361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there anything that is still 'undervalued' on: May 05, 2017, 10:13:26 PM
it's a strange time right now if you wanna put money in.

big risk and the potential gains don't seem worth it with so many coins now.

people seem to be thinking it's breeze to reach billions and it has been for some.

it seems exactly like 2013 was for bitcoin. everyone seemed to think world domination was inevitable.

a lot of that price was down to gox and China crap but I have no faith in the integrity of alt markets. Omd f

Kind of agree. We are not quite at Tulip mania stage yet but people are getting complacent and thinking they can invest in any top 20 coin and it will just keep going up.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PIVX on some next level shit on: May 05, 2017, 10:10:22 PM
Never even considered their ability to do something like this  Shocked

https://youtu.be/Jp6TRP7epRk

I expect you think something like this will help the dwindling PIVX price. Actually to me it highlights the problem with PIVX that is it just a copy paste coin that has been pumped and has not real innovation of justification for its existence so it's looking for something to keep the bullshit party going.

PIVX is a dash cut and paste worthless coin and will in time return to the dust it came from.

The following list: http://borzalom.hu/richlist.html

shows a much smaller total of XBY (for my spending wallet) than what is actually is my wallet.  Am I looking at it incorrectly?

I'm betting you have your money in two or more addresses in your wallet?

No, I have only used one address to receive coins in my spending wallet.

Can you say which wallet address it is?

Did you update wallet?

Update?  No, I just downloaded the wallet but maybe I still need to update.  Do I have to do everything over again with the static node?

I got to go now. But one I assume the static node money won't show on the rich list as its offline. But yes there was an update a few days ago you must do, just save it over your old download but backup first. Maybe ask in slack if that doesn't help.

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YES YOU CAN get $200 000 dollars !!just for saying hello on a thread here on bct on: May 05, 2017, 08:32:42 PM
It's a stupid argument. Everyone is wise after the fact. I could of bought Bitcoin at $1 I could of bought dash two years ago for almost nothing, I could of got 50k of ripple for being a memeber here.

The biggest one by far was NXT which was for a year or so massive and was distributed to those who blindly trusted and sent BTC to an address. Many accused it of being a scam but the fact is if you sent even as little .5 of a BTC you could of made a million bucks plus.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 05, 2017, 08:26:00 PM
40 nodes so far, that's not bad.

Am I right in saying that IF later somone wants to sell the coins connected to the node then they can sell the node to whoever wants it? That would be great I assume because you can sell your coins and also many would be willing to buy it off you knowing they can get an income so you benefit from the passive income and even some more if you pass it on to some else? Am I right?
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 05, 2017, 02:18:45 PM
Who sold the 7300000XBY, he did not have any value?

It was a buy from one person, not a sale. prices are being pushed down and some quick enough are taking cheap coin. Its not my problem.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 05, 2017, 01:43:50 PM
If people are really tired of Yobit dumps then I recommend you put some BTC on the BUY wall and then at least you can profit if they keep doing it.. Or they will stop and buy off SELL wall. This is how Yobit traders get away with what they do. Be smart.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 04, 2017, 07:53:11 AM
All good. Just would love to get away from the wolves in Yobit. I have cofidence all will work out in time. Thanks for your work.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 04, 2017, 05:58:33 AM
I feel like as long as we are only on ccex and yobit particularly yobit the price will never really soar. They manipulate the price up and down as they wish.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 02, 2017, 05:00:35 AM
wouldnt it be better to let the very talented guy who did the litecoin logo to do.all the visuals. everything else looks amateur and a shitcoin ive seen.

btw all these newbie accounts me included i expect from yobit users just makes this look like a shitcoin. Dont post pointless hype.

I agree you would be a great addition to the team as your interest seems in similar area. please buy some coins at these dirt cheap prices so you can benefit from helping. Who knows if this tech is really something great we can partner with Curecoin and share tech.

Funnily enough both our marketer and developer would love i bet to help Curecoin as they both have some disabilities. Could be a fruitful partnership.

Sharing this post by seedit122 this from the Slack. This is my vote:

Ok honestly here is the deal, we need to decide how much for a masternode/static right? If we reach DASH's price point the coin will be around 80 to 85 cents. A million coins will run $800,000, which means only millionaires can run nodes. That's insane. If you want a coin based on community it should be more accessible. It shouldnt be about status it should be about community involvement, and besides people can run multiple nodes anyway so why limit the amount by so much? A stronger network, the better, so more nodes = more strength, plus you can put on the website the fact that we are running hundreds of nodes. The less of something, the better as well - lower node req means higher future price. If Borzalom wants 300 nodes thats even more reason to lower node req. What happens if someone buys and doesnt set up a node? Loses their coins? Too risky. Lower node req down to 10k - 100k range. Pull the poll, say that it was a mistake due to technicalities or something and we have lowered the node req.

Well said! +100 to you sir seedit!

You can't just start changing the rules for running a staticnode because it would become to expensive for people that want to run one later. It is still cheap to buy 1000000 coins, for the people that want to invest later it will be more expensive when the value rises, that is how things work in the real world.
The thing is that early investors will get the most benefits when a project succeed and it must be that way because they are the ones taking most risks from the start. To be able to get enough coins to run a masternode i sold a part of my Wetrust tokens, a token that a lot of people think that will do very well on the long run. If the amount of XBY needed to run a static node would become much lower then i would feel cheated because i could of made more profit trading Wetrust tokens, 500000 coins i have no problem with but lower i would say no.

Me and other investors were buying while people were spreading FUD and i can say that before the release of the first video by CCRevolution i was very carefull but after hearing him speak i was convinced that they will do their best to bring this to a good end, so i invested a lot more. You can't please everyone with your choices but i can say that the XBY community will become much stronger even when 1M coins is needed to run a staticnode.

I get your point but also it has always been a community project foremost and so the community deciding this is in line with the ethos of the project. I think we have to think long term and assume we will have a much higher price than now. Also imagine the FUD if people can say only millionare whales will control fhe network. I would say whatever is best for the coins security is the best price for a node.

XBY is posted among the hottest BTC markets in C-CEX. One of the top trading volume coins on Yobit too. That's interesting, looks like the coin has been drawing some attention lately (or someone been using his funds to create the appearance of that). Still waiting for further explanation from devs about PoSign and stuff

it all sounds good in theory, a little bit too good honestly i just wonder if they have plans to actually make it or just keep the plates spinning till they can dump?

Im serious, not fuding, just wondering what this really is...

This guy is 1000% troll... he just made a total fool of himself on our Slack:

you seemed to of missed out the parts where i asked you questions about distribution etc you refused to answer.

i dont understand why you are acting like a baby about distribition. the biggest whale after ccex and yobit wallets has 40m coins which is only 20 btc worth. ive bpught about 1m coins now for about 0.5btc. you can buy 1% of the coin now today for 5btc! its people own stupidity if they dont buy cause the market has been there to buy for ages and stiĺl is.

why not buy instead of acting like a fool.

Can I suggest a new moderated thread when the team get their ducks in line and have a new website and someone to do the graphics etc. All great coins early on get FUDed to death because traders are frustrated they can't buy a large amount cheap so they want the price drop.

agree. I wonder if we should change the name later. its fine for crypto but its not very user friendly if average people use it.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 25, 2017, 07:08:20 AM
bought some more while at work computer. hopefully wont be fired for doing  Grin

I dont know why the price has not rocketed yet. but kind of gllad it hasnt yet.

shitty temp website but here is some info.

http://xtrabytes.club/#

I'm not a mathematician but I'd guess there are several isues and possible exploits with the system presented. Hopefully others who are familiar can comment.

Also, what is the initial distribution method? Premined and sold on exchange, aka ICO?

very unique distribution actually. there was an ico on ccex that was a scam. ccex allowed the investors to fork to recover their coins and this project rose out of the ashes. im learned about this myself so dont expect me to have all the answers. sorry typing on phone on work break.

None of that sounds like unique, in fact, quite the opposite. But good luck I guess.

maybe unusual is a better word. personally have seen coins forked and revived but i cant remember on ico being converted into another project mid ico but i could be wrong. anyway it wasnt like it was by design more turning a shitty situation around so i guess new developers cant be judged too much on it.

That doesn't say much. What about IPv6 or Tor nodes - both of which is trivially easy to get dozens of?

well tor at least is a non starter huge problems which could potentially land you in jail.

https://www.eff.org/torchallenge/what-is-tor.html

plus like masternodes you would earn from owning and running a node.
