop, thanks!
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is making this world a better place? on: November 14, 2017, 06:51:42 AM
My opinion seems to differ from most others, but, nevertheless...

They say, money make the world go round. Without money nothing will move around.

Money make the current economic system go round, but it is not eternal, nor is bitcoin.

Money is key in building any human civilization and bitcoin is more than just a money, it's something bigger.

No, human civilization can exist without money and probably will do it in the future. Bitcoin is a form of money, an interesting one, and in some aspects better than fiat money, but it has no fundamentally distinct features.

Do you think bitcoin value and speed will help change the face of our current civilization for good? Share with us what you think... thanks Smiley

Unlikely. It has positive aspects, as (almost) any technological advance, but they are not crucial. It may be used for both good and bad, as any other form of money can. And it may be used for changing the civilization as an instrument, but by itself it changes nothing.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please do my short survey on Bitcoin! on: November 13, 2017, 08:49:28 AM
Completed the survey. Wording of the last question was somewhat strange - is decentralization advantage or disadvantage? Also, I others already mentioned, asking if one heard of bitcoin on a bitcoin forum gives very predictable result....

379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: November 09, 2017, 12:42:03 PM
Is this real, they are having a airdrop but why asking for private key?
someone email me and asking for the private keys , be aware everyone
be careful who you transact with, some people are trying to lure and scam
but im sure who is it, just always remember if they ask for private key
get off and dont let them scam you always be aware keep safe guys

No, it's not real. The website is different from real OmiseGO, https://omisego.network/. This fake "airdrop" seems to be a massive scam attempt. Received the same e-mail leading to a form where they ask for private keys and even state that "it is safe".
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: November 09, 2017, 10:50:31 AM
iEthereum was not bad but I didn't received a really good airdrop yet, despite I applied to most of the one listed on airdropalert. Is it because i'm still a newbie maybe?

Maybe, but not always. Some airdrops require certain rank on Bitcointalk, some do not work at all. And most of them are almost worthless, at least recently. Good ones are rare.
