So are we looking at a large jump in value in the near future? Six months to a year is good for me. Once the hype starts, many people will try to catch a ride on a speeding train. I have seen "regular stocks" go up 4000% in an hour, ones on NASDAQ. It could get real interesting. The thing to remember, the only way to have cash is to convert to BTC and then sell the BTC at one of the exchanges where you can get cash. |

bitdefender trafficlight tells me dogecoin.info is malware and warns me, telling me to GTFO or suffer.
AV tells me all my miners are viruses. They just don't have up to date sig's for the software or sites. I ignore them. Firefox does that all the time with sites I know are okay. |

This diff is killing me. Only about 20K/day now. It's going to take me forever to get to 5 meillion  I'm never going to reach 1 million. I'm at 103K. I got in early and only have about 557,000 to go. Hopefully a PCIe riser cable will get here so I can get my other GPU mining. |

Wow, those sell walls are huge(10 btc each usually) but they get eaten up very fast, hopefully it is not the same guy trying to make the volume look huge. By the way, 300 likes have been achieved on Cryptsy's DOGE petition, yay:)

The difficulty is going to go through the roof first. No one is going to allow a random person with a mid-range graphics card to mine $100 a day. The article never mentions mining. Even if it did, understand the economics of China and you will know how they can pull this off. That's a different conversation though. |

Once price gets back to 70 satoshi I'm probably gonna sell about 50k. I'll hold the other 50k, but it's Christmas time.
I would hold, maybe one day 100k will be worth 1btc, you never know(keep an eye out for Max Keiser) Find the article about China in this thread. They are buying up to $0.01 USD/1 DOGE price over the next few weeks. After that they could drive the price to $0.10 or better. This is the first alt coin to challenge Bitcoin and I think it's going to be a fun ride over the next 6 months to a year. Who knows, if China gets real crazy, I'm retiring  pls proof link. daemon=1 Am i the only one who think that this "config" file that comes with the wallet is extremely suspicious? If you use it it will run the client as server with that username and password and it will connect it to these addresses. Now let's add the fact that if the client run as a server you can access it from remote by using that username and password... Ummmm, change the username and password. You can remove the server=1 and it will still connect without a problem. I have many wallets for alt coins without the server=1. That entry is basically for solo mining. In the beginning that's how we got DOGE but now it doesn't matter. Even with it, no one from outside can access your wallet. Yes you can change the password, i know, but most people won't, they will just copy-paste the file. As for "no one from outside can access your wallet", are you sure? As far as i know you can access to that client via JSON RPC commands and, for example, spend the coins there. Theoretically they could, but no ones going after us pups. If an attack took place it wouldn't matter about your wallet anyway because they would attack the blockchain not individuals per se. The only way to absolutely secure your wallet it to encrypt it. Then who cares if the blockchain is attacked. |

Thanks to BTC, China, hackers, and stupid people we are not. Price was at or above 70 satoshi/doge sometimes pushing above 100. Then hackers stole and sold 54 million in DOGE below market value which dropped everything by quite a bit. China can't use BTC anymore and so BTC is dropping as the Chinese sell off their currency. This caused an overall market drop for all cryptocurrency. So now DOGE is at about half of what it was yesterday. Thankfully though the price stabilized and will likely grow from here. Though thanks to the damage done to BTC, it may take DOGE a bit of time to pull out of it's slump. All of this happened at a bad time in DOGE's life. Don't spread fud you don't understand. That's what drives prices down. Debbie downer panic sales... Where did you see that they sold the 54 million? The thread addressing this states that the loot was sent back to the pools public donation address and miners got their payouts. White hat hacker just taught the pool owner what security is about. Well that or what no one else seems to say that possibly the owner took it and chickened out so sent it to his donation address to avoid an angry mob of techies. China can use BTC. The central bank just can't use it/redeem it for fiat or collateral. Unless there's been more recent news but that was the news that came out like a week or two ago. It's basically is the same as the US/EU as no banks are giving you fiat directly for BTC. just as an fyi about the China information...(I believe its new information from the last one). http://www.coindesk.com/china-bans-payment-companies-working-bitcoin-exchanges-sources-claim/was the reason for the drop in all crypto's today  . Until you can show volume proof that the 54 million was sold into the market, qualify it with IMO. There is no proof or probably capabilities with the limited outlets for the coin to dump that much in 24 hours without being noticed by everyone. This is just a correction in the market. The price took a 50% haircut which is a nice Fibonacci Retrace point and is now slowly recovering--key word being slowly. Also, looking at the short few days charts for DOGE, the Elliot Wave played out almost to a textbook rise and fall. |
