ANy advice on running cgminer with a 6570?  I can only get 28 khash/sec. and it will barely let me overclock it and I can't get past 10 intensity without crash.  Thanks
I believe it's the same story as for 5XXXs, you must be using Catalyst 12.8 drivers.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching][0%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: August 13, 2013, 08:30:02 PM
cgminer users on multipool, do you have --no-submit-stale enabled in you config?

Also, has anyone changed any default settings for the following:

--queue
--scan-time
--expiry

expiry only works in junction with submit-no-stales. As I understand it if you've had the data longer than expiry then your cgminer considers it stale, even though it might not really be stale. I deleted --expiry and --submit-no-stales from my config file.

I've tried queue from 0 to 10 and see no effect. I've tried scan-time from 5 to 120 and see no effect. I think kslavik is right that they do not work for stratum servers. I'm going to delete them and see.

I tried switching pools from cgminer by selecting "P" then "S" then the pool number from the list. However, when I check MP the miner is still mining the same pool as the first pool listed in my configuration URL list. Anyone noticed that  Huh

Same coin for the whole test but I forgot to write it down.
It was done on the first day we could specify Difficulty.
I selected 64 as the best value.

Well, actually one fan on the 7950 is broken, that is why I run it at lower clock than usually, so that it won't get too much heat.

My results with higher TC have been worse, 8192 gives the best results for me.. I don't know why that is so.

I bought a new fan for $14 on ebay and fixed my 5970 with just a screwdriver.

CGB added on 3336.  Cosmos will be tomorrow.
I love you man!!!  Grin

BTW, I can't open the webpage today. Behind in my reading too.

I want to solo mine with 10 miners on a home network. Do I need to leach a longpoll from someone's pool on each miner, or just the miner hosting my coin wallet  Huh
TIA

Heads up!  The Bottlecap thread is reporting another possible fork in progress...

UPDATE: might just be one pool (not multipool) and possibly Crypsy that's on the wrong chain...

Maybe it should be named BottledCrap (CRP)  Huh

I'm still plagued by unrecoverable stratum disconnects when I try to mine one of the embryonic coins. I just can't afford to use MP until a new release of cgminer fixes this bug.

Stratum disconnects happen every time the MP switches coins.

I'm having the same problem on one of my miners. I'm currently using CGWatcher to restart CGMiner whenever there are no accepted shares in one minute, sick/dead GPUs are detected or API access becomes restricted. Suboptimal, but it works.
Thanks for the tip. I'm going to get CGWatcher.

I'm still plagued by unrecoverable stratum disconnects when I try to mine one of the embryonic coins. I just can't afford to use MP until a new release of cgminer fixes this bug. It never happens on LTC or NVC and I think FTC. I sure wish there was a MultiPort just for LTC, NVC and FTC.

I see folks are mining CAPS again, are they going to get to keep their earnings or are they just spinning their wheels mining orphans?

I cannot connect to either TRC server.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BigVern CAP pool is forked [message from Mullick] on: July 28, 2013, 06:59:02 PM
You'd think you'd be grateful that your NanoCoin got the endorsement of MultiPool. Too bad Big Vern doesn't have the quality control we do and should be orphaned for causing the fork.

If Cryptsy and Big Vern caused the fork then their chain should be orphaned.

Is there an optimal setting to set my miners for all of the coins mined at Multipool?  I'm wondering specifically about scantime and expiry.
Thanks!
BB
Since we generally find blocks fast on many coins.. I find 5s scan and 30s expiry seems to work well. Test and see is all I can say really.. laong with your DIFF setting. (I use 64)
GL.
How can you tell where to set queue, expiry and scantime. I've tried all kinds of values, except the very low ones you use, and do not see any change. Do these parameters actually do anything? I asked in the cgminer forum and never got an answer.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Profit Snapshot on: July 28, 2013, 12:27:51 PM
I suspect there's a bug in the Profit Snapshot. I used Burnside's LTC Profitability Calculator and enter my donation as the fee and zero for electricity and my average scrypt hashrate to get a daily value and converted to BTC. The Profit Snapshot is 2.5x higher.

A few days ago it was pretty reasonable so I think the bug is recent.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / CampBX deposit address expires on: July 28, 2013, 12:13:05 PM
Has anybody lost coin depositing it to CampBX? I just discovered they dispose of their deposit addresses within a week. My last BTC deposit vaporized.

I'm going to deposit all BTC to my own wallet so I'll have an audit trail. It surprised me that there's no record at Cryptsy or BTC-e of my BTC withdrawals.

I am getting a quite strange error message when trying to scrypt mine with 3x 7950s in an older Core2Duo machine.
Without setting ANY parameter (not even intensity) just pool data, I am getting the following error:
Error -5: Enqueueing kernel onto command queue. (clEnqueueNDRangeKernel)
All 3 GPUs are set to OFF and no mining whatsoever
Drivers ver 12.8 and SDK 2.7
Any idea what that could be?
Could it be that there is an issue with the machine having only 2gb of ram?
"Without setting ANY parameter..." So you don't any *.conf in your cgminer folder?
"All 3 GPUs are set to OFF..." How did you set the GPUs to off if you didn't set any parameters?

As for memory, I keep hearing how scrypt mining is very RAM intensive. I've heard you need more RAM than you have video memory. I don't see that with my miners, e.g.:
Dedicated 4x7970 miner has 12 GB GDDR5 plus 10 GB DDR3 and I still have 8.69 GB available.
Dedicated 3x7970 miner has 9 GB GDDR5 plus 4 GB DDR3 and I still have 3.02 GB available.
2x7970 on my workstation, several other programs running, has 9 GB GDDR5 plus 8 GB DDR3 and I still have 5.36 GB available.
You might want to go to 4 GB but I suspect your problem is elsewhere.

Win7 x64 drivers 13.4 7970 gives me 714kh/s on 1050/1500 settings on cgminer 3.2.1
What TC, I, temp-target and are you changing GPU Vddc Huh
1050/1500 won't even run on my 7970s.
