There is some sort of issue with the Slack API and the invite bot I was trying to use. I'll keep doing research. In the mean time, anyone wanting to join the official DeepOnion slack, send me a PM.
Last time i checked they were still setting up the slack channel. Might have to wait a couple of days before it's active. Fixed it for now. @crypto-rainbow, can you confirm I am admin for the slack so people aren't hesitant to sign up? Updated Slack Invite Link |

I'm very new to the cypto world. Can anyone explain what staking means? If it's anything like the duel arena in runescape, that'd be cool.
Staking is similar to gaining interest on a bank account. You leave your coins in a wallet, and you are rewarded for strengthening the network via staking rewards. |

mining is now really slow. my 38 mh/s has netted around 6 onions in the last 24 hours. i hope the price reflects that when it hits exchanges. the asics are killing it as usual.
How ?  I ran for 24 hour at around 24 mh but 0 outout in solo. will there need to change username with wallet address or its fine for solo mining ? The announcement post on page 1 lists the current mining pools. There is also a post on the DeepOnion forums listing them here |

Can someone please confirm if there is any way to buy onions anywhere yet? If we are interested enough to want more than the Airdrop provides it's a little frustrating that there doesn't appear to be any marketplace for them.
I know some people are mining, but I don't have that type of equipment.

An interesting project, solid introductory post. I'll be checking back on this soon. Keep up the good work guys  p.s. what is the required number of MASS for masternode? How much MASS is needed for a master node? You don't, your MASS represents a pool of many different cryptocurrencies with multiple PoS and Masternode wallets in each, even having 1 MASS entitles you to stake your share of all of them. The more MASS you have the more staking weight you have when you are staking, and therefore more portion of the staking rewards. OK, thank you for the clarity. Very interesting concept, I like the idea. Keep up the good work guys, I'll throw some support in. Just participated in the pre-sale! Super easy instructions, used MEW. Looking forward to this!! |

Coins must be in your wallet for more than 24 hours before they mature. After those 24 hours have passed, as long as you are fully sync'd, and unlocked for staking, you should see the staking icon turn green. I dont think it's that simple. I have had coins in my wallet since 14th july, and i still dont have any mature coins. So it must be more complex than a simple 24 hour timer. I had same issue, it is that simple. Delete everything in your DeepOnion folder in AppData other than your wallet.dat, and re-open the wallet. It took about an hour for it to start staking once I completed these steps. I very much you the dev keeps the airdrop participators list anonymous and not lists it.
I don't want to appear on a list somewhere where people can look me up.
I assume this is already the case, the anonymity. So technically this is a question.
Can someone see me on a list during the airdrops?
