361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is amazing on: August 08, 2017, 11:31:51 AM
Hi guys,
I been sort of a enthusiast and involved in crypto since 2013 I think. I haven't been that active until last month when I really put tons of hours reading and catching up.
I have talked so much about crypto with family members that they ask me to save some funds for them in crypto and I believe BTC is the safest bet. I got some at 2700 but the price is going up like crazy, usually there is a correction but it seems BTC has a rocket in its behind Smiley
My question is for long term is it better to wait or is the price going to keep rising. Maybe we have a new bottom?
I know it's speculation but curious what people are thinking.

Other than that I'm glad to be a part of this great technology and promoting it.

It is better to hold bitcoin it always gets pumped and dumped, but also it increases year by year. You can check the charts, ofcourse at the moment it is more violaite, because more people have invested in it, but still the tottal market cap is too small at the moment and bitcoin has a potential of growing.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [XUC] Exchange Union Coin: Bridging Digital Currency Exchanges Globally on: August 08, 2017, 10:49:24 AM
Don't you guys think this will once again turned into a scam just like how tokenmarket supported ETHBITS which by now the dev team run away already? ETHbits was to deleiver their exchange site as well just as this XUC is. I think this are the same kind of guys still. Exchange is the easiest project to come up with.

Yeah, I think XUC team just want to get free traffic from bitcointalk. Can you explain this tokenmarket ? Why u supported scam project ? Your project always wasting my times

This doesn't sound good.

ICO is cancel and no news ? Tokenmarket will finish in scam section if they don't honor bounty, bounty is work for what I saw; some guys doing youtube video, make the buzz on twitter, others translate in their mother language, I'm wearing myself their signature from 10+ days ...  ICO's become more and more scam, only get traffic from bitcointalk then quit.

I was part of factom team, we never ever scam anyone!

EDIT / NOW I remove my signature, don't missed me or anyone else tokenmarket.
Guys you need just to learn to read and search. Why you complain, if you dont understand anything? It is stated above that the project has already raised sufficient funds and they didn`t need to do any ICO. This project is successfull already and you will( i hope not) receive your tokens... Just try to open your eyes sometimes.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Kraken BCH deposit/withdrawal is now online! on: August 07, 2017, 09:45:35 PM
How did it take them a week, when it took HitBTC a day to get this setup?  Why did they delay deposits for so long as they were planning the bcash split for a long term beforehand?  Did they not plan to have deposit/withdrawal support until recently?
Really don`t compare Kraken with HitBtc. They are on a really different levels, kraken is much bigger and has gained a lot of trust from users, thats why they waited for it to be secured for transactions and set up everything on a high level, for BCH to be traded smoothly on their exchanger. HitBtc is just adding everything when there is a chance(by the way a lot of complains from users of HitBtc about losing their funds).
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin should i buy? on: August 07, 2017, 09:41:07 PM
I would advise you to take a look on Bitquence, it has been released only a little time age and has a great potential of growing. Its price has pumped for 300+% for the last 7 days.
Dont miss a chance to grab some. Grin
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 07, 2017, 09:37:24 PM
Guys, what do you think about Hush?
They say, they are going to release a Messenger soon. The price should go up I think?
Never heard of it before, but i have researched a little bit about it. It seems that this coin can have a potential, really great developers and also an idea of the project. The only problem i can see so far is only one exchanger, which i guess still stoping this coin from positive movement Smiley
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would Crypto be the future currencies if it's so volatile? on: August 07, 2017, 09:27:45 PM
At the momtny market cap of all cryptos is really small and in the nearest future we wont see any changes in economics.
Still FIAT would be much more stronger and cryptos wouldnt replace it for sure.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: SegWit Activation Tomorrow 8th August 19:50 UCT on: August 07, 2017, 09:25:09 PM
Are you excited?

Not really. Everyone that had a clue about Bitcoin knew Segwit was going in sooner or later. It's the most tested code ever, it's perfectly fine. Im tired of conspiracy theorists and their bullshit. I wonder where they will go once we get Segwit enabled and nothing wrong happens. They will stick around for a while waiting for a doomsday scenario that will never come, that will be fun to see. They will become like Alex Jones of cryptocurrency waiting for collapse.

The price may drop for all I know. People like to sell the news. Just buy the dip, we are going $5000 this year (if NYC agreement clowns don't ruin the price, and hardforkers are always ready to ruin the price with their idiocy)
I think that 5000$ is too much, segwit is not always pumping the price, ofcourse we saw a huge pump from Litecoin, but if you look on Viacoin, which also has Segwit its price stays and doesn`t grow. I guess we will see bitcoin about 4000$ by the end of this year.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: August 07, 2017, 09:21:47 PM
Bitcoin has mastered a few challanges in 2017, and that makes me believe in a bright future of it.
Segwit will activate soon, the fork has passed with nearly no damage, and the mainstream news about bitcoin have turned into neutral, sometimes even positive.
I think we are on a good path to see bitcoin prosper in the coming time.
Not only in 2017, I mean in the coming years.

Thats true! Bitcoin has suffered already lots of dumps and pumps. Also this story with useless fork Smiley
Nevertheless it suistained and it is still number one! I also see a bright future for this coin.

Guys! I am totally disappointed.

There are users who has been approved but did not make any posts at all!
I also see some people who did less posts than required.

Next time, only users who did minimum amount of posts going to be paid.
Not less than 20 per week. And not more than 40 per week.

Bounty campaign participants who did not make any posts for a week will be removed from the campaign. No regrets.

DS
Received my payment and everything seems to be fine!
Thank you guys. I will try my best to promote you further in the future Smiley

374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin should i buy? on: August 04, 2017, 09:50:31 PM
I would suggest this 3 coins: Ubiq, WAVES and Viacoin. All of them are undervalued and all have a potential of growing.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to have fulltime income with altcoins trading ?? on: August 04, 2017, 09:49:00 PM
I would say mostly yes, it is possible by buying on dumps and selling on pumps, but you can occure such situation that was in July, when everything was dropping and oumoing as hell. At this time i wouldn`t suggest to trade, in this scenario you wouldn`t get a profit ofcourse Smiley
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think i will be happy when all my investments show up green on: August 04, 2017, 09:46:31 PM
Nope, because I don't own any shitcoins currently, nor do I have too much invested in bitcoin at the moment.

Yes, it feels good when your little portfolio of coins is in the green, but we both know how quickly that can change.  Hopefully for your sake what you own aren't the worst of the worst of shitcoins.  Selling when you make a profit is not frowned upon,  you know.
Nowadays it is much better to invest in altcoins, than in bitcoin really. I guess you should also stop considering normal coins, that have a great potential as a shitcoins Smiley They offer much more opportunity than bitcoin.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin that is good for 1 month profiting on: August 04, 2017, 12:32:04 PM
Just read through the threads in Altcoin Discussion orr Speculation, there are lots of such topics. After it you can just try to analyze and decide which coin is better to invest in.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding and Cashing Out of an Altcoin on: August 04, 2017, 12:30:04 PM
For long term hodl you should always keep in your own wallets, you only move coins from your wallets when you really need to.

If you have a lot of coins to cash out, you choose a few of the top exchanges, register, verify your account to increase limits and enable 2FA, then you start distributing your coins among them and selling.

This works particularly well with Litecoin as it is supported by major exchanges.
Why not to hold them on a trusted and popular exchanges? It is also an option for example Kraken and Bittrex.
It would be even easier and you don`t need to pay fees for transactions.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: August 04, 2017, 12:28:00 PM
I think it depends on the goverment position, some of the countries ban bitcoins( as it is illegal ), others are trying to involve them in their economy. In this case i like Russia position, which tries to do a new cryptocurrency for its financial banking sytem. When the world will see the potential and legalization of the cryptocurrencies, than i guess we will see more and more retailers accepting Bitcoins Smiley
380  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: August 04, 2017, 12:22:19 PM
It's really good question to discuss. We all know that many people prefers bitcoin because it is old, known and trusted. But there are something which people don't like as time goes, for example high transaction fees and low block size. But people trust to bitcoin so much, it's currently hard to beat btc. Maybe in future there will be 1 good altcoin, better than bitcoin which will gain more trust and popularity, really hard to discuss but I am optimist on bitcoin and I think it will be always as first in cryptocurrencies as google is first in search engines.
I think it is just a matter of time... Even if we just compare bitcoin and ETH, they are both good, but in technological way ETH is more ahead, WAVES is even better and also Viacoin is upcoming trend. Bitcoin gained power for several years and became one of the greatest cryptocurrencies, others coins are new players on this arena. I think bitcoin could be replaced, maybe even in a few years already.
