361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: August 10, 2018, 01:44:24 AM
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?

I can't say the impact is 100% big but i think the impact is positive to the success of ICOs. The thing is, the project owner/dev don't need to spend their money to the bounty, just offer the tokens 1-2% from the total tokens to bounty. So yeah bounty programs is useful and worth it.

That is one thing I do not like about bounty campaigns, they are paying real work that the bounty hunters do with tokens that have no value yet and that they are not sure are going to have any value in the future, this is why when I see an ico paying with BTC or with ETH at least I know that they have some real funds to promote their projects and not just tokens.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins? on: August 10, 2018, 01:35:40 AM
There's no future for 80% of Altcoins. The first 10 projects in the market will be intact and some hard working teams.
I agree, there are some altcoins that are good and deserve our backing but I think things are getting out of hand and people are investing in whatever they have in front of them and this simply cannot continue because if it does then the only ones that are going to earn any money from this market will be scammers, so people need to forget about their dreams to get rich quick and instead invest in good coins like BTC and ETH.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: August 10, 2018, 01:16:20 AM
It is not that hackers are smarter than exchanges, the problem for exchanges is that they are sitting targets, everyone knows they are a target including themselves, but they do not know where the enemy is coming from or from which direction or when it is going to appear, so hackers despite not having the same resources available have a great advantage over exchanges.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Economy Grow Forever? on: August 10, 2018, 12:59:35 AM
Without fiscal crisis or any anomalies in the future, our economical growth will be vary matured and rampage. Its the capability of the government officials on how to handle certain economical problem that could be a part of countries future development. Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency and economy is very unstable and unimaginable in terms of future. Statistical analysis might shown that their is an increase or decrease (inflate or deflate) on some aspects.
The years of great economic growth are way behind us, we have mastered the technologies needed for copying other technologies but despite what some people may think about the progress getting faster in fact it is the other way around there are less and less patents issued because it is getting more difficult to create something new and without that the economy cannot grow.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You Hodling strategy on: August 08, 2018, 02:13:55 AM
How do you think you can make more profit?

- By hodling just bitcoin for two years
- By hodling various coins for two years
- By buying and selling every other month
- By going to ICOs and hodl
- By going to ICOs and dump
- Daytradig
- Going for the Airdrops
- Other....

Just let us know about your masterplan to take over the world!

Edited to add new options

Only the first two options are about holding all the other strategies are not about holding but speculation, holding is the most simple of the strategies and yet it is incredibly effective, but since I prefer to hold for the long term then that means that I cannot hold altcoins, since one day an altcoin seems to be doing fine and the next day it crashes and disappears so the only viable coin to hold is bitcoin.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: August 08, 2018, 02:07:43 AM
What will happen on BTC if the government will said that all the bitcoin holder have to pay their tax??
Maybe the expansion of BTC community will get low than usual.
You will have to pay your taxes, I know that there are many people that do not like the idea of paying their taxes, but the countries of the world are still very strong and it will be a mistake to try to defy them, not only that even if for some reason you were able to avoid paying your taxes you will be always nervous that the government will find out and that you will end up in jail.
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you still believe in btc price predictions? on: August 08, 2018, 01:50:52 AM
Many predict their own bitcoin price. Others say the price of btc at the end of 2018 is $ 50,000. And others say that it will cost $ 100,000- $ 1,000,000 over the next few years.

But at this moment your prediction price of btc is still the same  or your predictions have changed?
My prediction has not changed much, I do not see a lot of space for a recovery, the year has slowly slipped away and we are still very far away from getting a recovery, many are hoping the SEC gives a favorable ruling but I do not think that is going to happen and this is going to cause the price to go even lower than it is right now, so if the price of bitcoin at the end of the year touches 10k we should consider ourselves to be lucky.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC holding it's own trend? on: August 08, 2018, 01:27:02 AM
Watching the markets closely and I find it interesting that while BTC has been trending up slightly over the past week, the majority of other alts are down or just wavering...could this be why BTC is trending up? Everyone is focusing on that? I thought it was interesting as normally we see everything move in tandem together but this time I'm not sure whether to invest in any alts given they seem to be going their own way...
All the attention is on bitcoin right now, the same happened when the last bull market really took off, bitcoin began going up and then the alts did not moved up immediately but instead it took some time before they began moving, that does not mean that we are going to see some kind of bull market in the next weeks, but this is something we have seen before.
Actually due to possible EFT approval, it is very much obvious that people are taking Interest in Bitcoins. You can see the Bitcoin Dominance in the coin market cap and it is continuously increasing (Currently BTC Dominance: 48.4%)

maybe most of the trader are focusing their attention to bitcoin because the bitcoin price now is at the lower price and still getting down in this week. and it makes the altcoin loss their price and gets down too deep. and maybe this will bring a good news for bitcoin itself because I think after this trends, the price can increase higher again and if this continues, the price will break the highest price more than before. but bitcoin still have many times to increase the price and it can happen in the next months.
The attention is in bitcoin due to the ETF, but it seems that is not going to get approved in August, I read that it may take until September for that happen, if that is correct then you need to prepare since it is quite likely that we are going to see the price of bitcoin move a little bit more than usual as people speculate if the SEC is going to finally going to approve the bitcoin ETF or not.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin do I need to invest in on: August 08, 2018, 01:11:42 AM
Please I want to invest in some coin but it seems that the market are red which coin should I buy now
the very right coins to buy now are Ethereum and Bitcoin or you can choose on the list of 10 best coins on the Coinmarketcap, now the market is still recovering so this is the best opportunity to buy and keep it in the next few months.
There is not much of a point to invest in any coin besides bitcoin, maybe in the future once we get a decision about the ETF we can invest in other coins but for now the best investment by far is bitcoin, and choosing any other coin in the case the ETF is approved will only mean that you are going to lose money and since I am not in this market to lose money then bitcoin is my coin of choice.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition on: August 04, 2018, 10:44:06 PM
Yes , I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition of individual, bitcoin and other cryptos is a lot of help to people who are sufferring financial crisis , If you just work hard for cryptos then at the end you earn something good that could really help and may change every individual life.
Do not focus only on the economic benefits that you can get out of bitcoin, there are many other benefits that are great, for example you are free to carry as much money as you want, the only thing you need to do is to remember your seed words and that will be enough to allow you to move any amount of money without having anything on you that will betray the fact that you are carrying a lot of bitcoin.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: Isnt it time to give up cryptocurrency ranking on: August 04, 2018, 10:14:12 PM
One thing I know. Stop looking at coinmarketcap. That is a hell of fake news for me.
There is not much of a legitimate market of one crypto currency.

I saw a lot of projects which are really good and yet they are ranked at the thousands number. It is disappointing to see more people are relying on that and they are doing some math with the market cap and whatever it is.
Even with the good exchanges listed by them they are still somewhere at the bottom.
The market price notice is just the algorithm of the website being programmed. The price of each cash flow is due to the market or the owner of the project that updates the situation. All information is just behind them, the reality is very different. Do not spend too much time listening to the market. Be prepared for your plans to achieve certain goals do not be too greedy...

Do you think there's a bit of favoritism going on with some of these sites? Some false promotion in exchange for some coins under the table? It's insider trading like on wall street, except no one will ever know it happened. That's what you've really got to be careful about with crypto.

It's not worth spending much energy crawling through these sites anyway. Learn your own criteria for judging the value of a coin and then invest little by little until you have enough conviction that it is worth that money. And certainly, don't get too greedy or it might all disappear.
It is very likely that something like that is happening behind the scenes, no one likes to think about it because the consequences of such a thing for the market will be terrible but that is why it is not always the best idea to trade your coins, because if you find yourself in the wrong side of a manipulation of the market you could easily lose a substantial amount of your capital and it will not be your fault.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Altcoins dump again? on: August 04, 2018, 10:07:18 PM
Hello! Some people over here says that oh bull market comes but I don't  see it.  I thing there is still deep bear market.
That is because many people are looking at the market and seeing what they want to see, most people that try to remain calm and try to be very realistic about how the market is going to move do not make any kind of prediction like that, the truth is that most likely we are going to see the market not moving much during the rest of the year and it is likely the next year is going to be similar to this one.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: August 04, 2018, 09:56:04 PM
As we all know, stock market had been there for a very long time now and on the other hand, cryptocurrency is a fast rising trend when it comes to the world of trade and commerce. Some may prefer to invest in crypto because of high returns but some will still go with stock market and play it safe.
In your opinion, what will be the best option to invest your money on?
The stock market is not the place to play it safe, it may be safer than the market of cryptocurrencies but the market is going up only because governments have been printing money like crazy in order to give that impression to people so they can keep the scam going on, while the cams in this market are big the size of the scams in this market are minuscule by comparison.
It is just about making money, it is best to utilize both markets because that is the best thing to do in order to not miss any opportunity because even in the stock market you can have a gain which is at least 10% in just a day just like in the cryptocurrency so if you are really craving for profits then you should have a lot of source of income.
If you can get those kind of profits in a day then you are investing in companies with a very low market cap, if the market of stocks grew 10% in a single day that will be national news and if the price went down 10% then everyone will be screaming like crazy fearing that we were going to enter in another recession or that an economic crisis is near us.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: What are your plans for the next 5 years in Finance? on: August 02, 2018, 10:54:42 PM
We all have life plans. I just have my own business even if it's just a little bit that passive income is just fine for me. I intend to have my own ricemill store and this is my hard work to be fulfilled today. To my old age I will have my own passive income and I will not have any problems yet.
To get passive income is the key, I do not want to work all my life, I want to retire something that is really difficult in my country since the inflation is very high, that is why I need to get assets that can resist inflation and that can also generate a positive cash flow but for that I need a lot of money and bitcoin is critical to my strategy to get that kind of money in a relatively short amount of time.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best Cryptocurrency to Invest? on: August 02, 2018, 10:47:37 PM
Here's a guide on how to do cryptoinvesting.

An excerpt from http://cryptodime.net/how-to-pick-the-best-cryptocurrency-to-invest-a-guidline-to-trading/

If you have decided that you want to jump into this rapidly growing market, then there are some very important things that you need to understand. In this guide, you will learn how to choose the best cryptocurrency investment for you. We will also analyze a few hot currencies, to kickstart your research. Keep in mind that this guide focuses on long-term investing strategies and NOT active trading.
The Best Cryptocurrency to Invest in is…
Anyone who tries to tell you that the “X” cryptocurrency is the absolute best cryptocurrency to invest in, probably has a very large vested interest in it. In reality, there are will mostly likely be several big winners in cryptocurrency. It’s like the dot com boom, where companies like Microsoft, Oracle and Google ultimately became blockbuster investments. But you only made money in those investments, if you understood why they were good investments AND you had a reason to keep those investments for the long term. Otherwise there would have been a big temptation to sell them as soon as you made a little bit of profit. If you don’t understand what a cryptocurrency does or why it’s valuable, then don’t invest in it. Many of these cryptocurrencies are going to be a passing fad.

There will be a select few cryptocurrencies that will be great investments. Bitcoin has already shown us the potential. But the majority of coins will fade into obscurity. Since nobody knows which ones will be huge winners and which ones will be epic fails, we believe that the best investment strategy is to have a portfolio of currencies. Putting all of your eggs into one basket is a recipe for disaster. You don’t have to understand every single technical detail of each currency. However, you should read a lot about a currency that you want to invest in and make a very informed decision.    That is the only way to find the best cryptocurrency investments.

With so many scams going on in the market diversification is not going to be enough, you really need to know everything about the coin in which you are investing if you do not then you are gambling with your future, which is the main reason why we see people complaining every day about an investment they made without thinking and how they have lost all their money because of that decision.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the best time of the day to study about Economics? on: August 02, 2018, 10:37:46 PM
My opinion is that it is necessary to listen to lectures during the day, since the brain is still capable of catching everything, and in the evening it is necessary to repeat all the tasks to do.
This is why it is important to always try to make time early in the morning to learn not only you will still fresh and ready to study but also you will be unaffected by all the things that happens during the day, after all if you have a bad day at work you are going to be less motivated to study and instead you will like to do something that relaxes you like watching TV or playing some video games.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: August 02, 2018, 10:30:18 PM
Banks are a continuous problem. Bureaucracy, time limits, withdrawal / enrollment limits / need to confirm the sources of the daughters. And most importantly - in any crisis simply freeze money on accounts. Continuous minuses.
The fact that banks can simply close their doors in the case of an economic crisis is very bothersome as well, they make guarantees they are going to pay you your money but when the time comes to fulfill their promises they accept they defrauded all the people and now you are the one paying the consequences of their mistakes, that is why I prefer bitcoin over those liars.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you stay in crypto if BTC does not recover? on: August 02, 2018, 10:18:23 PM
Hi,

Just wondering if you guys will stay in crypto (aka hold or sell your BTC holdings) if the price does not recover.

Lets say we are still around 6k-7k by December 2018 => Will you wait it out or give up and say "OK, we had a nice ride but we are not going up again"?

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)
If the price never recovered I will get out of the market, however I am a very patient person, there are some that got out of the market after a few months, but I am not like that I am willing to hold for at least 5 years before selling my coins, 5 years it a fair amount of time to let bitcoin recover, if it does not happen by that time then I will sell.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need price crashes and panic selloffs on: August 01, 2018, 03:11:58 AM
This is just a thought that occurred to me while reading some posts around here, feel free to discuss it or even criticize it. So if we want Bitcoin to rise in the future, we need it to crash first and many wannabe traders to sell off their coins at a loss when the price is low. If people don't close their positions in panic now and just wait out bad times, they simply won't let prices grow later because they will get out whenever the price rises just enough for them. But if they fix their losses, they will no longer have bitcoins to record minor profits and thus drag the price down in the future. As a consequence, the price can surge higher without a lot of selling pressure at bigger figures when the hype and buying frenzy begins anew.

The bottom line is that it is kinda required for Bitcoin to crash occasionally for the prices to rise higher eventually.
It is completely inevitable, many people think that everyone in the forum will become rich by holding their coins, and while technically that could be true, the major players that want to enter in the market of bitcoin are not going to allow that so they are going to manipulate the market so the weak hands sell for a bad price while they buy those coins, it is that simple, which is why we must avoid falling into that trap and not sell our coins to them.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: August 01, 2018, 02:58:22 AM
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?
Without bounties icos will not get the desired exposure and they will have to rely in paid channels that do not have the amount of people interested in cryptocurrencies to justify the expense, this is why any project that wants to have any chance needs to create a bounty campaign to let the people of the community to know that they exist and if they have a good idea then they could receive a lot of funding to make their idea a reality.
